Authorisation required to activate MPOS in APO - DP

Hi,
we followed the following steps for creating an MPOS
1. we created an MPOS by copying an existing MPOS - Created without problem.
2. we tried to activate it -
      ( 2a. It should create an internal infocube, visible in RSA1
        2b. normally shows as M=A
        2c. this cube gets deleted once we deactivate the MPOS.)
3. In our case cube gets created and is shown as M not equal to A in RSA1, hence MPOS doesnot gets activated. when we delete the MPOS, this cube does not get deleted.
what is to be done to ( i think some authorisation change is required) to overcome this problem.

Hello,
When you copy form the existing MPOS, first check that you have the authorisation to original MPOS.
May be that is the reason that you are not getting the your new MPOS activated.
So may be you can overcome this problem if you create new MPOS manually. ( Having same Characteristics as you required from the original MPOS).

In addition to great reply (+5), basically this is similar to CUCM which you need to have in order to run Unity Connection (or you could have CME). So, if you have CUCM running it will be very similar concept. If this is new install you want to definitely go the virtual path.

Required to Activate iPad After Rebooting

Has anyone recently rebooted their iPad, then have a request to enter Apple ID and password to reactivate iPad? I received the following message prior to the passcode screen:
"Activate iPad. This iPad is currently linked to an Apple ID (my Apple ID abbreviated). Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this iPad." Spaces for Apple ID and Password were provided. Then a link to "Activation Help" was given, which I clicked. It said:
"A password is required to activate this device because its owner has used Find My iPhone to link it to their Apple ID.
If this is your device, enter the Apple ID and password you used to set up iCloud.
If you were given this device or purchased it second-hand, you will need to contact the original owner to have them remove this device from their account. Additional information can be found at: support.apple.com/kb/TS4515."
I went to this website on my PC . . . no such website exists.
I sense this is a malware attack to shake me down for money to unlock my device. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm planning to go to the local Apple Store this afternoon for advice.

The page does exist, it's just that it's now been renamed (that's the original name, Apple have been renaming their troubleshooting and help pages) : Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account - Apple Support (my browser redirects me to the new page from http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515 ).
What do you mean by 'rebooted' your iPad ? If you reset it back to factory defaults, or restored to a backup, then you will see the activation lock screen asking for the id and password that you were using in Settings > iCloud on the iPad (and if you had Find My iPad enabled), it's a theft deterrent. If you type in your id and password the iPad should reactivate.

That's a critical failure. It can not be fixed. It is usually the result of jailbreaking or hacking the phone to unlock it.

Requirements to activate an iPhone 4S

When the iPhone 5S came out, a family member upgraded from a 4S to a 5S. At least, I think that's what happened. Anyway, what I remember was they went to the AT&T or Apple store to pickup the new phone. Took it home, migrate to the new phone. When they wiped the old iPhone 4S and upgraded the software (I think it's still running iOS 6), it was stuck not being able to activate.
My brother took it to the Apple store, who proceeded to say it was broken, but was eligible for $$ in a a trade-in to buy a new 5S. They said the phone must not be communicating with he Apple servers.
This was over a year ago now. And I want to get this to one of our kids. Does a 4S require an activate sim card to be able to activate? If I perform the AT&T unlock process, will it activate without any sim or with an inactive AT&T sim?

In iTunes it gives the error:

On the iPhone doing activation over WiFi, it says:
Could not activate phone

No eth0 device required to activate Matlab software

So, MathWorks requires a local Host-ID in order to use their Matlab software. According to their docs this is how you find the Host-ID, but such steps did not work for me.

Also, when I attempt to start Matlab with a license file using what I thought to be the correct Host-ID I just get this error:
License checkout failed.
License Manager Error -9
The hostid of your computer (000000000000) does not match the hostid of the license file

I think this problem has to do with not actually having any "eth0" that is expected by matlab according to:

Or crack open the thing that generates the Host ID (assuming it's not compiled) and replace eth0 with (probably) enp0s23 or whatever you NIC name is.
I saw that in my research but was worried that actually changing the name of the device would cause other cascading issues. Will this be the case?
Also, being quite new to Arch Linux, I do not have anything in /etc/udev/rules.d/
Do I just create the file 10-network.rules from the link you posted?

ESS authorisations required for Leave Requests

Hi SAP gurus,
I am trying to iron out a few authorisation issues we are having with ESS.
One issue is around Time Administrators with ECC PA61 access having the authorisations to amend their own absence records. The ESS authrisations that we have applied to them give authorisation of * to IT2001 and IT2002, which were told is required in order to user Leave Request and CATS within ESS. However, both these functions post data to ECC using a BATCH process, so the actual ECC entries don't go under the user's ID. Can anyone confirm whether because of this we can include an exlusion in the auths for employee's to amend their own records in IT2001 and IT2002, or is this still required in order to enter the original requests?

can you p_pernr authorisation to exclude them from authorisation
or usually we have a deactivate authorisation in rule group customisation for the leave request if you dont
want to give authorisation to 2001 etc

Single Edition App Requiring to Activate App

Hi
I am in DPS app builder and completed all the steps for Single Edition App. After clicking on "Create App" and "Finish" It took me to a screen where I can see my app. But there is a "Activate App" link which requires me to enter a serial number. I have Creative Cloud membership for Indesign, Photoshop and Lightroom.
How would the DPS app builder recognize me as the cc member, what steps and how do it do those ?

You have to have a full CC membership to get access to Single Edition. It is not included when you use CC to get individual products.

Requirment class in ECC and APO

Hello,
I need to know how requirment class in ECC is t/f to APO.
For instance if we create a new requirment class ZE. Do we need to create similar ZE check mode in APO.
Or
the requirment class will be CIF'd. If yes how. requiremnt class becmes check mode in APO.

But there are many ways a requirement class gets determined in SD module in ECC. One is the way you have told in T code OPPS.
but sometimes the requirment class is determined based on requirment type . requirment type is based on item category + MRP type . ( req type=item cat + MRP type ) and then requirment type is assigned to requirment class. This is how requirement class gets determined in sales order in ECC.
So what if requirment type and requirment class is not in material master and is determined thrugh item cat + MRP type ?

Adobe Sign in required to activate problem

just downloaded Photoshop Elements and installed it. message requiring sign in appears click on sign in button get error message saying either my clock is wrong or i'm not on the internet. checked both everything ok. how do I solve this?

How can I make it so I'm not required to activate addons for each website?

With the new firefox patch last week, every time I go to a website with a pdf I have to click to allow adobe acrobat unless I want to use firefox's crappy pdf reader. Same for other addons like silverlight, java, etc.
Is there any way to avoid clicking this at every site I go to for every addon I want to use? Or is it time to uninstall firefox and just use Chrome?

That's strange. Setting "Always Activate" on the Add-ons page definitely should bypass the message. While it is possible to override that on a site-by-site basis, the global setting should be sufficient.
Could you check another way:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''plugin.st''' and pause while the list is filtered
Do you see any of these (indicating "Always Activate"):

* '''plugin.state.npctrl''' set to 2 (Silverlight plugin)

Authorisation required to display Workflow Tasks in PFCG

Hi Gurus,
When using PFCG I have a strange difference between a user with SAP_ALL authorisatios and a user without SAP_ALL.
Using the SAP_ALL user, when I display a role it shows the Tasks under the Workflow tab.
Using the user without SAP_ALL, it still displays the Workflow tab but the Tasks are not displayed.
I have come to the conclusion that this must be authorisation related, so does anyone know what authorisations allow users to display the Workflow Tasks in PFCG?
All help greatly appreciated.

Upgrade to iTunes 9 = new authorisation required?

I just upgraded the iTunes on my laptop to version 9, all looked fine. Then I upgraded my iPhone to OS 3.1 and the first sync with iTunes hung so I cancelled it and then clicked SYNC again. Once I did that, I got a message from iTunes saying that my computer was not authorised for some of the applications on the iPhone and I had to authorise it or the apps would be deleted. So, I authorised them but now it shows I have used 3 authorisations when in fact I should only have 2 (home PC & laptop) ...
Anyone else seen this or got any idea how to deal with it? Don't really need the extra authorisations at the moment but may weel do in the future ... Oh, and if this should go in the iPhone area please let me know ...

Reply to my own post as this is now resolved, well, down to the correct 2 usage - not sure why it needed a second authorisation in the first place buyt there you go.
