Hi MANILEH
If iTunes is repeatedly prompting you to authorize your computer, even after it has already been authorized, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article for a similar issue helpful:

• I bought an album, but one of the songs had trouble downloading. I re-downloaded it and now I still cannot play it, I get stuck in an "Authorize device" loop.

This device has been authorized for my apple account for quite sometime, and it says so when I log in to authorize it. But after "authorizing" when I double click my song it once again asks me to "Authorize device" by login in with my apple I.d. This is very frustrating and I want what I have already paid for.

Click here and report a problem with that purchase.

• I am having trouble signing into my adobe account on my tablet it says failed to authorize device?

I am having trouble signing into my adobe account on my tablet. When I sign in it says failed to authorize device when I sign in and I have used my adobe account on this tablet in the past.

I have tried that several times as well. All that I get is a white screen that says "hello" and tells me "Update Completed Your iPhone was updated successfully. There are just a few more steps to follow, and then you're done!" so i click "continue" it asks for my iCloud password, I put it in and it goes black gives me white apple logo then takes me right back to where I started with the white "hello" screen displaying. Ive tried resetting my password multiple times and nothing is happening, I dont know what else to do.

• How DRM works? Adobe-id, authorize devices, Content Server, Adobe Digital Edition etc.

I fail to understand why there isn't a coherent end-to-end documentation of how DRM works with all the individual pieces ADE, Content-Server, adobe-id coming together in protecting/limiting copying of PDFs and binding limited number of devices. I've googled enough and went through forums but the information is scattered and missing. Could someone throw light on these sample queries -
1. Say, I've ADE installed on PC, which I'm using to authorize a device, say sony reader. Will I've to connect to internet (be online) while authorizing the device even when my ADE is already authorized? How does Adobe ensure that a document is copied to only limited 5/6 devices?
2. Do content-server, say installed at Overdrive etc., interact with Adobe for any adobe-id sharing?
3. At what instances do ADE interact (over the internet) with Adobe directly and with Content-server directly when making the drm-enabled PDF available for reading. How does the interaction look like while transferring the drm-enabled PDF to another device, say Sony reader, from ADE?
4. How is the information regarding PDF sharing tracked and managed to ensure limited sharing/copying? Is there a central server managing that?
5. What if I download the same PDF from another PC with ADE authroized with same adobe-id? Will the new PC be treated as 2nd device? If so, is that information stored and synced regularly from main Adobe authorization servers and content-servers?
Please note that I'm not interested in knowing Adobe's intellectual property but the flow and the interaction among it's various pieces.

When you deactivate a device, the used activation is not added back to the pool.
How do I increase the number of activations if I run out?
You can go to this Adobe page to increase the number of activations: http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/.

• HT201065 how can i de-authorize devices which no longer work or have been disposed of?

how to de-quthorize a device which does not work

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC.

• Aaa authorization (device doesn't always go into enable mode)

When I log into the 4500 switch with my domain account, I get priv 1 only and have to “enable” with the local enable password to get to priv 15. How do I set this up to get directly to enable? The ACS 5.1 is setup with a authorization/shell profile for Priv 15, no problems there.

• ICloud Keychain - unable to authorize devices

Hello,
I seem to be stuck with no way of authorizing my devices for iCloud Keychain. On both my Macs and iOS devices they say either:
Approve with Other Device - which is not possible as none of them seem to be authorized or
Enter Security Code - which if I enter my code it then asks for a further verification code which is being sent to me by SMS, however these never arrive.
Does anyone know how to resolve this? Clicking "Don't have access to this phone?" (I do) just leads me to contact Apple Support and none of my devices are <12mths old.

• Icannot authorize my tablet. the message is always the same "fail to authorized device"

I am not able to authorize my tablet. the message is always the same"failed to authorize device" I have an Adobe Id and a password. with the same Id and passaword it was easy to authorize the computer. How can I do?

The details will depend on which app you are using on the tablet for reading DRM ebooks.
Bluefire is free and generally pretty reliable, and works on Android and ios.
Several people have reported problems trying to get the Overdrive app to authorize.

• ACS 5.1, ASA 8.2.2, AD, Device Access. Can't get it to work...

Does anyone have any direction/pointers on how to configure ACS 5.1 to use AD to authenticate and authorize device admin access for Cisco ASA firewalls running 8.2.2? The only way I can seem to get it to work is to tell it to continue if authentication is failed (which means any user/password entered works). The events in the log are:
24408 User authentication against Active Directory failed since user has entered the wrong password
However, I know with 100% certainty that the username and password are good to go (it's the same username and password that works just fine with our old ACS 3.3 system). At this point I feel like I'm missing something really stupid, but for the life of me I can't find it (and the ACS 5.1 user guide leaves a LOT to be desired IMO). Any help is greatly appreciated. We are trying to pilot ACS 5.1 to see if we want to upgrade to it instead of ACS 4.2 but with it failing on what would seem to be such a basic use case, it's not looking promising... TIA.

I had this same issue and found out that my RADIUS keys did not match. I am migrating from ACS 4.2 to ACS version 5.4. I corrected my key on the the 5.4 installation and now access works perfectly. Hope that helps.

• ACS VMS Authorization

(Also posted in network management)
We are running the latest version of ACS, VMS and Cisco Works. The problem that we are having is that we can authenticate off of the ACS server but when we try to edit anything on the VMS it states that we do not have the appropriate permissions to edit.
I have it set up for both users and the group to have System Admin rights in the ACS under the registered services. I can see in the ACS logs that the user authenticates using TACACS+ and logs into the service but then fails to get authorization to edit the settings. There is no error or failed authorization attempt in the failed attempts log on the ACS.
If I remove permissions by checking “none” in the user setup on the ACS in the failed attempts log it generates a:
“Author failed
service=idscfg authorize-device=172.30.xxx.xxx cmd*admin_modify”
“Author failed
service=idscfg authorize-device=172.30.xxx.xxx cmd*deployment_view cmd*deployment_deploy cmd*deployment_approve cmd*deployment_generate”
The TACACS+ Administration logs show:
reyxxxxx xxx users Login 1 idscfg
If I give them System Admin rights in the ACS I get the same TACACS+ administration log entry but NO entries in the Failed Attempts log. The VMS then say that the user does not have the appropriate permissions to edit the group. Would it not have the same Failed Attempt log entry if it was failing to get authorization from ACS?
Any advice?

• How can I authorize mac after initial installation?

I installed Adobe Digital Edition but skipped the step to sign in. Then I downloaded books from the public library. When I try to copy them to my Nook, ADE says it is not authorized. So now I want to authorize my computer but can't figure out how to do that. Any ideas? Thanks!

First, return the book you have borrowed. You won't be able to do that after registering properly.
Then, get an Adobe account/ID if you don't already have one (you may have needed one to get opn this forum?)
Goto adobe.dom website and try to sign in. It will lead you through the steps to create a new account/ID.
Then, in ADE, choose menu/Help/Authorize Computer (Library/Authorize Computer on the older more reliable ADE v1.7.2)
and follow through what it asks
Then, in ADE with Nook plugged in, menu/Help/Authorize Device(Library/Authorize Device on v1.7.2)

• Can't authorize my iPhone on MacBook Pro

I am having no luck at connecting my iphone 4 with my new MacBook Pro. I think I hit a problem with having (inadvertently) set up more than one Apple ID. I have now consolidated into one account, but am still not being able to synchronise iphone with computer. I get a message saying the iphone is not authorised with this computer. I have de-authorized the computer and re-authorized it again, but still the same message .
Can anyone shed any light on how I get the iphone authorized with my computer?
Thanks
Madeleine

You don't authorize/de-authorize devices, only computers, and you can't "consolidate" iTunes accounts. I suspect your problem is you have iTunes content on your phone obtained using one account that is not the same account logged into on your computer. To fix this you need to login to iTunes using the same account used on your phone, then authorize your computer for that account, then connect your phone, then File>Transfer Purchases.

• How to transfer saved details on BB between BB and non BB devices

Hi Support. Well, how to copy phone memory details (address book contacts , messages, bookmarks, calendar, tasks, memopad, etc...) to a non BB device to 100% make accessible on both devices.<br>Regards..

can BB backup files be explored in order to manually access the desired category(ies) to select the requested details to copy&paste them on the non BB device? By the way, i tried Magicberry but file parsing is failing.
Natively, the backup file is not usable by anything but the RIM software...it's sole intended purpose is as source for restore to another BB. 3rd party apps can parse it...perhaps you need to seek other alternatives. If you search this site, I'm sure you will find more choices.

- a backup convertor should resolve that request but if conversion, as you said; wont give 100% same result ?!?!?!?!?!
I do not understand that statement...if the database you desire is included in the backup file, then the data you desire should be there...you just have to extract it with a 3rd party app that works adequately for your purposes.

• ISE identfying device

How ise can identify device? if i will use two apple device same model and forge MAC address, how ise can identify it uniquely beside MAC

Hi Kamran,
There are numerous ways to enable a BYOD solution based on the unique business requirements of a specific organization. While some organizations may take a more open approach and rely on basic authentication, other organizations will prefer more secure ways to identify, authenticate, and authorize devices. A robust network infrastructure with the capabilities to manage and enforce these policies is critical to a successful BYOD deployment.
The following components and configuration steps are discussed to support different BYOD use cases:
Digital Certificates
Microsoft Active Director authentication
Wireless Controllers (Unified and Converged Access)
Identity Services Engine
Access Layer Switches
API Integration with Mobile Device Managers
