Auto Hide with WebDynpro

Hi All,
In Windows Operating system,Taskmanager i can set properties ->General->Auto Hide.
Bottom Task Bar will be auto hided when mouse is points on Desktop, but if we move towards Taskbar we can see taskbar.
can this be acchived using WebDynpro, let's there is a view with few Buttons, i would like to Autohide this view is it possible to do this,if so what are the steps.

Hi RK,
As far as I know, in WebDynpro you don't have methods to locate the cursor/mouse position. We had a requirement in our project but this feature was not there. We had a discussion with SAP and they asked us to submit a Development Request for the same.
So I think as of now this might not be possible.
I am not sure if there is any work around for the same.
Experts please comment.

Auto/Hide with Flv playback doesn't work with javascript lightbox, need help?

Hi everyone,
i created some swf loading a flv file in a flv playback and
check on the auto/hide parameter. When i test the movie it works
very well. BUT, in my website, i put those swf files in Lightbox
(javascript computed) and when the mouse goes Over the flash video,
it shows the Skin player and when the mouse goes Out, the Skin
player stays over the video!? Why? Does someone has an idea on how
to force the auto/hide paramater in this case?

Found this post when searching for an answer, but didn't find much elsewhere so I'll post my quick and ugly solution here. I'm sure it can be vastly improved, but I didn't have much more than 5 minutes. Note - setting .visible to false just ended up causing the autohide transition to occur over and over, so instead I'm just temporarily moving the whole sprite offscreen.
(AS3, using CS5 component... note that 'player' is the FLVPlayback instance):

Full screen auto-hide feature does not work with Adobe Acrobat Reader add-on 11.0.0.379 in Firefox 17.01.

"Full screen" menu item and its keyboard short cut F11 stop working with Acrobat Reader. The Firefox top edge border does not hide once you have moved around in the Acrobat document. Therefore it is not possible to display PDF documents in a true full screen mode within Firefox. The auto-hide full screen mode works nicely with other Firefox windows, so apparently the Acrobat Reader add-on breaks the feature. Windows 7 64-bit.

From the JS API Reference of the print method:
Non-interactive printing can only be executed during batch, console, and menu
events.
Outside of batch, console, and menu events, the values of bUI and of interactive are ignored
and a print dialog box will always be presented.

Auto hide taskbar not working with iTunes 10.5 & Windows 7

Anyone else having problems with Auto-hide Taskbar not working when iTunes is open and the active window? Was working fine with previous versions including the beta of 10.5 I had. Is this a general problem or just me? Im using Windows 7 64bit for what its worth.

Chiming in with the same problem. 64-bit Win 7 Professional, taskbar set to auto-hide, newest version of iTunes (actually uninstalled and reinstalled via the website download earlier today to see if that would fix it; nope). I normally use the Alt+Tab keys to navigate between windows anyway, so it's not inconveniencing me too much, but it's still irritating when I'm trying to use the mouse to switch windows (or check the time) and realize I can't. Definitely fix this one soon. We'll all be very grateful

Will Photoshop Album Starter Edition support taskbar with "auto-hide" on?

I am using Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 on my Windows 2000 computer, and I have a problem with my taskbar not popping up. I have the "auto-hide" selection on for the taskbar, so it stays out of my way when I am working in applications. However, I have to hit the "windows" key if I want to switch from Photoshop to another app.
I looked through the support site and found the article that Album 2.0.1 fixes this bug for Windows XP. However, the problem still exists with Album 3.0 and Windows 2000. Will this bug get a fix soon?

You may already be aware of this but you can shift to another open application by pressing the Alt key and the tab key together. While Holding down the Alt Key, press the tab key. You will see a small window with the application name in it. When you press tab repeatedly, the application name will keep on changing in the window. When you let go of the keys, the application whose name is in the window will be activated.

SAP Signature Design & Task Bar Auto-Hide Feature

Hi Experts,
I'm having a problem with SAP Business One 8.8 PL18 using the new 8.8 SAP Signature Design. We are in a business with 4 professionals and 1 CRM. When we use the SAP Signature Design Skin Style and you have SBO maximized on the screen and you have Windows auto-hide the Task bar. You can't go back to the task bar with your mouse to switch applications or to just go to your start menu. The only way you can make the task bar appear is by pressing the "window key" to make the task bar display. To change applications, you can still use the "Alt Tab feature". If I put the Skin Style to Classic Mode, everything works great with no apparent display problems.
I've tried this on 3 different operating systems. Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server and the same results. The task bar won't re-pop up if you move your mouse down to it (I tried moving the task bar to the left, top or right to see if that made a difference, and it didn't). I've been using the "Window Key" for now to make the task bar pop up (display), but I think it's a bug with the skin style and not the operating system.
I've tried to get this resolved with our partner, but I don't think they understand the problem, or are just not willing to acknowledge the problem. They probably think it is a petty problem. We all like the new design and would like to use it properly while still having the task bar auto-hide.
The question actually is, do you know of this problem, is there something I can disable or do to get it to work (ie: make it run with compatibility mode to something) or do I just have to live with this problem?

Hi Ron,
Welcome you post on the forum.
I don't have the same version to test. Based on your detailed explanation, I do think it is probably a bug. Since it may not be used by many users, it could have low priority to be fixed even if it is confirmed to be a bug.

ITunes 10.5.0.142 prevents 'auto-hide' task bar reappearing on scroll-over at page bottom when ITunes home page is up. Task bar appears and hides fine on other windows. OS: Win 7.

Safari always auto-hide bars, always: also in normal screen mode (not full-screen, which is when autohide happens)

Bookmark bar is auto hidden in fullscreen mode, how to keep same functionality in normal mode out of full-screen?
In full-screen I just have the main toolbar showing, which is how I want it all the time. This or either make "full-screen" a lot better.

Hmm, i think i phrased original question badly, i am looking for auto-hide to be featured in normal window mode as well as fullscreen, and whatever else designers and programmers can dream up and not execute poorly.
I have now disabled all EXTENSIONS and removed all 3rd party bars (google, sharethis, never used nayway;) and as my suspicions confirmed Safari is running much better. I was very suspicious of this when it was added as it seemed like trying to match Firefox, which I also gave up some time ago in place of Chrome as my second browser, although I use Safari for 90%. The extensions i think causes freezing when i had Parallels running a Windows VM at the same time and also other times when not.
The extensions is a bit stupid in my opinion as any niggling, minor feature of a website should be addresses to the website rather than the browser. Where adverts are concerned, well, just use the web less or more specifically!
I think I'm fine with Toolbar/URL-search and bookmark bar, its great - simple and not intrusive. I believe EXTENSIONS introduction gave me some sort of weird mental outlook and would urge Apple to be more careful in bringing in different types of features unnecessarily.

Issuse with WebDynpro iViews - Java or ABAP

We frequently get calls from users who complain that they can't see a screen in the portal, and it is usually because they have accidentally collapsed an iView.
The problem we have found is that it doesn't seem to work with WebDynpro iViews - Java or ABAP.

You can also hide the tray display on you portal by setting the iView property "Show Tray" to "Yes".

On 1: Depends on the used client. With server-side rendering you will have some delay for the server roundtrip, smart clients are smarter.
On 2: Changing of fonts/colors has not been exposed via API to enforce consistency. Only themes as a whole should be changed. Remember that the primary purpose of Web Dynpro are business applications like ERP.
Positioning of controls restrictive? What does that mean? You cannot place controls by absolute coordinates (which is most probably not a godd idea for localizable applications) but you get a set of powerful layout managers like MatrixLayout etc.

Auto Hide Menu Bar

Is there a way to Auto Hide the menu part...the bar with airport, battery, time, etc...??? I would love to have that auto hide but I'm not sure of any way to do it. Any help and input would be awesome. Thanks!

How do you auto hide the finder menu bar

Prior to Mavericks, I could auto hide the finder menu bar by inserting:
<key>LSUIPresentationMode</key>
<integer>4</integer>
in the finder info.plist after accessing core services/finderapp/contents/resources, but now in the Mavericks OSX, I receive the following error message:
"Finder Quit Unexpectantly" and a list of various reasons; codes; etc too long to list here. Is auto hiding the finder menu bar even doable anymore in this operating system, and if so what is the solution?

How do you reverse that process? I was trying it with various apps, substituting the app name in the terminal command and it worked great until I got to the "Notes" app. I think it messed up how notes synced with iCloud.

Menu Bar on Auto Hide

I just updated my macbook pro to version 10.7.4 and my top menu bar is now on auto hide. It wasn't like this before but now it is. I don't know if this is because the update or because of something else. Please help me get it back. Thank you!

There are some third party hacks that will make this happen - you have never played with any of them?
Some troubleshooting steps - see if the behavior persists:
(1) For a different user, e.g., Guest.
(2) In Safe Mode. Starting up in Safe Mode

Auto hide video controls

have not use flash in years, so I am wondering if anybody can help me with a basic questions.
I want to make a mock-up kiosk presentation. What would be the best adobe product to use for this,
i was thinking towards in design as what i have most experience with.
basically all it needs to be is a start screen with 5 icons/thumbnails when one clicked
a video/swf plays a 15sec clip in fullscreen (i need to be able auto hide the video controls, and
for the video to play non-stop for the full 15-20 secs (not stopping or pausing if the screen is pressed)
on the end of clip to return to start screen.
so what would be best for this ?

oh sorry , it will be a standard windows (doubt it will be 8 most likly 7/vista/xp) pc will be displayed on a monitor with a touch layer underneath it.
it does not need to pull anything from the web either (video or feeds etc) all the videos and files can be stored locally on the machine or usb stick.

Auto-Hide Ribbon - Quick Access Toolbar disappears

In Outlook 2013 I select to auto-hide the ribbon but this also hides the Quick Access Toolbar. Why does it do that. When the ribbon is hidden there is still space for the quick access tool bar so why hide it? It would be really useful to be able to see the
quick access tool bar (in the available space) when the ribbon is auto-hidden. Now, if I want to use the quick access toolbar with the ribbon hidden I have to un-hide the ribbon first.
Can we see the quick access tool bar when the ribbon is hidden?

By default, Auto-hide Ribbon causes the tabs, ribbons and quick access toolbar to completely disappear, giving you the maximum amount of space to edit documents.
If you want to show the Quick Access Toolbar, we can just select Show Tabs which
shows only tabs, along with the quick access toolbar, but without their associated ribbon commands.
