Auto update of time mode? Does this ever work?

Hi,
I have just received a Nokia 6700 and previously had the Nokia 6300 and noticed on both that the Auto update of time just doesn't do anything? I am based in the UK on the Orange network. Even when I travel abroad and with this setting enabled, my phone time is not updated automatically? My current settings is with this off, zone set to GMT and daylight saving set to +1. I think these settings are protected when auto time is switched on.
Is this something that Orange needs to enable or assuming I have a data connection, does it just sync with one of the internet time servers (as PC's have done for years).

It only works if the network supports it. It's a feature that has been in many phones from many manufacturers for years, but to most people it is useless.
I'm not sure if many networks actually bother with this feature. I'm fairly certain that none of the UK networks support it but not sure about t-mobile.
There is no way to sync the time with a server on a standard phone like the 6700. For that feature you would need a smartphone and an extra bit of free software.

Auto update of time when changing time zones - PLEASE help.

I'm sorry to inform you that the blackberry does not have a feature like this yet. You can read this FAQ and it will give you some tips though.

I left "automatic updates" for Firefox UNCHECKED and left download when updates are found UNCHECKED. " Ask me wha I want to do" is CHECKED.
In English, that means don't automatically update and if updates are found ASK.

Activation issues are typically the result of a device that has been hacked or jailbroken. Is this the case?

If you switch Junk Filter back into Training mode does this reset it?

If you have been using Mail's Junk Filter and switch it back into Training mode, does this reset it, that is, do you lose all previous training? Or does the data base only get reset via the Reset button?

It should just go back into training mode from that point without affecting anything.

Call AppleCare and tell them you just want to know if your iPhone is unlocked and if not, who is it locked with. If it is locked contact the cell provider and ask them what their unlock process is and complete it if you qualify.

No. It functions when connected to the Internet.

Motion Tracking Mode - does this do the "highlighting" I'm trying to do?

I read through the Adobe tutorial/help for this feature. It sounds like this will do the "highlighting/shadowing" of a football player that I'm trying to do.
Has anyone used this feature?
I got some great instruction/suggestions regarding this yesterday (Hunt - your link was very thorough -- but with my low patience tolerance + ADD, I couldn't quite wrap my head around it at 2am!!).

That "arrow method" is one that I cover in this ARTICLE. It can be very effective, and takes far less work than the Track Matte Keying of various Effects. The latter can be very powerful, visually, but does require more work to accomplish.
Good luck, and do check out Muvipix. Lot of good articles, threads, Assets, and more, plus there are a lot of great people, who do not hang out here. Their Community is more varied, and many do not use much Adobe in their various workflows, so it's a great resource, when working outside of the Adobe programs. There are also several subscribers, who to a lot of academic athletic work, so they know some neat tricks.

Our company is running Exchange 2007, OWA enabled, EWS is setup, Auto discovery is enable. The only thing I haven't got an answer on is whether Service Pack 4 has been installed. The server is set up with a domain specified but I don't know where to include that in the Mail Account Setup. Mail seems to be locating the server fine but it says username or password can not be verified. I can only assume that it's because I haven't included the domain correctly.
iPad (and I assume iPhone/iTouch) have a field in their setup to include the domain and a coworker is connecting fine with to the company server. Where is it in Mail? I have tried to prepend it to my username (domain/username) but it hasn't worked. I can't recall all the variations I have tried of this, but unless I have the domain first in the username field, Mail won't even connect to the server. I've been all over these boards and dozens more and I can't find any answers to this problem.
Any here have any ideas? Thanks,

Bump.
I still haven't found an answer to this. Anyone else have any ideas. Still waiting to hear back from out IT guys about the service pack issues.
Is there any way to attach a screen grab to a post? Thought it might help paint the picture in case I haven't stated it clearly.

Hi. I'm having precisely the same problem. My Exchange account works like a charm on my iPhone, but all permutations of the same settings simply don't work in OS X Mail (v. 4.3).
Has anyone out there set up an Exchange account with a domain? Can you tell us where you put it to get the account to work?

Enter your username as:
<domain>\<username>
This is standard practice for Microsoft if there's no place to enter the domain name.

Thanks Asatoran. That turned out to be part of the solution for me. The other part was changing the port I used for the SSL connection -- it was set wrong at some point, either because the default was wrong, or because I forgot I had changed it in troubleshooting before trying the slash the way you suggest. Anyway, the port number for some reason doesn't show up on my iPhone settings, so it didn't occur to me to tweak it.2.0 GHz MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.4), 4GB RAM

Could you please state the port numer you changed from and to?
I´m having the same problem and still can´t access the exchange server outside the company network.
But it seems like Mail 4.3 tryes to use the internal server and never the external? Any tips on this?MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Quit your mail entirely, then in terminal do:
mv ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope* ~/Desktop
This moves all your "Envelope Index*" files to your desktop. An alternative is deleting the files, but this allows you to keep them as a temporary back-up (you can delete them at-will later). Also, you can move the files from Finder instead of Terminal, if you prefer.
After the files have been moved, re-open Mail
This should re-load all your email messages, updating/restoring the count
While this works, it does not explain the reason the count goes missing, nor does it ensure that the count won't go missing again in the future, but at least it's a temporary workaround.

Can you set an image at run time? Does it really work?

I have read that others have been able to set an image at run time, but I cannot seem to get it to work (the image I set does not load).
What I do is have a page, call it page2, that has two image components on it. In the constructor for page2 I do this:

image2.setValue("bike2.JPG");
The jpg files are in the build directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\Darrin\My Documents\Creator\Projects\ImageTest\build\images
The odd thing is that for the first image component(image1), I set a default jpg file (nogo.JPG that is in the same directory as the other two), and that does load.
In fact, when I I check the value of image1 in afterRenderResponse by calling image1.getValue() it still has the default image (nogo.JPG) instead of the one I set it to (bike1.JPG) in the constructor by calling image1.setValue("bike1.JPG");
So, either the image1.setValue() has no effect, or something is overwriting it.
What is the trick to getting an image to load at run time like this?

Well after several more hours of banging myh ead against the wall, I still cannot get this to work. 
I read in the constructor comments that whatever is in the jsp file will override the backing bean's constructor, so that might be part of the problem, but others I thought got this to work using a similar method. 
Here is what I tried last which still does not work, but mimics what others have said did work for them:

 Note that when I run this and look at the log that I write out to in afterRenderRepsponse, it shows that image1 (which shows up as the default image I set at design time) and image3 (which does not show up which I set at run time using image1's value) both show the nogo.JPG image from the resource directory while image2 (that I set at run time to be bike2.JPG) is showing up as empty
 
This is really getting frustrating, and I would greatly appreciate a small tutorial from the JSC staff on just how you need to go about doing this. given that this is so common a need, a tutorial is warranted. Heck, just clue me in on how it is done and I will write one!
