Automate download of STAD data.

Hi,
We want to capture the daily user activity in our Prod ECC5. I understand that STAD only stores a few days of data.
What I do daily is to run STAD and manually download the data into my PC. This process takes a long time and it sometimes slows the system down.
Is there a way to automate this process? If this could be automated, I can run this overnight and dump the data into a temporary directory in the server.

Open up your RSSTAT26 variant for editing
Go to Variant Attributes
For the row field where you want to use a selection variable (e.g. RDAY), go under column heading Selection variable and use the drop-down to select D (D:Dynamic date calculation)
Under Name of Variable column, use the drop-down to select "Current date"

ITunes Won't Authorize for Automatic Downloads & Account Information Viewing

Hi,
So I've been having a problem signing into iTunes for the last few days now. First off, I've isolated the problem to my MacBook Pro and verified that Mac OS X/iTunes were both up to date. I've reinstalled iTunes and restarted. I've tried re-athorizing my computer for the Store. I've tried reseting my network configuration by deleting the NetworkInterfaces.plist. I've even tried deleting the SC Info folder. Nothing has worked. At all. What is happening is that whenever I go to authorize Automatic Downloads or to view my Account in the iTunes Store, it just keeps prompting me without ever signing in. I can see the progress bar moving to signify it's attempting to connect but it always fails to do so. Oddly enough and despite not being able to update my apps, it's actually somehow updated a few of them. Could this perhaps be a case of my ISP not having the correct ports open? At this point, I really don't know what else it could be. Anyway, this is just becoming more and more frustrating by the day. Please help!

Let me guess: you changed hardware or did major system changes? Like Windows needs to be activated again after such changes, iTunes needs too. Just deauthorise the PC and authorise again, should fix the problem.

Automatic update of HU data in Outbound delivery

Hello all,
I would like to create an ABAP program to automatically update the HU data in an outbound delivery. The purpose is to have an excel spreadsheet with the HUs per delivery and download them into the outbound delivery without the need to use manual actions.
Does anybody know of a FUNCTION, BAPI, IDOC or anything else that may assist me in this task ?

Go To transaction BAPI, look at Logistics General -> Handling Unit Management -> Handling Unit
If you want to create a delivery and know the materials and HUs just populate the delivery IDoc and process it.
If you want to pack material by uploading this spreadsheet then look at LM* transactions as that is quickest way to find what you want.

How do I stop podcasts from automatically downloading?

I've tried everything including changing the settings for my entire library to just refresh the feeds, but iTunes is still automatically downloading episodes.
What is worse though, is many times its going back into certain feeds to download older, and usually years old, episodes, so that obviously clogs up memory and CPU space on my computer, with no seemingly end in site when dealing with podcasts that have episode numbers in the hundreds and for some reason the feed is downloading dozens of them from several years ago.
I don't understand that at all, in terms of why iTunes refreshing a feed would go back and download episodes going way back in the feed's history as opposed to the latest one, or the ones that showed up, since the last time the feed was refreshed, with the proper later dates, but I'd just want to stop the automatic process and just simply have all the feeds refreshed so I can pick and choose what I want to download, instead of all at once. What am I doing wrong?

Go to iTunes > Preferences > Store and Uncheck the option to Sync podcast subscriptions, settings and stations, then set up each machine as you want it.

FireFox opens & Adobe Flash Plugin crashes in a WOT "automatic" download.

WOT “automatically downloads” on a separate tab every time I start FireFox. Almost every time I start FireFox the Adobe Flash Plugin crashes in the WOT automatic download and ties up my PC. The problem does not occur with Internet-Explorer which I seldom use.
1- I removed WOT and re-installed it, but it continued the same.
2- I reinstalled the Adobe Flash Plugin which I always keep up to date.
3- Please work this out.
4- Why must WOT automatically download on a separate tab every time I start FireFox? It is very annoying.

When using Card Reader, the automatic downloader is not working in Photoshop Elements 8

I have Windows Vista and just upgraded to Photoshop Elements 8.0. The Elements program is not automatically launching when I insert a CF card in my PC. The settings I have for the camera or card reader is 1) Begin download -immediately 2) Shot date 3)Delete Options - After copying, Verify and Delete Originals. When I was using Photoshop Elements 6.0 and inserted a memory card in the PC, the elements program would automatically launch and after photos were transferred, it would ask if you wanted to delete photos from the card reader.
I tried changing the settings from the Download options from Generic Device - show APD Dialog (Standard) to the Automatic Download option but that didn't help. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the automatic downloader work and bring up the option to delete from the card reader? If not, I will have to uninstall Elements 8 and go back to Elements 6.0

First of all be sure your space bar isn't stuck. Secondly, if you have a flash window open, you may need to close it to get rid of the hand (this happens a lot when people have a tutorial open in the background).

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

Why are song purchased on my imac not automatically downloading on iphone 5?

After an update I noticed my itunes on my iphone 5 was all in disorder. The purchase playlist that has always been automatic/updated on it's own now was all messed up. Album art wasn't correct. I seemed to fix the problem by doing a backup. Now when I purchase a song via itunes on my iMac the song doesn't automatically download/sync with my iphone.
When purchsing a song it would download onto my mac then be on the playlist "Purchased". Without me having to plug in the phont to the Mac.. unsure what happened or how to fix this.

Try a reset ..
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Mail 4.5 (1084) is not automatically downloading larger attachments (i.e. a 2 MB file) without the user clicking on the SAVE button or the attachment icon (white square with down arrow).
Before download:
The problem is that if the user accidentally deletes the message before downloading the attachment, and then views that message in the trash OR moves the message from the trash back to inbox, the attachment is lost and message appears garbled up.
This is not a problem if user clicks SAVE or clicks attachment icon itself before deleting it - message and attachment will be readable in trash and when restored to inbox.
Question:
Is there a way to force Mail to download all attachment regardless of size without requiring user interaction?

Actually smaller attachments are downloaded automatically, or perhaps it depends on attachment type?
Try the same with say 2MB .PPT file .. email the file to yourself. It will come through as "click to download" icon (see image above). Trash the message (before SAVE or clicking on attachment), now try opening it in the trash or pulling it back to inbox and then open it. Attachment is gone and you get garbage - clearly extra data is there but is non-readable.
Not a big issue for a single user - potentially very big issue for an admin supporting large number of end-users, some of which are recent Outlook transplants.
Btw, I'm using IMAP server and I have enabled "Store deleted messages on the server"

Unable to set automatic download

I have an iphone 3GS and have installed iOS5. I am trying to enable Automatic downloads (Settings > Store ). When i use the slider to turn on the automatic download for the apps / music / books (any or all of them) the sliders slips back to turn the option off.
Only the slider for the option Use Cellular data lets it be set to ON. The other options are being set back to OFF.
Has anyone had this issue?

just log off from app store and log in again ... did it and now the slider works as expcted.

IOS 8 WiFi automatically downloading something in background!

My iPhone 6 is automatically downloading something in the background but I don't know what it is. I've turned off automatic downloads, deleted iCloud backup, turned off photo stream, but it seems like it's still downloading something. I can tell this because my 4G Wifi adapter shows I'm downloading something on my iPhone, and this is downloading a lot! It's downloaded over 300MB already in just a few minutes! I have limited Wifi per month and this is wasting a lot of my data!
Can someone tell me what's wrong? How can I stop this background downloading?
The problem does not happen when I connect my mac to my Wifi adapter.

Then unless it is some carrier upgrades that are only sent via 4G wifi and not just wifi, I would use a third party data track app available in the App Store to see which app is making use of it. Check this thread:

What's that message about not being able to do automatic downloads if I download purchased music from an old account?

I wanted to download music to my iPad from an old iTunes account so I logged of my current account and logged in with the old one. I went to the purchased section and hit download on a song and when I did, I received a warning that my iPad was linked to another account (my new account) and that if I downloaded the files I wouldn't be able to do automatic downloads for 90 days.
I don't quite understand what that is about.
Can anybody tell me what will actually happen if I DO download music from my old iTunes account and then switch back to my new account?
How else can I download all my old purchases without affecting my new account?
What does that warning actually mean?
I don't have a computer so that rules out uploading from a PC or Mac.

Automatic download is enabled but won't work.

I have an iPhone 4 and recently enabled Automatic Downloads. I did the same on my iPad 1, and it works perfectly, but the feature does not work on my iPhone. I'm using the most recent OS and the most recent iTunes. Any advice would be appreciated.

That doesn't mean a lot, I'm sure, but it's the root of your problems, and Flash Player has nothing to do with it.
Microsoft "rewrote" the User-Agent Strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser. User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video. Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome). Problem is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't intepret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.
The problem with an unidentified browser is that the plug-ins in that browser aren't recognized either, so even though you're up to date, it says you need the latest Flash Player when you use IE11. YouTube... has converted to HTML5 video so if it doesn't detect Flash Player, it can display HTML5 (MP4) video which requires no plug-in to play. Facebook can't do that, because HTML5 doesn't apply to games... only video.
Microsoft has no plans to "fix" the mess thay've created because they think it's a great idea to block you out of the websites you visit.
They recommend using "Compatibility View" and pretending that you're using an older verison of IE... Problem with that is that it's seen limited success, and you have to enable it for EVERY page that has problems... individually.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
Firefox (from Mozilla)
Opera (from Opera)
Safari (from Apple)
Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.
