Automatic Batch creation at purchase order create stage

Hi
Is it possible to automatically create a batch when a purchase req converts to a purchase order? 
There is a batch create button in the material tab of the purchase order so I can manually create a batch at purchase order create (purchase req convert), is it possible to automate this by material?  So a specific material when the PR converts will have the batch created automatically?
If so how?

I have double checked with the developers, and I am afraid that it is not possible to activate the automatic batch determination in ME21N.

    When you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
    Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. But If you want the Purchase orders to be created automatically, then you should automate the creation of purchase order by creating a job or using workflow. Other wise to create a PO from PR use ME57. A third-party order is usually created referencing a third-party item in a purchase requisition. You can create purchase orders in this way individually or collectively. For Configuring Automatic PO kINDLY PLEASE LOOK into this.

    Path SPRO-Material Management -Inventory Management and Physical Inventory - Good Receipts- Automatic Purchase Order Creation
    But if you want to do automatic GR receipt u have to write customised program for creation of GR ( May be check BADI - Craeation for MIGO is useful) nand run batch job for the same

    You are right that chekbox is used for third party only. And it will be used when you are using ALE when you have distributed system where your sales order is supposed to be created in different system and PO will be raised in different system.
    If you activate this field, the system automatically generates both a purchase order requisition for third-party schedule lines as well as a purchase order in the background when you save the sales order. This function has been designed for Application Link Enabling (ALE) but you can also use it when working with distributed systems.
    To avoid errors caused by incorrect system settings, we recommend that you carry out the SAPEVENT OCU_LINK\DS:TRAN.BD86 for your third-party material. If you SAPEVENT OCU_LINK\DS:TRAN.PFTS tasks 8097 (create)and 8114 (change) (by choosing "Extras -> Employee assignment -> Maintain"), you will receive workflow objects in your inbox, should any errors occur.

    Before configuration of setting for creation of Purchase Order automatically, consultant needs to under stand the business requirement and he should be aware of the difference between the different components of Material Management. Such as difference between creation of purchase order automatically in Purchasing and creation of purchase order automatically in Inventory Management. In SAP we can take this activity in both the sub components (Purchasing as well as in Inventory Management).
    By this time, I hope that you have understood that there are different settings for each of these components and we have to configure two different set of information to meet each requirement separately. Hence let me define this activity as follows:
    Create Purchase Order Automatically in Purchasing
    For creation of purchase Order automatically from Purchase Requisitions we need to do the following additional settings in addition to our standard ones.
    Activate u2018auto PO' indicator for material master
    Activate u2018auto PO' indicator for vendor master
    Create Purchase Requisitions using T Code ME51 or ME51N
    Use T. Code ME59 or ME59N for auto conversion of PR into purchase order
    Create Purchase Order Automatically in Inventory Management
    For creation of purchase Order automatically in Inventory Management we need to do the following settings which are independent of the setting what we do in Purchasing for creation of automatic PO from PR.
    Define one of the purchase organizations as Standard Purchase Organization
    Assign your plant to Standard Purchase Organization
    Maintain purchasing information record with price
    Maintain the indicator for movement types 101 & 161
    Define Default Values (MB01) for Document Type
    Now you can enter a goods receipt without entering the purchase order number, a purchase order will be created automatically when you post the goods receipt. All such goods receipt will be valuated at the price maintained in the purchasing information record.
    First you can try this with T. Code MB01 if it is working then try with T. Code MIGO, if you face any error or functionality is not working check with your basis consultant some authorization or some patches may be missing. Ask him to apply all relevant patches.
    Try using automatic PO for 161 movement for transaction MB01. For MIGO Goods return, its not allowed to create automatic PO due to system settings. This info as I know.

  • Purchase order created by "Procurement Document" is not printed automatical

    Hi all experts,
    After and upgrade to 8.81 (from 2005A)  some funcionality was lost.
    In Print Preferences it is set that the document Purchase Order shall be printed automatically when adding document.
    This works if you add the document directly in Purchase module.
    But, if you add the document via a Sales Order
    - on the Logistics tab, mark the field Procurement Document to create the PO -
    the Purchase order is not printed.
    Has anyone seen any changes regarding this functionality or is it a bug?

    Just F Y I - this is an error in this version that is a candidate for future versions:
    "After detailed investigation of the Business Impact and the Product Strategy we came to the decision that the correction of the system behaviour is not feasible in the currently supported versions of SAP Business One. Theerror has been recorded and is a candidate to be fixed in a future version.
    Please see note 968358 and note 1644710 for further information.
    Like a workaround please use the document printing option to print all the purchase order created using the procurement wizard."

    Dear Consultants,
    system is not creating automatic  purchase order. in me59n i am getting the following error
    Requisition could not be converted
    i have done the following setting for automatic creation of purchase order
    1. in materil master record i have checked auto po.
    2. in vendor master record i have checked automatic purchase order
    3. i have created purchase info record with the combination of material vendor purchase organization.
    4. in source list i have fixed the vendor in me01
    5. in source determination under define regular vendor i have checked the box against the required plant.
    kindly let me know what all other configurations are required for creating automatic purchase order through purchase requisition

    Is this purchase requisition created during MRP run??
    If yes then have you marked the sourcelist record for this vendor as MRP relevant??
    If the purchase requisition is generated manually then whether the source of supply was assigned in the PR??
    In ME59N, the PR would be converted to PO if the PR has the assigned source of supply.

    I have a requirement to setup & activate Batch Management only for Production order Good Receipt . I am looking out for what all configuration / data setup will be required to complete this .
    To start with I have following questions .
    1. Whether such activation is possible only for Production order Good receipt - 101 mov.type
    2. IF yes , is Batch management activation status be at material or plant level .
    3. As I need automatic assignment , should I be selecting Internal batch management .
    4. What should be selected for valuation for Goods movement in Inventory management.
    5. Is it necessary to have batch determination by maintaining Condition tables / Access sequence
    6. What would be standard Class / characteristics to be maintained for automatic determination.
    Also I will have to work with the running system where Material are already active and have stock in system . What precautions will I have take if I have to activate the Batch Management in a running system.

    With reference to your point , need further clarifications
    1. If batch management is selected to material , this means that it will be active for all movement types for Inventory and cannot be restricted to 101 mov.type .
    I see that in config node

    Can I not restrict batch creation only for 101 movement , but again here I don't have options to select only for Good receipt for order - Tran/Ev type - WF .

    Hi,
    The concept of Transfer Order comes if the business have warehouse management system.
    Once the delivery is created, we need to do picking.
    This can be done in two ways
    1. Manual Picking
    This is done when there is no warehouse management. means in the delivery picking tab, you have a field as Pick Qty. The you have to give the quantity (either less than or equal to delivery qty field), then you can save the delivery. This is called manual picking
    2. Automatic Picking
    This is done when there is warehouse management is available. Then in the delivery picking tab, pick qty is grayed out. That means you cant enter the pick qty manually. For this you have to create a transfer order.
    For this you have two options
    1. With in the delivery:
    In the delivery it self before saving the delivery, you can click on "subsequent functions" drop down list on the standard menu bar, in that you have option "Create Transfer Order" click on that
    Then it will ask whether you want continue to next, say ok, then it will take you to Tranfer Order Creation Screen, Click on Generate TO item, and save it. Now the delivery is created and the Picking is done for that delivery.
    2. Using Transaction Code
    You can also do the same using transaction code. For this first you have to save the delivery.
    Goto T. Code LT03, Then it will ask for
    Warehouse Number (mandatory field)
    Plant (optional no need to mention)
    Delivery Number (mandatory field) and press enter
    Then it will take you to Transfer order creating screen, which will be nothing but above mentioned screen. Continue with same process and save it.
    Now picking is done for your delivery.
    It cant be possible to create a Transfer Order automatically once after delivery is saved.

    We are using batch management with functionality of automatic batch creation for variuos movement type 101/103/105/561 etc. with updation of classification in foreground. 
    We are even using automatic batch creation for Inbound delivery. By configuring IMG object "Batch creation Control for Inbound"
    Now we have a new requirement of automatic Batch creation for GR of Customer Return against Customer Return SO (Movement type 651). And updation of classification in foreground.
    I have tried a lot but couldn't find how to configure the same.
    Can I create GR custmor returns 651 thru transaction MIGO?
    Any suggestion how to achieve this.

    Hi,
    What Sairam said is correct, the idea of automatic batch creation is so that when you manaufacture or create an item you can allocate the characteristics to that batch and give it a number.
    You then sell that batch to a customer.
    When the customer returns the item the system should NOT automatically allocate a new batch number to it because this is breaking a VERY important audit trail.
    In batch management (in some inductries more than  others) it is VITAL to have a full audit trail of a bathc so that any problems concerning that batch can be traced back to their origin. What you are trying to do is to break that audit trail (although I can fully understand what you are trying to do).
    I would leave the batch allocation for returns as manual and then when you transafer the item from returns to unrestricted (or quality etc.) tyou can then input the new characteristics.

  • Automatic Batch Determination   in Production order

    Dear All,
    We are using automatic batch determination is based on FIFO (first Mfg first out) for components..After releasing the order.
    I have maintained Batch Class in all the materials which are used as a all material special Characteristic LOBM_HSDAT as a one of the class characteristic. as we want batch determination  on GR date for few material and for few material LOBM_VFDAT for self life material and its class.
    Then create Sort Rule CU70 mainatained the same LOBM_HSDAT in it. and one with LOBM_VFDAT.
    Then create Batch serch Strategy (USE T.Code COB1- search strategy CO01the respective sort rule and selection critoria.for All ROH HALB and Finish material.
    In Material Master of all component in MRP 2 view select value 3 (Automatic Batch Determination) for BATCH ENTRY. All ROH HALB and Finish material
    After mainting above all prerequisite I should able to do the Automatic Batch Determination as per my selection Rule.
    But Automatic Batch Determination  in Production order after release is not working.
    Please need your help.

    Dear,
    Define the batch determination search strategy for process order in COB1 with sort rule in CU70.
    On the initial screen of your application choose Logistics>centrel function>batch management>Batch determination>For process order -->Batch search strategy --> Create.
    On the initial screen of your application choose Batch search strategy -->Create.
    Choose the strategy type, say choose co02
    Choose the key combination-
    Enter the required dat-->say plant ,production order type, product,valid from and component for which you want to have this
    Choose Selection criteria push button. Choose a sort sequence.
    If no values have been entered, enter the selection class and the characteristic values.
    Go back to the screen on which you create a batch search strategy.
    Choose Sort if required(it should be defined earlier(in CU70- here you are giving the charateristic name on which you want to sort)
    For component you need to use MBC1 with search stratgey as ME01 for your plant movement type and material and assign the sort rule and search procedure here.
    Check also in COR4, for the combination of plant and order type...you have selected search procedure-CO0001
    Batch management> Batch serach procedure allocation and check activation
    T.Code to be looked specifically OMCG , CORC

  • Capture DocEntry of purchase order created by Proc. Confirmation Wizard

    in SAP B1 2007 I developed a UI DI API addon to read the docentry of all purchase orders created by Procurement Confirmation Wizard.
    I used the et_FORM_DATA_ADD  event created by the wizard when I confirmed the creation of the purchase order.
    In this event, the BusinessObjectInfo.ObjectKey string contained the DocEntry of the new purchase order.
    But now, with SAP 8.81 PL 06, this event is not raised anymore.
    So... now... how can I know the DocEntry  (not DocNum) of the new purchase orders created by Procurement Confirmation Wizard?
    Can someone help me, please?

    I'd like to have a javascript image gallery with controls that look like that: < 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 > All images preload, and clicking on the numbers display the corresponding image, without reloading the page. I have had no problem making the numbers
