Automatic Replenishment for Fixed Bins

Hi,
We have successfully implemented Automatic Replenishment for our Fixed Bins when Picking Transfer Order is Confirmed. We have used the scenario where full stock removal (a palletized quantity) is removed from the source bin and only the Replenishment quantity is placed in the destination bin with the difference quantity placed into a Return bin in a consolidation storage type. This is accomplished in a single Transfer Order. We use RF Scanning to confirm the Fixed Bin Replenishment.
Our problem now is the following:
There is no positive instruction that the full quantity must be removed from the Source bin and the remainder quantity placed into the Return bin.
Question:
Can the Replenishment Transfer Order be split automatically into two. One to Replenish the Fixed Bin and the other to move the remainder to the Return bin.
Our SAP system is: SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.7
Thanks and regards,
Mike

Hi,
Thank you for your prompt reply. Through all my investigation you have confirmed the conclusion that I suspected. Thank you.
Is there possibly a different solution? Is there a User Exit or Function Module that can be called/used to create another TO while creating the automatic replenishment TO? We could then use this separately to move the stock to the consolidation area.
Thanks,
Mike

  • Replenishment for fixed bins in WM

    Hello Experts,
I have a need to create auto TOs for replenishing fixed bins.If I am correct for auto TOs,i dont need to run LP21.
I have defined a custom WM movement type for 319.In the custom movement type I have defined source storage type and destination storagetype and selected Auto TO in background.
I have defined replenishment control for storage type-- entered the movement type and selected  repleishment method '1'.
Can some one suggest me if i am missing some thing?
Do i need to define the search sequense as putaway to be directed to fixed bin storage type from other storage types?
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
Yes, you are correct, you need to define search sequence for the storage types and for the replenishment storage types as well.
    Hope it is clear.

  • WM : Automatic replenishment TO for fixed bin from warious storage types

    Hi Gurus,
We have storage type 011 - fixed Bin storage type , 022  - self Storage and 055 - High Rack Storage. Also we have set up for automatic TO creation for fixed bin in fixed bin storage type when stock falls below minimum fixed bin quantity.
My problem is : system only creates TO when there is some stock in 055 - High Rack Storage. If there is no stock in 055 system doesn't create any TO. But there's lots of stock in 011( other than fixed bin) and 022.
we want system to serch for 055/ 022/ 011 sequence. So if there is no stock in 055, it should go for 022 and then 011.
Can anyone advise me on this? I will be really grateful.

  • Replenishment of fixed bins for batch managed materials.

WM - Replenishment of Fixed Bins.  Batch selection and full pallet selection
My issue is as follows:  I am performing the replenishment of fixed bin based on SD deliveries.  Stock is batch managed and batch selection is based on the shortest expiry date.  If there is both a partial and full pallet of a particular batch of a material in the source warehouse, the full pallet will always be proposed in the TO, before the partial pallet.  Is there a way of forcing the selection of a partial pallet before the full pallet?

Removal of material based on quantities could be driven by using picking strategy 'M'. This is closest option that I could think of that matches your requirement. If this does not meet your requirements then you may have use a custom picking strategy via exit MWMTO004.

  • Replenishment for random bins

    hello all,
I would like to verify the steps below that i am planning to use for random bin management in a storage type.
    1. I am planning to use mvmt. type 319 and assign it to particular storage type in configuration,
    2. I am using only the Minimum and replenishment quantity for the particular storage type without specifying any fixed bins in the material master.
    3. planning to use t- code LP24 to carry out random bin replenishment.
    4. also, i would like to what is the difference between "Transfer orders immediate for fixed bins and Transfer orders Immediate for random bins" in configuration under replenishment method for storage type.
pl. let me know if all these steps are correct and if i want to carry out any more additional steps.
    Thanks,
    Maxx

The differnece in configuration is that in field V_T331M-REPLT you set "1" (immediate TO, fixed bin) or "2" (immediate TO, random).
    In case of fixed bin:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/fd/90fbf4b3cd11d3b2ad0050045571f7/frameset.htm
    1. Immediate TO Creation for Fixed Bins
With this replenishment strategy, the system checks the stock situation in the bin during transfer order confirmation. It uses the quant data and the material master data from the storage type view. A replenishment transfer order determines the fixed storage bin of the material in this storage type as the destination storage bin.
In case of random bin replenishment:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/fd/90fbf4b3cd11d3b2ad0050045571f7/frameset.htm
    2. Immediate TO Creation Random Bin Management
With this replenishment strategy, the system checks the stock situation of the material in the entire storage type during transfer order confirmation. All the quant data of the material in this storage type and the material master data from the storage type view are used by the system. If the entire stock in this storage type falls below the minimum quantity after transfer confirmation, the system creates a replenishment transfer order. The destination storage bin is determined through the putaway strategy for this storage type. Maintenance of a fixed storage bin is therefore not required in the storage type view of the material master.
So, as you can see, the differences are:
    - stock situation --> system checks only the (destination) fixed bin (fixed bin) / system checks the (destination) storage type (random)
    - destination bin --> fixed bin (fixed bin) / determined based on the putaway strategy of the storage type (random)

  • Putaway Strategy for replenishment of fixed bins - SU destination bin

My client is using ECC 6.0 Retail and using WM.
After creating the TR for the replenishment of the fixed bins according to the bin situtation using LP21, we create TOs using LB11 for article. At the TO creation, the system creates a new Quant and automatically proposes the SU#  from the source bin to the destination bin. We allow addition to stock but not mixed SUs. However you can manually overwrite and input the current SU destination bin but this is very time consuming. Is there a way to have this process done automatically?
    Thanks Gaetan

    Hi Gaetan,
It seems this topic is extremly important recently...e.g.:
    Addition to storage unit
I'm not aware of anything in standard SAP that would help you to realize your scenario. (if it is very important maybe it should be indicated to SAP AG. However, in a WH where SU management is active the material flow is realized trough SUs > if warehouse workers add the stock physically from one SU to other SU it means additional work for them physically and therefore in SAP too).

  • SUT issue while replenishment of fix bin..

    Hello,
I have two storage type 035 overstock with SUT IP and fix bin storage type 005 with SUT allowed as F1 only. While replenishment, from over stock 035 to 005 fix bin  with transaction code LP21 TR gets created.  I am getting SUT related issue while converting TR to TO as SUT IP from 035 is not allowed for storage type 005 which has allowed SUT as F1. I can resolve this error by manual input as F1 SUT while creating TO. But for may of such TRs it is time consuming task. Is there any way by which we can convert the TR to TO without manual input of SUT as F1? Please note that, I don't want to allow SUT of 035 to fix bin in SUT configuration.
    Thanks,
    Milind

    Hello Jürgen,
    Thanks!
I am closing this forum with summering the resolution as below.
    (1) The only way to achieve this in standard way is, to allow both SUT IP and F1 for storage type 005 in customization. . If there is business constrain of not to allow SUT IP for storage type IP then, either we need to manually change SUT or look for development.
I am proposing below simple development in point (2)
    (2) Main principle of development is to use TO creation functional module and add default value of SUT F1.  We can use this in RF customized transaction.
    Thanks again Manish and Jürgen,

  • Open Transfer Requirements - Fixed Bin replenishment

We have a situation where TR's remiained open for lack of stock in source Storage types. When these Tr's are closed as completed, they re-appear due to min/max. It is being cumbersome to check each TR if this was due to LP21 or a genuine TR. could some one advise how to get around this issue. Mov type 319 is configured to ctrate TO from TR autommatically.
    appreciate any help on this.
    thanks

    What is a "genuine" TR?
    One idea:
When listing TRs in LB10 you can see the movement type. For fix bin replenishment you can define which movement type should be used by system. Based on this you can distinguish between replenishment related TRs and other TRs.

  • WM Replenishment for storage type

    Hi there,
I implemented the replenishment solution for a fixed bin and is working well.
But our bussiness needs to use the replenishment for several bins located on one storage type. In other words, we need a replenishmente not for a fixed bin.
I tried to find out the way but all the doucumentation that I got is useing the replenishment solution only for fixed bin.
Somebody could let me know if there is a solution for that or SAP can not manage it in other way?.
    Best regards.

You can try with Random Bin Management in the repleneishment process. We have implemented this solution. It worked fine with us.

    Hello all
can any one help me in knowing how does system searches storage bin
when I create TO systen finds Storage bin automaticaly . How does excately system reaches to find this Storage bin.
Like in case or Pricing procedure
    once system find Pricising procedure
it goes to condition type , this condition type have access Sequence and in turn Assess have condition table and in this condition table we have condition record
if system finds and condition recod it gives that valu to that condition type
and the process is repeted for otehr condition type
in the same way i will like to know how system finds storage bin while creating TO.
Thanks for ur help in advance

    For Fixed bin strategy:
You have to maintain the Fixed bin information in your material master. Stock placement and stock removal strategies must be updated in the material master. It means, the system always look this bin for putaway and picking process.
The following config must be in place:
SPRO > LE > WM > Strategies > Putaway strategies > Define strategy for Fixed bins.
If it is dynamic bin search: (Finding the next bin, if the first bin is not available) the prober search strategy must be defined here.
    SPRO>LE>WM>Strategies>Putaway Strategies
    SPRO>LE>WM>Strategies>Placement Strategies
Follwing SAP link may be helpful to you.

I think, you are missing "A" indicator at the movement type level and at the storage type level. Please check.

  • Sap wms fixed bin replenishment

    hi experts,
i am creating fixed bin replenishment the max bin qty  40,  min  10 and replenishment qty 50
and i try to create LP21   fil the fields the whno storage type and bin and executed but the replenishment is not happened  . the automatic TR also not triggering so plz tell me where is the setting we need

    Hi,
    As you have mentioned :
    Replenishment qty to 10
and the max bin qty is 40
    min bin qty is 10
    available stock is 40
System will still not generate any TR since your available qty is not less than min bin qty.
Reduce your available bin qty less than 10 then only it will generate TR.
Or keep min qty as 100 , Max qty as 1000 and replenishment qty as 100 and then check.
Please read the Program documentation for LP21 ( Blue icon on lp21 input screen) for calculation .
    Minimum stock     =   10
    Maximum stock     =  100
    Replenishment qty =   40
    Storage bin stock =    5
Since the storage bin stock has fallen below the minimum stock level defined in the material master, the system calculates a quantity to be supplied to this storage bin.  The system attempts to increase the total quantity in the bin (5) by multiplying the replenishment quantity (40) as many times as possible to match the maximum quantity defined for the bin (100) without exceeding it.  For the supply quantity, the system calculates 80 pieces (5 + 2 x 40 = 85 < 100).

  • One t.o. fixed bin replenishment

    Hello, and good day
I have a question about replenishing fixed bins. We currenty use two step with TR-TO mirror TR-TO creation automated via batch job and it's working fine. The issue is that the replenishments are slowed to much waiting for the second t.o. that brings the stock to the fixed picking bin.
My question: is one step replenishment a standard SAP function and please guide me on the steps to implement if so.
Or provide me with any links or documentation on the process please, So far I have only been able to find info on the two step process, I have only seen some posts mentioning movement 320 for this but it wasn't clear to me if there where specificaly refering to a one step replenishment.
When I say one step I mean to say only one transfer order - source = genaral storage - destination = fixed bin
user in genaral storage can view the t.o. for source bin and do the physical move then another user access the same t.o. and confirm when the stock is placed into the fixed bin, so in practice it's still a two step but in the system user only needs one t.o.

    Hi
Reason for error message "LP301- no material relevant for stock replenishment found" is because the below statement fails to find the record from table MLGT on the set criteria, Looks like there is  a mismatch in the LP21 selection entry screen (Plant, warehouse , fixed bin storage type, requirement number, requirement type) and master data which you defined. check the entry on the selection screen
or the another way to check is goto SE11 enter table MLGT
on the selection screen pass the warehouse number, Pickface storage type(005) and execute, check whether system is giving you any result or not
Make sure the material is extended for pick face storage type
fixed bin is defined in the material master WM2 view, the bin should be from pickface storage type 005

  • How to replenish warehouse pick bins for production orders

    Hi All,
Currently in WM we use LP22 to replenish the pick bins, here LP22 considers all the outbound deliveries for creating the replenishment TRu2019s
In the similar fashion how can I use LP22 to consider Production orders (raw materials and their quantities) for replenishing the pick bins? My aim is to replenish the pick bins not just for the outbound deliveries but also for the production orders
Please suggest if this can be accomplished using LP22 by running in different ways or there is different transaction.
FYI: the materials that are ordered in the outbound and production order are same
    Please suggest
    Thank you

Instead of opening multiple threads in different forums, it would be better if you reply back to the suggestion provided as to whether it helped or if you need any further help.
