Automatically create playlist name from name of folder containing mp3s?

Hi, if I have a lot of folders with mp3s organized and distributed among them in a way I would like reproduced in iTunes, is it possible to create a playlist which is named after the name of the folder containing the mp3s I would like on the playlist?
For example, say I downloaded a folder named "XYZ" containing a variety of mp3s. Can I then create a new playlist in iTunes and then drag the folder in some manner to iTunes so that the name of the new playlist switches from "untitled" to "XYZ"?
Thanks

Just drag the folder to the word Playlists in iTunes.
It will create a new playlist named same as the folder and add the files to iTunes and the playlist.

  • Automatically create playlists when buying song collections

I remember that in previous versions there was a setting under Preferences/Store to the effect that when you bought an imix or another collections it would automatically create a playlist. Since this setting no longer appears in the prefs as of version 8, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a plist variable I could alter or add to re-enable this functionality.

Turning off the option - I doubt - will change the 'Purchases' list. I have it 'off' in my prefs and I still have all iTS purchases added to the 'Purchases' list.
From the iTunes Help menu and a search for "song collection": <You can set iTunes to automatically create playlists when you buy collections from the iTunes Store, such as iMixes, submitted by iTunes users; and iTunes Essentials, favorites chosen by an iTunes Store staff of experts.>

  • How to automatically create fillable PDFs from XML

We are looking for a way to create fillable PDFs that users can enter data into and save (so the PDF needs Reader Rights applied) and we want to be able to automatically create these PDFs from XML files. We are able to do what we want in a manual fashion using Acrobat Pro v8 but we need a way to automate this due to the volume of XML files that we will need to convert.
Is there any way that this can be scripted from a command line interface with Acrobat.. like:
    Acrobat.exe –input FileName.xml –output FileName.pdf –applyReaderRights true
If there is no command line options for this is there any way that this could be coded using .NET or any other programming language?

You cannot automate applying usage rights with Acrobat. For that you'd need to use Adobe's LiveCycle Reader Extensions.
How exactly are you currently converting XML into fillable forms? Are you using an XDP to somehow convert to an XFA-based PDF?

  • Cannot create a region from a task flow containing facelets fragments in a

    hi
Please consider ADF applications migrated from JDeveloper 11g R1 to 11g R2 [1].
When using JDeveloper 11g R2 to create a task-flow containing facelets fragments and dropping it on an existing/migrated page (created using JDeveloper 11g R1) results in a message :
"Cannot create a region from a task flow containing facelets fragments in a jspx page.".
What would be "good guidelines" (do's and don't's) of using facelets aspects in an ADF application migrated from JDeveloper 11g R1 to 11g R2?
    - [1] e.g. specifically JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 to JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0, see also forum thread "migration support from 11.1.1.6.0 to 11.1.2.4.0"

A team could have resources available now, and maybe not in a couple of months (related to wanting/needing to use facelets, and related to the "perceived/expected complexity" of an 11g R1 to 12c migration compared to an 11g R2 to 12c migration).

  • Is it possible to automatically create file names?

If i do a set of measurements and i want to save each measurement in own file is it possible to automatically create filenames? For example XXX1.vi XXX2.vi ... XXXn.vi

Is the n in XXXn a counter or a test number? See my attached example Create Report File from Serial Number. It creates a report file name starting with the serial number of the UUT and then appending a counter. You don't have to save the counter: the program looks for the next available filename on disk.
Your question shows file names ending in .vi. You may not have intended it, but don't use .vi for data files: save that extension for real VIs. If each measurement has its own VI and you want to name the datafile based on the name of the calling VI, see my attached example Create Report File from Calling VI. It gets the name of the calling VI and creates a .txt file with the same name as the caller (with the new extension .txt).

  • Automatically create playlists from all albums

Is there a way to do this so that I can use list view and play one album at a time? I've looked on the list and searched on the web.
I know you can make album play lists easily, but only one at a time, by hand. I mean to simply get all them in one move.
I know that the grid view gives you the equivalent, but the grid view consumes so much memory that it turns the computer into an expensive CD player. The cost of looking at all those little pictures runs to about 200 megs of memory for me, and that creates a difficulty for me. (Strange as it seems, I work on this machine, too.)
In list view, iTunes does a great job, keeping memory use within 50 megs -- no problems there.
When I moved my music from one file server to another, I lost my playlists. I had the xml file that other programs can use, but not apparently not iTunes to re-create playlists. Now I face the trouble of rebuilding them hand. It would be trivial to rewrite that xml file to change all the file paths, but I did not see a way importing the entire collection of playlists.
It would seem to me that internally the iTunes database maintains an album by album list of songs (to show you in the grid view). One more step would loop through these and create playlists that show up in list view, eh?
My favorite music player is Linux-only -- Rhythmbox -- which just gives automatically artist and album playlists, and keeps within 60 megs of memory. I tried the new Mozilla offering, Songbird, which is only in beta and has its own rough spots, but it, too, automatically gives you artist and album playlists. I don't know about the Windows players.
    tia,
    Barry

Why don't you use the Browser, you can filter your list view right down to a single album using it. Go to View>Show Browser to make it visible. Alternatively press the Command (⌘) and B keys together.

  • Automatically create users (SU01) from organization (0105)

In our organization, we will have the user id populated in the 0105 record.  How do I have the system automatically create the user record (SU01) from the 0105 record?  I have looked at the HRUSER transaction, but I don't understand how to run that.  Wondering if: a) other companies have done what we are trying to do, and if so, did they use HRUSER, and b) if HRUSER was used, do you have a clear step-by-step on how you use it?
    Thanks in advance!

    1) I have a client that create a subscreen for infotype 0105.
This has a button to automatic create the user.
    2) HRUSer:
     If you have employees who do not have SAP users, first create SAP users for them and then authorize them to use SAP ESS.
     In the Set Up and Maintain ESS Users (Overview) screen, choose:
    u2022     Employees without users.
If you choose Background, the Attributes of Users to be Created screen appears.
If you choose Overview, the Create Users for Persons screen appears.
u2022     Select a person and choose Create User. The Attributes of Users to be Created screen appears. Choose Execute.
     You must decide how you would like your employees to log on to SAP ESS.
     The user group ESSUSER is a fixed user attribute. It is used to distinguish between SAP ESS users and other system users, such as administrators.
     You can change user attributes in the Set up and Maintain ESS User (Start) screen. In the Attributes of Users, you can modify the Password field. The default is INIT. In the User Group field, the entry ESSUSER is fixed. You cannot change this because it is important to differentiate users authorized for SAP ESS from other users. In the Role field, the SAP role (which you have copied into your namespace) is the default.
     SAP delivers a user exit, which you can use to determine your own password routine and user name. SAP delivers user exit Exit_saplehus_001 as part of the HRESSW4 enhancement. This user exit enables you to change the name and password that the user installation tool creates for each SAP ESS user that is generated.
     Existing users keep their attributes, such as user group, password, date and decimal format and start menu. The existing setting are not overwritten.

  • Adding tracks automatically creates playlists

    Help!
I have 47,000 tracks to add to iTunes and when I begin the process, it immediately creates a playlist for each album.  I stop the import immediately and delete the 20 or so playlists that have been created, go back to File > Add to Library, select my folder, click Open and it does the same thing - it adds all of the tracks to my iTunes Music Library AND creates playlists for every collection of tracks it thinks is related!!!!!  You can imagine how out-of-control this would be if I were to import my entire library!!
I've looked through preferences for some "create a playlist for every album I import" or something along those lines but I don't see anything.  I'm running Mac OX 10.6 and iTunes 10.4.
Please let me know what I can do to prevent this from happening!  I want control over my own, personal playlists, which I created, then exported to file, then emptied out my entire Music Library to start over again fresh.  BUT this time, the fresh start is going to cause thousands of playlists to be created on their own.
    Can anybody help me?

You got the correct answer!  I meant to click "Correct" answer to give you the points but I clicked "Helpful" instead because I'm new to the interface and I'm really tired.
That's what it was.  I found the m3u files and moved them to my Playlist folder, then loaded up my library and ba-da-bing!  My music is back.  Thank you!
How can I give you the full "Correct Answer" points?  Moderator??

  • Automatically create a PO from a catalog buy in the classic SRM scenario

    All,
We are on SRM SAPK-70207INSRMSRV classic scenario and R3 EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0
When a shopping cart is created and approved from the MDM catalogue we get an automatic purchase requisition. currently the purchasers manually create the purchase order from that purchase requisition but we want to have an automatic purchase order for every all catalogue buy.
is this possible in the classic scenario ?
Can we also assign specific purchasers to these automatically created purchase orders, based on, for instance, the purchasing group as we use vendor invoice management so these purchasers will receive invoices with a price differences.
    Thanks as ever.

Depending on product responsability and organizational responsability, purchasing group is automatically determined for each SC item.
For those purchasing groups, users are assigned inside the PPOSA_BBP transaction.
So, i do not understand your request.

  • How do you automatically create a page from an entry in another list?

I have a custom list with lots of entries and I would like to set it up so that by adding a new entry to my list a new site page is automatically created for that entry. I thought I could configure this by using lookup columns by adding these colums to the
site pages list which are linked to the columns in my custom list. That way the site pages list will be populated as I add more entries to my custom list. However I tried this and none of my entries from my custom list were displayed. So how would I go about
doing this? It would be great if a new page was automatically created from a template as well.

  • How do you automatically create paragraph styles from a document?

    Hi,
(posted in general indesign as well - advised to post over here)
I know I've seen this somewhere but can't for the life of me find it...
How can I automatically create paragraph and character styles in an InDesign CC document? I'm sure I saw a script to do this and though I'll download that later...only i can't find it now.
The scenario is that I have a document created by someone else which has lots of paragraph styles, but each one has over-rides on (so they're not really much use). I'm wanting something that will go through the document and create all the different styles that have been used.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi
I was given this tip to try: PerfectPrepText (http://indesignsecrets.com/perfectpreptext-a-smart-way-to-style-local-formatting.php) but couldn't get it to do what i was after unfortunately...however it did point me in the direction of something that does the trick:
PowerStyles (DTP Tools - Power Styles for Adobe InDesign).
Not sure if it's available for CC yet though.

  • Automatically create vendor batches from DESADV

    Hello gurus,
we receive DESADV Idocs that automatically create inbound deliveries in our SAP system.
When the vendor sends a batch number, it is correctly transmitted into field u201Cvendor batchu201D (LIPS-LICHN). Field u201Cbatchu201D (LIPS-CHARG) is empty.
Now we would like to use the vendoru2019s batches in our system.
Example: We do not have any stock or batch information of a certain material. Now we order 10 pieces of that material and the vendor sends a DESADV containing batch information for the goods to be delivered (vendor batch number is 1234).
Now, we would like to have the system create a batch automatically and post the material to that batch on GR. The number of the batch may be automatically created, but the vendor batch number (1234) must be visible in the batch master record.
Is there a standard way to do this (in plain MM, without LE)?
    Cheers
    Alicia

    Hello Alica Moore,
The batch management is controlling the inventory at your location level only ( like plant /  co. co / material ). The batch which is sending by your vendor  /  customer, that can be used if the manual batch is using. If the system is using automatic batch management , than the sytem auto batch only updated in your inventory system and the batch is given by your vendor would be optional entry.
I think this can be achived with making your system as manual batch entry which would be used as vendor batch number in your system.
