Availability Status seems not to be functioning

When I set the Availability Status to "Restricted Access" and use an account that is in the "Restrict to..." list, the application cannot be run.
Logging on with an account that is marked in APEX as a developer account does not allow the execution of an application set to "Available to Developers Only".
In both these cases the application cannot be run.
I'm likely not understanding all the implications of these Availability Status settings.
How might I be confused here?

Thanks for the test case. You've found one of the least used nooks and crannies of the product.The main problem is that the app uses database authentication. In this mode, all users are the public user so neither the Developers Only nor the Restricted Access tests will succeed, even if you run a page from the Builder run links.
The other problem is that even with named-user authentication hooked up (which I did in your test app), if anyone accesses a public page before they login, they are known as "nobody". However if they access a non-public page, they can login and all should be well, even if they then visit a public page. (The login page has a special status and does not have this problem.)
So you need to put nobody in your restricted list to make the Restricted Access feature work for the public pages. However the Developers Only feature won't work unless developers login first.

we have the following Basic problem or question regarding ITS-based ABAP Services provided via browser to internal and external customers:
The user call the ITS via URL "https://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/it13?sap-client=03&sap-language=en" his browser.
To access the Service a simple login Dialog appears for entering the credentials (UserID + Password).
The problem with this simple Dialog is that after resetting the users password this initial password status seems not to be checked here.
That means, that the user is able to login with this initial password and he is not forced to change the password.
In difference to this the intended behavior is provided for example when the SAP Standard ITS Service "webgui" is launched by the user:
The user launches der Service via URL "https://<host>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=03&sap-language=en"
In this case an additional first SAP WebAS login dialog appears where the users has to click on a Login-Button. This login button opens
another login dialog as a popup where the user is able to enter his credentials. But if the password has an initial status the user is
forced afterwards to change his password.
So the login behavior of the webgui Service is what we also want for the any other ITS Service. We've already compared the service properties and
settings (SICF), but we could not find any difference.
What can we do to change the login behavior for the ITS services ?

In SICF - Tab: Error Pages -> Logon Errors
is 'SYSTEM Logon' selected for both the 'WEBGUI' service and 'IT13' service?

You seems not to understand what I mean and what I'm having like problem. I still have my payment receipt from October of this year when I bought 9 songs in the iTunes Store from my iPhone 4S. The problem is from all the 9 songs I've paid for, only 7 are still available from this list on my iPhone. There is no possibility to download the other 2 without paying for them. I've spoke to the lady from Mississippi on the phone 2 days ago from about 2 hours calling from Belgium but unfortunately she couldn't help me. It's the 3rd time I complain about this. How many time shall I pay for the same songs?? If you can access my music list and my past receipts payment you will be able to find out what I mean. I went back on iTunes I've found the the songs I already downloaded in October that should be on my playlist but if I click on them it will charge me again 0,99 cents. It's been 3 years I've been using the same apple ID with my iPhones. I just wand to get my songs back without having to pay them twice or 3 times
1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

AirDrop on iOS devices (iPads, iPhones, iPod touches) can only AirDrop things with other iOS devices. AirDrop on Mac can only AirDrop things with other Macs.

Hi for Qucikstart ... if there is still installed .. you could activate in in two ways... Start Computer press immidiate F2 for BIOS in move with arrow keys to CONFIG Page there you could found Quickstart set to enable... leave with press F10 save and exit...
or in windows XP start control panel you found QUICKSTART Configuration Tool click on this program you could activate at startup save and exit...

I'll try to show how the company's environment is. We have a Windows Server 2008 Standard
edition which is our File server and Print Management as well. We have a total of 5 deployed
printers and all of them except 2 work really well. These 2 printers are exactly the same
"Phaser 8560 Xerox". All drivers are placed on the Server, so all computers download the
drivers whenever They need it for a specific printer. Example: a new employe wants to
print something on the Phaser 8560 printer but his/her computer doesnt have any drivers
installed. The installation is easy: Start>Settings>Printers>Add Printer>Network Printer option>Find a printer in the directory>Look for Phaser and add it. When I choose the printer and press ok it takes like 20 seconds to get the driver from the server and its all done.
Here is the problem:
Whenever I try printing something on the Phasers It does print but a message:"Printer status is not available at this time" pops up right away. The process of printing works but the message keeps coming up. We have almost 150 computers and all of them show the same message. We have the latest drivers in the Server.
With the old driver this message didnt use to show up, so I guess the problem is the driver.

As far as I know, PrintingScout is feature of Phaser 8560 printer. It alerts you when print jobs are interrupted and suggests appropriate remedies. When you send a document to the Phaser 8560, the Xerox-exclusive PrintingScout utility monitors and reports any printer condition that might prevent a print job from completing successfully. A pop-up help window provides appropriate how-to instructions, illustrations and links to help the print job owner quickly identify and resolve his or her printing problem. This way, when end users must visit the printer, they are completely prepared to fix any problems. Since you don’t find the PrintingScout button, I suspect that you should uninstall the print driver and update the proper driver from the following link.

My interface -- buttons (back, forward, reload), firefox tab, groups, etc. -- does not look like the sample on your "firefox features" page. ("Groups" seems not to function at all.) I'm running the current firefox 4 download on Windows XP. Can you help?

Thank you for your swift reply. I don't know that this has helped me, as I've reached my level of tolerance for fooling with this annoying little problem - for today anyway. It has been going on since I "up" graded to Firefox 4. My wife is running 3.6.x on her laptop with none of this foolishness. As BLASPHEMOUS as it may sound, I've gone back to IE for the time being even though I don't like it 1000th as much as I do Firefox.
Not just to rant here, I would say that I found a way to put some buttons on the right side of the toolbar that immediately gave me permission to "back, forward, and reload", but upon closing the browser and going out for dinner with the wife, I find on return that not only are those buttons NOT still on the toolbar, but I can't find them anymore. I think they were in "add-ons" found under I believe Add-On Manager.
I did also manage to achieve back/forward functionality running Firefox in SAFE mode, but this meant no No-Script, among other things, and I've grown too fond of that particular little script to give it up.
I've rebooted, restored, and reinstalled, can't get this formerly completely reliable program to work like it always has. Before looking around on here, I was beginning to think it was my PC.

E1200 Parental control seems not functioning well...

I have a LinkSys E1200 wireless router at home. I set up the parental control, limiting the internet access between 8am - 11pm only. However, to my surprise, my son can still use the facebook to chat with his friends after 11:00pm! I found this a few times!!
I thought he downloaded some software so as to get around the router settings. However, he denied he did anything. While, with the other laptop, which is used by my daughter, the limited-internet-access-time-interval works fine: between 8am - 11pm only.
Any ideas? Thanks a lot.Unfortuneately the web-based setup page doesn't give me that option. I have an E1200 Router, Firmware V2.0.04 and there is an "Access Policy" menu with the only sub-option of "Parental Control". There isn't an "Access Restrictions" menu with multiple options containing "Internet Access Policy". I verified that V2.0.04 is the latest firmware update, why do I not have this functionality?

IChat status change not seen by other users

I have inherited a small network
I have a Aple Intel Xserve running 10.6.6 which all users are connected to
This has the iChat service set and running
All my users are running systems with 10.6.8
When some users change their status in iChat, this change is NOT being seen by the rest of the users
I cannot see any errors been highlighted in the logs on the server so assume the problem is with the client.
I can see nothing in the logs on the client.
Is there any diagnostic tools for iChat or should I be removing some plists on the client to solve this problem?

As it is an X Server and therefore is likely to be iChat Server that you are running (Or another Jabber server) then I would delete to com.apple.ichat.Jabber.plist and then restart the client iChat to refresh the Login.
Regarding your additional post I do seem to remember another thread where people could change there Available Status (to one with a Message or back to Available -- actually check this last statement) but not to Away.
At present as I type the answer to this escapes me.
This bothers me as I thinks I either had this issue myself or could replicate it.
AS they could have the Bonjour List and the Jabber server list showing can you check they have turned Off the Bonjour Option.
I see you have already posted in the Server Communities as that would have been my next suggestion.
If this then appears to "solve" it check again with the Bonjour Buddy List showing but check if the setting is to have the same Message for all Buddy lists (I am not sure that iChat 5 can do this actually).
Edit See the iChat Preferences > General Section deselect the Use Same Status for all Accounts
The client users may find it's about trying to change the Status from a Buddy List that is not the "front" window - particularly if the Bonjour window is open as well and linked though having the same Status message.
(dismissing a Buddy list using the red button to left only hides the window so some people may have more Buddy List open (Check the window Menu or the App menu > Accounts)
EDIT.
removing all the .plists on the client's computer "Might" do it
Deleting and reinstalling iChat "might" (I can't remeber what the default for the Use same Status item is so it may just get reset)

Java 7 General Availability Status
Hello,
What is the current general availability status of Java and JRE 7 (browser plugin mainly)? In java.com there is a reference to a page saying that it is not available to the general public yet (http://java.com/en/download/faq/java7.xml) but I remember getting prompted for an automatic update back last summer. Also from the Java pages at oracle.com it would seem as if it is generally available and I could not see anything that said it was not meant for production yet.
If it is not GA yet, what is the time frame for this?

Because we have the same problem and it seems to me like a bug. The answer for this problem from SAP is everytime patching (to Patch 33 then to Patch 35).
Now we have Patch 35 and the problem is still there. So it is interesting to hear that anyone has the same problem.

Jabber For Windows - Available Status on Hibernation
We're running Jabber for Windows 9.1.1 ansd see an issue which I think is casued by hiberantion.
A laptop user will be at their pc and and Available, then on leaving their desk, they would typically just close their pc lid, hibernating the pc, and leave the building.
Their status stays as Available, when of course thay are not. I understand that CUP has not received a specific state change event to update their status, but does any one know if their is a timeout/keepalive that would eventually indicate the user is offline?
I've not had chance test this in detail yet, I've just noticed it a few times when users near me are no longer at their desk, but still show as available.
Has anyone out there come across this? Or do I need to be telling our users they should sign out of Jabber before hibernating their pc's?

Closing my PC lid - PC Asleep
I can been seen as Away from another PC.
Opening my PC lid - I am still seen Away - both on my own jabber and a watcher client. I haven’t logged out and my status does not change even when I am back on the keyboard etc.
I can change it manually and then its appears correct both on my PC and the other PC.
Or
If I log out of jabber and back in – the correct status is shown both locally and remotely.
This appears confusing to the end user who thinks presence isn't working correctly. we have a number of jabebr users that move between locations for meetings and hence often just close thier PC lid and move locations. FYI - this also happens within the same site.
can you advise if there is a TAC case and if so if we can get an update ?

Hello, I just got an iPhone 4S and it seems that the bluetooth function in it doesn't work. I tried few times to pair it to other non Apple phones but it never worked. Does anyone has an idea how to solve the problem? Tks.
This is not a feature of iPhone, iPad or iOS.
Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone
devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the
app store and internet tethering where provided by the carrier.

Switchover failed,primary status is 'not allowed'

i used AS5+11gR2+dg and got a problem after normal switchover.
1.the switchover_status of primary shows 'not allowed'
2.log seems not SYNC.
3.dgmgrl shows 'incorrect database role'.
everything goes OK before switchover, how could this happen and how to switchover back?
