B2B scenario in SAP PO

Hi Experts,
We have to start with the development of B2B scenario in SAP PO 7.4.
The scenario is as mentioned below :-
SAP ECC ------> SAP PO -----> B2B VAN Provider----> (various customers)
After going through some of the blogs, listed few points which seems to be confusing to me -
1) How the TPM configuration could be done in this case? We tried with one doc but its somehow confusing.
2) How the configuration will be done? Creation of party, agency and schema? Identifiers tab of the communication channel.
Gone through the above mentioned link, got confused about the configuration part.
As per my understanding,
Sender party --> no need to create as landscape is same.
Receiver party --> Mandatory to create, but what needs to be put in Agency, Schema and Value?(around 50+ customers for one VAN)
Is my understanding correct? Please correct if i am wrong.
Please guide, if someone has worked over B2B SAP PO 7.4.
Thanks!
Br,
Nidhi

Hi Nidhi,
for your second question integration to VAN. you only need to maintain the identifier (AS2 identifier) for VAN and VAN will distribute/route the message to customer.

  • Regarding A2A & B2B Scenario development in SAP PI /XI?

    Hello Experts,
Kindly clarify my doubt regarding A2A & B2B Scenario's development in SAP PI / XI.
I mean when to use & which adapter user in which scenario & specifically what difference does it make when we use one adapter in one scenario meant for another one. Will it work?
The Question may be quite Naive to all of you but still want to clear some thing from my head.
    Best Regards

    Hi Inaki Vila,
Thanks for Reply, i did searched SDN before raising this question. i stumble upon this difference between A2A and B2B scenarios.but the question still remain in my head what adapters should i use for B2B scenario is it necessary that i should use EDIFACT for B2B & not for A2A. Here in my company we are handling a client which has several legacy system in landscape which are integrated to SAP ERP with SAP PI here they mostly used File Adapters, what happens if i use File Adapters for B2B scenario.

  • For sending file in  B2B  scenario

    Hello Friends,
I need to pass a file to my client's business partner...
    I think its a B2B scenario...
So how to transfer a file my client to  his business parntner.
Please suggest which adpter to use at receiver side and how to handle the configuration..
It should be secure and reliable

    hi,
you have to use FILE ADAPTER but you need to use PARTY when you are using BPM
    check this blogs for reference
    BPM means Business process management
To deal with Multiple sender and receivers based on the conditions we could use BPM. Its one of the feature of BPM, but its not mandatory to go for BPM for each n every case. Its depends upon scnenario.
BPM steps are divided into two types:
    1)message steps
    2)flow steps
    message steps are :
    a)send step
    b)receive step
    c)receiver determination step
    d)tranformation step
    flow steps are:
    a)control step
    b)container operation
    c)block step
    d)wait step
    e)fork step
    f)switch step
    g)undefined step
    h)loop step

  • Namespace issue in a B2B scenario

    Hi all,
I have an iDoc to iDoc  B2B scenario (R/3<->XI<->XI<->R/3),
My partner has defined an iDoc extention and sent me the xsd.
Now I have a problem in defining the interface because I don't have the same iDoc definition(different R/3 version) so I cannot import it into the IR, and I cannot define the message type and message interface as an external definition because the MI is in the iDoc reserved namespace.
How can I solve this conflict ?
    Thanks,
    Elad.

    Hi Elad (or Ofir?),
my idea was to change temporary connection data for import from SAP system of SWKV. The question is, if you dont have connection to that system, how do you want to connect with XI and how do you want to test?
    2. idea was: instead of imported idoc you just create a dummy interface in repository. The interfaces itselfes (and so the imported idocs) will not be validated by integration engine. Only if you use message mapping you really NEED a correct XSD schema.
So something like R/3 idoc -> own interface -> any mapping except message mapping -> loaded idoc interface -> other R/3

  • B2B capability of SAP PI 7.1

Need clarification on the B2B capability of SAP PI 7.1. I have the following scenario:
    SAP ERP <-> SAP PI 7.1 <-> (xml) <-> B2B Trading partners
I have three questions on the above scenario:
    1. SAP PI will have to send standard XML message to B2B trading partners (outside company firewall), with digitally encrypting the message with digital certificate which the partners will decrypt and process at their end. Is there any facility in SAP PI 7.1 to do that? The transport protocol can be HTTP/HTTPs. Can SAP PI handle this B2B enveloping requirement alone or it requires third party support from Seeburger/iWay etc.? Which product of Seeburger can provide this?
    2. If instead of standard XML, SAP PI will have to send Rosettanet messages to B2B trading partners, I understand its Rosettanet adapter (RNIF 1.1/2.0) can do that, but will the rosettanet adapter be able to handle the B2B requirement of digital encryption, digital certificate etc. while sending the message to different partners?
    3. Same requirement as of question 1 and 2, but this time the message format is ebXML? Can it handle B2B encryption/digital certificate etc. or it needs additional product like Seeburger (if so, which product?)
    Thanks for your quick response.

    1. As far as your certificate related query is concerned, PI alone can very well handle this and no third party product is required. Your communication is XML based, therefore no need to use third party adapters. Seeburger is generally used for EDI communication.
    2. Yes, Rosettanet can solve your purpose.
    3. ebXML can be handled using standard PI adapter with some additional header information which can be achieved using mapping or adapter module. Otherwise you may use iWay adapter for ebXML communciation.

  • What is a B2B scenario definition from XI perspective ?

    Hi All,
what is a b2b scenario in xi ? suppose, data flows from wholesale dealer database to companies r/3 system, will it be a b2b scenario ?

    Hi,
Here goes a simple explanation :
A2A is application to application. When two applications in a company communicates with each other we call it an A2A scenario and if its across Companies we call it B2B or buisness to buisness.
B2B scenarios come in to picture when communication is between two Organizations or parties.
Let's say, there are 2 companies, and they have a different systems, which need to be integrated. For Ex: your client is using SAP R/3 and their customer is having some other technology. they want to integrate each Appications. this is B2B.
"B2B" is contemporary shorthand for a longtime sales practice called business-to-business. B2B transactions primarily target companies and other wholesale buyers, while transactions targeting individuals are called B2C, or business-to-customer. Many organizations have both B2B and B2C components, but it's not unusual for a company to specialize in B2B services or sales. In fact, the vast majority of products and services sold are considered to be B2B in nature
If you do the Intergration for the BP out side the Customer LAND SCAPE then it is called a B2B
The scenarion you are talking about falls under B2B , if the wholesale dealer database and r/3 system doesnot fall under same company (enterprise).
    Hope this is helpful.

    Divya

  • Regarding A2A And B2B Integrations in SAP XI

    Hi Experts,
I want to Know the Difference Between the A2A And B2B Integrations in XI.
Any one Can Please Explain me In General Words Using One Real Time Scenario.
    Helpful ANS Will be Rewarded.
    Regards
    Khanna

    Hi Rajesh ,
Today's business world is infinitely more complex than it was a long time ago.
Modern companies have a large number of applications that take care of
running the business. Such diverse applications weren't a problem initially
because they were meant to provide stand-alone, independent, and
automated functions. The result of this diversity was a collection of stovepipe
applications rather than a unified network of linked systems. But now, the
companies are realizing the utmost need to integrate these independent data
silos to leverage the information stored in them across the various vertical
and horizontal domains as well as surmount the ever-increasing costs of
    building new applications.
And this is where an A2A Integration solution comes into the picture.
    1>A2A Integration
A2A Integration is a collection of processes, software and hardware tools,
methodologies, and technologies. When implemented together, they have the
aim of consolidating, connecting, and organizing all the businesses computer
applications, data, and business processes (both legacy and new) into a
seamlessly interfaced framework of system components that allow real-time
exchange, management, and easy reformulation of the company's missioncritical
    information and knowledge.
    2> B2B Integration
B2B Integration is fundamentally about coordinating information among
    businesses and their information systems.
In today's world with companies operating in a global business environment,
B2B Integration is a pre-requisite for them to remain competitive. They need
to come out of their shell and interact with their suppliers, partners, and
customers distributed throughout the world. B2B Integration enables a
company to focus on its core competencies and offload other services to
partners to gain efficiency and reduce cost.

  • Standard B2B Scenario

    Hi guys,
I have read a lot of docs the last few days, but there's one thing that I'm not really sure of: In a standard B2B scenario, I want to exchange Orders05 Idocs and the corresponding Invoice Idocs. Now I have to import these Idoc types into IR. Should I create a separate software component containing only those Idocs I want for all B2B scenarios or should I import the IDocs into standard SAP components like SAP Basis or something else?
    Reagrds,
    Michael

    Hi,
Basically while dealing with SAP Applications we dont need to create a Separate SWC  for SAP Application. Why because by default all these SWC and PRD are available with the Standard SAP Product itself.
So while creating the Technical system we can add the SAP PRD which contains all these SWC like SAP ABAP , HR, BASIS etc....
Cretae One PRD----SWCV of Third party and use it in IR for Interfaces Development

  • B2B Scenario inputs required..

    Hi All,
We would like to perform a B2B scenario (SAP R/3 -> PI -> X12 810), So we have a Flat file Invoice Idoc which can be mapped to PI and we want to generate equivalent ANSI X12 810. This is for testing purpose only and we don't have Seeburger adapter.
Can we implement this scenario? If so please let us know how to proceed
    Thanks

    > We are not having Conversion agent as well. So we would  do the Java mapping, but at the receiver end can we use a file adapter? I believe we need to specify all the content conversion parameters ryt? Which would be a File - to - File scenario?
    >
    > Is that right?
Yes you can use File adapter at receiver end,but JAVA Mapping have to give output in the form of X12 staructure, it is going to be a tough logic to implement, but we can do it.

  • B2B Scenarios?? Urgent

    Hi XI experts..
Anybody explain about Busines 2 business scenarios..
what are necessary steps i should follow to develop B2B Scenarios. Compare to A2A.
Share to me Some Real Time Example's..
    Thanks,
    RAJU

    Hi Rajshekar,
B2B scenarios come in to picture when communication is between two Organizations or parties.
    A2A - application 2 application:
this is a integration like let's say, you have 2 systems in your company: ERP & accounting system. And you want to send data from ERP to acconting system. This happens inside your company, so it is sol called A2A.
    B2B - business 2 business
Let's say, there are 2 companies, and they have a different systems, which need to be integrated. For Ex: your client is using SAP R/3 and their customer is having some other technology. they want to integrate each Appications. this is B2B.
"B2B" is contemporary shorthand for a longtime sales practice called business-to-business. B2B transactions primarily target companies and other wholesale buyers, while transactions targeting individuals are called B2C, or business-to-customer. Many organizations have both B2B and B2C components, but it's not unusual for a company to specialize in B2B services or sales. In fact, the vast majority of products and services sold are considered to be B2B in nature.
One major reason for the popularity of B2B sales and services is sheer volume. An individual customer may visit a clothing manufacturer's website catalog and order two pairs of shoes or a sweater. The buyer for a national chain of clothing stores, however, may order 5,000 pairs of shoes and 2,000 sweaters. Without a B2B component, the manufacturer would have lost out on a very lucrative sale. This is why many companies provide B2B options alongside the B2C offerings at their websites and other outlets.
B2B sales are also generated by providing a specialized product line or service not available to the general public. This form of B2B transaction is very common in the manufacturing world. A company which produces shaving cream in cans, for example, may need a specific plastic nozzle. Several plastic injection molding companies would send sales representatives to pitch their particular designs. These nozzles would be useless for individual customers, but a manufacturer may order thousands of them.
With the growth in electronic communications, B2B has taken on even more importance. Instead of simply focusing on business-to-business sales, modern corporations are conducting other financial transactions online. B2B communications are now being used to promote investment, trade stocks and form financial alliances. Because the price of these transactions is far beyond the reach of most individuals, there is no equivalent business-to-customer option available. Some B2B transactions handled electronically can literally run into the billions of dollars.

    Hello LRG,
Almost anything you can do in a Java class can be done in a JSP - but it is always recommended you do less of coding in the JSP. But this is an exception you can do in the JSP
All the inport classes required for this piece of code you have referred can be added to the page import in JSP. For example if you need the class UserSessionData then
    <%@ page import=u2018com.sap.isa.core.UserSessionDatau2019 %>
will do the job in the JSP. Once you have all the required imports then it is just a matter of adding the piece of code in a Java scriptlet to get the scenario.
    <%
//Code copied from the message reply by Michael Meyer
    UserSessionData dt = UserSessionData.getUserSessionData(request.getSession());
    BusinessObjectManager mgm = (BusinessObjectManager)dt.getBOM(BusinessObjectManager.ISACORE_BOM);
    String scenario = mgm.getShop().getScenario();
    %>
After this, is determined in any page, use the variable scenario, use it in a if clause and surround the button with that if clause.
    <% if (scenario == BOBSCENARIO) { %>
//HTML code in the JSP here for the button when the scenario is BOB
    <% } else { %>
//More HTML JSP code if the scenario is not BOB
    <% } %>
Hope this is what you wanted.
