Background-image of a Design Studio 1.3 extension is not displayed when the control is  dragged on the canvas

Hello,
I have a Design Studio Extension with a background image which behave well in Design Studio 1.2.
In Design Studio 1.3 when I drag the control into the canvas the image does not show-up. If I execute the application the image appear in the browser even is not in the canvas.Once I save and reopen the application the image is displayed on the canvas as expected.
I built an extension based on  the 'Timer' sample which comes with the DS_13_SDK_Samples ( it has a background image) and it behaves the same way - when you drag the control on the canvas, the image is not displayed.
Any help to solve this issue is much appreciated.
Thank you.

It does start to work once I save and reopen or even when I run.
I tried the inline style but the behavior is much stranger. It does work if I have a full address url to an image, but if my image is part of the control's folder structure it fails completely - it cannot map the right address to the image. The only configuration that appears to work better is the one with the original problem.
Thank you.

  • My iPhoto images won't show, and Photo Library Repair will not open when I command-Option-click on the iPhoto icon.

    Some of my iPhoto albums will not show, as below:
    When I click on any of those individual albums, for a brief split second I can see the images displayed, but then they revert to this:
    Then if I click on any of those images, this image appears:
    I have real a lot of posts that say to click Command+Option while opening iPhoto and this will open the Photo Library Repair window, but... this is not happening. Each time I do it, iPhoto just opens as it normally does. I've tried about 10 times, closing iPhoto completely. I've tried through the dock icon and through the applications listing. Neither will open anything other than regular old iPhoto.
    Can anyone help me and suggest what I may be doing wrong, or are there any alternative was to open Photo Library Repair so I can rebuild my library? I really don't want to lose all of those photos, especially since some are really important and irreplaceable.
    Thanks.

    I have real a lot of posts that say to click Command+Option while opening iPhoto and this will open the Photo Library Repair window, but... this is not happening.
    Be sure you're holding the correct keys and that you're holding them long enough. Depress them before clicking on iPhoto and don't let go until the menu shows up.
    If you don't want to lose those photos, make a back up now. Hopefully it's not too late.

  • Setting a background image using CSS Designer

    I am trying to set a background image for a page header using the CSS Designer. When I click the browse button the Select Image Source dialog box launches but any time I click on something the dialog box closes and no changes are made. Does anyone know what is causing this?

    Which DW are you using and which platform/OS, please? I am unable to reproduce this with CC2014 on OS10.9.4

  • Background Image Disappears in Design View

    Hi, I am new to website design and just recently the background image stopped showing up in design view.  When I switch to live view and check in the browser though the background shows up again.  It used to work before but it just stopped working recently.  I have been trying to find a solution but it has not been working out.  If anyone has any ideas as to what could fix my problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Here is my css
    @charset "UTF-8";
    #container {
              height: 1280px;
              width: 960px;

              margin-left: auto;
              position: relative;
              background-image: url(../Images/background%20copy.jpg);
              background-repeat: no-repeat;

              margin-bottom: 195px;
              text-align: center;
              position: absolute;
              margin-left: 230px;
              text-transform: capitalize;
              font-variant: small-caps;

              margin-right: 60px;
              font-size: 18px;
              text-align: center;
    When i turn it on live view it is also formatted correctly and everything.  But when it is on just design or split view the text and all of the pictures don't follow any of the css.

  • Design Studio 1.3 applications, scroll not working Mobile BI App (iPhone)

    Hi,
    We just upgraded from design studio 1.2. to 1.3
    We have a mobile application published to iPhone in which some of the data is shown only when you scroll down.
    After the upgrade the scroll down is not working.
    Did any of you have the same issue? Did you find any solution?
    Kind Regards
    Alon Kanat

    Hello Alon,
    Did you also download and install the hotfix for Design Studio that SAP released on July 4th?  See http://scn.sap.com/message/15191508#15191508
    Please check and if not, install the hotfix and try again

  • Img alt="text" not displayed when images are turned off in Safari

    I have tried to search this, but every search has returned too many posts, so I apologize in advance.
    Have I made some error or is there an issue with my Safari? For some reason my Safari does not display alt="text" when images are turned off?
    This is what is supposed to happen (see http://www.w3schools.com/tags/attimgalt.asp) and it works fine in my other browsers (Opera, FF), but with Safari I get nothing - no image, no alt text, no indiciation that an image is supposed to be in that place. According to w3c, Safari is supposed to be compliant.
    There is no problem with the site itself, I am designing the site and test with and without images to see how it degrades. As I said, it works properly in Opera and FF - the alt="text" text is displayed in place of the image - but not in Safari.
    Is this just my Safari? How do I fix this if it is?
    Is it Safari in general? If so, how do we get it fixed, because this is clearly just not correct?

    It's not just you. I see the same thing in my Safari. It appears to be a Safari problem, in which case the best thing to do is submit feedback to Apple's developers via the Mac OS X feedback form. (You will not receive a response, as that page notes, but the feedback will get to the people who can use it.)

  • Photo Gallery Images Do Not Display When Uploaded

    I have made a photo gallery in Bidge, and locally, it looks fine. WHen I upload the folder to the remote server, none of the images will display.
    Everything is contained in the gallery folder, and I uploaded that folder. The web pages are displayed, but the images will not.
    On the image below, the list of local files are on the right, and the remote files are on the left.
    Please tell me what I've missed. Thanks.

    Is your photo gallery from a Collection?  Don't think those can be shared as they are  just alisis and not the image.

    I am far from being the best person to give advice, I would
    steer clear of
    javascript menus for a start - they don't work with
    javascript turned off.
    There are many good ones recommended here,
    www.projectseven.com and others
    Start with a clean page and investigate Server Side Includes
    with a good
    menu (see many recommendations here) or, as you suggest (you
    don't have many
    pages), a template.
    Make sure you save the template File > Save As Template.
    >then rename the individual pages
    No, create child pages from the template, giving them names.
    I wouldn't
    rename anything you already have, the code is... bad.
    Check out your validation errors to make sure you don't
    repeat your
    mistakes.
    You'd be wise to look at
    http://www.w3schools.com/ for
    HTML and CSS.
    As I said, I'm not the best person to help but hope this does
    a bit.

  • Images not displaying when creating an OFT in Outlook 2007

    Hi, for years I have made OFTs by importing HTML I created into Outlook via "Send Web Page by E-mail" and it worked great. I updated to the latest Outlook (2013 I think) and then tried and tried and tried to get an OFT created but there were always
    problems with the images.
    So I went back to 2007 and used the same old method I had used before and it doesn't work anymore. When I import the HTML it looks fine but then when I select "Send Web Page by E-mail" the mail template doesn't have the images, instead a message
    shows:
    "This linked image cannot be displayed. The file may have been moved, renamed, or deleted. Verify that the link points to the correct file and location."
    I can't figure out how to get the images linking correctly.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    ~peter

    Hi Peter,
    In general, when we open an item that has embedded images, the images are copied to the following temp location which is then used for displaying the image:
    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files
    Outlook 2007 read which temp location is controlled by the following registry value:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Cache
    This issue may happen if the value is set to a data other than:
    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files
    Please navigate to the registry path above and check if the value date of
    Cache is set correctly. If not, change it to the correct one and then test the issue again.
    Note: Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. For added protection,
    back up the registry before you modify it.
    Please let me know the result.

  • Thumbnail not displaying when attaching image to email

    Suddenly my Mac is not displaying a thumbnail image when I go to attach an image to an email. I have fixed permissions, restarted and relaunched Finder, but it's still not displaying. I've also unchecked and rechecked "show icon preview" in View Option while in the Finder. Anyone know any solutions?

    Couple of ideas...
    • After you have attached the image and it is showing in the email, right-click or Control-click the displayed image. From the menu that appears, select "View as icon". Then send it as a test.
    • Once the image has been attached, fiddle with the Image Size dropmenu choices - this dropmenu is located in the lower right corner of the New Message window after adding the image.

  • Images not displaying when using Mod_JK

    Has anyone had this problem with any success?
    platform:
    Windows 2000 Professional
    Jakarta Tomcat 4.1.3
    Apache 2.0.039
    Mod_jk connector
    My_Sql 4.0.1
    I have a successful connection between Tomcat and Apache via the mod_jk module.
    All JSP's are displaying with the appropriate data from MySql.
    My problem is that no images will display when I connect through Apache, via port 80.
    When I connect to Tomcat direct through port 8080, everything displays properly including images.
    Currently, I am running my application under Tomcat's webapp subdirectory.
    Is there something that I perhaps not did properly configure with Apache's http.conf file or with
    server.xml?
    Any suggestions or answers would certainly be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Lenny Sorey

    Lenny,
    I apologize for not having an answer to your question, but I'm envious that you've successfully configured mod_jk. I've read several different versions of how to configure this, but nothing has worked so far. I wonder if you could either point me to some correct instructions on how to integrate Apache and Tomcat so I might try to duplicate your success.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vince

  • Images not displaying when selecting it from real table

    Case is, I have some HTML in a table, help texts for that matter. It has some images in it defined like that:
    ... <img src="&COMPANY_IMAGES.picture.gif"> ...
    But the &COMPANY_IMAGES. substitution does not take place. When testing, I found out that
    select '&COMPANY_IMAGES.<br><br>#COMPANY_IMAGES#' as working
    , col as not_working
    from TEST_TABLE where ID = 1
    working column had both strings replaced, while not_working had not. Now the question is, whether this is an intended behaviour or not? I got my report working with the workaround of
    select replace(col, '&'||'COMPANY_IMAGES.', :COMPANY_IMAGES) as col
    from TEST_TABLE where ID=1
    but I would like to know the exact limitations to know while planning ahead not discover afterwards... Or is there a better way to get them substituted from db columns (without the replace)?

    Kaja,
    Looks like intended behavior to me. There is no reason for the engine to do substitutions on data you select from a table. Your method should be fine.

  • Jpeg image loaded with Loader- loadBytes() does not display when app is deployed on remote server

    I am loading a JPEG  image from the server, using the Loader->loadBytes() and that works when the app is deployed under my local Tomcat server.  When I deploy it on other servers the image is not displayed,  instead of the image I see II*
    On the server side I have java, Spring, BlazeDs and I use RemoteObject on the client.
    The code that loads the image looks like below:
    private function imageLoadResultHandler(event:ResultEvent):void {
        var result:ArrayCollection = event.result as ArrayCollection
        var bytes : ByteArray = result.getItemAt(0) as ByteArray;
        _loader = new Loader();
        _loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, loaderCompleteHandler);
        _loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, loaderFaultHandler);
        _loader.loadBytes(bytes);
    private function loaderCompleteHandler(event:Event):void {
        var loaderInfo:LoaderInfo = event.currentTarget as LoaderInfo;
        var img:Image = new Image();
        img.source = loaderInfo.content;
        myPanel.addChild(img);
    <mx:RemoteObject id="ro" destination="imageLoadService">
         <mx:method name="loadImage" result="imageLoadResultHandler(event)" fault="faultHandler(event)" />
    </mx:RemoteObject>
    Any help with this problem is much appreciated.
    Thank you,

    Hi Dmitri,
    Thank you for the prompt reply, your question about the jpeg content was a helpful pointer.
    I solved the problem, it had nothing to do with flex, it was all on the java side. The image was obtained from converting a TIFF to a JPEG, the conversion was failing and the flex loader was receiveing a tiff and it did not know how to display it.
    The java problem was kind of interesting, I'll post it here as an FYI in case anybody cares :
    On my server the first writer returned by ImageIO was an instance of JPEGImageWriter and on the other servers was CLibJPEGImageWriter. And it happens that  only JPEGImageWrite can write the type of TIFF that we are having.
    The fix was to iterate through all the writers and pick the instace of JPEGImageWrite, instead of the first one found.

  • Image does not display when selected

    Images are not displayed on opening. Progress bar "Reading Photoshop format" runs and fnishes. Layer info is displayed at right. But the image is not shown in the work space.
    (Added) Problem occurs with PSD and DNG (ACR) file types only. JPG files open fine. DNG opens in ACR but the "Open" button has no effect. PSD does not appear at all, when selected.
    Any ideas appreciated.

    Looks like stopping/restarting PS resolved this issue, at least for the moment. I'm quite new to the Mac World, and may have pressed some wrong keys/combinations (?).
