Backup Failed, I need HELP!!!!!

I picked up my MacBook Pro 17, from the Apple store. Apple replaced the Hard Drive and my Optical Drive. Before I sent my machine to the Apple store, I backed up everything with Time Machine.
I got it home and started to restore my system from what time machine has stored on my external hard drive. After about 2 hours, during the few mins, I noticed that the program was hung up on 1 min for like 30 to 45mins. I stopped my machine. I forced a shut down and rebooted.
I restarted my computer and noticed that most of my applications were there, but my documents folder was empty, my music folder was empty and my photos folder was empty also.
My Question . . .
I still have the full back up on my external drive. Can I go to Disk Utility and Erase All data on my hard drive. Open Migration Assistant and restore my back up from the hard drive all over again?

This is really odd, there are no songs in my music, no photos on iphotos, no addresses is address book, no book marks in safari. Now I'm wondering if time machine backs up that kind of information?

Friend deleted app (my disk for iphone) and need to get back data from my icloud backup...need help!

     I had this app called my disk (app store name is: Lock photo+video safe - secure folder manager to protect private photos vault & hide secret picture file privacy) This app lets me have two passwords with different pictures and videos in each of them. It's a really great app.
     My friend deleted the app by "accident" and I need to get the app back with all my data. I have a backup of the app on my icloud backup that was taken place two months ago (around same time the app was deleted). It shows up in the cloud saying I have 4gb worth of that app in the cloud. I restore my phone back to that backup but the app data is not there. I wasn't sure if I had to wait till my iphone backs up everything (like music and pictures for example) for it to show up but as soon as the app downloaded I opened it hapilly knowing I have my data back but unfortunately it was not there. In the app itself, there's an option to backup from the cloud but it just brings up this window that says you can back up from the cloud (doesn't have a place to hit that says restore or anything).
     Is there something I am doing wrong? Can anyone help me? I really need that app data back because I have pictures of memories with friends and family inside that app that I do not have anywhere else. Once i get the back back ill be sure to save the photos onto my computer just incase anything goes wrong again.

It seems that in a case like this you'd need to reset the device to factory settings and then restore from iCloud backup.
Sadly the reset to factory settings could cause more trouble than its worth.
Apple's iCloud backup, could, but does not let the user restore one app or its data.
You'll also find that even though that App's data is in the cloud, you as its owner do not have access to it.

Backup Database Problem - Need help -- thanks!!

I have backed up my LR database every few days and have had it check for corruption. Things were fine until today when I went to back it up. I received a message saying "Cannot write one file". That was the extent of the message. It didn't say that I had a corruption or give me an obvious error type warning. I rebooted my PC and repeated the maneuver without success.
I then opened my most previous DB, from last week, and when I tried to save it, I got the same "Cannot write one file" message.
LR appears to be working fine and all my metadata information seems intact.
What does this mean and what should I do? I need to back up my database otherwise I feel very vulnerable to problems.

I am using a Windows XP workstation and using the native LR database backup routine to backup the file to an external Western Digital harddrive. The WD HD has tons of room and, for some reason, the backup routine would tell me that it was "unable to write one file".
I've tried reverting to an prior copy of the DB and now it seems okay. But I lost some of my recent work and feel a little less secure about putting all my edits/metadata into LR if I can be at risk for losing it again in the future.

CC updates always fail? Need help.

Hello all,
I have CC and a prompt to update Premiere Pro and Photoshop two programs I use frequently. Recently, however, I have been unable to open either because I have yet to install the updates. Problem: each time I try to install the updates they fail midway through the process. I've tried dozens of times and they never work.
There's only one thing I can think of.
When I first downloaded CC, it failed installing midway through each time as well. When I contacted support, they were able to instruct me to delete some temp file (or something or other) in the Adobe folder in finder, so I can imagine there may be a problem with that kind of cached file or something like that again. The whole issue had something to do with the fact that I had previously had a trial of CC months earlier.
Anyway, if anyone has a possible solution to this issue I'd be especially grateful. I am editing a film for film school that is *required* to be cut on Premiere though I'm usually working with other programs so it's time sensitive to a degree.

I got this error last week.
The problem was that the keystore I was pointing to, was in other location, so it could not initialize the default context.
I had defined ...

In my case, I will try to develop a secure SOAP conexion using certificates.
Before to try the conexion, I defined ...

... and the problem when I got this error ... the keystore file was not in the correct location.
That was how I resolved this error.

Failed BCRAN, need help with prep for SIMS

I took the BCRAN today and got 751 out of 790. THe multiple choice, drag n drop, etc were not that bad. However, the SIMS were extremely detailed. I don't understand how Cisco Press can put out a book and not cover the depth that they require on the test. The sims were way tougher than anything on the CDrom that comes with the book. Anyways, that is what buried me on this test. Can anyone point me to the following?

If I had these down better, I would have passed easily but I think I only got the frame relay partially and I had to finally click next on the ISDN due to time constraints. I have a question on the Frame Relay SIM.
It wouldn't allow me to do frame-relay map ip x.x.x.x <dlci> on anything but the main serial interface. I thought you were supposed to put that on the subinterfaces but it wouldn't let me. It was something I had not seen before.
I have looked at the net 130 ccnp online labs but none of them look like the sim I had to do at all. I need something that is going to be as close as possible to the sim or both the ISDN config and the Frame config.

Installation fail! Need help ASAP

I tried to install the 6.0.4 upgrade. It went through the whole procedure and then said it failed. So I uninstalled ID and tried to reinstall it from the original CD. Fail! Now I'm stuck with no ID CS4. This is not good.
This is the error message:

Try again, but this time uninstall, then dowload and run the clean script (Run the CS4 Clean Script) before reinstalling. I uspect you'll have to reinstall the entire suite if you have multiple products.

Iphone 3Gs 3.1.2 failed boot, need help ASAP

I am having problem with my iphone 3gs. let me tell you the scenario, my iphone died, so i plugged in the charger and it started loading the battery, so i left, when i returned the iphone was off so put it on and the usual iphone apple logo showed as it usually does, and it shows for about 10-15 secs and then the screen turns black and nothing happens, so it means the iphone shut off. i then try to put it on again and the same thing happened. so i really want to know if there is a way i can fix this at home with out giving in my phone to customer service as i want to keep all my apps, contacts, pictures, settings, etc.
Ps. i have tried the so called reset where you hold the home and power button, all that happened what that the screen flashed white for a second and then it returned to the same state. DS

See if you can force the phone into recovery mode:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, itunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.

Got a brand new external drive; reformatted to Mac standard, started well then almost to the end of the backup (163.13GB to total of 165GB) it started back to "Calculating Changes" & "Indexing Backup"!

You can try DiskWarrior (about $100).
If that doesn't work, and if you have no backups at all, you might need to send your hard drive to Drive Savers or a similar service. It will cost a lot of money to get the data back, I'm sorry to say.

I could find the answer after searching previous posts about this language problem.
Had to change my language in AAM profile and then download PS CS6 again ( english version ).
Then open the actual Photoshop and in preferences > interface you can besides the Dutch also option for English.
restart application and Voila.
