Bank Master Data ( Creation of new Account )....

Dear SAP Gurus,
   Good morning to all,i have one doubt regarding creating a new Bank Master Data in Production, please help me.My user has a requirement which is like one Cash Credit Account has been opened with SBI bank where with the same bank and branch there is already an existing Current Account,now my client wants from me to create a bank master data for the new bank Cash Credit  Account( as he is saying that he has to maintain BRS).
   Now i have to know that what is the best practice in sap whether i should create one more  master data for the new Account or i should attach the new account with the existing Bank Master?
Please help it is urgent.I'll be waiting for your valuable suggestion.

Hi Rajiv,
Creation of new house bank will not serve purpose in better way, it is only required when there is a complext scenatio in check printing but that does not appear in your case.
So, create a new Bank Account in the existing House Bank, this will be included in Bank Reconciliation. Moreover, creation of Bank account instead of House Bank will also ease some maintainance in Bank Reconciliation statement configuration.

    I'm trying to find a way to avoid the usage of LSMW for customer and vendor master data creation; according with the specified account group, I  read the table T007D (for the Customers) fields for Generic, Company and Sales Area Data, and then I made my own BDC_DATA code structure.
    The problem is that I don't exactly know which position of the colums FAUSA, FAUSF and FAUSV corresponds to which Master Data Fields. Where do I find this Mapping? Is the mapping defined in the SAP ABAP code or there is an internal mapping table?

    The problem, indeed, is not the LSMW. I was wondering if it would be easy to develop that kind of tool using ABAP.
    However, if it is possible to do that using the LSMW, I would try it. One question about the LSMW, how can I obtain the information of the tables T077D and TMOD*? Do I have to put ABAP code in the 5th LSMW step "Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules"?

    Hello Experts,
    I have a requirement in CRM box.
    If we navigate to SAP menu we have Self Service -> Financial Internal Self Services.
    Then a portal page will open in browser. There we have link Master Data Services.
    In that link we have standard sublinks for some financial master data creation.
    This is coming from LPD_CUST(Launchpad Customizing) -> FINISS. In this Master Data Services we have to create new link for "Create Asset".
    We can't go for Transactional iView. We have to choose Application Type as Web Dynpro ABAP only as present in standard links.
    And in the Application USMD_ENTITY_VALUE2 should be present as generic UI component.
    But after that what needs to be done for asset I am not getting. We have to do some config for component for web dynpro component, entity types, UIBB etc. InSPRO also, Cross-Application components ->Process and tools for Enterprise Applications -> MDG -> General Settings also we have to do something. I have collected info in isolated way.
    How to approach for this. Please suggest.

  • Blocking of vendor upon master data creation...

    Hi Experts,
    Is there a way I can do which will blocked the vendor from payment/posting after its master data creation?
    Meaning, once a new vendor code is created its should be defaulted to "blocked for posting" when saving. Unblocking shall be performed by another user.

    You can block vendors through Mass maintenance: Tcode XK99 or through XK05 - Block vendors which is especially for blocking of vendors.
    In XK99 you can block more than one vendor where as in XK05 you can block one vendor.

  • Clean up House Bank master data

    Dear experts,
    Our company did not use auto-payment and bank statement, the open item clearings are done directly use the Bank G/L accounts, it seems the House Banks are never used.
    Now we want to clean up the old House Banks because these data are totally a mess, I'm not sure if any check or step need to be done before we delete them.
    Pls. help to give some advices.

    While creating the house bank , i created the bank master using the create button.
    This was saved in the transport request and moved correctly through the transport.
    Now i find that the description etc. to be changed in FI02. I have done the changes.
    These changes when transported do not get reflected in the new environment.
    Please let me know the reason.

    I need your help to able to use LSMW on CRM for bulk master data creation. Below is described my detailed requirement; -
    We have CRM 2007 integrated with SAP ISU (ECC6.0). As per business process all Business Master Data (BP details, Business Agreement details etc) and Technical Master Data (Connection Object, PoD etc.) is created in CRM and then it is replicated in ISU. We are going to start Assembly Test soon. Now we need to have all master data in place. Tool we want to use is LSMW.
    Now can you help me right from scratch on how to use LSMW for bulk master data creation in CRM?
    Please give me documents / links etc that is relevant.

    I have looked into your query.
    These are some information which might be useful to you.
    What is LSMW?
    Legacy System Migration Workbench or LSMW is SAP standard program that can be used to easily load / change master data or transactions in SAP without any programming at all. It can be used to upload data at cutover, such as: open orders, contracts, materials, vendors, stock on hand. It can also be used in a production system to make changes to existing data. Very limited authorization checks are available on the transaction, so the use of it must be very well controlled.
    One input file can be used to create all the views of the material master. For all the material types. Even if different views and fields are used for the different materials.
    Steps to take
    1. Create text file with data to be loaded
    2. Set up and run LSMW

    Can anybody suggest how to apply validation while creation of vendor master data. As this can not be done through GGB1 as it is ment for document level validation. Please suggest any user exit or badi or validation path for this.

    your post is rubbish, substitutions and validations are in use in document posting, not for master data creation. Even the OP told this, when he asked his question...

    I haven't tried the MDM Import manager..but I solved it with LSMW. I created a recording for one record entry, then I specified the rest of the data in a text file, and passed it to LSMW..It worked (almost) perfectly!

    you mean the tab is not displayed? strange, it seems that there should be a screen layout to control the ui, or any transaction variant is recorded. I tried in my side, the tab is there.
    @ Murali, you are right, but in that tab, not only company code can be configured, but also business area, functional area etc.

  • Delete complete bank master data

    We uploaded the bank master data into our system. Sadly it was decided that we have to change the bank key. Now all the master data is set up wrong.
    Does someone knows, how to delete the data out of the system. Not only setting the deletion flag!

                 Please use FI06 to set deletion flag to bank master data, doing so system doesn't actually delete the record from the table, you need to run archiving to actually delete the record. Please refer to the following link

They are in the Specialized Retail Industry and have internal naming conventions and want to align more with Industry Standards.  Their process has 3 staging areas - 1st - Baseline Master Data, 2nd - Internal Enrichment, 3rd - Item Master Complete - item master is now ready to be used  to build offers.

    Hi Mir - thanks for taking time to respond.  I think my question might have been confusioning. Its process related.  The client starts creating their item master with a minimal amount of information required to create a PO- (stage1 - example status would be "Available to Procure") the master then gets enriched with more internal information such as classifications and attributes to be consumed by other business areas and down stream processes specific to their business - such as building an offer for Web or TV (stage2 - example status would be "Available to Build Offer").  Client is looking for advice on what to name Stage 1 and Stage 2 status  
    Any thoughts?

    We have one requirement.  One person will create the Master data (customer, vendor, masterial).  That information should go to other user and the seconde user will have to check the attributes of master data and will do necessary changes and approves it.  That information again should go to the first user.  If rejects also should go to the first user with reasons.
    Is it possible in SAP?  Any workarounds are available?  Please help me.

  • Master Data Load for New Attribute

    Hi Users,
    We had to implement a separate load flow for a new field coming from R3. This field was to be added to existing master data object.
    I added a new Display attribute for an existing 0GL_ACCOUNT master data object.
    This new attribute along with some other existing fields is getting data from another master data object with an infosource in between because two transformations cannot be created for same source and target.
    When i load the data i dont see data being populated for this new field. I did ACR, checked the keys e.t.c.
    Source object has data but after executing DTP no data comes to this attribute. No routines or anything.

    Hi,
    The situation is:
    Field x from source maps to
    1. field y ( which was existing field ) and also maps to
    2. field z which is the new attribute.
    field y has to get updated for company codes 10 for example.
    field z for company codes 30.
    now if i use same flow and map field x to both y and z then there is overwriting happening if 10 does not have value for x and 20 has then its not good.
    So if i use a separate flow with infosource then i will map only x to z so after loads which means for 10 code if no value went in first dtp to y then if code 30 has value for x then z will only be updated and y remains empty....
