BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 - quanity =0 when consumed& exposed as WSDL
Dear all,
Any help on this is greatly appreciated. We have developed a .NET application that will consumed the create order bapi web services that's being generated from WAS 6.20. ICM is set up and working properly. However, when we executed the .NET application, quantity related fields in all both structures (ORDER_ITEMS_IN and ORDER_SCHEDULES_IN) does not get posted correctly in the sales order as we have a zero value in those fields. And I did pass an "X" into the other 2 structures (ORDER_SCHEDULES_INX and ORDER_ITEMS_INX). I tested the same dataset in both SAP (se37) and a direct bapi call (with a Z RFC with BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT) in another .NET application, and they had been executed successfully. Everything was posted correctly in SAP.
So I activated the debugger in txn. SICF for SOAP RFC (/sap/bc/soap/rfc), and noticed the quantity value did not even get passed into the structures (ORDER_ITEMS_IN and ORDER_SCHEDULES_IN) when I am inside of the Z RFC. I tried to narrow down to the mapping of the body of the WSDL file within the SOAP SAP program, but it has been unsuccessful as I am not familiar with construct of the SOAP program. Any idea on what the SAP technical processing differences are between a web service call and a direct bapi call?
Any insights on this will be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks much and best regards,
Cyanna
Hi Rob,
Thanks for your response . I was thinking the same thought about the data type of quantity, but was refusing to change anything as I would think it should work the same way using web services. I gave in.... I modified my Z RFC in SAP to read the quantity as char and then convert it back to QUAN. And now the quanity is being pass into SAP successfully.
I think it's still very inconvenient to have to modify the standard BAPI in order to make the web service work.
Thanks for your help, Rob!
Cheers,
Cyanna

Hi,
I have created a WSDL from ID ( tools > define WS ) and I could able to fire Web service from Altova's XML SPY.
But when I try to fire the Web service from WSNavigator, it says
"Message Servlet is in Status OK
Status information:"
1. How do I expose the WSDL created through XI so that if I place the CC link in URL of the web page, it will pop up the WSDL ( in my local network, atleast)?

Nikhil.Hello Nikil,
Exposing Web Services as Callable Objects
Use
Web services are Web interfaces that are based on open and commonly accepted standards and can be integrated into a companys business scenarios. Using Web services enables you to combine functions implemented in different software components into a single process.
You can expose any web service as a callable object using Guided Procedures (GP) design time. The integration into the GP framework is done transparently by the system.
To expose the function module as a callable object, you must use the wizard that GP design time provides.
Currently Web Service callable objects support the following SOAP encoding styles:
§ SOAP Remote Procedure Call Literal encoding (SOAP RPC-literal)
§ SOAP document-style encoding, which is also known as message-style or document-literal encoding
Prerequisites
· You have created and configured a logical destination to access the required Web services.
See Configuring Logical Destinations for WS Callable Objects.
· You need to know a precise WSDL URL for internal or external Web services that do not require authentication.
Procedure
1. Open the gallery and choose Create Callable Object from the contextual panel.
2. Enter the required basic data as follows:
Parameter
Description
Type
Choose Service ® Web Service.
Name
Enter a name that is used to distinguish the callable object in the gallery. You are not required to use a unique name for the callable object.
Description
Describe the callable object by entering a brief description of its functions.
Original Language
Select the original language in which the callable object is being created.
Folder
Select the folder where the callable object is stored.
You can either use an existing folder, or create a new one.
3. To open the Define Object screen, choose Next.
You can choose one of the following options:
Option
Description
Configuration
Case 1: WDSL URL Select
WSDL URL
You use this option when you want to call internal or external Web services that do not require any security information.
If you are behind a proxy and you want to call an external service, then you should configure your proxy in the Visual Administrator, in the Web Service Container settings.
Enter a string that defines the WSDL URL and press ENTER.
Case 2: Logical Destination Select
Logical Destination
You use this option when you want to:
· Choose from a set of previously defined WSDL files
· Call Web services that need authentication.
· Call ABAP Web services.
To be able to choose a logical destination, you should have created one. For more information, see Configuring Logical Destinations for WS Callable Objects.
To open the configuration screen, choose Select.
a. From the Destination dropdown box, select a Web service destination.
b. You can search for logical destination interfaces by namespace or by pattern.
c. Choose Search.
The list with the logical destination interfaces appears below.
d. Select an interface.
e. To view details about the selected interface, set the Show Additional Info indicator on the right.
f. Choose Accept.
4. On the Web Service Properties screen, select one of the following:
○ A port from the Interface Port Name dropdown box
○ A logical destination (if any) from the Logical Destination Endpoint dropdown box.
5. From the list with the available interface operations, choose an operation.
The operation parameters are displayed in the right-hand part of the screen.
For each particular Web service, different operations are available, for example:
■ StartProcess is an operation defined for the GPProcessDiscoveryWSIL Web service. It creates an instance of a process template.
For more information, see Consuming the GPProcessDiscovery Web Services.
■ CompleteAction is defined for the GPActionDiscoveryWSIL Web service and completes a process step.
For more information, see Consuming the GPActionDiscoveryWSIL Web Service.
6. To open the Define Input screen, choose Next
The input parameters of the web service are automatically detected.
7. To open the Define Output screen, choose Next.
The output parameters of the web service are automatically detected
8. Choose Next, and then Finish and Open.
The callable object design time opens. You can edit the object definition here.
In case of a change in the definition of the Web service you have exposed, you can update the existing callable object through the GP design time. On the Object Definition tab page, choose Update to update input, output, configuration parameters, result states, and exceptions defined for the selected operation.
To check for parameter compatibility, choose Check.
9. To activate the object, choose (Activate).
Example
For an example of exposing a Web service as a callable object, see Importing a Web Service in Guided Procedures.

Problems with consuming SAP BW WSDL in Crystal Reports 2008
Hello,
I am trying to use the WSDL generated from the SAP BW in Crystal Reports 2008 using the XML and Web Services driver, but when I input the WSDL url Crystal does not interpret the url passed in as a WSDL url and the Services, Port and Method drop downs are blank.
If I manually input the values I get the error below from Crystal
"Logon failed.
Details: Web Service Location is invalid
WSDL Exception (at /wsdl:definitions/wsdl:portType/wsp:Policy): faultCode=INVALID_WSDL:Encountered unexpected element
'Policy'."
I know this is a valid WSDL as I have tested it with Xcelsius 2008 and I am able to get data back in Xcelsius. I found SAP note 1485601 that talks about Crystal Reports not being able to reading a WSDL generated by a SAP system.
https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap/support/notes/1485601
Based on the error message from Crystal above I feel that Crystal is unable to read the WSDL URL, has anyone else encountered this issue, if so is there a possible work around.
We are running Crystal Reports 2008 V1 SP3 FP 3 and the SAP Integration Kit is also on the same service pack and patch level.
Any help or insight into the issue will be very helpful.
Thanks,
KumarIngo,
I am using the "XML and Web Services" connection option in Crystal Reports, and using a HTTP WSDL.Here is a sample of how WSDL url generated by SAP BW.
http://servername:8000/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_DF6E553E117931F19C6B001560A1B616/wsdl11/allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=100
We have a two structure BW query (one for keyfigures and one as characteristic structure ), I know that this will cause the structure for the characteristics to show up as a single field and each element of the structure will result in a row of data, but we need the individual elements on the structure and we were hoping to get around the MDX driver limitation by using the web service connection.
The data in the Crystal Reports 2008 needs to be in a crosstab layout as shown below, but if we use the Crosstab expert the key figures are stacked one under the other and also we cannot get the labels from the KPI structure to show up on the Crystal Reports.
Characteristic Structure
Column1 Column2 Column3
Label 1 KeyFigure 1 KeyFigure 2 KeyFigure 3
Label 2 KeyFigure 1 KeyFigure 2 KeyFigure 3
Label 3 KeyFigure 1 KeyFigure 2 KeyFigure 3
This layout is already built in a Web Template and therefore we were planning on using the WSDL to get the layout directly into Crystal report, but I keep running into the WSDL error when I try to consume the WSDL in Crystal.
Thanks,
Kumar -

'Unable to find operation: null' Error When I invoke Composite Wsdl Url
Hi ,
I have created one composite application which consists one BPEL process.That BPEL process takes input from other application.
But When I invoke that Wsdl Url to push the data from my application to that Wsdl Url,It is giving below error(System fault):
'Unable to find operation: null' .
I am getting below message in enterprise manager console (http://ipaddress:port/em):
'Composite instances are not generated for rejected messages. Click the error message for details'.
Note: When u click on 'unable to find operation: null' link it is showing the soap request that we submitted to composite URL.
Instance ID is also not created.
Can anybody help me regarding this issue?As you are able to test the Composite in the EM console and the correct operation, everything looks fine from SOA side.
Now whatever application from which you are trying to push the data, make sure while configuring the WSDL of the Composite, please check whether you can select the operation of the SOA Composite over there. I think you are leaving the default option which is null or not selecting the required operation over there.
Hope this helps

Error when trying to Display WSDL for Sender Agreement
Hi,
I'm getting an error when trying to display WSDL for a sender agreement. The error message is as follows:
Adapter Engine af.xxx.yyy for communication channel not registered in SLD Unable to find the SLD element (SAP_XIAdapterFramework, [CreationClassName, SAP_XIAdapterFramework, string, Name, af.xxx.yyy, string], [AdapterType, SOAP, string])
The SOAP adapter being used is from the non-central AE. I I immediately checked for inconsistent SLD components per note 746176 but everything is in order there. I tried re-registering manually the non-central AE manually as well.
Anyone else ever had the same error? Any hints much appreciated!Hi Luqman,
go to the sender channel and replace the Adapter Type.
Select the type as SOAP from SWCV SAP BASIS 7.xx or SAP BASIS 3.0
The channel is referring to a swcv which is not present in esr.
As you might know, the adapter metadata is fetched from ESR/IR, so if the SWCV containing the metadata inside namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System etc, is not available then it will throw error.
If you do not want to change the Adapter Type in the channel, import the swcv from SLD to ESR and create/import the respective adapter metadata.
Should resolve your issue.
Cheers!

WindowServer crash randomly when engaging Expose
2011 iMac, 32GB RAM, latest Mavericks.
Since updating to Mavericks a couple weeks ago, I have had random crashes when engaging expose. It's generally not deliberate, but as I use a Magic Trackpad, my fingertips often brush the surface calling up Expose when I don't mean to. Sometimes - like maybe every 10th time this happens or so, my machine just crashes. No system reboot chime, just crashes and reboots. At least I think it reboots... it might actually be a logout, I'm not sure. But it's definitely a crash as my apps on starting back up again, recognize the crash state (like Excel, Firefox, etc.) and offer to try and recover from it. I also get crash logs like the one included below. Anyone have any idea why this keeps happening?
This may not be Mavericks' fault, I got the TrackPad at the same time and prior to that, I never ever used Expose because there was zero chance of accidentally engaging it.
Crash report follows...

1.8GThis just happened again. I paid very close attention this time, and can say definitively that there was no hardware reboot involved. My base system was "back" again within 10 seconds tops, and my apps began launching themselves again. All of my system addons were missing and also relaunched. It behaves much more like a logout, but is definitely a crash. Both Firefox and Excel recognize that they are recovering from a crashed state, and there is also the matter of crash logs on the system. Here is the latest of those... I would love it if someone could shed some light on this, it's seriously irritating.

Proxy error when consuming External Web Service (WSDL) in ABAP
Hi all,
I am trying to consume an external WS in ABAP but I have some issues :
1. Is it allows to use tag <xsd:complexcontent> with restrictions and extensions in it ? If not, how can I replace it ?
2. Do we need to still change the <complexType> structure such as :
Coding, not working:
<xsd:complexType name="OrderRequestMsg">
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="shop" type="xsd:string"/>
u2026
</xsd:sequence>
</xsd:complexType>
<message name="OrderRequest">
<part name="input" type=" tns:OrderRequestMsg"/>
</message>
Coding, working::
<xsd:element name="OrderRequestMsg">
<xsd:complexType>
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="shop" type="xsd:string"/>
</xsd:sequence>
</xsd:complexType>
</xsd:element>
<message name="OrderRequest">
<part name="input" element="tns:OrderRequestMsg"/>
</message>
3. When I am testing the WSDL they send me in SOAPUI, I don't have any issue but when I am trying to integrate in ABAP, it is blocking on an URL saying it cannot find it (the URL http://fk.se/SHS/xsd/tanden)
<xsd:schema version="20110317" targetNamespace="http://fk.se/SHS/xsd/tanden" xmlns:tns="http://fk.se/SHS/xsd/tanden" xmlns:xmime="http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
Do I need to change something ? Since when I am modifying it, it cannot find the type reference afterwards...
Thanks in advance for your answer.Hy Brad, I got the same error by trying to generate a 'Consumer Proxy' from a external WSDL. u2019Incorrect value: XSD name space not available'. I have solved it in this way: The report RSSIDL_DESERIALIZE_DEMO has the same check routines as the R3-Proxy Generator. I debugged this report using a saved external WSDL and compared it with using a saved WSDL (Server) generated under /nse80.
-> In the WSDL, in part message the "type" isnu2019t allowed, because the dezerialization is done already.
Coding, not working:

Error target namespace must be absolute URI when consuming external WSDL
Hi,
I'm trying to consume external WSDL which has relative target namespace.
Through SE80 transaction I select Create -> Enterprise Server -> Service Consumer.
I have tried with URL and local file options but the result is the following in both cases:
At the en of the wizard I receive the errors "exception in Error-Handler" and "Error target namespace must be absolute URI".
I'm on ECC 6.0 SP 18.
Anybody knows how to solve this problem? Maybe is not possible to consume external WSDL with relative URI?
Thanks
RegardsHi,
I think the problem is that the WSDL is not WS-I compliant.
I have found note 1327511 (Limiations and common problems in ABAP WSDL processing) and with the report RSSIDL_DESERIALIZE_DEMOI have found the same error.
Anybody can confirm this?
Is there any other document or reference where SAP indicates this fact?
Thanks

Hi,
Requirement : We are trying to integrate the timesheet(time Administartion->Time Sheet) with external sheet
We had downloaded the WSDL (i.e. Manage Employee Time data) from communication arrangment.
when we try to process the same we are facing the error as mentioned in attachment.
can anyone help me on the same
Regards,
PrasadHi Prasad,
if you are testing Cloud WSDL via SOAP UI and any error you can check into Application and User Management --> Business Communication Monitoring --> and from drop down select "Reject Web Service Call" option to know more about your error.
as per you error i thing if Work Assignment 1 is not available or may be leading zero problem, i don't know but you can check the error log into the cloud may be its helpful to you.

Basic http authentication not working when consuming Web Service in BPEL.
Hi,
I am consuming an AXIS Web Service from BPEL 10.1.3. The Web Service uses basic http
authentication so we need a way to get username and password into the http
header. In the Oracle BPEL Process Manager Administrator's Guide 10g
(10.1.3.1.0) section 1.3.4.1 HTTP Basic Authentication (10.1.2.0.2) is stated
that this can be done using the properties httpUsername and httpPassword. I
have set the 2 for the partner link in bpel.xml but username and password does
not get in to the http header. Has anybody got an idea?
Regards PeteI'm having the same sorts of problems with 10.1.3.1.0. I've got a deployed BPEL suitcase that's trying to hit a BASIC AUTH-secured web service running on a WebLogic 8.1 server. I've set up my partner link according to the documentation, and the BPEL console Descriptor tab even shows the parameters correctly:
partnerLinkBindings
client
wsdlLocation awardService.wsdl
spsAwardSubmitPartnerLink
basicHeaders credentials
basicUsername ko1
basicPassword xxxxx
wsdlLocation IAwardDraftServiceRef1.wsdl
However, when I funnel the resultant call to the endpoint specified in IAwardDraftServiceRef1.wsdl, none of the fields I would expect show up in the HTTP header:
POST /pd2WebServices/service/IAwardDraftService HTTP/1.1
Host: vm-orcl-app-srv:4444
Connection: Keep-Alive, TE
TE: trailers, deflate, gzip, compress
User-Agent: Oracle HTTPClient Version 10h
SOAPAction: ""
Accept-Encoding: gzip, x-gzip, compress, x-compress
Content-type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8
Content-length: 3800
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"><env:Body><IAwardDraftSubmitNew xmlns="http://www.caci.com/pd2/pub">
<IAwardDraft>
<accessController/>
<agreementEndDate/>
Is there some other configuration piece I'm missing?? I've tried the other variation using httpBasicHeaders, with the same results. I even noted that the "Oracle® BPEL Process Manager Administrator's Guide" says that "Starting with Oracle BPEL Process Manager release 10.1.3, all partner link properties are automatically propagated into the HTTP header." I've tried putting "extra" parms in the partner link bindings, but they don't show up either.
What am I missing??
Thanks,
Mike -
Error when Consuming a WS from an ABAP program
Hello,
I am getting an error when I try to consume a WS from my ABAP program. The error states ' Unexpected element -el=definitions ns=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/' and the code is SOAP: 14
This should be a simple call to a WS from BOBJ. I have searched OSS and SDN and I can't find any help. We are using 7.01 SP3
Actually I watched the blog by Thomas Jung to get me started and thing went well except forthe part where I was supposed to create the logical port via SOAMANAGER. I got this error 'Error: Initial value "context operation table" in methodDELETE_INVALID_INTERFACE_NODES of class CL_SRT_WSP_CONFIG_SIDL' so I used LPCONFIG instead and them SM59.
Has anyone encountered something like this?
Thanks!
RichOk so I got the bright idea of putting an external breakpoint in the DELETE_INVALID_INTERFACE_NODES method of class CL_SRT_WSP_CONFIG_SIDL and interestingly I think I am on to something. The code that is throwing an expection is srt_wsp_error_is_initial lt_operations[] 'context operation table'. "#EC NOTEXT at approximentally line 89.
So I am doing my amateur sleuthing in the debugger and it leads me to the WSDL and what looks like a missing operation for a port type. I say this b/c all the port type /port type tags have operation/operation tags embedded within them. simliar to this
<portType name="Real-time_Services" />
- <portType name="Batch_Jobs">
- <operation name="Oracle">
<input message="tns:Oracle_Input" />
<output message="tns:Oracle_Output" />
</operation>
</portType>
- <portType name="Realtime_Service_Admin">
- <operation name="Get_RTService_List">
<input message="tns:Get_RTService_List_Input" />
<output message="tns:Get_RTService_List_Output" />
</operation>
- <operation name="Run_Realtime_Service">
<input message="tns:Run_Realtime_Service_Input" />
<output message="tns:Run_Realtime_Service_Output" />
</operation>
- <operation name="Get_RTMsg_Format">
<input message="tns:Get_RTMsg_Format_Input" />
<output message="tns:Get_RTMsg_Format_Output" />
</operation>
</portType>
Note the first port type = Real-time_services doesn't have an end port tag and in the debugger my ABAP is shortdumping when trying to proess this port type
I think I found my error. Can anyone who has seen this before verify this for me before I give the WSDL creator heck
Thanks

Problem when invoke the Webservice WSDL
Hi ,
Use case :
I have two applications (Webservices) A and B.They have their own WSDL urls.
From A ---> request format at A ---->Transform that into B request format----->forward that(request) to B request --- > get B response -----> tranfrom that into A response format ----> A response
First part of usecase:
I need to send the request from A to B.But both A and B has different request and response schemas(they will have similar kind of fileds but their naming convention will be different.That is why transformation is required in jdeveloper)
I have developed a composite which has one BPEL process as component.
I am placing the A webservice as "exposed Service" swimlane and B webservice in 'external reference'.BPEL process is in component swimlane.
I deployed that Composite which has above BPEL Process(Takes input from one wsdl url and transforms that request format to (another) webservice request format as explained above) which tries to invoke(send request to) the another webservice Wsdl.
When I test that composite (That WSDL url),I am getting service invokation exception.

I am getting "Webservice invokation failed" message and above exception.
I am using some proxy server to access internet in my company. It is telling(If u see above exception u will be able to see) the below info in some part of exception.
javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 401 Unauthorized at oracle.sysman.emas.model.wsmgt.WSTestModel.invokeOperation(WSTestModel.java:575) at
Is there any problem with authentication to that wsdl url?
I think u can understand my problem by looking at above clearly explained content.
Hope u guys will help me out in this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Hope I will receive response as soon as possible as it is very critical at this point.
ThanksHi,
Some part is requiring authentication, either the proxy or the web service provider. First thing is to determine which of them.
Are you able to call B via SOAP-UI? Are you passing authentication in SOAP-UI? If not the problem is in you proxy server.
Check 401 error here:

Cheers,
Vlad

How to reference complex data type when consuming web services in WAS 620?
In WAS 620, I tried to consume a web service in ABAP. I was successful when the web service returned one or more simple data type. But when the web service is changed to return a complex data type (eg. a structure with 3 elements), the call to the web service did not return anything.
Do any of you know how to reference the individual element in the structure of an output parameter in a web service? I use the add_parameter method of the CSoapDocument class to identify the output parameters.
Here is part of the WSDL file:

How to consume 3rd Party WSDL which contains the Include statement
I have a 3rd Party WSDL I am trying to consume using the BizTalk WCF Consume Wizard.
When I try and consume the WSDL it gives me blank XSDs and Binding files. It does produce the Port Types in an Orchestration.
This
article mentions how to use the svcutil tool to get around the use of Import statements but does not give the full command. I have tried svcutil /t:metadata <Path of WSDL> but get an error stating can't load file or assembly.
Any ideas anyone?Hi,
