Basic XI 3.0 to R/3 4.6c connectivity question

Greetings XI gurus,
I'm trying to setup & use a connection to an R/3 4.6c server from XI 3.0 to be used to call over & run one or more RFC's. I've created regular R/3 SM59 settings in both for a connection between the 4.6c server and the XI box.
However, in the system landscape, when I try to create a technical system, I have trouble on the last screen where you select the product. I try to use "SAP R/3 4.6c" and it says that there are no components found for that product.
1) Does anyone know what component it is looking for?
2) How do I import that component?

I'll have to get authorization for the RZ70.
One of the members of our BASIS team has contacted a seemingly experienced old collegue who claims to know how to do this.

Transporter - Basic installation and connection questions

We have never used or installed the Transporter before. We are currently using Tidal 5.3x and are upgrading a sandbox environment to 6.2. I have looked at all the transporter documentation I can find and am still missing some very basic questions - plus I cannot get the "help" option in transporter to work.
WHERE do you install the Transporter and why? CM Server? Master Server? Desktop? If it is on a server, then does the user that runs it need to remote the server in order to user transporter?
I have attempted to install on each of the above, but cannot establish a connection. When I click "test" I get error "Failed to Connect [Login failure with responseCode [404]]What should I be entering in each of the following Connections fields? My comments indicate what I have assumed/attempted to enter and received the error above.
Connection name - just a given name to a connection? aka TESSandboxMaster
Server Name - what server? master? Is there a specific format this needs to be in?
DSP/Plug in name - I found a dsp file on my CM Server named TES-6.0.dsp - should I put TES-6.0 here?
User - network user that is a Super user in Tidal? aka networkname\superuser?
pwd - windows pwd for that user?

1. The Transporter is installed on the Client Manager - the CM is essentially a web server to handle client requests, perform sacmd commands, and utility for transporting jobs from one environment to another. A Tidal user would have to be granted rights to Move Jobs to Production, and I believe Tidal user has to be able to sign on to the CM as well.
2. I've reviewed an older copy of the transporter user guide 6.1 provides instructions on how to complete those fields:
To create a connection: (on page 32)
In the Connection Name field, enter the name for the connection file.
In the Server Name field, enter the name of the Client Manager machine.
In the DSP/Plugin Name field, enter the master instance name.
The master instance name is the TES DSP or Plugin name. This is displayed from the Web UI in the Master Status pane.
In the Server Port field, enter the listening Web Service port used by the Tidal Web Client. The default is 8080 for non-secured connections and 8443 for secured connections.
In the User and Password fields, enter a valid Enterprise Scheduler user name and password.
Select the Secure HTTP option if you want to connect securely through the HTTPS protocol.
This option is enabled only if Transporter has been configured for secure
connections. Figure 8 is an example of Transporter not configured for secure
connections.

Basic setup for Cisco RV325 router

I am having problem with the basic setup of RV325 router.
Example:
STEP 1 Connect a PC to a numbered LAN port on the device. If the PC is configured to
become a DHCP client, an IP address in the 192.168.1.x range is assigned to the
PC.
Which LAN port does it meant?
I tried the router connection on different LAN ports to a PC but the browser would not launch anything at 192.168.1.1.
Can anyone help?

Hello,
It sounds like you are trying to access the web interface of your router so you can configure it. First of all, I'll go over the ports of the router with you.
The last port of each row (on the right side) of the device is for the WAN (Wide Area Network) that's designated for where you connect to your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Most likely, you will connect your modem to one of those ports. Any ports to the left of those are your LAN ports (Local) where you can connect your PC.
Once you connect to one of those ports, your PC should get an IP address. If you are unable to get to the web interface of the router, you will want to confirm your IP address and default gateway (which is the IP address of the router).
This can be done in Windows by:
Select Start > Run. Type command or CMD into the dialog box, then click OK.
In the resulting command line window, type ipconfig.
C:\>ipconfig
You will see something similar to this resulting output:

This will give you 3 key pieces of information you will want to verify. First, you want to see that your network adapter is set to DHCP. It should say yes next to it. Second, your IP address needs start with 192.168.1.x
In this example, it is 192.168.1.10, which is fine.
Lastly, your default gateway should be preset to 192.168.1.1. If it is not, write that number down and try to access that IP address in your browser.
Note: If your browser is just coming up blank, you may want to try a different browser.
Hopefully you'll be able to get into your router at this point. If not, please provide the output of your IP config statement so we can further troubleshoot your issue.

Basic: playing music stored on computer through stereo

At last, I want to play music stored on my Mac Mini through our home stereo, wirelessly if possible. We have an old snow ABS, but the Mini has an Airport Extreme card. The stereo is within 15 feet of the Mini, though a cable run would be a pain. Could we buy an Airport Express to plug into the stereo? Will the card in the Mini send directly to the Express, or does the old Airport Base Station need to be involved? Note: the Mini connects to the old ABS via ethernet; the ABS just enables other computers around the house to connect.
Finally, if just buying an APExpress will do it, will the sound quality be excellent (equal to a proper wired connection)? If there's a good basic guide somewhere on this site that would answer these questions, feel free to refer me there. Thanks.

Since your snow ABS is currently providing a wireless network you could simply configure the AirPort Express (AX) to join that wireless network as a wireless client. The AX's music streaming would then be available to all the snow's clients including the Mac mini (even though it is connected via Ethernet).

Oracle SQL Developer Installation Help (Basics?)

So im taking a class (student here, totally new to this) in Oracle SQL right now and trying to download the Oracle SQL Developer tool onto my desktop (v 2.1.1).
Im just starting up Oracle SQL Developer and its asking, or I am looking to create a connection.
I was wondering if anyone had a tutorial for how to make a connection?
I only have Oracle SQL developer installed on my machine right now, nothing else. I dont have a server or anything, and just wanted to run this on my desktop local machine to practice running some SQL.
Is there anything else i need to install?
Is there some basic username and password that would allow me to connect to my local machine?
What values do i need for the hostname, port and SID etc?
Any help for a new student to Oracle would be greatly appreciated.

You'd need a database to connect the SQL Developer client to.
The easiest / quickest if you're a student would be the Express Edition.

Your hostname will then be 127.0.0.1, SID will be XE .... username and password will depend on what you choose when you're installing (you should get prompted for SYS/SYSTEM passwords).

NWA Basic Config Error

I'm getting this error while trying to execute the template 3: NWA System: Basic configuration, from Netweaver administrator (2004s SP16):
Creating a connection to the SLD Import not successful Element 'SAPConfigLib.J2E.Unclassified.createSLDconnection':ClassLoader not found sap.com/tclmctcutilbasic_ear
The same occurs if I try to execute 1: SLD system: Configure and activate SLD.
The SLD is up and running in http://localhost:50200/sld .

Code Purple is a problem exclusive to HP's, the easiest solution is to avoid them. However, it's already too late for you as it was for me. Basically it's an attempt to force you to pay them to service or upgrade your PC, or if you didn't learn the first time, buy another. Here is the most concise answer I found, tried to translate into plain english.

With the code purple error on the screen, press shift+f10 (the shift key and the F10 key (at the top of the keyboard) at the same time) to open a little screen called a command prompt. (So, you get a little black screen with white text that says something about your Windows verison first and a little ways down you'll see "C:\>". It's all ready for you to start typing.)
Type the following line, just as you see it here...
notepad C:\hp\bin\checkdmi\checkdmi.cmd
so it will look like this
C:\>notepad C:\hp\bin\checkdmi\checkdmi.cmd
Press Enter.
You will see the text for the file listed in a window using a simple text editor.
Go to the beginning of the text. Press enter to make a space. Type this...

Basic 1st steps for Actionscripts

So, I'm wondering what the basic 1st steps are for
Actionscripts in Flash applications? Being new and making no
assumptions, I'd say that the file starts with Frame1 of the main
timeline. Does that actionscript ever get 'processed' or 'run'
again? Or do you need everything else to be in 'functions' and
event driven by using listeners?
Can someone clue me in to more of an overall flash way of
programming?
Some questions are:
- If there is code in frame1 of the 'actions' layer, and
code in frame1 of 'mylayer' (both on the main stage), does one run
before the other? If so, based on what? Which one is on top?
- Also, I've tried a 'GotoandPlay' command from my initial
actionscript in Frame1 of 'actions' layer, but since it's outside
of a function it only seems to advance the frame of the object to
the proper frame lablel. But it doesn't run from that point on. So
what's the thinking here?

Action script is loaded top down, you can see this by putting
2 layers in your file and adding a line of AS to each layer
on layer 1 put trace("layer 1")
on layer 2 put trace("layer 2")
control - enter to preview the movie and you will see in the
output that the layer 1 text is traced before the layer 2 text.
AS3 application development has moved more towards using
external AS in packages and classes that load from .as files
although you can still do your AS in frames of the actual FLA if
thats what you are used to/prefer.
target.gotoAndStop() will advance to the targets frame
specified by number or label and then stop
target.gotoAndPlay() will advance to the targets frame
specified by number or label and then play from that point
so if you are on the main time line and want to go play
starting at the 5th frame of the main timeline you can just say
gotoAndPlay(5);
and if you have a movieclip on the main timeline with the
instance name "movie1" you can tell it to go play it's 5th frame by
saying
movie1.gotoAndPlay(5);
and if you are inside movie1 and want to tell the main
timeline to go to and play at the 5th frame you can say
root.gotoAndPlay(5);
Best thing I can suggest if starting to work through some
tutorials...there are a bunch in flash, and lots more on the web.
Get to know the basics then come back here when you have some
specific questions about getting someting to work. Hlepful in that
case if you can post your code :)

Cannot Download Logic Pro 9 Basic Content

Hey there!
I reformatted my Mac for a clean install and then installed Logic Pro 9 which I had already purchased. After the installation when I launched the program it started dowloading the "Basic Content" which is around 2GB. My interent connection was fine but it said "Logic could not complete the download" or something to that effect. What on earth is wrong?? :?

That sounds like either....
You have a corrupted image... so try downloading again
or..
Something else you have installed on your Mac is interfering with the installation process in some manner. Do you have any 'so called' Anti Virus software running for example.. or an uninstall tracker maybe? If so disable or uninstall such things and try installing again..
Finally...
Remember to make sure that Logic Pro is NOT running when you install extra content...

Basic phone obsolete?

Hello everyone. My elderly parents are in the market for a basic phone. My question is once Verizon converts their network to 4G, will these phones even work? I live in the smartphone world and it's been awhile since I've held a basic feature phone. So this might be a stupid question.... :)

Hello - If you're familiar with the Verizon basic phones - which ones can be used to tether as a modem though Bluetooth AND cable to a laptop? (It appears to me that they are offering only complete antiquated plastic featureless junk to push people to go with a smartphone requiring a data plan if purchased - but are any available with tethering capabilities?) Even the reviews show MOST of the reviews for nearly every phone there users reccomend AGAINST buying?
I believe there are a HUGE selection of about 5 or 6 options to pick from - including the lg revere that boasts an incredibly avanced 1.3 mp camera and you can send a text message easily just by pressing keys numerous times to select letters individually until a word is created - but can the piece of plastic be tethered? Can any of the others shown?
