Hi enhoel20
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
Before Updating /Reloading I prefer you should note why our device may get warm ,Some time our BlackBerry devices may feel warm say a long browsing session , playing games ,countinous download or while charging. Please press and hold the Menu for a few seconds, it will pop up a screen which will show all running programs in the background ,generally five will always there ( Home, BBM, Message,Phone , Browser ) look if any other apps. are running.
Always try to Close Applications Correctly - Avoid using the End key to close applications as this simply minimizes the application and leaves it running in the background. Instead, press the Menu key, select the Close or Exit option to exit the application.Don't leave your Browser open on any active web page when not in use.If programs run in the background it will also lead to overheating and also quick battery drainage. Please have a look at those Article I am sure it will help you a lot in overcoming your problems :

  • Battery life and Heating up problems

After updating to mavericks , it seems that my macbook pro is always heated and the battery life got shorter even if I'm not using any app... anyone could help me ?

    Hello Jeskar,
    It sounds like you are seeing a decrease in battery life after upgrading to Mavericks. I would start by resetting the computers SMC, and evaluating the issue for a bit to see how that worked;
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
You may also have to use the Activity monitor to see if you have any run away applications.
OS X Mavericks: About the Battery Status Menu
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5873
When one or more apps consume higher than average energy from the battery, the menu shows "Apps Using Significant Energy" with a corresponding list of those applications.
Some apps may use significant energy depending on what they are doing. This is normal. For example, if you are compressing video in iMovie, or playing a graphics-intensive game, the app may use a higher amount of energy than other apps. If you are trying to conserve battery power, quit apps listed in the significant energy section.
If you suspect that an app is appearing in the significant energy section because it is not functioning properly, try quitting and re-opening that app. If the symptom continues, open Activity Monitor from the Utilities folder to troubleshoot further. The Energy tab of Activity Monitor displays the Energy Impact of each open app based on a number of factors including CPU usage, network traffic, disk activity and more. The higher the number, the more impact an app has on battery power.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Battery icon always charging

Since the update I find that whenever I've got my MacBook connected to power the battery icon always contains the lightning bolt indicating charging, even when the battery itself reads 100% and the details indicate that it is fully charged. It never switches to a plug icon or some other indication that we're on power but not actively charging. Is this correct behavior?
    Mid-2014 15" Retina MBP i7

    Hi Kraonn,
Same here, it didn't occur to me that this wan't correct behaviour, I just assumed it was an icon change for the worse!  But you might be right, perhaps it is indicating charging and perhaps it should switch to the plug?  My battery is fully charged (2009 MBP) yet I've still got the lightning bolt - which I don't like!  I guess we could do a g. search for Yosemite images and see what others have...
I'm really loving Yosemite, it feels clean and fresh, the only 2 things I don't like are:
    1.  The lightning bolt battery indicator!
    2.  The red iTunes icon.

  • Bluetooth device battery levels always read 100%

It's a known bug. (It may suddenly drop down.) Wasn't always like this.Appeared in one of the OS updates. Get Mighty Monitor

  • Battery Possibly over-heating

I think my computer may use more battery power than normal as it heats up to an abnormally hot temperature when my computer is in use.
I have a macbook 10.8.5 (late 2007 version) and had to replace my battery in January because it stopped charging and now it keeps heating up. I'm not sure if this is related, but the fan (i think from my hard drive?) runs really fast to the point where I can hear it very loudly when my battery is really hot as well.
I am now living in Seoul, South Korea and ended up having to buy a new charger for my computer this summer as well. My father bought the charger for me and it is not the traditional version of the magnetic charger that came with my macbook originally but is a silver thinner version and I'm not sure if maybe I have the wrong charger and thus my battery is overheating...
Also, my computer tends to restart when I open media things like the visualizer, youtube, any video stuff that's on the internet in full screen and just now the screen went grey with a power symbol in the middle telling me that i needed to restart my computer.
What the **** is going on?! What can I do? I need this computer for atleast 9 more months as I need it to work while I'm here in Korea. There aren't any Apple stores here, just Apple resellers called "Frisbee" and I want someone to tell me what's going on, what i need to do, and to possibly help me fix the problem...what can i do and where can i go for help?
Thank you for any help you cna give!

I actually didn't have all processes showing and with that everything was very low, including itunes and firefox. However, I had something called Console open while I did this and I noticed it was on 98 CPU...does this help at all?
I have copied and pasted the kernal panic information below...thank you so much for your help again!

  • Battery draining/over heating issues - 925

    hi all,
ive had this issue for a while now but havnt moaned about it until now but ive just had enough of this constant issue and want some help
i have the lumia 925 and have the above simptons, i have the lumia amber update and have disabled every setting and background app the only thing i have enabled and running in the backround are -
touch display is turned on (double tap to wake)
on my home screen i have the apps -  Photos, Battery,  Bing news, The Weather Chanel, set as live tiles
the backround apps i have running are -  Battery, Bing News, Facebook and whatsapp
apart from that all other settings are disabled or off
i can disable bing news if have to but i dont think this is the issue here as before i was having the exact problem
one time i noticed a 30% decrease in battery, not to mention the battery got really hot in hand

    Hey Robert,
If it's anything like my 920, sometimes it gets caught in a CRAZY battery drain cycle. Sometimes it may get hot, sometimes not, but I always make sure that my GPS is working correctly. A lot of times it's not, and I need to reset the phone by either turning it off or holding down the power and volume down buttons.
Especially check any apps that you may have downloaded that may be using GPS. Also, if you do the power + volume down, always turn your phone off again the normal slide down way afterwards or your live tiles won't update correctly.

  • Battery problem & Device heating

My device BB Curve 9360 one month old is having battery charge problem.I cant even use it for half a day.It will dry out within 5 hrs and also the mob is getting heated while using like...reading messages, while talking for some time. Some has asked me to download version 7.1 the latest one then it wil be ok.It did it and its the same,
    Is there any other soluation

    Hi sajuabt25
    Welcome
Our devices feel  warm while Charging or application that require higher performance of the processor, such as lengthy browsing sessions, downloading multiple consecutive updates, playing games, or running applications for an extended period in the background without closing them through the menu.
KB31531 : The BlackBerry 7 smartphone may feel warm during use.
It seems you had already updated your device software but if you really think that the device is getting very warm than expected or even without running application than I think to rule out any device hardware problem Visit your Carrier to know then about this issue and if possible ask or a replacement.

  • Battery life and heating uo

I have a z 10 and just did the 2.1.2941 upgrade and since then my battery life goes from fully charged to dead in a matter of 2 hours. I don't have any apps running either. Also my phone now is super warm. This happened to me not the last update but the one before that. Can someone please help!!!!!

Try removing all of your accounts in Settings >Accounts.  Reboot the device and see if the heating continues.  If that solves it then add your accounts back one by one.
If it doesn't solve it you'll need to do a Security Wipe of the device.
To perform a Security Wipe please follow the instructions below. Be sure and use BB Link to make a full backup before proceeding with the wipe:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB33591
To prevent the same issue from happening again I recommend NOT restoring the Settings portion of the backup.
    1. Please thank those who help you by clicking the "Like" button at the bottom of the post that helped you.
    2. If your issue has been solved, please resolve it by marking the post "Solution?" which solved it for you!

  • Apple wireless keyboard, no battery logo always blinking

    Hello,
I just got my battery changed for my apple wireless keyboard. Even if i replace the battery again, the issue start again.
The not battery logo is always blinking every 5 seconds which is terribly disturbing.
What could be the issue about it ?
    Thx for your reply.
    PS : i use windows 7

I don't know about the Wireless Keyboard, but Apple's Magic Trackpad (MT) is amazingly inaccurate in telling the computer how much power is left. I have a mid 2010 iMac (27", 3.6 GHz i5, 10.10.1). About a week ago, my the iMac reported that the MT had a low battery. Usually, I tend to change the battery when this happens. This time, I decided to just keep on going. Well, it's been more than a week now, and the MT is working fine. The battery charge has been gradually dropping (sort of), and now reads 8%. One day it even went to 40%, but then it dropped back to 9. I don't think this has anything to do with Yosemite, since I had been noticing that the battery life on my MT seemed awfully short, lasting less than 2 weeks on Apple's rechargeable batteries. This has been the case from 10.6 through 10.10.

  • Express discharge of the battery with huge heat(61...

I have a problem since previous week. I bought a 6110 in July 2007 and no problem up to now.
But last Saturday, twenty minutes after using the GPS in the car( with a power adapter), I noticed that the battery passed from full to empty. The smartphone was really hot. No software was switched on (GPS off). So, I switched off the mobile and charged it again. I hoped that problem was due to a sporadic bug and that it would never happen again.
But this night, same problem. The battery was full yesterday evening and this morning the 6110 was switched off, battery totally empty. I guess the same problem has occured.
As in the past I have worked in the electronic industry, I know that the lifetime enemy number 1 is such peak of heat, so I am worried about this problem.
Has anyone encountered the same problem?
Thanks for bringing me some clarifications.

Yes - the same thing happened to my wife's 6110 Navigator last week. I used it again today and it hasn't happened again, so I'm hoping it was just a one off.

  • MacBook Pro Battery cause of Heat?

I was at the local Future Shop and noticed they had an pre-speed-bump MBP on display that had the battery removed and was plugged into the AC. I noticed that this reduced the heat quite substantially. I would test this at home but I returned my MBP two weeks ago due to some dead pixels and I am waiting before I purchase another one.
Anyone have a similar experience? (albeit removing the battery defeats the purpose of a portable machine)...
    Love,
    O.

    Also, it's
not recommended to do this as you can break the
processor. It's not meant to run at those speeds for
    prolong periods of time
Core Duo CPUs are designed to operate between 1000 MHz to whatever the maximum that CPU supports. Nothing will break, and if anything, the CPU would probably last longer. However, due to reduced performance, it's not a good idea anyway.
The reason they remove the batteries is so the enterprising individuals don't walk away with them.

  • Bluetooth battery icon always half full

I just bought a pair of new bluetooth headphones (Philips M1BT). When I pair them to my iPhone they work fine, but the little battery icon next to the bluetooth symbol in the status bar always shows half full, even when the headphones say they are fully charged. Has anyone else had this problem? Does this mean my headphones have a faulty battery or is the icon just showing an inaccurate level?

Thanks for getting back to me. I think the feature is only supported by some bluetooth devices. Take a look at the second screenshot on this page to see what I'm talking about:
    http://www.gottabemobile.com/2014/01/01/what-do-iphone-symbols-mean-in-ios-7/

  • Ipad 2 battery doctor always have to boost memory?

Everytime I go to the battery doctor, it says that the memory is low and at 93%.  The blue bar(System)is always the highest on the graph.  This happens after I go to safari or anywhere else then back to the battery doctor. Same result.

Despite what Battery Doctor thinks, this is not a problem:
    http://www.howtogeek.com/204552/no-closing-background-apps-on-your-iphone-or-ipa d-wont-make-it-faster/
Getting rid of apps like Battery Doctor will free up space on your device and stop making you worry about things that are not a problem.

  • TiBook battery got unusual heat and melted it's casing..should i call support?

    Hi Everyone,
I am new to this community and I need some opinions.
I have Ti Powerbook G4 (550Mhz) I bought brand new 10 or 11 years ago.
I still in love with this Titanium beauty and still use this for browsing internet.
(Amazingly, it still works just fine to do)
I bought macbook air few month ago but there is "something" about this
    Titanium baby.
Anyway, I was using my Tibook few days ago on my lap and I felt
unusual heat (it was very very hot) on my lap. I flipped it and check out
the buttom of my Tibook and WOW, the battery casing was started to melting,
so I just took the battery out of my Tibook.
The battery casing melted a bit (looks like cigarette burn from inside) so I am keeping this
battery in safe place just incase it caught fire.
This battery is not aftermarket, this is original battery came with my Tibook when I bought it
    brand new.
I googled this problem and I didnt find any battery problem with Tibook 550mhz model.
Should I report this problem to customer support? Does Apple still sell genuine battery for this Tibook?
This is my first battery problem and after this happening, I am very scared to buy thirdparty's

I wouldn't bother customer support.  The fact that you got a decade or more out of the battery makes it an outlier in longevity.  Not a lot of those batteries make it that far, though some seem to be remarkably blessed.  One of mine tanked in three and a half years (without melting, at least), one is remarkably robust and one is still quite serviceable at eight years, and the two aftermarket batteries are still holding up (though one is only a year old or so).
I got the 75 Watt-Hour model for the TiBooks at OWC last year and it is quite durable.  Apple hasn't sourced Titanium PowerBook batteries for years, I suspect they were "off the shelves" by 2006, as that was when I bought my first aftermarket unit.  I have seen good comments on the OWC batteries on these discussions, though you might want to wait for others to chime in.
