  • Office 365/BlackBerry Business Cloud Services

Hi... Just about to get a Z10 device but thought I check to see if anybody has managed to link the Z10 in to a Office365/BlackBerry® Business Cloud Services setup? I've tried doing a search but have not been able to find any posts to see if this is possible...
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You setup your email as an ActiveSync account - entering your email address and password you use to access your email into the Accounts details and it sets up the email.
BBCS is a version of BESx and does not support BB10 devices.

  • Configuring blackberry business cloud services for office 365

    HI,
As of now we are in process of moving to office 365 . We have to configure office 365 for blackberry devices .
Here we have Blackberry enterprise server and devices are Blackberry Curve and Bold , etc .
When i gone through the technet i have seen two options.
1.Blackberry® Business Cloud Services (BBCS) from BlackBerry
    2.BlackBerry®
    Internet Service (BIS)
Which one i need to prefer based on my server and devices .If i go for BBCS , how to setup and configure.
Please anyone hep me on this.

You need to refer to the option 1
1.Blackberry® Business Cloud Services (BBCS) from BlackBerry

  • BlackBerry Enterprise Cloud Services - MS Exchange Online Plan 2 - Support for Legacy 7.1 Devices and Costs?

    Hello.
All questions below relate to the MS Exchange Online Plan 2, and BlackBerry Enterprise Cloud Services (BBCS).
         -  How much does it cost to install the BBCS service?
         -  Is there support for legacy 7.1 BlackBerry devices?
I have searched online for these answers but I've been unsuccessful answering these two questions. I'm aware that BBCS is available
for the Exchange Online Plan 2 but I cannot confirm if there is a fee. Likewise, I've been unable to find out if legacy 7.1 OS BlackBerry devices are support on BBCS.
    Many thanks.

  • Sync between Memory Drive and PC wihout using cloud service

I want to sync between Memory Drive (SD Card) and PC.
I do not want to use any cloud service.
i did not find blackberry link doing the job. It just copies files on either direction, depend where we invoked the command.
i am ok to manual sync only when connected to PC by cable. I do not expect any sync on WiFi or over internet.
Any idea, how can we do it.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Another option i used is access SD card over WiFi, first we need to enable WiFi Access from media storate option.
Then map SD card as a drive on PC.
Default userid is \Blackberry and password is whatever we set.
Then right click and select make always available offline.

  • A question regarding using a JDBC class to connect with cloud service database

    Hello,
I am currently working on a small scale cloud service report where the company I chose is obviously Oracle. My question is regarding the cloud service in the following way. I was doing my report with the free trial until it just came to me that
why not to do a small one class program with my netBeans or Eclipse that uses JDBC but I am not sure what username, password and the url to use in the connection to retrieve, manipulate and store values. Can somebody help me please if this is possible or not?
edit: Anyone please? I have a deadline in 15.8. and could create something great until then if I get the anwser in few days

To correct my question, I already have the oracle account and I created the cloud service trial account with database and java section.

  • Cloud Services

    Hi,
If I'm right (and read correctly earlier posts) Web Role(s) and Worker Role(s) in a Cloud Service can only be created in a Visual Studio project? What about a SQL Server (e.g. Web Edition) database in a Cloud Service? Can this also be created in Visual Studio?
I suppose there's a difference between the Windows Azure SQL Database and the Windows Azure Cloud Service SQL Database?
One additional question: besides that a Cloud Service (web/worker role) are managed (PAAS), I suppose I can use for a "worker role" and "web role" also a virtual machine, and for a "web role" eventually also a web application:
in which case is it best to select which of the options?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    >>Web Role(s) and Worker Role(s) in a Cloud Service can only be created in a Visual Studio project?
We can use visual studio to create web role or worker role only click a few times, but visual studio is not the only way to create web role or worker role, we also can use command line to do this. see more at:
    http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/documentation/articles/cloud-services-php-create-web-role/#AddRole
    >>What about a SQL Server (e.g. Web Edition) database in a Cloud Service? Can this also be created in Visual Studio?
Base on your description, Windows Azure Cloud Service SQL Database may be the sql database on-premise, refer to
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3235164/what-is-the-difference-between-sql-azure-and-sql-server-2008 for more information about the difference, we can create azure table via visual studio, refer to
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15604413/gui-for-creating-azure-database-tables for more details.
When we deploy one application to azure cloud service, we can see all instances in azure manage portal in cloud service "INSTANCE" tab, each instance was a vm, if we do some special things (such as configure IIS install server) we can choose
azure vm, if we use cloud service instance, all your configure may be lose after restart.

  • Track cloud service configuration changes

I've cloud service and if you go to the azure portal and click on cloud services ->choose service -> click on configure . you see the setting which you put in VS cloud service MVC project like following:
This configure settings was configured and deployod from the cloud service in VS MVC project (which have cloud service) when you click on cloud service click on your MVC project and click on specific role and than you have screen of cofigure
/settings /endpoints etc ,and you put the setting like key val in the setting view
which reflect in the azure portal when you deploy the cloud service in the cloud service configuretion screen.
User can change this config setting values in the portal and I want to track it,If I go the the managment services I can
see all the changes in the azure cloud service (caller id ,operation ID etc and there is option to see detailes but this is not sufficent) ,I want to see which
property was changed and the old values.
1.There is event which is invoked when user change this configuration in the portal,if yes which event and how should I get this data
2.I want to find which field was changed and what is the old value... ?
3.in the managment service you can see the operation ID ,can I get from it somehow addional data?
I've read the following (and more about diagnostic )but not find how to do that...
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/azure/dn186185.aspx
I guess I need to do it by code so any example will be very helpful!

I found the this which when I change conifgration I see it in the operation name
    ChangeDeploymentConfigurationBySlot
But how should I use it I didnt understand it...Im new to azure ...

  • Integrating Oracle Fusion Sales Cloud with Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service (BICS)

Ever wondered how to integrate Oracle Fusion Sales Cloud with Business Intelligence Cloud Service (BICS) ?
The blog outlines how to programmatically load Sales Cloud data into BICS, making it readily available to model and display on BICS dashboards.
    http://www.ateam-oracle.com/integrating-oracle-fusion-sales-cloud-with-oracle-business-intelligence-cloud-service-bics/

I wouldn't try installing Oracle VM itself on an EC2 instance, as EC2 is essentially Xen itself. Rather, you should just be able to transport existing Oracle VM images to the EC2 cloud. I think this is what you mean, but your opening paragraph is slightly ambiguous. :)
From a VPN perspective, I'd use OpenVPN as it has clients for all major operating systems (Windows, MacOS X, Linux) that are fairly easy to package and install. Packages for OpenVPN exist in EPEL so it's easy to install on OEL5. You could also consider using a firewall instead of a VPN and only allowing connectivity from specific IP addresses/ranges. This has the benefit of not requiring client software, but it does require a fixed IP address/range on the client-side.

  • Cloud service created works fine in local Azure Emulator. But doesnot work when deployed to actual azure and says Restarting (Role has encountered an error and has stopped. Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException)

    Hi,
I have a created a cloud service and when i run locally in azure emulator it works fine. But when I am trying to deploy that to azure it says: Restarting (Role has encountered an error and has stopped.
    Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException)
Can anyone please help me on this.
    Thanks,
    Satya Chenna

Any specific reason you are having timer on role start up? are you using thread.sleep for longer duration in the method?
If you are using azure diagnostics - make sure these things
    1. Azure storage connection string is set to correct storage account and not to the development storage.
    2. Check session state provider - local is not supported on azure.

  • Business Address Services (BAS) and Where-Used ADRV/ADRVP

Can someone point out any good sources of information on Business Address Services or possibly its predecessors either online or hard-print?  I've been through the help.sap.com information for BAS and all sorts of SAPNotes without finding what I'm looking for.
In particular I'm trying to understand default SAP's usage of the Where-Used links in BAS that are stored in the tables ADRV and ADRVP.
My Issue: If I create a Sales Document in SAP referencing a partner address stored in BAS there is no Where-Used ADRV record created.  So I cannot use the address number of the ADRC record to find which documents are referencing it via ADRV.
    steps to recreate:
    - Using existing Customer/Partners
    - Create Sales Document (Order) adding partners by selecting partner #'s and not manually overriding any address information.
    - Address of the partner is now linked in the Sales Document via VBPA-ADRDA=D and the ADDRNUMBER references the same ADRC address records that KNA1 points to.
    - There is no Where-Used record created in ADRV indicating that the Sales Document is linked to that address.
    - If I change or delete the ADRC record from KNA1 then I do not have the information available to take any special actions on linked Sales Documents.
Note: If you manually override the address or use a one-time address when entering the Sales Document then the new address is linked via VBPA-ADRDA=E and a Where-Used record is created in ADRV.  Also any follow-on documents created with reference to the Sales Document will also have Where-Used records created in ADRV.  So in the case of changed or manually entered addresses ADRV does work as I would expect it to.
I am observing this behavior in both R/3 4.6c and ECC 5.0.  Trying to understand why SAP is using or not using ADRV in these situations and whether the behavior can and should be changed.

  • Is it possible to use both an ILB and an ELB (listening on the same port) in the same Azure cloud service?

I'm building a test Lync deployment on Azure; yes, I know this is not supported, hence "test".
Lync Front-End servers expose two set of web services, one for internal users and one for external ones; they listen on different ports (443 and 4443) on the same servers; when external services are published, you need a reverse proxy or a port forwarding
in order to map port 443 of a public IP address to port 4443 of the Front-End server(s). When you have multiple Front-End servers in a pool, you also need to load-balance them.
So, a typical Lync deployment looks like this:
           Internal users
                     |
                   443
                      |
              Internal LB
            192.168.0.20
            443         443
              |               |
Lync FE 1     Lync FE 2
    192.168.0.21 192.168.0.22
              |               |
          4443        4443
              External LB
           Public IP Address
                     |
                  443
                     |
           External Users
This should be easily replicated in Azure, as it supports both external load balancing and internal load balancing. They are even supported together in the same cloud service, so this configuration should be easy. However, it looks like "should"
    is the keyword here.
After creating the external load balanced endpoint (which listens on external port 443 and forwards to port 4443 on the servers), I'm trying to create an internal load balancer and add internal endpoints to is; however, while the ILB can be created successfully,
adding an internal endpoint listening on port 443 and forwarding to port 443 on the servers fails miserably, with an error stating that port 443 is already in use by another endpoint:
Update-AzureVM : BadRequest : Port 443 is already in use by one of the endpoints in this deployment. Ensure that the port numbers are unique across endpoints within a deployment.
    For reference, my commands are:
Add-AzureInternalLoadBalancer -InternalLoadBalancerName "LyncILB" -ServiceName "LyncFrontEnd" -SubnetName "LabSubnet" -StaticVNetIPAddress 192.168.0.20
    (This completes successfully)
    Get-AzureVM LYNCFE1 | Add-AzureEndpoint -Name "Https-Int" -Protocol "tcp" -LocalPort 443 -PublicPort 443 -LBSetName "HttpsIntLB" -DefaultProbe -InternalLoadBalancerName "LyncILB"
    (This fails)
The existing external endpoint is configured as such:
    Get-AzureVM LYNCFE1 | get-azureendpoint
    LBSetName : HttpsExtLB
    LocalPort : 4443
    Name : HTTPS-Ext
    Port : 443
    Protocol : tcp
    Vip :
    ProbePath :
    ProbePort : 4443
    ProbeProtocol : tcp
    ProbeIntervalInSeconds : 15
    ProbeTimeoutInSeconds : 31
    EnableDirectServerReturn : False
    Acl : {}
    InternalLoadBalancerName :
    IdleTimeoutInMinutes :
    LoadBalancerDistribution :
The error doesn't even make a lot of sense; the external load balancer listens on a public IP address, while the internal load balancer listens on a private IP address in the internal network; there
shouldn't be any conflict here... however it looks like there is one instead.
Why doesn't this work? Am I doing something wrong, or is Azure networking just being silly as usual again?

    Hello Massimo Pascucci,
The issue that you are facing when creating an endpoint with internal loadbalancer is the limitation of not allowing same ports to be listening under a single cloud service. This reason for this is that there is a limitation of only one private IP (Also
known as the Internal load balanced IP) per cloud service.
There is also a limitation on the Internal load balancer more than one port to be published per load balancer:
You can leave your feedback by following the link below:

  • What are Azure limitations for Websockets in Cloud Services (web and worker role)?

A WebSocket Server should be built on Azure platform with OnPrem connections and have questions regarding limitations for Websockets in Azure Cloud Services - web and worker roles.
Websockets can be configured for Web Sites and limitations are understood, but Azure Websites is not an option.
Nevertheless it is planned to run a web service (without UI - no web site) as a Cloud service which has secure websocket (WSS) connections to OnPrem machines. Websocket protocol is enabled for IIS8 on Cloud services web and worker roles. Azure Service Bus Relay
    is not an option.
    Questions:
    1) Are Websockets supported for Azure Cloud services web and worker roles? we assume yes
    2) What are potential limitations from Azure side to support concurrent Websocket connections? We are aware that CPU, memory etc are limitations, but are there additional limitations from MS Azure side?

    Hi,
As I know, azure cloud service web and worker role support Websockets, users can connect to the role via the special endpoint, if we use Azure cloud service, I think we can monitor the metrics such as CPU, memory, etc... and scale our cloud service via these
metrics to keep the websockets working, refer to
http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/cloud-services-how-to-scale/ for more information about how to scale a cloud service.
