BC Is Making Up Invisible Pages

Hi,
So basically, this dropdown menu item, redirects to a page that does not exist, only when a customer is logged into a secure zone. The link to this non existent page is no where to be found. Not on the templates, not in the menu, not anywhere. I even tried to make a page so that at least that link from the drop down goes to SOMETHING, but when I tried to make a page, apparently that page already existed. So nope, that didn't work.
I made a re-direct from the fake link to the correct one, that didn't work either. The re-direct is there, but doesnt work.
If you can figure this out you are probably not human. But either way I'd love your help.

You have not provided any links or anything so very hard to help you at the moment.
Firstly - BC does not make invisible pages.
I am not sure what your doing but sounds like you have got yourself into a bit of a mess. If you click a link to a page that is secure (your not logged in) then it will go to a system page - 401 unauthorised access - This is under system pages in the admin.
And the other part of your post - Not sure what your doing but redirects are something you should not be doing and also make sure your not putting file extensions on for links where pages do not have them and vice versa.

You could use the viewstack container to accomplish what you
need. you can layout a viewstack with two children, the first one a
canvas and a label maybe that gives your users some feedback, and
another children containig your whole class, so if you have a
function or your class dispatches an event when it creation its
completed you can the change the viewstack selectedchildren to
reveal your class.

Make invisible page with dreamweaver 8?

hi there, I need a help please, about "can I make an invisible page with dw8?"
invisible page I mean is can I mean my website visitors can still have access to this page but this page name is now listed in the menu list.
and also, the 2nd is:
if I have 5 pages, and I want the menu list (consist of pages name) to be shown in only 3 of them how to do it?
I'm beginner, if you might think this is a silly question.

As for your first question do as you say, create the page and do not link to it from within your main content.

In pages you can only have one orientation of the Page. You have to rotate the content on the pages that you want horizontal. Save the document in Pages format so you'll have a original version to work on. Then Export to or Print to PDF and open the document in Preview. Here you can rotate the pages to horizontal viewing.

Adobe for making comic book pages

Afternoon, I am a graphic novel writer & comic designer.
I have been told that many of Adobe's products can be used
to create drafts for comic book pages. But some people tell me
Illustrator is the best, others say In Design is the way to go and
I have even heard Photoshop works as well. I guess I am just
look for some advice from a Adobe expert. What Adobe product would you recommend to use for making comic book pages?

Well, definitely not Acrobat (this is the Acrobat forum).
Pros don't use one program, and a huge beginner mistake is to try and find that one program that pros use and then try to do everything in it. All three of the products you mention are used:
Photoshop - raster drawing; dealing with scans; preparing web graphics
Illustrator - vector drawing and decorative text
InDesign - not an artists tool, used to assemble content make in Photoshop and Illustrator, and create bodies of text.
Some artists design on the computer (which is every bit as artistic, but a different skill than working on paper)
Some artists design on paper and just scan
Some mix, e.g. outline on paper, colour and letter on screen.
I recommend an introductory hands-on course where you get to see the basics of all three.

While making field invisible at runtime in FPM_FORM_UIBB that row is coming as blank

In one of the requirement we are making one of the fields indivisible at runtime in the method - GET_DATA of the class - CL_HRESS_PER_DETAIL.
But row in which the filed is made invisible is coming as blank .
Is there any way to change the row number of the fields at run time .

We don't have option for specifying the row / column options at runtime.
In structure FPMGB_T_FIELDUSAGE We have only Mandatory/Visibility/Read-only/Enabled options to set for any field.

Making tabs invisible in FPM_OIF_COMPONENT does not work

we have a requirement to hide some FPM tabs (main views) in the ESS talent profile iView.
after making those tabs invisible in the FPM component configuration they still show up as visible. Any idea why?

Hi,
I assume here that at design time you make them via the configuration invisible. At runtime if you see the tabs then i suspect that there are some Dynamic programming involved or other variants exists that you haven't changed yet.
Go back to the application configuration and test it from there and if it is still not working then use the Debugger to see what happens and why your configuration is not working.

Help making a logon page

I need help making a simple logon page in Dreamweaver MX. I

The proceedure is pretty much the same in
PHP/Coldfusion/JSP/ASP.
There is a very easy to follow example in the Dreamweaver
Help File.
Just go to Help-->Developing Applications Rapidly -->

JSP, PHP) --> Building a login page
I don't think it can get much easier. But remember that you
will need to have a database table of user details in place to
complete the process.

Targeting Arrays and making them invisible

Hi: I'm having trouble targeting elements of an array using AS3. I have five buttons in an array named botons.
var botons:Array = [boton_1, boton_2, boton_3, boton_4, boton_5];
Each button goes to a different page, but they all are on the same layer like navigation bar.
When page 1 is visited button 1 should be invisible and the others visible. When on page 2, button 2 should be invisible but all others visible.
I used the following to make the entire array invisible and it works.

How can I make each button invisible when visiting its page, but make the rest visible?

Problem with making picture invisible

Hi,
I prospect forums but I have not found solutions to my problems. I
want to display different pictures at different times or successively.
I want to display one picture, wait until the user click onto it
(I know how do it), then display another picture in the place of the
first and so blinking (making invisible and inactive) the first.

I send here the program I would like to realize.
The user must clicks a certain number of times (once or five times) on a red rectangle before two shapes (A and B, once in the left and once in the right) appear and the subject chooses either one. The same thing with another pair of stimuli (C and D) after completion of a number of clicks required on the rectangle. One sequence consists on 2 presentations of the pair AB stimuli with each stimuli once at right and once at left + 2 presentations of CD stimuli with each stimuli once at right and once at left.
I want to randomize order of events, so I will create (no doing yet) 24 sequences of possible order of events (not only display AB_BA_CD_DC, like the example, here in the block diagram, but too AB_DC_BA_CD, for example). The choice of the sequence is randomized with a random number (multiply by one for the moment in order you see immediately the events when you run the VI).
I use ring picture to display the stimuli and enumerated constant for the type of stimuli I display. What I would like to do is using only 2 rings indicators, but I have seen when I did that, the program doesn't work. I was "forced" to use one ring each time. It will be more costly for me to write because I must create property node_property visible_false for other ring each time and in this cas I would use 288 rings.
My question is how can I do for using only 2 rings? And am I forced to use sequence structure?

Making an image page searchable?

I do not have alot of experience when it comes to making web pages searchable by the likes of Google. I about to create a number of pages that are made up of 4 colour GIF images and image maps. How can I make the pages search engine compatible?

Start building pages with actual HTML content that is rich in site relevant keywords and makes good use of semantic mark-up. H1, h2, h3 tags should contain the important headings and subheadings. Paragraphs and lists will contain the descriptive content. That's why Blogs are so popular.
Images, Image maps, and flash based sites fare very poorly with search engines. If you're unsure, look at your site in a text based browser to see what the search engines see.

Making Template Shifts page to right!

I have a site that I have done 3 pages for and I'm making them into templates but as soon as I put an editable region in the whole pages shifts right in Dreamweaver. It doesn't effect the look on the web but look bad in dreamweaver. I dont know if you can tell by the image but one whole DIV is off the side of the screen. I could probaly fix the div that is shifted off the page with my CSS but what is doing this. And can I fix the #Wrapper?

You have some errors in your code that DW may be choking on.
Run your page through the validator at http://www.validator.w3.org
One thing I know DW has hated in the past is comments with more than two hypens to start and close, so  should be -->.
If all of the errors are removed and Design View is still displaying it wrong, post back and we can take a closer look.
Keep in mind though, that there may not be a "fix" for Design View. DV is just an approximation of how the page will look, not even a good one at that. Live View is better, but only represents the page as it would look in a "mostly there" version of a Webkit browser. Previewing in the actual browers is often the only way to know what your page will actually look like.

Making UI Invisible Issue

I have a set of table values, that has to displayed in the form not as table but as shown below
I have maintained two subforms inside the Main subform Subform1_Objectives (flowed, Repeat subform..... properties enabled)

The same thing i try inside the subform, only the text gets invsisble, but the text box remains same.

Security, dual boot os x partitions; making each invisible from each other?

I have partitioned my Mini's hard drive with the intention of using one partition for general exploratory google surfing, and the other partition for credit card transactions, etc, thereby keeping the latter free of nasties and avoiding hacker exploits. Is it possible to set each partition up to be invisible to the other?
It occured to me another way of doing this would be to take out the mini's hard drive, put it in a bootable firewire caddy and have a second external firewire hard drive; you would simply unplug the hard drive you weren't using or, preferably, there would be some physical switch to switch between the two. I prefer simple options to configuring a firewall to the nth degree, though I should mention that I bought a netgear router that apparently has security features. I need to read up on that, too, but at the moment I am exploring my security options and firewall settings.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm not a security expert or anything, but I don't actually have a whole lot of faith in the security of the "out of the box" OS X configuration. I gather the unix bits have a pretty good track record, but some of the GUI aspects seem to reflect a lackadaisical attitude toward security. Safari's "open safe files" setting, enabled by default, has gotten Apple into trouble by exacerbating other problems on at least three separate occasions. The fact that certain areas of the "/Library" folder can be written to by an "admin", thereby affecting other users, and without the need for a password, has been exploited by iOpener in "Panther", and by "oompa-loompa" in "Tiger". You would have though once would have been enough for either of these things. "Fool me once..." "Those that fail to learn from history..." Obviously, somebody isn't getting it.
So I think you are right to be concerned. I'm not sure how I would handle the situation, but to comment on your question, it is generally considered that the best way to deal with a compromised system is to erase the hard drive and restore everything from known "good" media. Given that approach, and since you are already willing to go to the effort of creating a separate, presumably uncompromised system on an external drive for your secure transactions, why not go all the way and keep that drive disconnected when not in use? It is possible to prevent volumes from being mounted automatically at boot time (try searching for "os x" and "/etc/fstab" for example), but this won't prevent mounting if the drive is unplugged by someone and plugged in again, at which time compromised system would be able to affect the external drive. Going into more speculative territory, maybe if one boot drive was formatted HFS+ and the other UFS (OS X supposedly supports both for booting), maybe the system files required for reading the non-boot filesystem type could be removed... But keeping it unplugged would seem to be much easier, and probably safer since there would be no physical connection...
and btw, despite all the bad things I have said about Apple's apparent attitude toward security, that article you linked to is inaccurate, out-dated (ie irrelevant), sensationalistic garbage.

Making a web page created with WPC available in an iView

Hi all,
is it possible to display a web page which was created with the WPC in an Iview?
Every guide I found explains how to make it available via Entry Point but I need it in an iView.

1. create a new iView with Portal Component as source
2. choose portal archive: com.sap.nw.wpc.runtime
3. choose default on next screen
4. Afterwards choose the category Web Page Composer in the Property Editor.
5. Insert the Path of the Web Page in the property : RID of Compound Document
(you can copy it by clicking on 'Copy Path' in the context menu of the web page)
example: /wpccontent/Sites/MyWebSite/Web Pages/MyWebPage
I translated it from german documentation. Hope, you understand it.
That's the way i did it too nad it worked for me.
