I need to execute the SAP Best practice scenario D85: Engagement Management with Project Controlling. Need help in activating the BC set and how to do that. I know it is done by Basis but still any steps for SD functionals.

As BC Sets, only customizing data can be captured. So, there is hardly any role of functional consultant.
After BC sets are applied to the system, functional consultant can go for preapartion any master data related updation or changes or creation for desired functionality and going further go test run process desired.

How to tell if REQ1 is set active high

Hi I am using the 6533 PCI-DIO-32HS card in a PC with traditional DAQ, looking at an existing design. I could not find how to tell if REQ1 is set active high or low, guessing it would be set up in the DIO confg vi.

thanks for the additional information, yes will have to wait for the external hardware. I did have a general question about the 6533 data and control line outputs using traditional DAC. I think for this design it is set up as a pattern IO transfer using internal REQ and an internal clock set up as a VI input, (DIO START). Anyhow I am monitoring the card outputs with a logic analyzer and it looks like an 8 element array (of 8 bit integers) is being used for the data input (to the DIO WRITE VI) with the first 4 elements being written out on DIOA0-A7, DIOB0-B7, DIOC0-C7, and DIOD0-D7 followed by the last 4 elements also written out to DIOA0-A7, DIOB0-B7, DIOC0-C7, and DIOD0-D7. Anyhow it looks like the clock input to the (DIO Start VI) controls the pulse width of the data. It looks like REQ1 goes high approximately 78 microseconds before the first 32 bits are written out followed by 5 microseconds of data (with the clock set at 200k), finally followed by the second data group (5 microseconds of data). It then looks like REQ1 stays high for 2-4 ms after the second group of 32 bits is written out before going low. Anyhow if you are trying to clock this data into a storage device I would expect to see rising clock edges when both the first and second group of data appear on DIOA0-A7..DIOD0-D7. I monitored all the other control lines pclk1,2 ack1 and did not see signal levels other than 0, again I do not have the DIO card connected to anything except a logic analyzer. Would you know if it is typical to use REQ1 as a clock input to a storage device or if this can be done?

Significance of BC Set Activation for GRC AC 5.3

Dear Members,
Request you to please help me understand the significance of the BC Set Activation in an HR implemented ABAP system,
w.r.t. AC 5.3
The AC 5.3 runs separately on the a java instance and connected to ABAP with the help of JCo's.
Kindly assist, if you have any clue regarding the documentation for the same.
I want to understand, the criticality of activating the VIRSANH and VIRSAHR BC Sets on ABAP side for the proper functioning of the GRC AC 5.3 and if their is any variation in the results of GRC , if the BC Sets are activated/ or if not activated.

Molwana,
the BC Set needs to be activated as part of the post-installation process. It will also provide you with data that the RTA needs to work.
I have done this for many customers, there is no risk involved. All the "extra" data is in a separate namespace.

Set Active Directory Folder Permission

We have added a Lion server to an active directory domain, however I cannot determine how to set Active Directory permissions on shared folders on the Mac. Ideally we want our windows users to access shared folders on the Mac however we would like to lock them down so we can restrict some users.
Is anyone able to point me in the right direction?

DFS question: What does "Set Active" mean on the DFS tab in windows server 2008

When I logged into server and went to the DFS tab to check and see if it was replicating between two of the different shares. I saw one share marked as "Active" What does that mean?
I also seen a button that said "Set Active" I am guessing its related to my above question.
I am guessing its the root? The directory that others pull from or something? I tried to google that all over and could not find anything specific to this question which I found very odd.

If you have multiple folder targets in the namespace then the 'Set Active' button is how you change the current referral (at a client level). Only enabled folder targets will be listed. Users can choose a different server if they wish (maybe
for performance reasons).

How to set activity type for a cost center

i was practicing the split valuation topic and for the that i was making a routing for a product so that i can have that product for inhouse production.
while using ca01(to create routing), i am facing a problem with the activity type.
when i am setting up the operation i am getting an error " activity type # is not set up for cost center 10004220 in year 2007"

hi Nandha, i am sorry but i could not do it. i am new in this. let me make my problem more clear to you.
i was creating a routing using ca01
after puttig all the details i switched to operations tab and in operation tab i put workcenter as (1111 - lathe, may be i am wrong as i told you i am just practicing).
i did not put anything on that screen and then when i pressed enter it took me to another screen with name Operation check.
here is the layout of the problem on that screen
                      std val      unit     activity type     efficiency

and then curser being on the std value i am getting this error "activity type 1422 is not set up for cost center 1000 4220 in the year 2007.when i am ignoring it it is switching to next std val coloumn and the same error.

Problem facing with BC-Set activation while doing servicedesk configuration

I have installed Solution Manager 4.0,And i applied all the latest service pack (both abap and java service packs).I try to activate some BC-sets(ex: Service_desk_change_request_32A,Service_desk_change_request_32F2).When try to activiation it is giving Runtime errors like DATA_LENGTH_0
and Exception CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS
Can some one help how to activiate the BC-Sets in the process of configuring the Service desk userin the SolutionManager system.

For me activating BC Set ZSOLMAN40_SDESK_TEXTTYPES_001 gets the error:
COMV_TEXT_CUST No data found for writing activation links for object COMV_TEXT_CUST.
Also, I think I may have blown it by not doing the piece lists. I have heard differently whether to do it or not and in which client and how to get it form dev to prod.
Also, I could be wrong but I thought SERVICE_DESK_CHANGE_REQUEST_32A was from SolMan 3.2.
Please post if you get it all figured out.

How to set active tab in PCUI application

Hi,
we are using PCUI application for activity management. We are also using surveys.
If a user selects an existing activity from the search result list instead of tab "Details" the tab "Survey" should be set as default.
I found out that the event behind is ACT_SURVEY. But how and where can I raise this event?

Hello Adil,
I tried your suggestion. Doesn't work.
When I add the survey tab via customizing on a position lower the 010 (details tab) then I get an exception from the onlayout method.
So I tried to change the position via method check_active_tab. This works, survey appears at first position. But the details tab keeps choosen although it is the second tab now. When I chose the survey tab it changes its position to the original position.
Do you have any other idea? Is there a way to invoke the event act_survey?

Best Way to Set Active Class on Secondary Navigation

Hello All,
I've got a secondary navigation that looks something like this:

<a href="">link 3</a>
<a href="">link 4</a>
I simply want to add a CSS class to each link when it's clicked on (also the first link when the page loads) to change the CSS properties of the link. I've started with:
Spry.Utils.addClassName('link1','active');
And this works. However when clicking through the other links, I need a better way to set the removeClass on the other ones. As it is now, I manually add the class for the correct link, and then remove it for all the other links. Obviously this isn't a very efficient way to go about doing this.
What would be a better way to handle this across the board, while activating link1 when the page loads?

What I ended up doing was using the addClassName and removeClassName on each link element. The issue I had was that all the links have to change to "active" on the same page. There is no refresh/page load.
Now I just need to set the active state of one element on page load.

Any way to set "active mode" for FTP, or to use sFTP instead?

I have a web host that does not support passive FTP mode. I need to either set the mode to be "active mode", or I need to use secure FTP (sFTP). Is there any support for either of these within Muse?

By default , Adobe Muse FTP option uses " Passive Mode" , I am afraid its not possible to switch to "Active Mode" or to switch to Secure FTP. Alternatively, you may export the site locally using " Export as HTML " and then you may use third party FTP client to upload the site to your third party hosting using Active or Secure FTP.
Let me know if you have any further query.

Setting Activity parameter property "literal" with OMB Plus

Does anybody know how the property "literal" can be set to "false" with an OMB command?
To change e.g. the value, the following command works:
OMBALTER PROCESS_FLOW 'LOAD_STAGE' \
MODIFY ACTIVITY 'STG_POS_MAP' MODIFY PARAMETER 'P_AUDITID' SET PROPERTIES (VALUE) VALUES ('parent_audit_id')
This works for all other properties like DIRECTION, DATA_TYPE, BINDING, etc. but not for LITERAL. The following command doesn't work:
