BDX3200KB 3D Blu-ray Player not compatible with some 3D movies

I have a BDX3200 3D blu-ray player that is connect to a Toshiba 47VL863 3D TV.
I have noticed recently that a number of 3D movies do not play correctly.
The worst affected ones seem to be "The Hobbit" and "A Turtles Tale", where the 3D movement flickers badly and there is a visible "page turning" effect when switching from one scene to another.
This makes both movies un-watchable.
In an attempt to solve the issue I downloaded the latest firmware for both the TV and blu-ray player, but sadly the problem has not gone away. If, however, I play the affected movies on the same TV but using a PS3, they play perfectly, leading me to believe the BDX3200 is the source of the issue.
I have written to Toshiba support, but have had no reply!
Is anyone else having the same issue? Is there a fix out there that I'm not aware of?
I'd like to know what Toshiba have to say on this issue?

Well Toshibas answer is a bit of a joke really.
They say that the technology used in this 3D Bluray is new and is causing playback problem.....yes and.......Toshibas point is?
My SONY yes PS3 which is NOT yes I repeat NOT a dedicated 3D Bluray player and is almost 8 years old not 2 years like my Toshiba 3D Bluray player can play this 3D Disc without any problems...so the technology is not that new..or can TOSHIBA just NOT be bothered to look after their customers.
People just be warned!!!
Toshibas reply is shown below plus my further reply
"Thank you for your recent enquiry.
We are very sorry to hear about the problem that you have experienced with your new DVD purchase. We understand that recent devlopments employed in 3D technology used on this particular blu-ray have led to issues with 3D playback and the most recent firmware update hasn't rectified this issue.
We have passed on your comments regarding this and future firmware updates may address this issue but at this time we are unable to tell you when this may become available.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
My reply
"Hello,
I find this completely unacceptable. I purchase this product along with my television in good faith that it would play 3d Blurays...this is obviously not the case it would appear that it can only play certain 3d blurays..perhaps you should consider placing this information in your advertising literature so as to not misinform customers.
My aging PS3 which was made in 2006 and is a games console as you well know can play this 3d Bluray..so it is not new technology that is the problem. My PS3 is not a dedicated 3D Bluray player where as the Toshiba 3D player is designed to play 3D Blurays and yes it isnjust about 2 years old. I think there is something wrong here, and I would like to take this further.

  • Is there any Blu-ray Player Software compatible with my iMac OS X Mountain Lion?

I want to watch a Blu-ray Movie on my iMac(OS X Mountain Lion), so I need a best Blu-ray Player Software.

You need third party software, Macgo Blu-ray Player can deal with the work you mentioned. As for the Mac Moutain Lion(10.8), I check their website and it is said that the Mac OS 10.8 are supported.
Refers to their product page: http://www.macblurayplayer.com/features.htm

  • What Blu-Ray Burners are compatible with Mac?

Any suggestions on what type of external blu-ray players are compatible with the iMacs?

Same Samsung SH-B123L Blu-Ray player has worked for me in Windows 7, Lion, and Mountain Lion. So, if you had this connected and dual-booted using Boot Camp, it would be a one device solution. Use MacGo Blu-Ray software. The player is a powered USB connection. OS X DVD player also thinks it is an internal Apple device and just works without a whimper. Fast device. 16x DVD burn. 48x read. Take it out of the box and plug it in. The operating system just recognizes it.
If you point the MacGo Blu-ray software at movies stored in your local network, it will play them too.

  • TOSHIBA Blu-ray Disc Player not compatible with USB speakers

I have a P850, using Logitch Z305 USB speakers. The speakers work fine with all other multimedia software such as WMP, iTunes or MPC, but not with TOSHIBA Blu-ray Disc Player. The Toshiba program either won't work or will crash if the speakers are plugged in. Is anyone aware of a way to fix this?
    Thanks

This Logitech speakers are plug and play device that uses standard driver and are installed as any other plug and play device. I dont have it but I saw interesting movie on You Tube about it.
To be honest I dont understand why it cannot works with TOSHIBA Blu-ray Disc Player. I think you are the first one who has reported about this issue.
Problem is that Toshiba doesnt support third part software or hardware so it is not easy to find solution for this.
I really hope there are other users who have fixed it or can offer some useful tip for this pretty strange issue.

  • Blue Ray player not working after upgrading to windows 7

I upgraded my HP Pavilion  m9517c-b desktop PC bundle (part number FQ575AA) which includes:
m9517c Desktop PC, part number FQ574AA# ABA   to windows 7 from Vista  home 64.
This upgrade now prevents the HP mediasmart program to play blue ray DVD's  giving a message of
" The content is protected     The content cannot be played in the current display mode"
I had no problems playing BlueRay DVD's or any other thing with Vista home 64.   I was looking for mediasmard driver updates but don't seem to find any that will allow blueray  DVD's to play.    Is there a solution to this problem.
    Thanks
    dmc

Do you have more than one display connected to your computer (for example, a monitor and also a TV)? Typically you would get this error if you're trying to play a Blu-ray movie in dual display mode, so you'd have to pick one display or the other.
If you have more than one display, or even if you only have one display connected, try toggling the display mode by pressing Windows (flag) key + P and select the one screen you want it to play on. Refer to Resolving DVD and Blu-ray Movie Problems (Windows 7) for other troubleshooting ideas.

  • Dvd/blu-ray player not working

my laptop suddenly won't play dvd's or blu-rays anymore.

OK we can try to help. For starters, what kind of laptop is it? We need a model number and what Windows version you are running. Was it working before? Did you install any hardware or software right before it stopped working?

If the console is still in warranty, return to the retailer.
Otherwise, there is a sticky thread above telling you how to return it to Sony for repair.
There should be a similar thread in the ps4 support board in the German language forums

    > But basically, I tried to set it up via the "Remote"
    server. But I actually
    > switched it to ftp (ftp://mine).
I'm not sure from your description if the files are actually
    on your
computer as a "Local Site Folder"
Pls open this site definition for editing.
click the "Advanced Tab" to find things easily.
click the Remote Server info tab.
    What type of connection?
--If it's "FTP/RDS" then close the dialog box.
Make a new site definition, to a new empty folder on your
    computer's hard
drive. Set remote access to FTP, then connect and "get" all
    the remote
    files.
--If it's "FTP" then i'd suggest this-
    expand the Files Panel.
Start renaming/moving files within the Files Panel of
    dreamweaver to make
some sense of this structure. Always okay the dialog box to
    allow dw to
    update files and links.
    suggested structure-
the site is "defined" to the folder holding the site's
    "homepage" index
    file.
from here- it's whatever makes sense to you.
What i generally do is if it's a smallish site, put all the
    html files in
the top level, and images in an images folder.
If it's a larger site, i make subfolders based on the site
    navigation.
    root folder <--site defined here
    index.html <--homepage
    images/ <subfolder for images used thru-out site
    products/
    images
products1.html and so on, all the product pages here
    gallery/
    gallery1.html
    images/
    and so on.
The only reason to do this reorganization is that the path to
    the images
looks like you have uploaded your hard drive to the server.
    Or that your
computer is the host, and people might have complete access
    to it. Or that
something went all pear-shaped which is what did happen.
another item you may want to tackle, is that there are NO
    words on your
site. It has a lot of pages. But it's all single images. Not
    a word of text
    a search engine can "see"

  • Share files on Time Capsule with wireless Blu Ray player?

We're looking at getting a Blu Ray player with built in wireless to take advantage of Amazon Prime streaming and Hulu Plus. Star Trek; TNG remastered on Bl Ray also promped me in this decision!
We already have an AppleTV and tried jailbreaking to get access to Hulu and Amazon, but the hack caused numerous issues, so back to stock it went.
I have also started ripping all of my DVDs and importing them into iTunes, but with a baby in the house it's REALLY an issue to always have a laptop open and running whenever we want to watch one of our movies. I've looked at a number of Blu Ray players that include DLNA capabilities, plus file sharing via SMBA and UPNP. My question is, will the Time Capsule serve up those files to the player? I tried DLNA shares directly through our Samsung HDTV before and it just did not work.
Does anyone have experience with a make/model of Blu Ray player playing nicely with a Time Capsule and/or an additional storage device attached to a Time Capsule?
I have also read that I absolutely, positively do NOT want to go wireless, but to use Ethernet instead. Our TV is clear on the other side of the house from the modem/Time Capsule so I'd have to pull at least 100 feet of cable to make that happen. I don't think there's any conduit into the attic at the front of the house either, since the cable box comes in in from the exterior wall, so it could be a real job. Any thoughts on that?

There are no media players in the TC whatsoever.. it is completely dumb box.. and is unsuitable as a media centre.. it is not even a file store, as it has no way to back itself up.. it is a backup target for Time Machine.
If you want DLNA you need to run a computer of some sort and use a player that can read the files and play them directly.. ie no streaming.
On the wireless to other side of the house, I do think you will have issues. Ethernet is still far superior solution and if you own the house consider it an investment in future usage.
But for now Ethernet Over Power adapters can offer superior performance to wireless and far better reliability. They are not without issues, so buy from store that offers no questions asked return.. and don't bother too much with super fast ones.. the 200mbit/s are already well above what is reality. You cannot use them on power boards generally so you also might need to think of ways around that.
If you do get stuck with wireless the TC is slow.. 2.4ghz is only 130mbps.. and range is not great. I would recommend a different device like ubiquiti router that offers high power and long range.

  • Surround Sound Not Working Correctly Since Connecting New Blu-Ray Player

I recently purchased a Sony VIZIO VBR200W Blu-Ray Player to go with my VIZIO VL420M LCD HDTV, and am having some audio issues.  I have a RCA RT2770 Home Theater System, which is connected to the TV through the audio in/out composite (RCA) audio cables (audio in is to the RCA system, audio out is to the TV).  The Blu-Ray Player and the XBox 360 are connected directly to the TV using HDMI cables.  The problem is the sound coming out of the speaker system is a bit distorted when using the Blu-Ray player.  I've also noticed quite a bit of feedback coming from both the TV speakers and the surround speakers when the TV screen is bright (loading menu's of movies, Netflix Instant Queue, etc.).  I never had any issues with the sound from the 360, which has been hooked up this way since day one.  Any suggestions on how to get the sound to be clearer?
OK, now I'm starting to worry that the feedback I got earlier caused some kind of picture quality issues in the TV itself!  Before I make a fool of myself for asking stupid questions, is this even a possability?  Help!!!

dumb question - but does your rca home theater have an optical input on the back of it? it will look like a trapazoid cover with sometimes the words "audio in"
