Bean State is not maintained in producer
Hi,
In my application, whenever we click on the 'Add' button, document is added to bean and page is submited again and the same apge is displayed. For e.g, I have employeeDetails.xhtml apge and whenver I add any document, document is added to Bean, and employeeDetails.xhtml page is shown again. but now in portal, employeeDetails apge after adding docuemnt is throwing exception. the reason which we found out is that, bean state is not meintained and due to which RenderRequest reinitializes the bean and all saved data is lost.
Can you pelase help on this?
In Create Mode od material Master: MM01 Enter the material code & enter the same in Reference material & enter. In the next step select Purchasing, as it refers to not have maintained & enter Organization data & enter. Now maintain Purchasing Tab page.
This process in SAP is known as Extending Material Master. You can extend the material master for adding Views not maintained, also for extending material to another plant or combination of Sales Org & Distribution Channel, & so on ...

HP Officejet 6500A Plus will not maintain wireless connection reliably
For the HP EXPERTS on Expert Day, April 18, 2012:
B.L.A.T. (Bottom Line At Top): We have an HP Officejet 6500A Plus purchased about 5 months ago. We wanted to use it as a wireless-connected printer in another room besides our home office. It is useless to us because it will not maintain its wireless connection, even sitting just a few feet from the router in the same room. Except for numerous hours of troubleshooting, we have left it sitting powered up, but unused and idle, for almost the entire 5 months in our home office. DURING ALL THAT IDLE TIME, IT HAS LOGGED OVER 3,200 DISCONNECTS, at a consistent rate of 24 disconnects every 24 hours, even though it ALWAYS reports that the wireless signal quality is “EXCELLENT” (all this is according to the Wireless Network Test Reports we’ve printed throughout the last 5 months). So our question is, what is it that this printer is trying to do once an hour over a wireless connection that is causing these thousands of disconnects? And how can we stop it?
NOTE! Before you round up the usual suspects (namely our router and our PC firewalls) please note that we also bought an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus ON THE SAME DAY as the Officejet 6500A Plus. The 8600 was also installed with a wireless connection, and has worked without a single network issue for the entire 5 months.
NOW, FOR THE REST OF THE STORY…
WHO WE ARE: My wife and I have worked on HP equipment for 33 years, starting in 1979 as corporate customers of HP when we worked for Exxon; then we both worked for HP directly for 17 years; and we’ve now used dozens of pieces of HP equipment in our home during the last 12 years in retirement. We’re primarily software folks, so we’re not exactly experts in hardware and networking, but on the other hand, this ain’t our first rodeo either.
OUR CONFIGURATION:
PC’s – All running Windows 7 x64 with all important patches applied and Norton Internet Security 2012: HPE-270f and HP AIO 200-Quad, each with full 6500A and 8600A drivers installed on wireless connection. These 2 PC’s themselves can connect either wirelessly or via Ethernet to our home network. The 270f has a dual-band wireless board. Both bands work. We also have a new dv7t laptop with only the full 6500A driver installed via wireless connection. The laptop is now upstairs and it’s connected to our home network wirelessly without any issues. (This is where we had hoped to also put the 6500A, but it needs to work reliably via wireless connection.)
ROUTER: Netgear N600 WNDR3700 providing Ethernet and wireless networking. Router provides a very strong wireless signal throughout the house. No wireless problems with any other equipment including an iPod, two Kindle Fires besides all the HP equipment.
PRINTERS: Besides the two HP printers, the HPE-270f PC has a Canon MP960 installed on it. And if we can’t get the 6500A working right or replaced with something that does work right, we may be buying our second Canon printer. By the way, on the 6500A, ePrint and App’s are set to ON, but of course they’re not being used, just like everything else on this AIO.
OTHER: We also have a Sonos music system that connects to our network via Ethernet and has its own proprietary mesh network (on another frequency) for transmitting ripped music wirelessly to speaker units throughout our house. (If you aren’t familiar with this totally cool system, check out sonos.com). We’ve never seen any evidence of interference between these two wireless networks, or our wireless phone sets either.
HP TOOLS AVAILABLE ON ALL 3 PC’s: HPU
UPDATE 5.003.001.001 (reporting everything up-to-date); HPHDU 3.1.0.17; HPPDU 5.0.0.015 and HPNDU 4.3.0.002.
SYMPTOMS: The 6500A Plus installs quickly and easliy, and connects wirelessly just fine during installation. But sometime over the next hour (usually less), it disconnects and won’t print from PC applications. Sometimes the application puts up an “Unable to communicate with printer” screen, even though the PC usually thinks the printer is “ready”. Other times, the PC thinks the printer is offline (but printers don’t have “offline” buttons anymore!). Often, if you just leave everything alone, the 6500A will somehow reconnect and print out the spooled file 5-30 MINUTES later. So it does usually seem to be able to recover given some time, but that doesn’t always fit our schedule! Occasionally, turning the wireless radio on the printer off and back on will fix it right away. But usually, you have to power the printer completely off, and then back on. As far as we know, that always fixes it…..until the next disconnect a few minutes later!
PREVIOUSLY TRIED: After reading some of HP’s wireless network support websites, I manually assigned a fixed IP address to this printer. It didn’t seem to matter; according to the wireless network test report, it still logs disconnects at the rate of one per hour, and all the failure symptoms were the same.
We also dabbled a bit with setting this printer as “trusted” to the Firewall, but that didn’t seem to matter either.
Next, we connected the printer via Ethernet. The printer immediately started to work, even though it had just been in its “failed” state over the wireless connection. As far as we know, it never failed while connected via Ethernet. This seems to point to a purely wireless hardware/firmware problem on the printer itself.
Late last year, I tried two different chat sessions about this with the inter-continental AIO support teams, each one lasting several hours. Unfortunately, none of their optimistic solution scripts seemed to fit our problem. They both seemed determined to reconfigure the 6500A as a TCP/IP printer, which of course worked fine initially, just like everything else. At this point, they would understandably want to close the chat. But 20-30 minutes later, we could no longer print to it. During the second chat, they got into one of our PC’s remotely and effectively turned off the spooler (by selecting “Print Directly” or something like that). After that, all was well again (as usual) UNTIL the printer disconnected, at which time attempting to print from that PC would HANG the application (since the spooler was no longer buffering) and eventually hang the whole PC. One giant leap backwards. That’s when I gave up on the multi-hour chat sessions.
The three diagnostic utilities (HDU, PDU, NDU) have been tried over and over. When the printer is in its disconnected state, the DU’s usually don’t detect the 6500A at all, or if they do detect it, they are unable to fix anything. Frankly, it’s easier to just power the printer off (which takes about a minute) and power the printer back on (which takes more than a minute) and then wait for the spooler to kick in (usually about 30 seconds). BUT WE DON’T CONSIDER THAT A SOLUTION!!
B.L.A.B. (Bottom Line At Bottom): We have used up nearly the entire black ink cartridge and at least a ream of paper troubleshooting this brand new printer, to no avail. This printer is useless to us unless it can maintain a wireless connection reliably. Please help!

(Note: we have an appointment from about 11:20 am EDT – 1 pm EDT, 8:20 am PDT till about 10 am PDT)I bought the Officejet 6500A Plus about one month and have experienced the very same problem. I tried to remedy this problem following suggestions in a number of different posts (static IP, router, firewalls etc), all to no avail. Last week I called support. The support I received by the tech over several hours and different days for a week was very good. However none of his suggestions corrected the connection issue. After today's recommended fix failed, he advised HP is aware of this issue with the 6500 and other affected printers. He claimed HP was working on a firmware upgrade. He did not know when the update would be provided. The tech also claimed HP acknowledged this problem in a written announcement. He agreed to email the announcement to me. I haven't received it. This has been the only problem I've had with the 6500

My insert statement is not working.
I have used follwing code to update z table .
INSERT ztable FROM TABLE gt_table.
here i have checked gt_table and its filled up with all the records properly.
now the problem is in this table i have 15 fields and it inserts 14 fields of it but
the last field is never inserted though in gt_table i can see value for last fields also.
I have added this field in ztable recently . so i also used se14 to adjust table but still i am facing same problem.
please help me out.

You shouldn't use SM30 to view table entries. You use this transaction to maintain the table entries. Pure and Simple. -
BDC error BM302 : Internal unit &, language & is not maintained

I have Unit of measurements defined as below in T006A Tables ( Configured through CUNI tcode)

Through BDC Prpgram i have created an inforecord ( using ME11 transaction ), where Logon Language = HU. It is created successfully. When i try to open the created info record using ME12, the unit ( EINA-LMEIN) is displayed as '**' and it throws message "Internal unit DRB, language HU is not maintained ". When i Checked in database EINA-LMEIN is saved as '**'.
But when i create the Info record manually in ME11, No issues .The database EINA-LMEIN is correctly saved as 'UNT'.
I couldn't figure out the issue , whether problem is in my BDC program or Language dependent configuration of the unit in CUNI. Please help in solving this issue , Am i missing something ?

Start debugging "/h"
Once debugging starts - place Breakpoint At MESSAGE statement

Program control will stop at every message triggered and one of them would be you message. Check the code around the message (and call stack if required) and you might see the reason for the error

and try again. That's the reason tomcat getting down. System.exit(1) should not be used inside jsp. it will make the underlaying Servlet Engine to shutdown. -
Acrobat 8 does not maintain InDesign structure
I'm new to forums. I thought I had posted this problem yesterday, but cannot find it. So, I apologize if this is a repeat.
I use InDesign (CS3) to create forms that are exported to PDF using Acrobat 8 on a Windows XP platform.
The forms are uploaded to our Web. Users download, print, then fill in their information manually before submitting to our department. We cannot use dynamic online forms; the federal government requires hard signatures.
Our department gets thousands of forms submitted, all filled in manually. Not everyone is careful about their legibility and bad handwriting adds to our staff's workload. Therefore, this year we decided to create interactive fields.
We are a state agency and our Internet must be 508 compliant and accessible. Blind users' devices must be able to read the forms in a logical order to make sense of the information for them.
b The Problems:
The exported InDesign document --
] 1) does not maintain the reading order in Acrobat even though the structure looks fine in InDesign, and
] 2) treats separate frames (sometimes) as if they were one frame, causing unrelated text to be grouped within one tag.
I could work with the Touch-up Reading Order to change the reading order (but I should not have to!!). However, with some of the frames arbitrarily grouped together it is impossible to create the correct reading order for the blind, because I cannot separate the grouped frames.
b My Method of Creating Forms in InDesign:
] 1) Initially, I used styles (heading1, heading2, normal, etc), assuming Acrobat would recognize them as it does MS Word styles. That didn't work.
] 2) I mapped my styles to the tags, but the results were the same.
] 3) I even created two layers with my text on the top and my backgrounds on the second. Same results.
Because I created a 23 page document in MS Word that Acrobat handled beautifully, with no problems in reading order, I assumed InDesign and Acrobat would be compatible and even easier to work with. I am baffled as to why there seems to be a disconnect between InDesign and Acrobat.

I guess the only consolation is that we are not nuts! InDesign and Acrobat don't communicate as well as advertised. I work at a large university (36K students and over 3600 staff). I sent a message to our Web development group on this subject, and the only reply was someone else have trouble with reading order.
What is interesting is that I created a Word document of 26 pages, and it converted beautifully to PDF, except for the tables. Word 2003 has no way of creating accessible tables, but supposedly Acrobat does. Wrong! They provide the tags, but when applied, go unrecognized by the PDF Read Out Loud.
Considering the fact that 508 compliance is the law of the land, it would be nice if someone from Adobe read these messages and create patches that will solve these problems. Adobe developers: Are you out there? Are you paying any attention? -
Preferences in Agenda are not maintained
The preference settings in Agenda for "Show weeknumbers" and "Open activities in seperate window", are not maintained.
Do other people face the same problem?
Has anyone a solution?Okay - I think I'm good now. I had to manually edit the monitor.xml file
and set up all of my preferences -as Danita described in another post as a
bug.
I couldn't just restart the monitor agent, however. I had to reboot my
server, manually run my ncpmount statement then run the grpwise-ma script.
If I could ever figure out how to write a script and where to put the script
for the ncpmount I'd be in great shape. :)

Continuing ...I finally traced it down to the java.beans.Statement class, which has the following bit of useless code:

Note that I cannot debug it as the error occurs on a live environment which handles thousands of interactions an hour.I don't think you understand the problem. The code quoted is JRE code, notice the class name "java.beans.Statement". I searched the entire JRE source to find something that could be generating the "phantom" exception, as niether my code, nor the third party CORBA code (according to the supplier), output that message.
java.beans.Statement is the only class in the entier JRE that outputs that message in that format, hence it has to be the class reporting the error. Unfortunately, someone in thier wisdom commented out the stack trace code before compiling the JRE, so I have no way of telling what casused the error.
So I need to know if there is a way of rerouting or overriding or something, just so I can see the stack trace. -
Java.beans.Statement & java.sql.Statement
My old code from jdk1.3.1 throws the ambiguous class thingie-mo-bob. Why did they implement the new java.beans.Statement, and is there anyway to make it default to the old java.sql.Statement without having to go through all the old code and add import java.sql.Statement. I have like 200 jsp files 'n it will take a loooong time!

}What? Are you suggesting he edit the source code for java.beans.Statement and make it implement java.sql.Statement?? I would most certainly not suggest that solution- beside violating the licensing agreement, it has troubling consequences since you are basically redefining the structure of a class in a way that makes no functional sense- that is, there is no reason for java.beans.Statement to implement methods like getConnection() and the other signatures of java.sql.Statement.
I'm not sure if I'm reading your response correctly or not, but I would definitely not refactor java.beans.Statement just to get this problem solved with out editing files ... ... since java.sql.Statement is used so widely, perhaps they should have considered a different name for java.beans.Statement , although you hate to base a name off of what's going to cause the least problems, rather then what makes the most sense ... ... any way, I guess it doesn't matter now: the name has been selected .... I'd be interested to hear how you solved the problem. -
Where is Global State/Providence data maintained?
I have a need to add values to SP contact, SCRM contact, and eQ fields holding State and/or Providence dropdown list(s). Right now this list(s) contains only information for USA states and sometimes CA providences. I need to add in values for some other countries. Can I get assistance from the forum where and how this data is best modified? I am not finding a Global list in ADMN or Ext Attributes. Thank you. --Beckie

It true that the product doesn't provide an UI to maintain "States/Provinces".
That is the information of state is not as critical as the information of contry or others, user can free-input there as required.
Furthermore, supports may help users to add the frequently-used states/provinces to the system for improving operation.

Hi Guys Can some one tell me how to switch our sytems to maintained. When I go into system data maintenance through the web browser and click on a system I do a consistancy check and the systems comes back as not maintained. What do I have to do to get this to a maintained state?

Check all SAP-OSS rfc is working or not. Give you proper admin s000* user id and password in login details. RFCs are SAP-OSS and SAP-OSS-LIST-O01, not SAPOSS, SDCC_OSS and SAPNET_RTCC. Then update data.
Second option, manually you can enter service.sap.com and maintain you system data manually.
Hostname, ip address etc.

can someone please advise on what I should do? unable to uninstall the Itunes. I contacted the apple support and they could not help. has anyone gotten this error? Did some research some results show that this has occurred during updates on the itunes but has not seen how to successfully uninstall without getting this error. I attempted to use the control panel and uninstall but it provides me with the same error all the time. I NEED SOME Answers on this issue. Can you please help?!

If statement is not validating properly in JSP
Actually i'm new to Java..
The problem is when i take the parameter from another file which is an empty text box and i submit that. In the next jsp file i'am taking this value using getParameter("xxxx").
if i send the empty or some value to this parameter, the if statement is not validating properly.
here is my code in jsp....

example. Strings are objects so you cant check em
with == but with the standard method .equals This is true but is not the problem here.
@OP null and an empty length string are NOT the same thing. You probably want a check like
if(bgColor.length()<1)And you might want to trim the String first to get rid of whitespace. -
Insert statement does not insert all records from a partitioned table

I need to insert records in to a table from a partitioned table.I set up a job and to my surprise i found that the insert statement is not inserting all the records on the partitioned table.
for example when i am using select statement on to a partitioned table
it gives me 400 records but when i insert it gives me only 100 records.
