Beep sound for every minute in call recordings

Hi,
I am using cistera convergence server for call recordings. For every recording, I am observing a beep sound before the recording starts and followed by exactly every 60 seconds. I didn't see any beep in live calls. This is only when I play the recording wav file.
Cistera support guys said there is no problem on their server end and suggesting to check in CCM/IVR.
Can anyone suggest me?

I am not familiar with the recording system you use, but there is something in Call Manager that may be appropriate. This is often configured when you set up CUCM silent-monitoring for CTIOS.
Monitoring Notification Tone
A monitoring notification tone can be configured using the Service Parameter Configuration page in the CCM Administration Interface. There are two entries:
Play Monitoring Notification Tone to Observed Target
When set to true, this option will play the tone to the monitored party (usually an agent).
Play Monitoring Notification Tone to Observed Connected Target
When set to true, this option will play the tone to the party to which the monitored party is talking (usually a customer).
A monitoring notification tone can be configured using the Service Parameter Configuration page in the CCM Administration Interface/ Select Server/ Select Cisco CallManger (active) for Service. Look for "Clusterwide Parameters (Feature - Monitoring"). If these are set to true, set them to false and see what happens. A CM restart may be required.

If the information above doesn't solve your problem, you can also contact customer service. In most situations, you can request "call billing detail" at no (or low) additional charge, and your monthly bill would then automatically include detail for all calls, even though you're not paying an additional charge for them.
(As a sidenote, be sure to ask if there is an additional charge. In some areas there may be a per-page charge.)

What's happening if my Macbook Air beeps about once every minute?

I just upgraded my Macbook Air to OSX 10.8.1 the other day. Besides that, I diddn't install any new applications. Today, my macbook beeps about once every minute even when I muted it. What is going on?

ok, it turns out that this is just a mistake. the beeping noise doesn't actually come from my laptop... sorry about this. Please disregard the question. I love my mac, and Apple is amazing.

Lenovo L420 THINKPAD starts with a constant long beeping sound for atleast 1 min.

From few days my laptop starts with a long beeping sound for atleast more than 1 min, then comes a boot order option. I have no idea whats wrong with it,last time when it happened i had to change my harddisk. Guys anyone with expert ideas please help me,and as fast possible.

Nope. Not using a dock at all. I have to mention tho', that the machine already visited an authorized service. The motherboard was replaced, because it didn't recognise the power brick and refused to charge the laptop.
I'm guessing they didn't put it back together properly. Since I posted I checked the cpu / gpu temps and the cpu temps rise to 80-90 C just when I do a simple operation like delete a larger folder. I tried to turn on bluetooth to copy some stuff from my phone yesterday and for some reason it acted like i pressed fn+f4. Went to sleep. I pressed fn+f5 just for the record, but after a few times doing this, I found that no matter what fn combo I press it goes to sleep. I have to press the power button again to bring it back. Started playing piano on the rest of the keyboard and same thing. Going to sleep. The lcd went in off mode and disappeared from both the bios and device manager. I was back at square one again seeing my desktop only on the external monitor.
I suspect the tech guys who fixed it didn't put something back right + the fact that the cpu is so hot lets me believe that the thermal paste was not applied right.
I still don't get why all the hardware self test pass. Maybe I should do a stress test? Or should I just send it back to service?

Video and sound interupting every minute or so.

I am so aggrivated with my service. The picture and sound drop out and back on every minute or so. It happens so much it is impossible to watch television comfortably. I have tried using HDMI cale and have tried installing standard cabeling. I am still in my contract and need help. I sent emails to Verizon and got back generic emails. I have talked to friends around the country and they have the same problem. I can't believe that Verizon is so lax about doing something about this. People have the right to expect a better level of service than this especially for what the service costs every month. I would switch to directv but when I asked about that today I was only given the ability to change my programming within the FIOS service.

I'm having the same problem. I checked on other entries in the forum and apparently you have to change the feed from 1080i to 720p. That's not a very good solution though since Verizon advertises "crystal clear HD in full 1080i." There have been alot of other posts about this but nobody from Verizon has ever responded. Is there any word on this from Verizon on when they will fix this? I must say the problem is very frustrating and makes it almost impossible to watch TV without getting angry. I never had this problem with Comcast.
Again, Verizon, is there a solution to this problem that does not involve downgrading your HD feed?

How do you turn off beeping sound when you put a call on hold

I spend a lot of time on conference calls and get calls coming in on the other line which I want to switch over to. The iPhone's hold feature is great for just popping over quickly to the other call and then coming back to the first call, the problem is that there is a beeping sound to the audience on the fist call while they are on hold. Is there anyway to turn this beeping feature off, I don't want to disrupt the conference call while I flip over to the second call? Does anyone know if you are on mute, does it still beep for the party on the first call?

There is no beep on the line when I place a call on hold, whether the iPhone is on mute or not (just tried this by calling my desk phone then placing the call on hold). It may be generated by the carrier, instead of the phone.
A workaround may depend on your t/c system - for example, dialing *5 on ours places you on mute in the t/c system, not locally.

How do I stop VCA emails for every incoming phone call

I don't want all these emails cluttering up my inbox. I get an email every time I get an incoming call. Short of uninstalling Call Assistant entirely, how can I stop the email notifications of every single incoming phone call? I have made sure my settings do NOT request email notifications or alerts but it doesn't affect my getting these emails for every phone call that comes in. See example below. I added the header information manually.

I was told by tech support that emails from [email protected] were controlled by Verizon and began getting sent to customers VZ_ID that is not the same as the primary Email account email address, but is the same mailbox. Verizon disabled the "Glitch" and now my VCA and TV Caller ID does not work. I was told the email notification that is entered in the VCA configuration is not the same as the VZ_ID. They stopped the Emails, now I have to bug them to fix what they broke. Don't want to be bothered right now. It is a pain to have something work and then someone breaks it.

Stuck at grey screen with termite like sound for a minute

Hi all,
I am traveling and my macbook suddenly froze. It just gets stuck at blank grey screen for a long time. After a restart, I hear a few weird termite-like/knocking/clicking noises from hard disk area for a minute and then goes normal and then after some twenty minutes I see a question mark. I took out the hard disk and the sound is gone so I know it is definitely hard disk issue. My question is: what type of hard disk failure is it? Since it returns to sound normal after a minute, should I assume it is not mechanical failure and hard disk would be recoverable using softwares (like diskwarrior, data rescue etc.) ? I really don't have money and time to go to data recovery experts .
I consider myself an advanced user but I don't have any install discs either. I have some very important data and lot of hard work on my computer.

The following support article is somewhat outdated. Where it refers to booting from an installation disc, you should boot into Recovery (if running 10.7 or later) by holding down the key combination command-R at the chime. If your startup volume is encrypted with FileVault, you’ll have to unlock it in Disk Utility before you can do anything with it.

If you mean the click sound when using Internet Explorer or Windows explorer, we could trun it off through the steps below:
1. Open Internet Options-> Advanced->Under
Accessibility-> Uncheck the Play system sounds(This is the default settings);
2. Open the Sound personalization window (Right click the sound icon, then select sound ).
3. Under the sound tab, find the Windows explorer
under program events, select Complete Navigation,
select none; Then find the Start Navigation, and change it to none, see:

How do I create different alert sounds for various notifications?

i'm not near the techy many of you are, but this question is way basic even for me. sorry. but my phone makes the same sound for every single notification, new text, appointment reminder, battery fully charged (although that one always comes if and only if i wake it up, so sometimes it is on the charger longer than it needs to be ), download complete... it is the sound i set up under the settings, but i wonder if there isn't a way to change the particular sound for certain types of notifications so when it is across the room making noise i can register what sort of notification i'm getting without dropping everything i'm doing to go stare at my phone. and how do i get it to repeat/remind me of these notifications if i happened to miss the alert sound the first time? i am usually good at just figuring this stuff out, but at this point, my guess is it isn't possible. does this mean an app is my answer? recommendations? thanks!

Individual text message ringtones per each contact is not a feature of the stock message application. You will need a third party text message application from the Android Market for that.
Individual ringtones for phone calls from contacts is an option under the People/Contacts app.

Beep sound?

How can I make a beep sound (for example as a cue to the operator when an invalid key is pressed)?
AWT has Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().beep().
SWT has ... getDisplay().beep();
How can accomplish the same in FX? (The AWT call fails in an FX environment.)

alexThe fact if it works was not the question. But you're still right in a way - using the old AWT beep() functionality is still the way to go it seems. Or play your own sound through an AudioClip for example.

Sound for Sending Mail

I've checked all through the forum and can't find an answer, so I hope this is not a repeat...
Is there a way to have a different sound (that I choose) play for sending mail versus receiving mail? I can change the incoming sound in preferences and I've checked the box to have sound play for other events...but it always plays the same sound for every event.

I did further reseach and found if you substitute an AIFF file for the "Mail Sent.aiff" file in Mail's package\contents\resources - you can assign any sound. You have to rename the new file exactly the same as the existing. I backed up the original first for safety.
Why isn't there a preference for this??
