Before learning FLEX what i should do ?
I have started learning Flex programming blindly. Can anybody suggest me what things one should know before learning Flex. Detailed guidance is needed.
It really depends on your goals and background.
But in general, if for now you simply want to get at general Flex programming, don't buy a book, simply go the Flex 3 help system (here presented as a LiveDocs link for your convenience):

Even if you only go through these pages for a week and then go off on your own and start just building apps, you will have gained great insight into the major constructs present and necessary in Flex applications.
If you learn better through videos, then ToTal Training or lynda.com are good, though they don't compare to the above Flex 3 help system at all:

Yes, you have to uninstall first and then re-install using the disk 2.

My computer is shutting down before fully booting up. I am running the disk utilities program and have this message: Error: Disk Utility can't repair this disk . . . disk, and restore your backed-up files. Can anyone suggest what I should do next?

When Force Quit window appears, select the Safari if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Safari will quit.
Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

What mode should i put my computer in before travel
Ok, i will be bringing my macbook to school with me come this semester. what mode should i put the laptop in before putting it back into my book pack after a class to travel to another class. So im looking for a mode like sleep, completly shut down, etc. that will be safe to move the laptop around. preferably a mode that has a quick start up time so i can put it into whatever mode, travel then put it down and quickly restart taking notes. thanks

That is complete untrue. Sleep mode puts the HDD to sleep, basically OFF (Not Spinning) so the SMS does not even come into play when in sleep mode.
If you carried your notebook with the lid/screen open and not in sleep mode then you do depend on the SMS to Dock the HDD heads when a sudden movement may/might damage the drive. This is not the case in sleep mode even with the lid/screen open. -

Gbu.Brave man ... C is powerful but memory management (pointers, pointers = the location of a array, etc) is absolutely critical.
Keith may disagree, but I have found the best C manual to have with me at all times is a white book, big letter "C" on the cover (imagine that!), "The C Programming Language" by Kernighan and Ritchie ... the authors of C. About 250 pages, but even at $65 (last I saw) is a remarkably succinct "reference" to always carry. -
What is the best format to import images into iBA? How should I compress my images before importing? What is the best file format? PNG? Jpeg? I'm trying to figure out the best file format / compression for importing images into iBA. Also, does anyone know how iBA will compress the file? Hae you tried to do a hard reset of your phone? This will not lose any data. Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the phone turns off ignoring any slide to power off messages. Then power the phone back on.

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit. -

you should probably charge it. Plug it into the wall charger and let it sit overnight. Then hold both the crown and side buttons together while it's charging for 10 seconds or more and it should turn on.

What precautions should I take before upgrading to iDVD 06 (and iLife 06)?
I have read a few people's experiences on this site about problems encountered after upgrading to iLife 06. I am about to do this and wondered what how I should go about backing up my iDVD and iMovie 5 half-completed projects in case they don't work properly in version 6.
Will a half-completed iDVD 05 project seemlessly covert to iDvd 6 after installation or should I complete it in 5 before upgrading? If I should go ahead and upgrade, in case there are problems, how do I back up my projects in case I need to reinstall iLife 5 to work on them again?
Thanks in advanceAlso, I forgot to mention, I had read that not all the themes that are accessible in iDvd 5 are accessible in iDvd 6 - is this true? If so, what happens if I have used one in my half-completed projects?

is there any book which concentrate on real project?It depends on what your real project is going to use. You can start by looking at the introductory J2EE text and decide which part of J2EE you want to start with. Servlets and JSP are usually the easiest to start with. -
