Benefit Cost entry

Hi Guys
wondering is anybody has used tools like LSMW or CATT to upload benefit cost values in V_5UBI_A. my LSMW gives error messages. Remember, this table is different from other PAnnnn tables where LSMW works like a charm. we are using the following fields:
V_5UBI_A-BPLAN ( benefit Plans)
V_5UBI_A-BCOST (Cost Rule Variant)
V_5UBI_A-CSTV1 (Cost Grouping)
Since same Benefit plan has multiple benefit cost variant and under one single cost variant has multiple cost groupings, LSMW give error that field 'BPLAN' has entry in there.
That's why I say this table is different from any other PAnnnn tables where I have used LSMW dozen times.
Please let me know if anybody has ever used any or the tools to upload benefit cost value in V_5UBI_A. Use of any 3rd party tool is out of question.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks
Wills

  • Benefit cost reporting in ad hoc query

Is it possible to use ad hoc query to report on future dated benefit cost changes?  I have tried several different ways but have not been successful.
I tried changing the date of the reporting period to match that of the effective date for the benefit cost change but the system still outputs the old costs.
I also tried using the benefit cost calculation date as a selection field and then enter the effective date for benefit change but that did not work either.
Does anyone have any insight?  Thanks in advance for your input!

Did you ever find an answer to your question?  I am having the exact same issue.  Unless a new infotype is saved with the dates that coincide with the cost configuration change, I cannot report on the new cost via Ad hoc or SAP query.  The only thing that works is the standard health plan cost report but my users prefer to use query so they can get every field they need.

  • Benefit costs stored on IT0167

When we enroll a biweekly person into their benefits using PA30 (as in an ecatt) it saves the benefit costs period as biweekly.  We need this to be monthly.  When we use benefit enrollment it saves correctly as Monthly.  We have been able to enroll using PA30 in the past and have it default correctly to monthly.  We have tried tofind how to change this default but have been unsuccessful to date.  Does anyone know how to make this field default to Monthly for all payroll areas even when using PA30 to enroll the person?  Thanks.

All of the appropriate Benefits and Payroll pieces are configured.  What is different is that in the past, when using PA30 to enroll Biweekly employees the time period saved on IT167 for the costs indicated the Monthly amount.  Now it saves Biweekly.  But if we use the Benefit enrollment process (HRBEN0001) it saves a Monthly amount on that infotype which is how we want it to work when using PA30.
We understand when viewing this infotype we can change it to Monthly and see the correct monthly cost.
The problem is that when we use SQ01 to report out the cost for Biweekly employees, the cost is reflected in the Biweekly amount and not the Monthly amount.
We cannot determine how to make the Biweekly cost reflected on IT167 indicate Monthly when the employee is enrolled into benefits using PA30.
    Thanks.

  • Benefit costs changes year after year impact

    Dear SAP gurus,
I am involved in benefits implementation now and as part of the implementation, I have the following query and request your expert guidance to help me solve the issue.
The benefit costs are changed year after year.  If an employee enrolls into a benefit during the previous year, the costs for that year are featuring in the BN infotype.  When the costs are changed for the subsequent year, the EE continues with the same benefit options hence there is no changes done to his benefit inofytpe.  The end date is end of period.
Now for this current year, how will  the new costs be displayed in the infotype.   Is there any process that should be followed in these cases.
Request your expert opinion on this.
    Thanks
    Lakshmi

Benefit costs are dynamically calculated and not store in the infotype record. Please note for Pension plans in Ifotype 169 you must update the records if the percentage or the amount changes, as these are stored in the infotype record.
You don't have to update the record in 167 and 168. However, there are some implications in payroll. Please check how these infotypes are processed in payroll if payroll is implemented as well. Consult with the payroll group with regards to how these premiums are to be reflected in payroll in the period where the premium chnage is effective. You will have the complete picture of what may be required to be done in benefits in terms of what the effective date of the configuration change will be and or if you may require to update the records in infotypes 167 or 168

  • Benefit cost calculation by removing cutoff dates;

Our client has benefit cost calculations configuration based on cutoff dates:
    1.     Employee Cost : Use Age of  1st January of the current year and Annual base pay of  01 October  of the previous year(if the previous record does not exist , consider the current record) in the calculation of employee cost(EECST)
    2.     01 st October  of the previous year annual base salary for calculation of employer credit
    Now client wants to remove the cutoff dates and wants cost to be reflected in the benefit info type with the change of age and salary;
    Iu2019ve tested the system by removing the cutoff dates in the configuration and here is the scenario;
    IT 0168 validity dates 01.01.2009- 31.12.9999
Salary increase in info type 0008 : 01.08.2009
    As when salary increased in the  0008 from 01.08.2009, cost and coverage amounts in 0168 changed as per the new salary in the existing record of IT 0168 from  01.01.2009;
    When I run simulation payroll with forced retro from 01.01.2009, the new benefit cost which are due to change in the salary are getting calculated from  01.01.2009 instead of 01.08.2009;
But we want the new cost should take effect only from 01.08.2009; probably split in the infotype 0168 with the date of salary change or age change may be solution?
    I can create this split in 0168 with dynamic action for salary change but I canu2019t do this for age changes;
Kindly advise us the better solution for this?

I worked out the solution as follows:
    1. For the employee insurance plans I assigned wage type BSAL as the calculation base in the Payroll > Payroll:USA > Benefits Integration > Enter wage types for plans config step.  This wage type accumulates the wage types used to determine the base salary used in benefit insurance coverage rules
    2. Update the wage type characteristics for wage type BSAL, (Personnel Management > Personnel Administration > Payroll Data > Basic Pay > Define Annual Salary > Wage type characteristics) setting the indirect evaluation module to ANSAL.
    3.  The indiect evaluation module ANSAL is where you assign the wage types that make up the accumulation wage type BSAL.  Assign the wage types that make up the BSAL accumulation wage type in Personnel Management > Personnel Administration > Payroll Data > Basic Pay > Define Annual Salary > Relevant wage types for annual salary valuation.
    4. In my case the wage types assigned to BSAL are the basic pay salary wage type and an additional payments (IT0015) wage type.

  • Employee benefit costs are not splitting based on Cost Center/InternalOrder

    Good Afternoon!
I'm having an issue with Employee benefit costs that are not splitting based on the cost center/Internal order splits entered on the timesheet. This was discovered while running the cost center report: PC00_MNA_CC_ADM.
For example- this employee has one cost center stored on the Infotype 0001 Organizational Assignment. No other overriding cost distribution set up on IT0027 Cost Distribution. Also, no other setup on OM- HRP1018 Cost Distribution.
Then, on the timesheet, 70 hours of regular time were recorded on the attendance type 2REG and also 10 hours of regular time (also 2 REG) were charged to a different cost center.
Then on the report the Health/Life section are not coming out correctly. On the original cost center from IT0001, the following amounts are shown: ER Dental, Posting Prescription, PPKP Posting, BN Posting Adm Fee, ER cr Flex life, ER cr flex ad&d.
On the other cost center (entered on the timesheet), only ER Dental, ER cr flex life and ER cr flex ad&d are there.
In addition to the the difference in the posting list, the amounts do not calculate out.
If I have 70 hours of regular time to one, and 10 hours of regular time to another, that should calculate out, but my amounts are off.
    For example:
    Cost Center#1
    ER Dental 61.92
    Posting prescription 173.62
    PPKP Posting 715.50
    BN Posting Adm Fee 26.32
    ER cr flex life 2.75
    ER cr flex ad&d 1.24
    Cost Center#2
    ER Dental 3.90
    ER cr flex life 0.17
    ER cr flex ad&d 0.08
If anyone has an idea of where my issue might be I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

The only good solution I have found is using the New General Ledger: Distribution of liabilities according to expenses.  I believe this is only available for users of ECC 6.0 and finance has to be using the new GL funtionality.  This will allow you to post the benefits and taxes to the cost centers associated with the earnings.

  • Urgent:Salary Costing to Multiple costing entries

    Hello,
I have the following Business Requirements:
Organization is having companies located at 2 different locations namely :Abu-Dhabi and Dubai. An employee who is a part of Abu-Dhabi can be transfered from Abu-Dhabi to Dubai may be for short term or long term. As an eg : An employee drawing 5000Dhs Salary works for the period 01st Aug-20th Aug in Abu-Dhabi and then from 21stAug to 31st Aug in Dubai.
The requirement is to transfer 3000 Dhs(Pro-rated salary for the period 01st-20th) to one costing entry corresponding to Abu-Dhabi and 2000Dhs(Pro-Rated Salary for the period 21st to 30th) to another Costing entry corresponding to Dubai.
Kindly let me know how to go about it.
    Regards,
    Gayatri

The Costing results can not be prorated currently. You can follow the below workaround.
    1. Create 2 Element links for the same element, each with one Location. Each Link should have relavant Costing Details.
    2. Define Proration Group and Proration Formula to the Element which prorates the Value whenever the Location is changed.
When you run the costing process after the Payroll, it would cost each Run Result (prorated) against the correct Cost Centre.

  • Delivery Costs Entries(BEWTP = F/G/I/M) related to PO in EKBE

    Hello..
I am new to MM and i have been checking the values of BEWTP field in EKBE.
I could see the following values related to Delivery Costs.
    BEWTP = F / G / I / M
Can any one tell me what does each stands for and How can i get an entry in EKBE for each of the above type?
    any help/input is really appreciated.
    Thanks,
    lt

    Hi,
The description for the PO history category can be found from table T163B.
The delivery cost related PO history will be updated in EKBZ table, not in EKBE.
The PO history category depends on the condition category used against the delivery cost condition type.
    1. If the condition category is B (Delivery Cost)  for the delivery cost condition type (in M/06), then the delivery cost history will be updated as below:
    During GR (EKBZ-VGABE =1),, EKBZ - BEWTP = F
    During IR (EKBZ-VGABE =2),  EKBZ - BEWTP = M and or EKBZ - BWTYP = K , if its account assigned PO.
    2. If the condition category is blank or F (Delivery Cost) for the delivery cost condition type (in M/06), then the delivery cost history will be updated as below:
    During GR (EKBZ-VGABE =1), EKBZ - BEWTP = C
During IR (EKBZ-VGABE =2),  no entry in EKBZ

  • Landed Cost entries

    Hi Experts
Can you please tell me where are the additional Costs added via the Landed costs procedure end up? I realise that the cost of the Unit price in an A/R Order is increased but the Total A/R Invoice does not seem to change to reflect this additional Cost. In other words if my A/R Order is for say £1000 for various Items and I have an additional £300 Landed Costs, my A/r Invoice (converted from the A/R Order/Good Receipt) is still at £1000 and of course this is not correct - where am I going wrong or is there something wrong with the Landed cost procedure?
    thanks for yor help

I managed to find the answer

  • Benefit Cost based on Participation Date

In the last couple of years we have added two new benefits plans for Accident Indemnity and Cancer Indemnity.  Now the plan rates are changing but only for "new" participants.  If the employee was already participating and is not making any changes then their cost is supposed to remain at the rate that existed when they enrolled.  However any new/changed participants will be paying at the new rate.
Also for the Cancer plan the cost is based on age groupings, but the employee's cost is not supposed to change as they grow older,  Their rate is set as of their age at a given date (July 1) for the year they enroll and again that rate remains in effect throughout the remainder of their employment as long as they don't make any changes (add dependents, etc.)
I can think of a few of ways to handle this - set the alternative cost amt on the infotype when the employee is enrolled, create a new "plan" every time the rate changes (but that doesn't take care of my "aging" problem) or attempt to use a user exit to calculate the cost.
I would appreciate any advice or other suggestions on how to handle these plans.
    Thank you!
    Gail Vogel

    Hi Gail,
I don't know if it would help, but as far as I know if the employee is not re-enrolled into the plan the rates change are not apply, the original rate at which the employee originally enroll to will always be used.
So actually you should not re-enroll the employee every year, as long as the cost rule/variant will still be in the system, even if they have been delimited, they should still be calculated in payroll.
    Best regards
    Sarah

  • Landed Cost not showing in Inventory Audit

I have a query that goes against the OIPF/IPF1 tables to locate all Landed Cost transactions for a particular item. To test/verify the query, I ran the Inventory Audit report for the item. There are transactions returned from the query that do not show in the Inventory Audit report. Is there any reason or circumstance under which a Landed Cost Transaction would not show in the Inventory Audit report. I checked against all warehouses. This does not seem to be a singular event in that I have found random occurences of this for different items yet the majority of the time the Audit Report returns all entries.

    Dear Cristian
    Please check the Following things.
1)First check audit report for a Single Product.
2)Select all warehouse in Audit report.
    3) Check you landed cost entry if your JV not pass in landed cost, so landed Cost not reflected in you audit report. (Auto JV not pass in SAP 2005 Version)
Please check and Let me Know.

  • To add cost in already posted Landed Cost document

    Hi experts,
i have created an landed cost against an GRPO and added my other costs against the GRPO, and then i have made an A/P invoice against the document, now my GRPO has been closed and the payment to the party has been done.
Later to add some cost against the landed cost, i am trying to use the landed cost option under copy from button by selecting the same vendor. but the earlier landed cost entry is not available for selection.
Kindly guide me with this process.
    Regards
    Pradeeo

    Hi,
It is not possile to change the posting period in a posted document, alternatively you can park the document form the external system and it can be posted in SAP after review by the user.
    Thanks and regards

  • Getting diffrent Actual cost from 0PM_OM_OPA_2 to 0pm_c01 and 0pm_c07

    Hi All,
I am using BI report for plan and actual cost deviation of Work order(maintenance order) of PM(tcode iw33>cost tab>plan actual cost to check),
question there is 2 query for this plan actual cost deviation, one on 0pm_c01(Maintenance Orders - Costs and Allocations) and second on 0PM_C07 Maintenance Orders: Scheduling, datasource is common 0PM_OM_OPA_2 for actual cost population in this cubes, BUT update rule are diffrent for both target,
in 0pm_c07 its getting update by 0pm_ds04(dso) where we are getting only Actual cost with Debit(S) Entery(as debit(S) entery hardcoded at start routine in update rule from this datsource to 0pm_ds04), for report on 0pm_c07actual cost is matching with standard ecc report MCI8 - PMIS: Cost Analysis.
in 0pm_c03 we are getting all Actual cost entry both Debit(S) and Credit(H), getting actual cost total as debit minus credit entry at cube 0pm_c03 and hence getting same on report on that, this report is same as like report on 0pm_c07.
both report are calculating Actual vs Plan cost relation ship, but one report(on 0pm_c07) have only debit(S) entry while other report(on 0pm_c03) have both Debit and Credit entery, So getting diffrent  Actual cost at both report hence diffrent Actual VS plan Cost relationship from both report,
Both are standard report given by SAP, Now which report we have to take it as correct one? which report is right?
    Regards,
    Dushyant.

    Hi,
Sorry, In my pain post whereever i written 0pm_c03 is wong its 0pm_c01,
as u said ur query on 0pm_c01 works fine? are u getting Debit(S) and credit(H) both entery for actual cost in this cube?
as in 0pm_c07 we are gettin only debit(S) entery and this report matching with standard ecc reprot( as i mentioned in main post ) BUT for 0pm_c01 its have both S and H entery. if ur actual/plan cost report on 0pm_c01 have S and H entery for actual cost than with ECC report you are reconciling?
    Dushyant.

  • Which Cost Objects to hit in Controlling

    Dear All,
Please guide which cost centres/ cost Objects should be chosen in case of the following entries in FI
    a) Revaluation of Inventroy based on Standard Costs ( Entry passed by system at beginning of the month)
    Inventory Ac Dr
Finished Goods Valuation Adjustement Ac Cr
Semi Finished Goods Valuation Adjustment Ac Cr
Presently entry passed due to above price change we are accounting under Procurement cost centre and treating the same as period costs. Is this treatment proper?
    b) Scrap generated during production is not possible to allocate the same to any specific production Order , hence the scrap loss entry  as mentioned below is accounted under production cost centre
    Scrap Loss Ac Dr
    Inventory Semi Finished Ac Cr
    inventory Raw Material Ac Cr
Whether scrap loss should be accounted under production cost centre or there any better way of accounting scrap loss in controlling ?
Please provide answers so that necessary configuration chages can be made.
    Regards
    Milind Nair

    Hi
Material reveluation (ie cost element) will be posted with cost center as cost object and Profit center will be geting profit center assignment with plant combination
Scrap should be treated as by product wich in return give credit to production order or product cost collector
