Hello Jayaprakash,
Are you using BEX Report, if so you cannot move the rows or columns using Excel function, but you have to use BEX function to move the cells
In the BEx Toolbar -> Choose Layout -> Choose the required fucntion to move the result
Thanks

  • IE7 Drill down issues

    Hi All,
we are having problems in disco viewer regarding the drill down issues when uisng the IE7, and i installed Jinitiator 1.3.1.26 and 1.3.1.28 and followed the following procedure based on the research i have done but still no results.
    In IE7:
Tools, Manage Add-ons, Enable or Disable Add-ons
Show: Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer
    Click on "shockwave flash object(flash9e.ocx)"
    Click Disable, Okay
    Restart Internet Explorer
Please any help will be great.
    Thanks

If you are going to go through the effort to apply 10.1.2.2 patchset, then you might as well apply 10.1.2.3 patchset (the patchsets are cumulative) and the latest Discoverer cumulative patch. The issue is fixed there as well.
Note 237607.1 ALERT: Required and Recommended Patch Levels For All Discoverer Versions
There was a one-off patch that only supplied a new javascript file (BIPopupMenu.js) for the version you are on. That would be a quick fix, but again I would recommend the latest patchset to avoid many other issues you may face on this version.
    Regards,
    Steve.

  • IE7 Drill down issue

    Hi
    I'm using discoverer
    OracleBI Discoverer 10g (10.1.2.2)
Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer Plus 10g (10.1.2.54.25)
Did any one come up with a solution for the "drill down issues when using IE7" ? I have tried the patchset in the forum but of no use.
    Thanks again

    Hi
Are you using Java or Jinitiator and which version? Do you have other users on IE7 who are able to run ok? Then you might want to look at the operating system. Are we talking XP or Vista?
What we need to do is rule out various causes one by one. Then if all else fails you should raise a service request with Oracle.
Back in 2007 I posted something about drilling and IE7 on my blog: http://learndiscoverer.blogspot.com/2007/03/discoverer-and-ie7.html
Here is the gist of that post: It seems Oracle have released a patch (5758865) , available on MetaLink, with the fix for IE7. This is a one-off patch and requires a password which means you will have to raise a service request and tell Oracle you are having trouble drilling in Viewer when using IE7. This patch is applicable whether you are using relational or OLAP modeling. The downside of this patch is that it can only be applied on top of 10.1.2.2. You can get the 10.1.2.2 patch (4960210) also on MetaLink. Be warned though that 10.1.2.2 is not a small patch. It is 1.6 GB in size and is a full upgrade of the 10.1.2.0.2 application server.
Is this one of the patches that you tried?
    Best wishes

  • Webi Drill down issue - SQL AS

    Hi Guys,
Did anyone encounter the following issue?
There are 4 dimensions(one of them is Date) and 1 measure in my Webi Report.
When I drill down from one measure to another, the SUM of that measure will not the same with its upper Level.
    For example, Level 1 is:
    Country   total sales
    China       1000
Then drill down to Level 2:
    Region  total sales
    North    100
    South   200
    West    300
While, the SUM of  total sales of the three region is not equal with China.
Your help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Daniel

    1. Please check your SQL Query gives Country - Region Wise perfects output/result or not..............
    2. Check any Filter is set or not (from info view/edit Query/universe)
    Please check correctly.
    Thanks

  • Hierarchy drill down issue at the lowest level

    Hi,
In OBIEE 11.1.1.5 I face an issue with drill down to lowest level of presentation hierarchy (expanded by "+" in report). It happens only for combination of 2 dimensions presentation hierarchies in analytics report (parent-child organizational structure + level based product categorization). Aggregated date comes from OLAP but lowest level product information comes from relational database and this details are not displayed.
First I drill to particular sales rep in organizational structure. Then for that sales rep I need to drill down product hierarchy and it works except lowest level of details. At the lowest level of product hierarchy, query sent to database (I have it from logs) return proper results (checked directly in db) but report behaves the way like there are no details at the lowest level and product details are not displayed.
Both (Organizational structure, Product) dimension presentation hierarchies works ok at all levels when used separately. Also product hierarchy works well at all levels (including OLAP->relational drill) when used togather with other level-based hierarchies in subject area.
I am wondering what I could have done wrong...
    Advices are very welcome!

Hierarchy keys are set properly and "use for display" is checked.
Dimension presentation hierarchies does not work only when I use particular two hierarchies togather in one report table. When each of hierarchies is displayed separately it works ok.

  • Drill down issue in report painter report

    Hi-
We have an issue where the drill down in one of our report painter reports isn't working.  When the user tries to drill down, it says the list contains no data.
However, if the target report (of the drill down) is run first, and then the report painter report is run, the drill down will then work properly.
We need to know where to check to get this fixed.  It has us stumped.  The report painter report is associated with a report group.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

Just needed to update the variant from the calling program's report group.  Duh.

  • Essbase Add-in and Office 2010 double clicking drilling down issue

We have Office 2010 and Essbase Add-in 6.5.4 and some users are having issues when double clicking to zoom in. When using the double-click to drill down, it flashes a few times and drills down to the lowest level even though it is setup to zoom to the next level. It works when you use zoom in from the menu and this doesnt happen to all the users. Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

We had similar issue but with lower versions of excel where a double click acts continously till the lowest level is reached for the member selected. Notice that all the members are not at the lowest level, it only happens for the current selected cell in excel.
In my case a re-install of add-in worked. Have you tried re-installing add-in. See that unistall is complete before re-installation. As you understand the problem is not with all machines/users, hence it should not be an issue with add-in.

  • Drill down issue ON ESSBASE

    Hi Experts,
    OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0,
    the mutipdatasoure is ESSBASE 11.1.1.2
In Essbase databases we use the “code” as the Member name and the “description” in the Alias, when we click the Alias name in answer for drill down horizontally, it will generate the following error message, maybe the Alias column lead to this problem and do not find the exact value in ESSBASE member name. How to solve this issue?
    Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 96002] Essbase Error: Unknown Member [Dim_Region].[China] used in query (HY000)
    SQL Issued: SELECT 0 s_0, "Sales Cube"."Region"."Country Name" s_1, "Sales Cube"."Region"."Region Name" s_2, SORTKEY("Sales Cube"."Region"."Country Name") s_3, SORTKEY("Sales Cube"."Region"."Region Name") s_4 FROM "Sales Cube" WHERE ("Region"."Country Name" = 'China') FETCH FIRST 65001 ROWS ONLY
    Note:
When we use “code” as the Member name for drilling down ,it will be successful.
In physical layer, we change member name into Alias default in display column area.
    Code:
    1001(Alias China+)
    10011(Alis North+)
    10012(Alis South+)

    Any suggestions?

  • Xcelsius Bubble Chart - Drill Down Issues

    Hi ,
    Product : Xcelsius SP 3
I have a bubble chat with 7 series. The chart is showing up bubbles with different size and colors as per the settings.
The problem is with drill down
I want to drill down to a X-Y chart when I click on bubbles. Each bubble click will drill down data into that X-Y chart as a pop up. I know how to do it as I have done it in the past with other components.
But when I use drill down with bubble chart, I have to assign separate destination area for each series which makes it difficult to drill down into a chart. What i want is the bubbles to drill down data into a single row so that I can map the Y-axis of chart component to that row and X axis as fixed labels. But I am not able to do that. Moreover once inserted there is no way to clear the destination cells.
However if I use data in range options in bubble chart then I can use drill down as I get only one series in that case. But that method also has limitations.
    1. I am not able to display series name on the bubbles. It doesn't make any sense to show bubbles without any labels.
    2. All bubbles are of same color.
Is it possible to overcome above two limitations when using data in range option?
Please help if someone has encountered this issue. There has to be some solution for this.
    Thanks,
    Tarun

    Hi Tarun,
as a workaround you could define a special area as mapping area for the X-Y-chart.
This area is filled via excel formulas from the bubble chart drill down destinations. You can concatenate the values from the drill down target areas, like "=A4&A5" etc. Make sure to clear all cells except the actual drill down target cells.
    Hope this helps,
    best regards

  • Drill down issue in bubble chart

    Hi all,
I have 2 series, which showing project wise value . I want to see details info about that particular project. Problem is that when i map source and destination in drill down for 2 different series. It will not allow to map source data to same destination for 2 series .Because of that drill down not working properly.
Pls suggest me how to solve that problem.
    Regards,
    Anish

    Hi Anish,
There is "Series Names Destination:" parameter on Drill-Down (Insertion) Tab of Bubble chart component. By using that parameter you can retrieve selected serie. Via that value you can extract selected serie's selected value and drill down to required selection via some excel formulas like index-match or vlookup-hlookup. I hope that solves your issue.

  • OBIEE 11g drill down issue

    Hi,
I've configured a hierarchy (level-based) on clustering attributes: info_data(id,gender,age,region,category,relevation_date,cluster_name) dimension_data(foreign_id,occurrences) in which the hierarchy is defined as: gender ->age -> region. I've done the same type of hierarchy on other business models (also other tables) and it worked as expected.
In this configuration, instead, the drill-down seems to collapse into the detail level directly: for example if I make a pie chart where I put as pies the gender distribution (M/F) and I click on the pie with "M" I expect to have a pie with the age combinations, but what I have is that also the id (which is the display column for the detail level) shows up making the chart unreadable (all combination of age/id for "M"...as id is unique every pie as the same size).
I've done some research and tried some workaround I see for similar problems like marking the hierarchy as ragged, but the problem still remains. Any idea?
    Thank you in advance.

Which release do you use of OBIEE ?

  • Discoverer 10g r2 (SSL) drill down issue

    Hi,
We have encountered a strange drill down problem with Discoverer Viewer. When configured to run in SSL mode on port 443, the drill feature in Discoverer Viewer doesn't work. When drilled, the generic html message "This page cannot be displayed" is seen. The problem disappears when the SSL port is changed to 4443 or when SSL is disabled. We don't come across this problem in Plus, no matter what the port is.
The discoverer version is 10g r2 on Linux 2.4.
Has anyone faced a similar problem? Thanks in advance for your inputs.
    Regards,
    Chethan

    Hi ,
    1. You need to include Perl 5.6.1 (or later) installed and in the PATH.
    2. Set the ORACLE_HOME environment variable to point to the BI Midtier Home.
    3. Add %ORACLE_HOME%\OPatch in the PATH
4 . Once the one-off patch bundle is downloaded extract the patch contents under a directory
    5. Stop the service using opmnctl stopall
    6. Run Database OPATCH utility with the right parameters to proceed with the patch installation
cd <directory where the patch contents were extracted >
    opatch apply
    7. Start the service using opmnctl startall
You can see the list of patch installed by opatch lsinventory
    Thanks,

  • Drill Down Issue

    hi all,
I have a parent report with 5 fields. out of which 3 fields are calculated field.
i have to provide the drill down for those calculated fields.
    eg: parent
    A1 A2 A5
    >1 =1 <1
    aaa 12 1 -2 22
    bbb 2 1 0 11
I have given the drill down for the ranges in A2
    Child report displays everything.
If the user clicks on the value 1 then only that one value in child report should be displayed.
i have made "is prompted" for the column A2 in both parent and child report.
but still i am not able to get the proper drill down values.
    pls give me some suggestions...
    thanks,
    ilazz

On the summary you have total not based on the location
In the detail you are grouping the amount by location for the JAN 2011 which will not be equal unless you have loc in summary.
Hope you have month & location are prompted and your summary data matches with the Database value.
