BEx web report selection screen entries retain when closing and opening the report again

Hello all,
please help me in the below query.
Till last month the entries we made in BEx web report selection screen are retained in the selection screen even when we close the web report and open it again from portal without logging off. But recently this functionality is missing and the entries in selection screen are not remembered when we close and open the same report again. It is a good feature for the users. Have you come across this issue?

No...I think i can reframe the question very clearly......For ex: we are opening a Bex Web report...so initally we would be prompted by the variable selection screen...in which we have to give the entries(Values) for those variables like Cal month, Sales org, Company code, etc.....Later on the report will get open based on the values we have given......
Now if we close the particular report without logging off then if i try to open the same report that selected values are missing.....earlier it used to remember the values we have given until we log off....But now that functionality is missing....It was very useful feature.....Can you please tel me what can be done to resolve this??

In my requirement, I want Number of Entries icon on my report selection screen.
Means when i insert the required selection parameter's, then i want to see the total number of entries, which is come after the execution of my report.

I have extract the part from the above link.
if u want to display the no of line items, as shown in SE16, u create a SET STATUS with a push button with name No of Entries on the report screen.For that status, u write the code as to display no of lines in ur table by using either
DESCRIBE TABLE itab LINES lin.
lin gives the no of line items.
or
select count(*) from vbap.
write sy-dbcnt.
U got require output, when ur pressing No of entries button, then this will display on the output screen.

i have a requirement that i want to use the selection screen entry of my zmodule pool to the selection screen of a zreport and want to use its output in my module pool.
how could i do this in my module pool programing??
i hope u get my question, i want to use the output of my zreport in my module pool with the same selection screen as given in module pool.,directly in my module pool output without opening my zreport seperately for this same selection screen data

Hi,
You can use SUBMIT statement in your module program to call the zreport program in background.
Press F1 on Submit statement and you will find required detials of this statement. For using submit statement
you have to create an internal table of type RSPARAMS and pass it in the submit statement.
eg.

You have most of the info already here. Just use Query Builder to pull back the rest of the object info and you'll have what you need. I'm not sure which report you want, but either can be achieved in much of the same way. You'll need to know the parent-child heirarchy for the folder structure to determine where this report sits. once you have this info, open the CR designer and open the report from the repository navigating the folder heirarchy you found.
1. Open "Query Builder" from the start | programs menu on the server. Depending on the version of XI you are using, the url will differ.
2. Execute a query similar to what you posted to bring back the info for the report object (not instances) with the name 'scorecard'. If multiple reports exist in different folders with the same name, they will all be returned.
SELECT * FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE SI_NAME = 'scorecard' AND SI_PROGID = 'CrystalEnterprise.Report' and SI_INSTANCE = 0
3. Look for SI_PARENT_FOLDER attribute and query on this ID next. That should give you the name of the parent folder the report sits within.

4. You will need to keep querying for the parent in order to work your way up the folder tree.

Hiding Screen fields in a Report selection screen

I have a requirement to hide/disable screen fields in a report selection screen when the user clicks on some radio buttons .
Here is the scenario,
1) There are 4 radio buttons four radiobuttons in one group on the selection screen:--

Please help me with below requirement or what user exit should we use to implement below requirement. I have discussed with with ABAP and gave some User exits that has related description, however, ABAP confirmed that none of below UE suits the requirement.
1. AD010002 - Delimit selection and/or filter data that is determined
2. CLCLRS01 - Additional Fields on the Result Screen
3. CLCLRS02 - Fill the Additional Fields on the Result Screen
4. V60P0001 - Data provision for additional fields for display in lists
5. WVLB0001 - Display additional data in subscreen for simulation list

Requirement:
The field u201CCustomer-material numberu201D or field name KDMAT need to be included in the current VA01 selection screen or list when creating sales orders with reference from a contract.
Currently, customer have its own description or material code to classify or define the product they want to order which are sometimes not exactly the same as the material number maintained in the system or the product / material code used by the Company for sales. These material descriptions were manually entered in the system thru the use of customer-material number field or KDMAT. When sales orders or contracts are created for certain or specific customers, the user or the person who creates that contract / order manually inputs the description in the customer-material number field.
The said entry should also be seen in the Selection List for Reference Document. The transaction to be modified is VA01 under program screen SAPMV45A specific to screen number 4413.
Test Data used:
Reference Transaction: VA41 (create contract), VA43 (display contract)
Order Type: ZCQ (example)
Contract No. 40000040
Transaction: VA01
Order type: ZOR (example)
Contract No. 40000040
a. Go to tcode VA01, input the order type ZOR, click the button CREATE with REFERENCE.
b. Input the reference contract document, since our reference doc is a contract, go to tab CONTRACT and input the contract no..
Expected output:
Upon inputing the contract no. in the contract tab, click u201CSelection Listu201D.
The customer-material number or KDMAT should be included as one of the field and should be displayed in the Selection List for Reference Document window.

Thank you for the responce.
The reason why they want to reflect KDMAT in the selection list is that, during order creation, not all materials or KDMAT will be ordered by that customer, only specific materials. However, during order processing, the customer only gives the details of the KDMAT. Thus, if there are around hundreds of items inside that contract, the sales personnel who creates the order needs to exclude those material not included in the customer order list manually via checking table VBAP and compare the material code from the selection list.
This is very tedious on their part and commonly caused human error, however, when the KDMAT field is available, although the process has manual intervention, it will serve them well and lessen the burden.

If you generating the LIST using the classical approch you cah use the SCROLL LIST keyword for this purpose.
Like:
DATA: L_PAGENO TYPE I.
L_PAGENO = 3.
START-OF-SELECTION.
DO 100 TIMES.
WRITE: / SY-ABCDE.
ENDDO.
SCROLL LIST INDEX 0 TO: PAGE L_PAGENO.

Table Control on a report selection screen -not a dialog transaction screen

Hi
Does anyone know of a way to have table control functionality on a report selection-screen? The program needs to be able to run as a background job (ie cannot be a dialog transaction) and we need to be able to save variants with the selection-screen values.
Any help would be appreciated.
The key point is we want to allow the user to enter a dynamic number of rows of table data on the selection-screen, save a variant containing that data and execute the program with the variant as a background job.

Hi Nicole,
The main problem is how to persist the data. If you are not able to create a couple of tables then you could always utilise TVARV instead. On a similar line to my original post you could have the button call a dialog transaction. In here you could do your normal GUI table control. When saving the data simply transpose each column into a separate select-option held on TVARV keyed by the 'variant name' + fieldname. Then retrieve and transpose this back when executing the report.
Other methods could be storing the data in cluster xy (see EXPORT TO DATABASE command).
This seems a bit overkill for what would be a couple of maintenance dialogs.

PS. The view cluster is just a way of hierarchically performing table maintenance across multiple related tables. It offers a good UI for this purpose (header and item config tables) and is utilised extensively in the IMG.

Table control in report selection screen

I have a selection screen with some fields. Now, below these fields, I need a table control in which i will have input parameters with 3 fields so that i can enter data in combinations and use the same while executing the report like an internal table.
1. I should be able to save it as a Variants.
2. I should be able to schedule a background job.
I found similar notes but they dont help me save variants and with job schedules.

In the selection-screen u can generated a tabstrip:
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF TABBED BLOCK MAX FOR 22 LINES.
SELECTION-SCREEN TAB (25) TABS1 USER-COMMAND UCOMM1
DEFAULT SCREEN 100.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK MAX.
So the system'll generate a tabstrip in the selection-screen, here it'll load only the screen 100.
By screen painter u have to create a subscreen 100 where u insert your table control.

Object text not coming in report selection screen

Hi,
i have an object task type for which text has been loaded.this is included in one reports selection screen.But in F4 only kee is displayed and not text.If check button is pressed text is displayed besides key.Also text doesnt come after report is executed.

Hi Prasanna,
In the Query Designer goto the properties of the required object that you want to display key and text for it, Select the Key and Text Display option. Then you can see in report key and text for that object.

I was wondering whether one can dynamically enable/disable input fields on a selection screen of a report-program.
Or is this only possible for selection screens in dynpro-programs?

yes..You can dynamically disable and enable inputs fields in the selection screen..
Check this ex..If you press the first radio button..The second input will be disabled...And vice versa..

ECCS : custom characteristics into standard report selection screen

I have added a custom characteristic which is also a subasignment to the EC-CS module.
This field now appears into the standard report selection screen as expected.
I want to define this field as a mandatory selection field, do you know if this is possible? (exemple of standard report CX34A)
