BI Publisher Word Template The report does not contain any data fields.

I have OBIEE BI Publisher report (10.3.4) working fine using BIP but using MS Word 2003 I want to create new template and want to add charts etc.
Step 1. In MS Word I successfully login Oracle BI Publisher as Administrator
2. Oracle BI Publisher -> Open (I open the report)
3. Go to Insert -> Table Wizard
I get this error:
The report does not contain any data fields. Please make sure that the reports generates data with the default settings or provide a valid XML file.

How do I load XML data? Also why XML data load is required? Do I have to export XML data from BIP View screen and load from the same file from the word?

Hi,
while creating new Logical Component via SMSY , you need to specify Product first.
e.g. if you managed system is ERP 6.0 , select Product as SAP ERP
once you select Product , it automatically fetches information for product Version and Main Instance depending upon Product field input.

File Screening Audit Report does not contain any data : report statistics is empty

Hi ,
I have enabled File screen audit and Record file screening activity in auditing database options in file server 2008.
I am getting details of file screen audit in Event log , But incident report file screen audit report does not contain any value.
Getting report for each incident of file screen audit , But it does not contain any data in report statistics.
Data available in scheduled report of file screen audit.. not available in incident report only..

Please note that, If the Record file screening activity in the auditing database check box is cleared, the File Screening Audit Reports will not contain any information. To configure file screen audit, I would refer you on this informative

Definitely it is cardinality problem, please check that... Try to understand below points to avoid such error.
When a node is created in the context of a Web Dynpro component, the cardinality of the node is specified. The cardinality defines how often a node is to be instantiated at runtime u2013 that is, how many elements of this node are available at runtime.
u2022        1u20261          Only one element is instantiated.
u2022        0u20261          At runtime, no more than one element is instantiated, but it is also possible that no element is instantiated.
u2022        1u2026n          n elements can be instantiated, but at least one element must be instantiated.
u2022        0u2026n          The number of instantiated elements of the context node can vary.
The cardinalities 0..n and 1..n correspond to the declaration of an internal table. The cardinality 1..1 corresponds to the declaration of a structure.

I have already uploaded master data.
I have created infosource added infoObjects to it and activated it to create communication strucure.
M using RSA1OLD transaction.
and assigned datasource to infosource ie source system name and clicked ok.
save datasource to infosurce assigned msg displayed, clicked ok.
transfer rules r created, i have also created update rules and assigned infosource to it.
then created infopackage n added execel file name .csv
in datatargets tab selected data target as infocube. n then in schedule tab start data load immediately and clicked ok.
everything is fine upto schedule n in monitor it does not display any data.
what will be the problem??

Are you loading the data from flat file or R3? If you are loading it from R3, why are you giving the Flat file name?
In this case, check in RSA3 (R3 side), whther the datas source is getting the value.
In case you are loading a flat file, you need to create a flat file data source and assign to the infosource.

ReportViewer control used with a remote report does not display any data.

I have this .rdl report that runs just fine on our reporting server (I can see that when I try to run the report by accessing its URL in a browser). However, when I run it in my Windows-based application, I do not see any data. My report has two input parameters
and it needs to impersonate the caller's identity because the database uses Windows Authentication.
Here is the code I use:

Good to know CR doesn't like joins of Stored Procedures to something else.
But in my testcase, I finally dropped the link between the ttx file and the stored procedure. Doing so, I was able to run the report from the designer with the stored procedure as datasource instead of the ttx file. At that moment, I still had missing data in my report, while the resultset of the stored procedure returns me all the correct data !
In the mean time, I changed the layout a bit, especially the text fields containing name, address, country and postal code and city of the customer, by just adding some spaces between those seperate databasefields. In fact, there is one text box with all those database fields concatenated one to the other.
And by just adding some spaces in between, my report works fine again ?!

CAT2 Time sheet does not contain any data on PPMDT

I have submitted my timesheet through CAT2 ,this timesheet data is triggered and go throught the task 'TS31000007' .
but when i open tcode PPMDT ,i am able to see my my timesheet in manager desk.
issues is when manager was click on timesheet to do some action,Manager got the message like 'no data found'.
Please help me here,if anyone accross this situation.

Sounds to me like an authorisation issue. Maybe follow up with your security/authorisation team?

Workbook does not contain any input-ready variables

Hello Experts,
We have one workbook which is not reacting when click on REFRESH or SHOW VARIABLE.
If clicked on VARIABLE screen it is throwing error "The workbook does not contain any input-ready variables" (screenshot attached)
Points I have checked are as below
1. If I create a new workbook by executing the respective query and refresh then it is working.
2. The file is in xls format and I have checked the USE XLS format under Global setting.
3. My Excel version is 2010. SAP version is SAPKW70105. BEx 7.X, support package 8.
4. It is not authorization issue otherwise the issue would have happened for the new workbook I created for testing.
5. Also I tested with user ID with SAP ALL access.
is there any way to repair the workbook so that it respond to Variable and refresh options ?

Spool file does not contain any text when PDF is printed

When we print some PDF files via Adobe Reader, the printjob does not contain any text.
In Adobe Reader I can select the text but when you print it, it prints it as images (polygons records in EMF) instead of text (e.g. EMR_TEXTOUT).
Two questions:
How can we make sure that Adobe Reader always prints text?
On what is the decision based in Adobe Reader to print the PDF document as an image or as text?

Well we are looking for this information, otherwise we would not have asked this question. I really hope to get in contact with a Adobe Reader printing specialist who could give us these answers.
There must be something that decides to print as image or with text.

Is this problem specific to one file, or does it happen with any file that you convert to PDF? How was the PDF created (using what application)?

Report does not display some data

Hi,
Using:
- Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 as development platform.
- Visual Studio 2008 to launch the crystal report.
- SQL Server 2005 SP3 as database
Crystal Report:
- rpt file has been set up for a couple of months, working fine uptill last friday
- dataset comes from a SQL Server stored procedure with some parameters. Executing this stored procedure with these parameters, returns the correct result set
- showing the report using the Crystal Reports Viewer, some fields remain blank since the beginning of this week. Why does the report does not show all the data that is in the result set of the stored procedure ?
Any idea for a solution ?
Any idea to debug such strange behaviour ?

Uploading AIR for IOS thru Application Loader I get the following error - The package does not contain an Info.plist.

I'm publishing an .fla in AIR for IOS.
I'm in CC 2014 so first I need to know which AIR should I publish in?
newest is AIR 14.0.0.178 for IOS
IOS deployment type is App Store
publishes with no error.
I see the following files included .swf and app.xml
I convert the .ipa to a zip file
Upload that thru the Application Loader I get the following error
The package does not contain an Info.plist.
Where is the infoplist for this and do I convert the .ipa and the info to a zip file?
I converted the .ipa to a .zip and the intoplist file is NOT THERE how do I generate this?

Ok this is becoming very very frustrating as I have been at this for hours now. So the only way to explain this is to write what I did step by step as I have to be doing something wrong, just to recap:
I was publishing from Flash CC 2014 using AIR 14.0 and getting Digital Certificate is not valid message.
Was instructed to download new AIR 17 , I did this installed into Flash and used to publish.
I used my previous p12, app ID and distribution certificates all generated properly.
The file worked ONCE but I got an app ID error ( I understood I used the wrong app ID)
I changed it to the right app ID and the very next time and after 10 attempts I got the same error Digital Certificate is not valid
SO I then downloaded AIR 16.0
RE DID ALL MY CERTIFICATES AND P12'S
went to publish and I STILL GET THE SAME MESSAGE Digital Certificate is not valid

Report painter execution error - GR657 - set does not contain any entries

During our execution of report we are getting the below error:
Set 0102PCBT1IPROVDIV in set 0002$ZA13#######ROW0236 does not contain any entries
Message no. GR657
Diagnosis
You cannot use empty sets to define reports. The single-dimension set contains a basic set that does not contain any values.
Procedure
Use a set that contains at least one value, or enter values for the set defined.
This has been discussed in a similar Thread in May 2010 by puri & Praveen Jagdeesan,
However I am unable to trace the set & how to delete the blank values.
0002$ZA13#######ROW0236 or ROW0236 in the system.
Set 1IPROVDIV is exisitng in system.
Also when we go to KAH3 - Cost element hierarchy & see in the where used list we are not able to see the set being used in the report whereas the system from where we have exported the report we can see that this set is being used in the report.
Please could you help in resolving the same.

ACS Report - User_Usage_Logon - not returing any data and the report never finishes

i'm trying to run the User Usage report, but not getting any data output.
i tried to open the report in the report builder to check the query,, but the query is in XML format and i'm not able to figure out the actual query that pulls out the data.
i need help on the below :
1. way to check , if the ACS database , does actually have any data.
2. to pull out the actual query from the XML data.

As we only have one report experienced this timeout issue. Given this situation, we can try the following steps to narrow down the issue:
1.Run the report directly through SSRS report manager URL to test if we still get this issue.
2.If yes, increase the timeout limitation for this single report.
3.As for further investigation, we can enable SSRS verbose logging by referring to the following steps:
Enabling verbose log in Reporting Services Instance :
To enable the verbose logging for the Reporting Services instance you have to follow below steps.
Go to location
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin
Find the ReportingServicesService.exe.config
file, make a copy first, and then open it in editor and change the below configuration.

You have to restart the Reporting Services from Reporting Services configuration manager.
4.After enable the verbose logging, reproduce this issue again by running the report, record the timestamp when we start the report, when the error popped up.
5.Then check SSRS log files at the following path, in the file which contain the issue time, check if there is any error message.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles
