"Billing block" status has been set.
One contract was incepted (Created) on 13.03.2008. BRI's also generated, BRI is nothing but which calculates the EMI amount with respective billing dates. But due to some reason all BRI got u201Cblock for billingu201D status. Because of that BILLING DUE list was not generated.
Now we are getting collection from customer and it is lying in suspense account.
Now, I need to know how this billing block status has set in all the BRI.How to rectify this.
Give me some clarity on billing block.

HI,
Billing block may be set at Status Profile. Check your status profile. Double click on Status and see behind whether there any Radio Button Set or not (Based upon your requirement).
You can also manually remove the Billing block status.

What does this mean? The bug (ORA_ROWSCN DOES NOT WORK WITH VPD POLICY ON TABLE ORA-904) has instructions on how to reproduce it and yet the status has been set to "Closed, not a bug". ?? Is the implication that one should not be able to user ORA_ROWSCN on a table that has a VPD policy?
The problem is due to the fact that when you create a policy for the table the table name ends up being used for a view instead, which does not have ORA_ROWSCN in it. So I guess they are saying "VPD intentionally makes a view. Views do not contain ORA_ROWSCN. Therefore, VPD and ORA_ROWSCN are incompatible"? Can't say as I'm thrilled with that answer.That's why I was looking into this as well. But I'm almost certainly going to be using VPD as well so it's kind of a non-starter as it is.
BTW, something to know about ORA_ROWSCN is that by default the # is for the entire BLOCK of data in Oracle. If you want each row to have it's own ORA_ROWSCN number then you have to specifiy a certain clause in the create table commands (rowdependencies). Also, if you want to convert the # to a timestamp, it's "only" accurate to within 3 seconds. -
When typing in gmail (firefox) or thunderbird, randomly foreign characters will be produced like the keyboard has been set to spanish or french, but it is set to english, and the character encoding is set to what it is supposed to be. Web pages appear correctly.

During Apple TV setup, I have not been able to complete the Home Sharing process. Computer/iTunes Home Sharing is setup, but ATV "blocks" its Home Sharing setup. After my Apple ID and password is entered, ATV reports a failure. Also, attempts to login to iTunes from ATV, ATV reports: "iTunes login failed - cannot sign-in until Network date and time has been set". It directs me to the Network tab, but there's no option to set date and time. I have no clue how to do that.

There are things to look out for to make sure your Apple TV can reach the network time server, such as ensuring port 123 is open and only using the DNS address provided by your ISP, but since it was OK one moment and not the next, my guess is these settings are already correct.
As for the restart, did you try restarting by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds. -
I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off". I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.
Can somebody advice.

Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.

Every time I start iTunes I get the message: "iTunes exec has been set to run in compatability mode for an older version of Windows. Turn off compatability mode for iTunes before you open it." How do I turn off the compatability mode? Particularly when I have to do it before I turn on iTunes.

Can you print from an iPad 2 using 3G in a home with no other computer or wifi by using an iPhone 5 hot spot connection if the printer has been set up in another place with live wifi? In that case, it should be possible. I haven't tried this directly, but I believe it should work.
You'll need to get an actual AirPrint compatible Printer.

Once you have the compatible printer, using the Hotspot feature from the iPhone he'll have to create the Wifi bubble form the iPhone, and connect the Printer to that Wifi network.
Then connect the iPad to that same Wifi network provided by the iPhone. When all that is done, the printer should appear in any of the Apps that can Print under the Action Arrow button.
For instance in email, pressing the action arrow should show a Print option. In there the printer should appear.
Alternatively you can simply buy a wireless router and setup the network through there even if there is no internet attached. Connect the wireless printer to the router network, and connect the iPad or iPhone to that same wifi network to print. -

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)

System throws up the message because the GL account you have entered has not made Tax relevant in the Control tab. 2 things I would like to point out -
a) Should you need the tax code for the particular GL account, then change the GL account master and make it relevant for tax.
b) If the tax code is not needed, then delete from the MIRO transaction and then post the document.
Important point - Mostly for all the MIRO transactions, tax code is made relevant for tax in the GL master.

txwyrickWell, there's a lot we don't know ... for example, if you have actually set up a calendar somewhere you're trying to sync to.

In addition to Niel's comments, if you plan to use Time Machine to backup a Mac to the secondary drive.....that application needs a drive that has been specifically formattted for Mac. That would be Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
PCs can also read and write to the Mac formatted drive.
