Billing due date change

I would like to know why my billing due date is being changed. I have been a long standing customer of AT&T back even when it was Cingular. I do not want my billing date changed at all. I have electric and car payment due at the middle of the month. Also it would have been nice if someone would have at least called me and gave me the decency of asking. I'm still trying to figure out how last month I got charged almost $100 over my normal bill.
Sincerely
Rebecca [edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.]

You can logon to your account and check bill details to find out why you were charged more.
ATT is standardizing the billing so that all customers have 3 weeks to pay their bill. It should have changed the dues date by only a few days.
If that is no the case, call support and see if they can change the date.

  • Can I change my billing due date?

Is there a way to change my billing due date to a different day of the month?  Having trouble finding any information and when I tried to call someone I was put through IVR hell.  Please advise.... thank you.

Yes.  You need to call Customer Service in order to do this.

  • Why did AT&T change my billing due date?

I think it's a simple question and only wish to get an answer from AT&T or someone who actually knows the answer.  Don't speculate, don't answer with an educated guess.  I don't mind change if the reason is explained to me but all I received was a vague text message.

I'm not making this a conspiracy. I'm asking a fair question about what I don't understand. My due date was the same for like 10 years, I don't know anyone else's due date. Why shouldn't I be inquisitive about this? Nothing from AT&T has explained to a layman why this benefits me but I have read how AT&T shareholders benefit greatly from this. Is transparency to much to ask?
No one has indicated that there would be a direct benefit to the customers to have 21 days from the end of the billing cycle until the bill is due.  The indirect benefit would be that this eases the training for customer service representatives so that they don't have to look up the region of the country that a customer is in when resolving billing due date concerns.  Also, this streamlines the billing system so that all billing due dates are calculated the same way.
I don't think that any question is too much to ask, but I'm wondering if you will ever be satisfied with an answer to this question.  Many posters have given you answers and not only do you reject the answer, you attack the person giving it.  There's no reason to attack the posters in this thread.

  • Bill due date

Can I choose my own billing due date?!

You can but be aware AT&T will still suspend your service, even with a due date you have set. I was suspended today and I put in a date for July 23rd. AT&T will do this to get you to pay a fee to restore. You have to watch them, they will rip you off.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the inputs.
I want to avoid the invoice split during invoice creation through transaction VF04 for  no. of delivery documents having different billing due dates.
I can club only 14 delivery documents via VF01 which will have the common billing date. Is there any other method of clubbing 25-30 delivery documents with different billing due dates in one invoice?

  • To track which line item the billing plan date changed.

    Hi All.
I have a requirment of tracking changes done for the billing plan date and whenever i change the billing plan date it will be reflected in the FPLA table. But i was not able to track to which line item of the subscription/order the billing plan date changed.
In the FPLA table there is a relation to the VBELN(subscription/order) only not POSRN(line item) is there. How can i track to which line item it got changed.
    Thanks for your help.
    Thanks,
    Neslin.

    Hi,
There should be entries in FPLTC for FPLNR found in table FPLA. Try from SE16, enter FPLNR preceded by zeros so that the total length is 10 and execute. For example,  FPLNR is 10, enter 0000000010.
    Hope it helps.

  • Reporting on SR Owner Change, Activity Due Date Change

We have few Report Requirements around Audit Trail. We are looking for Reports where we could Track Service Request Owner change, SR Status Change, Activity Due Date Change etc. As we know, In CRMOD Analytics, we cannot report on Audit Trail or use the PRE() function. Can anybody suggest any other ways for reporting on the Changes where we could show each and every change made to these fields and not only the previous values.

Lets Say you want to track status Change in SR. There are two ways of doing it.
    Option 1:
Create a Long text field in SR page.
Name it "Track Status Change". Do not Display the field to the users.
Default the Field to Initial Status+","+Now().
When the Status Changes, you need to append the field with "Current Status"+","+Now()+";"
The Semi Colon is delimiter to show that this is the new status. This delimiter would be used in the report to seperate the status. You can achieve this using the reporting functionalities.
The down side of this is that it can affect the performance of report since lot of Sting functionalities would be used for the tracking.
    Option 2
Whenever the status changes, create a completed task. Populate the Subject of the task with the Status. Put a workflow/field validation so that no one edits the subject when the task is created automatically.
You can run a report on the Task Created Date and Subject to get the Audit Trail.
Let me know if this helps.

  • Changing Bill Due Date?

I'm wondering if it's possible to change the due date of my account. I was assigned the 8th of every month when I originally started my service, and that worked for the most part, however recently my pay schedule has changed and it's only become possible for me to pay my bill later in the month. Since my due date is still the 8th, and I consistently pay on or around the 20th (when I get paid), my account is perpetually late and I would like to avoid this going forward.
Is it possible to change my due date, and if so, does it require any special payments such as a month in advance?
    Thanks!

Yes it should still be possible, I did when I first got on Verizon & I think they just added or prorated the extra days to my next bill, which in your case sounds like 12, it will be a larger bill the following month because it will start around the 20th or whatever you want, but it will stop your account from being delinquent all the time, & it doesn't cost more, it's just your waiting longer to pay your bill as it's being prorated for those days, then it will all even out the month after that. Good luck....

  • Change my bill due date

I would like to know if I could change my due date to the 3rd of the month and have it automatic withdraw payment on the 3rd of each month.  I should be able to come up with another $100 dollars in the middle of the month sometime after the 17th then I will pay the balance with the july bill automatic withdrawn option on the 3rd of each month there after. I would Like to prevent late fees and disconnection due to this is my only phone to get my phone calls and make them.
I was wondering why my bill is $153 instead of $132 is it because of late fees? Thanks for your time and concern of this matter and look forward to hearing back from you.  When I do have the money I will make the $100 dollar payment online as soon as I recieve the money.
    Thanks
    Ida L. Secrist
P.S. I am on disability and my payday is on the 3rd of each month.

You should call customer service *611 or 1-800-922-0204 and ask for financial services department to make payments arrangements.

  • How do I change bill due date?

I need to change the date that my wireless bill is due. Can you help?

You need to call customer service and request a change - be aware that it will change your billing cycle and may cause your next bill to be higher than normal if you are making the due date later than it is now.
Customer service is 800-922-0204 or *611 from your cell phone.

  • Mystery Billing Due Date

I have been paying regular bills for two homes for telephone, water, sewer, garbage, cable, satelite, electricity, gas, HOA, taxes, leaseholder fee for my lot in a recreational area, and last BUT NOT LEAST my cell phone service from Verizon.  Why is it the problems I have are with Verizon?  Every month I get a bill and it never tells me when the due date is.  It does not show what the amount is after that date which they do not tell me (p.s. - thats not the way all the other companies do it).  So with Verizon I must take a guess.
This month i had already paid my bill and got a nice email back from Verizon thanking me for paying from Verizon 8 days ago.  So everything is good, right?  So I thought you are welcome Verizon.  No.  Today I got a "Quick Bill Summary" in the mail demanding 2 months payment plus $5.  Huh?  Whats up with that?  Why is Verizon so different from other companies I do business with?  Is there an explanation?  I feel like they trick me for the extra $5 and early next month demands.  I am paying every month in advance so why is Verizon so agressive?  What kind of customer does Verizon think I am?  Do they stereotype cusomers as low-life, ripe for extortion of late fees, by hiding thier due date?  It does seem like it.
Every month every other biller tells me exactly what to pay based on the a due date, along with what I would owe if I miss paying by that date.  Verizon likes to like keeping all this a secret.  Why did I get this irritating statement in the mail 8 days after receiving a thank you email for paying my bill (I thought: on time)?  Verizon now demands two months payment plus $5 penalty.  Whats up with that?
And the Verizon website will not let me email a question to them about their billing practice. The Verizon website makes it virtually impossible to email them to ask about this.  Why hide that link?  Are they trying to gather a lot of extra $5 fees? Are they trying to drive good customers (paying $180/month) away to a competitor?  This is a mystery to me.  Where did Verizon learn to do this and why did they choose to do it this way? Is this their business model for extracting more fees from their customers?  What are Verizon's customer satisfaction goals?  Can someone from Verizon explain whay Verizon operates like this?

I only recieve statements online, so if you have a paper bill, this may not be exactly identical.  When I print a copy of my bill from my MyVerizon account, I see a summary of charges on the right side of the page followed by a large type, bold statement "Total Charges due by DATE $XX"  Do you not see anything of that sort on the front page of your bill?
On the second page of my bill, I see a section under "Explanation of Charges" that details late fees ($5 or 1.5% of the balance, whichever is greater).  It isn't bold, so it may be easier to miss.
Do you have a MyVerizon account?  If not, you should register for one.  It makes keep track of your account status a lot easier, and the amount due, due date, and whether you have paid this month are listed on the front page (first one when you log in), so you can view them at a glance.
To e-mail Verizon, you'll want to click on the "Contact Us" link, then select the type of customer you are from the drop-down.  On the next page, the option in the bottom-left box should be to send an e-mail.
    Hope that helped!

  • Internet Expenses R12 expense report notification due date change

    Hi Gurus,
    R12-IExpenses
Please let me know can we change the due date displayed along the right side of the notification of an Expense report submitted by an Employee in I Expenses?
Is there a setup for that?
Also could you say if there is any out of the box feature to send reminder notification to the approver after certain days of inactivity?
    Thanks,
    Sayan

The due date for the notification is controlled by the timeout property on WF definition, you have to open the WF, find the notification and edit it.
Being R12 this likely uses AME, which has the default behavior or escalating to the next person on the hierarchy once a notification times out. You would need to edit the WF to implement the reminder via a loop with an exit condition. I think the PO (Req and/or PO approval) ones have that, you might use those as a reference.
