There is no differnce....
But beware, you CAN NOT update the K7T 266pro with this BIOS!!!
Only the K7T266pro2 = MS 6380 V2

ok, he flashed his bios, why I don't know, but now he has no video ,,his keyboard & mouse do not come up.Either does his video card ( pci Ati radeon rage 6 )
I told him to reset cmos, like posted here, nothing.
Im trying to get him online and up, so he can come in here and learn the rite way.

The name of the bios file should be a6380vms.370! The ms6593 is a different board (k7t266pro2 -u/ul ver. 1.0, >link).
Bad luck, maybe he killed his board. Try to flash the correct bios. If this doesn't work try the BIOS boot recovery feature as described in http://www.msi.com.tw/html/support/bios/note/boot.htm .
If problem still persists, you would need to purchase new BIOS chip from Websites like http://www.flashbios.org where you can order a new BIOS or you can also contact MSI office near your place to purchase new BIOS chip http://www.msi.com.tw/html/contact/contact.htm .
Important: Don't forget to reset the cmos after flashing ( Clear CMOS Guide).

hoping to upgrade from my fx53 to the FX60 and was wondering if anyone can see any problems with this setup as it stands

yeah i was trying to use the liveupdate .... i have hit another problem now though i am trying to grab the BIOS from here ( http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/bios/bos/spt_bos_detail.php?UID=641&kind=1 ) and everylink is coming up as dead , i have tried to disable the firewall avg etc but the links arnt working for me
i will try and grab it somewhere else

845G Max L (MS-6580G) Bios 1.40 Issue

I ran MSI's Live Update 2 and downloaded bios 1.40 for my 845G Max L (MS-6580G).
When I went to run it I got a strange warning and it tried to locate some sort of DOS files.. what is up with this? Is this a beta bios? Is this a mistake?
If not, what is it trying to do? I chose to ignore the error and it did flash my machine, but I am unsure of what it might have missed.

The only place the word "dos" apears is in :

Unless while downloading the bios you chose to save it to c:\dos rather than the default program files\.....
But even then the scrips checks the files's existance befor actually attempting to flash from the HDD, if it fails to find them it will go on to flash from RAMDRIVE.

Bios update not working

Ok i have been going nuts for the last 2 days tryign to get this thing updated so i can install my brand new xp2600 barton 333fsb. I have a MSI KT3 Ultra 2 (MS-6380E) board. The last updated i downloaded worked fine but this one is being a pain. Every time i run the flash utility in dos i get this message. CPU Error Incorrect opcode. if i try to run it in a dos shell i get a mess load of stuff telling me it is a unsupported chipset an mess. Can someone please tell me how to fix this thing so i can install my new cpu

ok maybe i shoudl explain a lil better. I have no floppy drive so i am using this MS-DOS boot cd i made (http://newdos.yginfo.net/msdos71.htm) an i boot into what it says is true dos. Well once there i change directory to the dir i have the files in. I then type amifl827 a6380vms.570 an it gives me the message of CPU Error Incorrect OpCode killing proccess. Last time i flashed the bios i had no trouble what so ever so what gives?

EFI Bios overriding installer - Malware ?

Hi, it seems there's something living in this machine's bios. After numerous system reinstall attempts (including full drive format using a linux bootable USB to force a DD wipe), and installing from the internet issues persist. The Machine (Macbook Pro 10.1) otherwise is in perfect condition. I've tried to do pram / nvram resets multiple times, i've flushed EFI also, before trying to load a new os onto a wiped hard drive - issue persists. I have a feeling that it resides somewhere in bluetooth firmware / or uses it for persistence.. Please Help ?   '

Hi, thanks for your response. Yep certificate issue i've resolved - the serial number was also wiped. I've reinstated the serial as per back our macbook, and things are looking much better. However, it's still not right. For example I can not see or connect to the MacBook from iPhone over Bluetooth. Macbook sees the iPhone, but not the other way (even though discovery is turned on). Attempt to connect doesn't work.   PAN is enabled. There's also a flood of these in the logs:

Having problems booting p45 diamond, hangs on logo screen, entering bios.

Hello to all. im new here but been reading these forms for a few months now, and learnd alot from here by just reading. i manage to get my q6600 GO stepping to 3.8ghz.everything was going fine until recently when my board sits at the logo screen and just hangs there,i then hit ctrl alt del to restart it and it attempts again sometimes on the second attempt it works sometimes i have to clear the cmos after trying like 10x.
i have cleared the cmos and loaded advance setting and ran it at stock speed and it still did the same.
sometimes after clearing the cmos it hangs, doesnt even get to that screen where you have to press f1 to configure the bios.
after it finally boots windows it works great, i regularly keep it at 3.4 and i ran prime95 last night for 10hr with out any errors.
oh and i have tryed to run memtest86 but it dosnt want to boot from the cd. boot menu doesnt even come up sometimes.
i think there is a problem with the boot sequence, i thinks thats whats causing the problem because i whent to format a hard drive i had and uninstalled my main hard drive poped in the windows cd and restart it and nothing happens. i then try to go into boot menu and it just hangs. so then i go into bios (several attempts later) and set the cd drive first and save exit restart and still doesnt boot from disk. the light on the drive doesnt even come on.
please if you can help i'd appreciate it.

Now I need Bios for MX440 but I can´t it download
with live update I only can download version 4.18.20.07.23 Can you tell me where I can find another BIOS ?

LENOVO N500 SUPERVISOR & BIOS PASWORD BLOCKED

I tried to remove the supervisor password in BIOS by writing the old password, pushing "ENTER" button twicely and then reboot my laptop. After that I still see the password request, but it is not related with my old password and blank password. So my laptop data is bloked.

there is a lenovo help page for lost or forgotten passwords.
if the password you have forgotten is not one which can be reset, your options are to remember the password or get the motherboard and/or hard drive replaced. ( contact lenovo support line - call : +370 5 278 66 00 -)

don't think that your problem will be solved by BIOS update. you have to ask about your problem 1st, and not to try to fix yourself.
anyway what is done is done, cannot roll back the time.

few variants:
there is no HDD detected,(no power cable or data cable, or mistyped jumper configuration) no property boot device configured, or there is no active partition on HDD which you have tried to boot from.
BIOS update will not help with that for sure.

6800 GT bios flash?

has anyone flashed their bios for this card so that you can change the voltage. I have an eVGA 6800GT and it does not overclock well at all. I'm getting better cooling in a couple days but thought this might help as well to flash the bios...or am i totally wrong on this?

854PE MAX a6580ims.370 sometimes no boot!!!!

I've a very bad problem with my mainboard. Sometimes, when I turn-on the pc, the screen of monitor remain black!! Blink the led of DVD-ROM and CD-RW. No beeps. The POST indicate that the CPU is damaged or not correctly installed. 4 leds of dbracket are red!!.
So I turn-off and turn-on the pc 2,3,4 times and so the Bios have to boot.
When the pc is on, it work correctly.. no error.. no problem...!!!!
All the compenents are good and work correctly with other pc's. I've change also the power supply with passive 350W, but nothing... It's my mainboard??!! Is new!
Why sometimes my pc not execute the boot???? Please help!!

don't think is the board got problem.
me got the same board at home for almost 1yr.
very very stable board(think its one of msi best board), never give me any problem till now(the only time got problem is with the bios version 3.8, after flashed cannot access to net. that why it is bios v3.8 missing )
if you suspect your ram got problem can try test with memtest86 http://www.memtest86.com/

Mx 420 clock in bios

:-))I have overclocked my MSI MX 420 VGA card with Omega drivers to 370/520 Mhz but i would like to overclock it directly fom the graphic card BIOS up to 275/500. Can sombody help me how to manage this. Or if I'm not clear enough tell me what should I do? I thank you in forward.

I don't see the point in that as the BIOS has no GUI or user configurable interface.
If you want to modify a BIOS and then flash the card to reflect those clock settings as a baseline I can't help you, maybe someone alse can but I hardly think it's worth the effort.
Make sure you back up your original BIOS in case you bork it.
And I hope you have a PCI videocard just in case.

BIOS for 694D Pro V1.0 [MS-6321] WHICH ONE? HELP?

Motherboard says 694D Pro V1.0. Board has Promise ATA 100 Raid Controller and sound.
BIOS version displayed on BOOT is W6321MS V3.0 092900
{I upgraded BIOS successfully initially as Windows XP would not load without the BIOS upgrade.
System is running fine except that it just doesn't seem to like any Adaptec SCSI card I put in it [Card and System says everything is fine but devices don't work well at all.
And to complicate matters, I've got a USB 2.09 card in it and a SIIG PCI ATA 133 card in it too.
On boot I get the following errors in the SYSTEM Event log

So, first I upgraded the BIOS on the SIIG PCI ATA 133 IDE card and this appeared to go away. but it camr back. Suspecting the SCSI card I tried another one and even removed it, still the same errors.
So I went for the motherboard BIOS upgrade as w6321vms.370 indicates it corrects an ACPI error in Windows XP.
Problem is, the flash BIOS app says this is not the right BIOS for my board.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE RIGHT BIOS IS?? Or have a clue?

The easy part: The ACPI error messages turn out to be Microsofts's way of dealing with older motherboard BIOS that use AMLI direct hardware reads and writes. In XP the came up with _OSI The error message is a non event. XP blocks the read or write and all is OK as XP does what the read or write was trying to do.
So, to make it co away, [cosmetic] one needs a BIOS upgrade and we're back to the question....WHICH BIOS IS RIGHT FOR THIS MOTHERBOARD? {So many BIOS choices, so little clear information.....]
The other NAVCAP boo-boo looks like innocous garbage like the errors you get when you try to remove Real player 8 and it fails.
RAID controller is active and working. SIIG ATA133IDE controller is active and working. NEC USB is active and working inspite of the error message. No SCSI card in right now but it wasn't working before. [That could be a whole 'nother problem though.]
MORE IDEAS? KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHICH BIOS IS WHICH?

I dont' know what people say but one thing is clear: MSI 965 Platinum is JUNK!!
The only cpu which could be clocked is p4 3Ghz. I've clocked it to 3800, bios ver 1.4
with bios 1.5 1.6 system reset at 3500. 1.7 was ok again.
Next cpu E2140 cloked from 1600 to 2144+corecell=>2270. note that sistem won't boot if fsb higher than 268 in bios (ver 1.5 1.6 1.7 1.8) but could be clocked if DOT activated.
Next cpu E6750 clocked from 2.66 to 2.98 FSB 366. with fsb higher than 370 sistem reset, also with DOT i see higher instability.
OT: i read on this forum that MSI told us that this board is for gamers/not overcloking ))))
well then, why the F*** put PLATINUM? it's the same S*** like NEO but 60E more..for what?
