Black Line on Content Viewer

I have noticed this before the new update, but seems to be bugging me now.
Using the content viewer when previewing articles, there seems to be a small black bar, maybe 2px on the right hand side of the app.
This happens only when viewing folios and not when on the folio download screen.
Can anyone shed light on this?

If you're building a custom viewer there's a setting to auto-hide scrollbars. I highly recommend that setting

I have small black lines that appeared after I exported from word to PDF. I can't remove them.

I can't edit/delete the black lines with content editing or form editing (they are not selectable, just like a line that was created in word prior to export), and when I tried to write a white line over it with a comment mark up, it does not show when opened with adobe.
Further, redaction with a white box erased nearby text or text boxes.
How can I white out/remove these small lines?
I'm using Yosemite OS X with a macbook pro, acrobat XI.

Could you please tell is that some specific file in which those black lines have appeared or are there any other files as well ?
You can try exporting another test file to PDF and compare the results .
Will it be possible for you to share the file with us so that we can analyze at our end ?If yes ,please share it on [email protected] .
You could also send us the screen shot of the files ( both after and before export) so that we can have a look how it looks and what is the method to remove those lines.

Problem with "small black line in right margin" with Folio Builder / Adobe Viewer in Ipad. Id CC.

When I create a Folio Builder and I check my Id project in the Adobe Viewer (It happens in the Ipad App and in the Desktop Viewer), I can see a black line in the right margin (maybe 4 px). And I can't adjust my background (It's an object with a colour) to use the "full resolution available for the app in the ipad", and yes, I'm using rules and I can see that my background object it's 1024 x 768. I have tryed several projects and upgraded the project to the "30 version".
But I'm a new user with ID/DPS. So, is this a reported bug? Or I'm doing sth wrong?
And for me, the most important question, will this problem be solved when I send my project to the applestore and DPS transform my Folio to the Store? Or what I see now it's what I will see?

Pages is sending my documents in docx format, but windows unable to open them. They arrive blank or can only be read as a single line at a time. When view prior to sending the document is divided with black lines after each sentence.

Windows will only be able to open these if you have Word 2007+. Older versions of Word, for example Word 2003 would require a compatibility pack.
Perhaps you can try 'Saving As' a different file type instead?

Edge Animate file turns black when viewed in Folio, but worked great in adobe content viewer before uploading to folio panel.

What am I doing wrong?
I created simple animations to work in DPS. Basically hot spot button that toggle on and off showing features and benefits. When viewed and tested in adobe content viewer, everything worked great. Now that I am ready to upload the folio as an ipa app. The animations turn black over the image that it is supposed to be on top of.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Neil, that worked once I'd installed it directly into the Applications folder, not within a subfolder.
So if anyone else has this issue, install the Desktop Viewer app for CC and it works for both CS6 and CC.
NOTE, that you need to double-click the Install Adobe Content Viewer.app file, don't look for a file called Install Adobe Content Viewer.air as per the instructions, as they are out of date.
Phew, I have finally got all my DPS functionality back, and have created a V27 app using V28.

Footer looks lovely (in RH), published view shows yukky black line

I have been using an .htt for quite awhile (several months) and was happy with the centered, font size 8, copyright notice in a muted gray.
This week, I noticed some topics sporting a wide black line that doesn't respect margins in place of that lovely footer.
So I checked the .htt, which still has a nice body/footer/header layout. I renamed the desired .htt, highlighted all topicsin the topics list, right clicked, and assigned it as the Master page. Cleared my published folder locations, and republished. Same ugly black line.
What happened?
RH 8, project was upgraded from RH 7 in June 2009.
Possible corollary (but different topics): certain books on the published server(s), are stuck in a sort of strobe light state and display nothing. If I click on some other topic, the "book" has toggled (expanded/closed).

In the Template / Master Page, you click View > Footer. This will bring the Footer area into view.

Adobe Content Viewer loads .folio but displays black

This is what I see on my Mac, OSx10.7.5 when I load a folio from the file system. I have InDesign as part of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard (which is how I go Adobe Content View I think). The folio seems to load but won't display the content. It works for a colleague of mine. I only want to viewer folios. I have tried several different .folios. I would try a re-install but can't find the Adobe Content Viewer cde anywhere to download and it doesn't seem to be available through the Adobe Download manager or the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard Installer.

Are you using PDF format for the folio? If so, that is unsupported in the desktop ACV.

Adobe should have been fixing this bug in 32.4.4, they did for the Adobe Content viewer.
But this bug still exists in applications made by DPS App Builder ver 32.4.4.

If you rebuild your app with the option "Enable auto hiding of the vertical folio scroll bar" checked this issue will not appear. Will that not work for your app?
We do plan to release a fix for this on our next scheduled dot release, in approximately a week and a half.

Black lines around my cells

The page I have created views fine in Internet Expolorer but
when I view it in Firefox & Netscape black lines appear around
the frame of my cells as if i have added a black border. Can anyone
help

Adobe Content Viewer not installed on V28

Today I updated both my CC and CS6 versions of InDesign, so I now have V28 of DPS tools, however there is no Content Viewer app available for my Mac (Running )SX 10.8.5).
When I try to preview on Desktop via the Folio Builder panel, an error stating that the Adobe Content Viewer couldn't be found comes up.
All the Adobe Support documents go through the process of finding the AdobeContentViewer.air file in the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Installers/AdobeDigitalPublishingCS6/ContentViewer folder, but I only have three files in that folder:
Adobe AIR Installer.app
Install Adobe Content Viewer.app
Install DPS App Builder.app
So I can't double-click it to reinstall it.
My Air is up to date, my Updates are all up to date, and I can't find how to unistall InDesign (I am a Creative Cloud subsriber).
I used my Time Machine backup to go and get it from a back up, but it wouldn't install when I double-clicked the old version (I was getting desperate!)
However I can preview the same Folio on my connected iPad running the latest version of the Adobe Content Viewer app
After a live chat, then over two hours on hold for some UK technical support on my land line, and just over an hour on my mobile, plus a Skype call to the US 800 number to be informed of over an hour's wait there, and to discover UK support is only during office hours, and after nearly two hours it has passed 5.30pm, I had to give up on Adobe's official technical support, and resort to more searching on Adobe forums, but have found nothing for CC or CS6 that I haven't already tried, except unistalling and reinstalling InDesign. But I can't find how do that via Creative Cloud. At one point I had to tell one of the nice indian "technical support" staff not to put me back in the same loop as I'd been in twice before as I was close to tears. He sympathised but told me it wasn't his area of expertise - surprise surprise... Not a good day.
Pleeeese, is anyone else having this problem, or has anyone else solved this problem?

How to remove the black line from a stacked canvas at run time???

I've developed a stacked canvas within a content canvas, when I run the form the stacked canvas apeared with a black line takes it.
How to remove this line or how to disappear this line at run time??
I tried to do this by putting (no line) in tools palette to the line color tool after selecting the black line one and after selecting the stacked canvas another once, but this did not resolve the problem!
I need something else:
I put the stacked canvas at detail data block and it didn't appear since I execute query in master data block
How to appear the stacked canvas directly before executing query in master data block???

u mean the border line? In stacked canvas property, select contour/outline and set it to none.
Make sure, the stacked canvas is behind the content canvas in the objectnavigator. Then check your
properties of the stacked canvas:
- Position on content canvas
- size
- size of clipping
Set stacked canvas property automatic visible to yes.
Make sure the stacked canvas is not overlayed by other stacked canvas or items.

Adobe Content Viewer Slow after Upgrade to ios 8

Hi
I am still in the development phase of my app. I have built it using InDesign.
I have been updating and previewing the app in Adobe Content Viewer on my iPad 3. It was working fine. I upgraded my iPad to ios 8.1 three days back and since then there the app is very slow when i view it in ACV. The page transition is slow, the slideshow gallery grid does not respond even after multiple taps.
Now my ipad is 3rd generation and I am realising i should not have upgraded it to ios 8. But it is very hard for me to tell now if the slowdown is because of -
- ios 8 only
- or because of incompatibility of ios 8 with older ipads (3rd generation)
I tried downgrading my ios to 7.2 but apple does not alllow that anymore, so I am stuck with ios 8.
Any inputs/feedback on this will be great.

Bob - did you upgrade the ios to 8 on our ipad 3?
Mine was working fine with all the preview apps on ACV till i upgraded to ios 8.
Peter - Apple usually do not discount its products even on Black Friday. But I will see if I can squeeze in a new piece to continue with my project. I am also going to try downgrading ios on my ipad with some manual fix, I could not do it via itunes as apple is no more signing ios 7.

Thin horizontal black line at BOTTOM of page when scan on HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus

I owned an HP Officejet Pro 8500 and scanning was perfect. I recently purchased an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.
When I scan from the HP 8600 auto document feeder, I get a thin (several pixel wide) black line along the bottom edge of the resulting scan. This line will sometimes be slighly crooked or only appear across half the page, in which case it tends to get thicker toward the edge of the page). I believe this line is an artifact from scanning the very bottom edge of the oroginal document. I think it is showing where the bottom edge of the page was when scanned. If the document is a little skewed, then the black line at the bottom will be a little crooked, probably following the edge of the page. This problem is consistent, and repeatable. It happens in both "Scan To E-mail" mode and "Scan To Network Folder" mode.
When I scan from the flat bed, I get a very narrow black line along the very top edge of the resulting scan, but the bottom appears fine (although I've not tested this extensively).
These thin black lines did not occur when scanning from the HP 8500.
I am wondering if there is a setting to adjust this, or if it is a firmware difference between printers that needs debugging.

I find it interesting that the issue happens across both printers. This is what leads me to believe this is something with the software/connection with the PC. One thing I will note is that you mentioned above using Adobe Reader 10.1.6. The latest version of Adobe Reader is 11.0.02. I would advise removing your current version of Adobe Reader and install the latest version.
I am not sure if this will fix the issue as you mentioned the line comes across in jpeg and other scanning styles. Do you possibly have another PC you could try setting up a connection with quickly and attempting a scan? This would be another way to ensure if the issue is coming from the printer or a connection/software issue.
I would like to make sure the issue is coming from the scanners on these printers before returning the printers as I would hate for you to get another model printer and the issue remain with this printer as well. However, I will note that the Laserjet Pro 200 is a nice series printer from my experience. I have used the Laserjet Pro 200 black and white only edition, the MFP, and the TopShot edition where I am located.

C309g Scanned files are saved as thick black lines and thin white lines

Hi there,
I am able to scan the documents and see them briefly in the HPScan software but once I have saved them (.pdf or .jpeg) and tried to open them in any application, all I get is a file that consists of thick black lines spaced out with thin white lines. Therefore whatever I scan is useless as it cannot be viewed in any way.
I am running Mac OSX Mavericks and have run all the updates and installed the latest drivers. Originally I was unable to save anything but after perfroming the updates I was able to save the scans but it triggered the black and white lines. The printer is connected to a network via Ethernet.
I tried scanning a blank white page but the output file is the same with the black and white lines.
Please help.
