Black spot on the iphone 5S

Hi, i've got almost one moth ago the iphone 5s, and has a black spot on the right side. i dont know what could be, so if someone has the same problem, could help me!?

If this is damage from misuse it is not covered. Otherwise it is covered. It does not matter the Apple Store vs other store for purchase location, the 1 year Warranty is identical. Next time you go to Apple Store ask to see the store manager.

  • Two black spot in the screen

    Hello!
I don't know what to do anymore!
I have a Ipod video 30g. It has only 2 weeks old. I was very happy but now it does not turn on anymore. And there is 2 black spot on the screen. I do not know what to do, and I cannot talk to anyone. This website is very confusing.
Can anyone help me? I am in Brazil Sao Paulo.
    Thanks

I would set an appointment up at a local Apple Store and have them find out what it is.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Black spot on my iPhone 3Gs Camera

Even though outer hardware looks completely damage less, the Camera is showing small black spot and it's also showing up on the picture i take with it.
It just simply dosen't go away,
I been to everywhere and they all come with same answer; "go to apple"
I wondering if apple will exchange this right away with out a hassle.
Anyone had same problem? what do you do about it?

I´ve noticed the same think as you. On my camscreen I´ve got a crocked line.
Didn´t have that black line before, so I´ve thought it was a minor bump that caused this to happend.
So... hmm... If a bump on the cam side of the phone could cause this, a new
bump on the same side would fix it again?
Down to business: smack! right on my knee twice, and look: the black spot in
the cam app is now gone!
Think I should go to the store and let them have a look at it.
But wait for weeks for a replaced/fixed one? Don´t think so.
So if you dare: Try slapp your baby once or twice on the lense side corner.
    Worked for me!

A block dot on the viewfinder is a piece of dust either on the mirror or or the focus screen.
You can try using a bulb blower to remove it (Don't use caned air).
Do NOT try to wipe it off as you will likely scratch something and make it worse.
It will not show up in your photos, so it's really doesn't affect the function of the camera.

do you have some tips or idea on how to remove this without damaging the iphone?

The marks are caused by dirt trapped by the case.  Try a soft unwashed washcloth, and a single drop of water.

  • Black spot on the camera

Two random black spots appeared on my camera display, the phone didn't get wet or anything, seems like dirt from the inside...  should I take it to apple's customers service? anybody with the same problem?
    thank you

I have the same issue - perhaps not exact but extremely similar.  In photo mode, there is a small purplish speck, which I initially thought as dust or something, and of course it ends of in photos taken.  However, this speck is not present in video mode, meaning there is no dust, but some sort of artifact on the photo processor or something.  Either way, itsa product defect - I plan on seeing if Apple will support this and replace thephone.....

  • Rendering from QT-DNxHD to other codecs causes black spots in the highlights. Causes?

    Using a windows 7 pro machine, i7, 24gb ram, Nvdia GTX 570.
No other codecs that I have used have ever caused this issue. I am rendering from DVCPRO through an AE - 16 bit - rec 709 timeline to 10 bit QT-DNxHD (No problems at this point). I then edit in PP. No signs of problems at this point. From there I export via AME to AVI, H264 and Mp2 DVD. This is where it gets bad. All clipped highlights, coming from PP through AME, have black spots in them.
I have never worked with DNxHD before. I have heard good things and wanted to try it as a mastering codec. I'm sure this is not suppose to happen... am I doing something wrong?

Hey Jim, AVI is no spring chicken either....
Audio Video Interleaved (also Audio Video Interleave), known by its initials AVI, is a multimedia container format introduced by Microsoft in November 1992 as part of its Video for Windows technology.
As much as I dont care for its slow export time from PrP, QT is till a widely adopted stamdard by both consumers and professionals alike. I may have my preferences now for other workflows, but when dealing with clients and others its still the dominant and preferred wrapper of choice.

  • My thunderbolt is getting black spots on the display

So today I saw these start happening, seems not good. The first time it happened it grew much larger and much darker. Display is in the sun and that part of it seemed to be very hot. It goes away when I close the shades or shade the spot for a couple minutes with my hand, so I guess I have a solution... but has this happened to anyone else?? Sign or problems to come?

I have never seen this with my Thunderbolt display. You should consider taking your display in to a local Apple Store to have it repaired or replace (your display comes with a 1 year hardware warranty, and is covered by an AppleCare protection plan on a Mac if you purchased the Mac and Thunderbolt Display together).

I tried everything in your reply,,, thank you again,, I had done that once before and all was working great,,

  • Black spot has appared over the battery of my macbook

I've had my macbook since August 2008. I just now noticed a black spot over the battery. Now there are some scratches at the bottom of it, but its heavily used everyday and you can see the marks where my plastic case has been for 2 years. Now do you guys think Apple will honor this with the wear and tare on it?

AppleCare would have needed to be purchased in the first year of ownership.....without AppleCare and from your description of wear and tear on the MacBook I stand by a 'no' vote on Apple doing something for you...again ask them...

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.
