Blackberry Bridge - calendar entry missing

The Playbook calendar is different to my Torch calendar - many entries (all-day events) are missing on the playbook?
I tried to fix it with new (all-day event) entries and with deleting and establishing a new bridge function.....no chance!
Seems to be another bug.....the list of bugs is increasing and I'm getting more and more angry about the "bugbook"!!!

Hello,
Navigate to Options-Device-Advanced System Settings-Default Services. What do you have listed under calendar here? Try changing it to make sure the correct one is selected and try to re pair the BlackBerry smartphone again.
Thank you

  • File attachments in Blackberry Bridge Calendar

The utility of the Playbook for me depends on being able to open attachments that are in my calendar (Lotus Notes). The Notes calendar sync's fine (BES ver 5.01) with the Blackberry Tour and an attachment can be opened by the device. The bridge calendar entry on first click shows the paperclip icon to indicate there is an attachment but then when the entry is fully open there is none to be found.
    Any suggestions?
The way I work (and likely many others) is not print anything, all information relevant to a meeting (that can take place at many sites in a large complex) is put into the calendar entry and at the meeting I can open the attachments. Works well with laptop. The Playbook won't work for me until I can open attachments in calendars in the same way as I can open them in emails.

i have not been able to open calendar attachments yet. what type of attachments are you trying to open?

  • Outlook Calendar Entries Missing

I am writing with a problem which has been reported several times on various boards and forums but after spending about 7 hours trying to resolve this issue I am hoping someone may have a fresh approach!
I am using Vista Business, Outlook 2007, Blackberry Storm and Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.7.
After several weeks of synching successfully, yesterday DM decided to delete most of my Outlook Calendar Entries.  Then DM started to crash with the message 'Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working'.  All the entries are still on the Blackberry.  I have followed various advice I have read, have reinstalled the DM software, have deleted the Intellisync folder, and have removed 3 flags from the Calendar sync configuration in DM.  The last action did stop DM from crashing, however most of my calendar entries are still on the device and NOT on Outlook.  On the Blackberry I have set the Options to keep Forever, and on DM have set Calendar items to 'All'.  I have run out of suggestions BUT still the problem remains that I cannot get the Blackberry to give Outlook my Calendar entries.
    Help welcomed!  Thanks.

Well, I've followed some instructions at another thread, and gotten reid of all the CICAL links in my Services section. That's removed the "Send as" and an email address for each calendar item on the BB. Also, all of them are now the same color, and all are part of the "Default" calendar.
When I go to the DM Backup and Restore > Advanced, I see I have only one Calendar on the BB and it has all my records.
Problem is that it still doesn't sync with Outlook. All that's left on my outlook calendar are a handful of appts added after the Facebook update. The rest of the appts on my handheld will not sync, even if I set the sync command to one way / replace all.
So that's where it stands. Any further help would be most welcome.

  • Attachment to calendar entries missing

    Hi all,
this is a moved post from another group, since I didn't get any replies there (sorry for the redundancy):
    My problem:
I synchronize emails and calendar entries between my PC (WinXP SP2) and my E61 emails and calender entries will be synchronized without any error messages. But, all of my attachments will be lost. Can you help me? What is wrong with my settings?
    Example:
    1) On the PC side (Outlook 2003) I create a new calendar entry "test" for tomorrow 10 a.m. with a description "Test meeting" and a pdf attachment called "agenda.pdf".
    2) I start synchonizing with PC Suite and my E61 (cable (USB) connection)
    3) I open the calendar on my E61. The new entry is there. In the description field I see "Test meeting" but WITHOUT the attachment.
The same applies to any synchronisation of Outlook emails.
    Please help!
Greetings from Germany (that explains the bad English, does it?)

Do those .bak and .dat files have the same date?
Have you tried to rename the .dat file to .old and name the .bak to .dat to see if the data may be in the bak file?
If those files have the same data, you may want to try a system restore on the PC and see if you can revert to a restore point on the PC for yesterday or a day that had the data.

  • Duplicate calendar entries missing contacts etc

Since i downloaded the update to V3 for iPhone i have noticed two calendar lists on the iPhone. One is from My Mac and the other is ****@mac.com. If i select 'all calendar's i get duplicate entries. If i select one or other i only get some entries plus on sync it keeps wanting to add or delete. I have now noticed that while i have all my contacts on the iPhone the majority are missing from the iMac and mobile me. This all started with the V3 download.
    Help!

    Ken,
Is your problem similar to this: macosxhints.com - About duplicate contacts and calendars on iPhone 3.0?

  • Calendar entries missing Jan & Feb

I find all entries made Jan & Feb 2013 on the calendar are all missing and when you make a new entry they also disapear. This happens on all my apple devices & all my freinds & colleagues. But when I go onto a web browser and log onto the iCloud they all appear! Not working for me as a calendar as it is, not relliable.
Is this the same across the Apple world????

Yes it is the same unless you change your settings to sync all events. You can find it if I am not mistaken under settings, mail contacts and calendars, scroll down to calendar and one of the lines will say "sync" change to all events. Good luck!

  • Missing calendar entries from phone over Blackberry bridge

I have two phones bridged to the playbook. Initially I had issues seeing SMS over the bridge with a 9850. After deleting the tablet from the phone and the phone from the tablet, performing a hard reset and re-adding the devices the issue was fixed. I then got the playbook bridge to a 9930. All apps work with the exception of the calendar. I am not able to see some of my entries on the calendar displayed on the playbook even when they appear on the 9930. After deleting the tablet from the phone and the phone from the tablet, performing a hard reset on both devices and re-adding the devices the issue was not fixed. Ideas? Thank you!!!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hey inieto09,
The BlackBerry PlayBook may not be configured to display the Calendar Service associated with the missing entries, please try the following:
    1. From the BlackBerry PlayBook, Click the BlackBerry Bridge icon.
    2. Click on the Calendar icon.
    3. Enter the BlackBerry Smartphone password if prompted.
    4. Tap on the Calendar Services icon. (this is the third icon from the bottom left)
    5. Ensure that the desired calendar(s) is checked
    6. Click Done.

  • Bridge Calendar not synching with device - missing entries

Since the upgrade to OS 2 I have noticed that the calendar does not synch properly.  There are entries on the device (and outlook) that don't appear at all in the bridge calendar.  What is more strange is that sometimes some of them  do...but when the page refreshes (say from waking from sleep) they have disappeared again!
I have updated bridge on both the device (Bold 9780) and the playbook, but no difference.
All the various calendar entries (desktop, gmail etc.) are properly checked off in the device bridge options list.
Starting this as a new thread as I see a number of others have raised the same question some time ago but without resolution...so here's hoping!
Seriously, any help would be much appreciated.  It's a pain not being able to rely 100% that the info in the playbook calendar is correct.

    Hi Aandras.
I do have multiple calendars, but turning them off and just having the desktop doesn't seem to help.
I did download the bridge update.
Funny thing is that events appear in different views.  For example I have an all day event for Friday that appears in the daily view but not the weekly.  Also, the event seems to be there but invisible.  I had an event from 1500 to 1800 on Thursday, visible on my BB but not on the PB.  I then created a new appointment at 1700 on the PB.  The PB reports a conflict with a previous appointment...which is not visible!
Let me see what happens next week!

  • New tablet missing from blackberry bridge

just got my playbook and installed blackberry bridge but unable to find add tablet. am l missing something simple. one of the reasons was to used my playbook with my blackberry phone. can someone help. cheers

I don't know why Photoshop would kill the system default entry for new bitmap - possibly because it has associated itself with that file type.
First thing to look at - start Adobe Bridge CS6, go into the Edit - Preferences - File Type Associations dialog, and see if you can re-associate MSPAINT.EXE with the BMP format.  That may correct the issue, but I can't say for certain as I don't want to try it here and change my own setup.
I don't use the New context menu functionality for making new bitmaps myself, but when I looked to see what shows up in my New context menu, I found this:
Choosing the IrfanView BMP File entry led to this:
If you can't recover the old functionality via the Bridge settings, it may be that you can install the freeware viewer IrfanView and have it associate itself with the BMP file type.

  • Synchronization of past Outlook Calendar entries with Blackberry Q10

Is there no option to include the synchronization of past calendar entries from my Outllok Calendar? All what I found on Blackberry Link is “Import contacts/ Calendar”. However, it seems that the synchronization applies only to future Outlook Calendar entries. There should be an option allowing to keep the past calendar entries on the BB device. Is there something that I overlook? Thanks for any support.

Hello mokkTA1 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for your question synchronizing your device with your computer.
In BlackBerry Link click on your device and open the settings. Under Synchronization click on Configure next to the Calendar. Under Device Sync Period there is an option to sync All Entries. The default setting chooses the last 30 days and future entries.
After changing the sync period, try the sync and let me know if the older items now import.
    Thanks!

  • Missing calendar entries when syncing

Using windows xp, ms outlook 2007 and iTunes 1.1.3, I am missing calendar entries on my computer after syncing. The calendar entries are shown on the iPhone, but many do not make it onto Outlook on my computer. The sync seems to push onto the iPhone one-way, without updating the computer. Anyone else have this issue? Any solutions?

    Update to original post:
Phone is taking roughly 45 minutes to sync, which is awful.
Calendar items are not syncing with Outlook.
Contacts are multiplying with every sync, numbering into the thousands.
My sense is Apple is overwhelmed with these issues. I did the iTunes upgrade yesterday and no improvement.

  • Outlook and Treo 700 wx are missing most, but not all, of my calendar entries

I am running Windows XP and Outlook 2003 (SP3).  I have a Treo 700 wx with service from Verizon.  I normally sync via USB using ActiveSync.  A few days ago I noticed that most, but not all of my calendar entries were missing.  I am missing 99% of my future appointments, which of course is my big concern.  I am not missing too many historical appointments (at least starting 1 month ago).   I have synced the same way for years without a problem.  I did try to set up Wireless Sync via Verison about a week ago.  I called Verizon support to see if I somehow screwed up my calendar in the process of trying to set up Wireless Sync, and they said I never succeeded in setting it up (which I suspected), so they don't think that was the problem.  Do you have any idea what I could have done wrong and how I get my future appointments back?

  • Using the USB cable to sync my blackberry deletes all calendar entries older than 3 mos

I'm not very good at this kind of thing, so please pardon what I'm sure will be mistakes/omissions as I describe my problem.
Every time I sync my blackberry using the USB cable (I'm told by my boyfriend who is an IT guy that I can't sync it wirelessly although I don't know why), all of my calendar entries in Outlook get erased--that is, all the entries that are older than 3 mos.  I frequently use those entries as reference so I can't lose them--so now I'm terrified to sync my blackberry.
Any help will be much appreciated!

    Overview
When synchronizing the Calendar via the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, past calendar events are being deleted on the desktop calendar application.
    Cause
Calendar items on the BlackBerry smartphone were deleted as a result of the keep appointments setting in the Calendar was set to delete older appointments.
    Resolution
To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:
    Task 1
Configure the BlackBerry smartphone to keep past appointments:
Open the Calendar application on the BlackBerry smartphone and press the Menu key.
Select Options and then General Options.
Within General Options set the Keep Appointments options to Forever.
    Task 2
Configure BlackBerry Desktop Manager calendar synchronization options:
For BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 4.5 to 5.0:
Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer with a USB cable and open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Select Synchronize from the main menu of BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Select the Synchronization link and click on the button labeled Synchronization to configure the synchronization settings on the BlackBerry smartphone.
    Select the Calendar.
Select the option to Synchronize with Microsoft Outlook and click Next.
Select either the Two way or One way sync and click Next.
Select the Default profile for Microsoft Outlook.
For the Calendar date range select the option to Synchronize items within a range of days, configure the date range to sync 30 days in the past and 365 days in the future.
    Click Next.
Continue through the configuration wizard and click Finish and then OK.
    Perform a new synchronization.
For BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 4.2 and 4.3:
Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer with a USB cable and open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Select Synchronize from the main menu of BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Click on the Configuration tab and then on Configure Sync.
If you are still prompted to make deletions from Microsoft Outlook for past calendar events that were not manually deleted, then you may need to repeat the steps above and synchronize with a smaller date range for past events.
For BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 1.0 for Mac OS:
Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the Mac with a USB cable and open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
    Select Calendar.
    Select Two-Way.
Select All Calendars or Selected Calendar, checkmark calendars to use during synchronization.
    Select Advanced Settings.
