Blackberry Desktop Software 6.0 will not open

Desktop Software 6.0
On load:
"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled"
Process ID=0x7ac (1964), Thread ID=0x780 (1920).
I have uninstalled the desktop software and Microsoft .Net 3.5 SP1 and reinstalled both and continue to get the same error.
Anyone getting the same error or know how to get the software working again?

    I have read in these forums and am still lost.  I know my answer should be in hre somewhere, but if it is I am unable to understand it, so be patient as I may be reasking an already answered question.
    I try to be a good lil girl and follow forum rules, but am lost here.
    I bought a new laptop, a Dell 17R  It runs Win 7 I think. Lots of ROM/RAM.  I dowloaded the desktop program from bb dot com and cannot get it to work.  First it asked me to trouble shoot, and reconfigured the DT prog for Win XP.
    It then acknowledged my Torch and dld my photos.  Then it decided I didn't have space and undid whatever it did.
    NOW I cannot get the program, once it opens to recognise my phone at all! ACK!!
    I need someone who understands this gobbltygook to explain to me what to do.  I need to unload my photos, as I use my phone to take pix more than I would have thought.
    I am a photog, and it's better than my first digital this Torch 9800 is, and video quality, OMG, but the vids are too big to upload from the phone..........(IDK why cuz it did at Christmas?)
    Anyway, please help me here, as I can use a computer, e-mail, Facebook, Picassa, other than that, IDK too much about them.  (It took my YEARS to spring for this laptop)

  • Blackberry Desktop Software for Mac won't open

    I've downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Software for Mac to begin synching my new Torch but when I try to launch the software, I get the following message.
    "The document “BlackBerry Desktop Software.mpkg” could not be opened. TextEdit cannot open files in the “Installer package” format."
    Has anyone encountered this and had any luck getting it to open?
    Any advice appreciated -- anxious to update my contacts and fully use my new phone!

    Have you been able to try using a different USB port or to retry connecting after reinserting the BlackBerry battery? If so, try reinstalling the Desktop Software and retrying the connection.

  • BlackBerry Desktop Software Ver 4.6 Not Responding - Window Vista

    I have a Blackberry Bold.
    Running Windows Vista home premium on my laptop.
    When the DM loads there is a runtime error  :Line 32 Object Expected
    When I click ignore none of the buttons on the DM respond.
    The DM manager recognises my Blackberry and shows it is connected.
    I have run the DM as administrator and still no response.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I suggest a complete start over -- here are some steps (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista/Win7, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
    1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
    2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM DTM software:
    KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
    Some have reported that there are more registry keys to remove than are discussed in that KB
    Others have reported the use of a registry cleansing tool to also be helpful
    3) Get a fresh download of the RIM DTM software:

    Choose the version that is newest and (if applicable) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchronizing via USB):
    KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager for synchronization
    4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:

    5) Install DTM to your PC
    6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
    7) Start the organizer configuration over:

  • BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.0.0 not syncing ical properly

    I just switched over from awful Missing Sync to BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.0.0. I believe I have tried every permutation to sync my iCal with no luck. Some events sync while others don't. I sync all calendars, I replace all events on device, I deinstall and reinstall the device and still the two don't propely sync.

  • Blackberry Desktop Software For PC Does Not Respond!

    Since i want to take backup's and restore my backup's, the blackberry desktop software opens but then stops responding and closes the program and looks for an online solution which they actually don't. I have tried deleting it and re-installing it but the problem remains the same, blackberry desktop software doesn't respond(stops working) with any blackberry device

  • Desktop and Screensaver preferences will not open

    Whenever I go to open the Desktop & Screen Saver pane in System Preferences, it won't work and I get the message "Preferences Error: Could not load Desktop & Screen Saver preference pane." If anyone could provide me with information on how to fix this that would be great. Thank you!!

    Close all windows and quit all applications.
    Hold the option key down and click the "Go" menu in the Finder menubar.
    Select "Library" from the dropdown, then "Preferences" folder.
    Look for these two files.
    com.apple.desktop.plist
    com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    Right click each  one of those and select " Move To Trash" from the contextual menu.
    Restart the computer.

  • Twain scanning software/plug-in will not open inside of PS

    I am now official teed-off with Adobe’s miserable attempt at customer service. I cannot get the Twain software for my Canon scanner to open inside of Photoshop. I have been through your “Chat with an agent” and your “Call an agent’ for no avail. A “senior” tech person was supposed to call me today to settle the matter and not a peep. This is costing me a ridiculous amount of time just to get a very basic function to work.
    I have a brand new install of Creative Cloud PS for a Mac with Apple’s latest operating system, Mountain Lion, and brand-new drivers for my Canon scanner and there is no reason why Adobe shouldn’t be able to get me up and going.
    If Adobe expect’s me to pay a premium for their software, they should have the integrity to help me make it function properly.

    Nate basically the reason your Canon software is functioning is because it is a 32-bit application and thus can reference the 32-bit TWAIN driver provided by Canon.  You can still run 32-bit applications within a 64-bit operating system.   There is no conversion occurring it is just a fact that both the driver and software are 32-bit so they are able to communicate.
    Photoshop CC is 64-bit only thus it is unable to access 32-bit TWAIN drivers or plug-ins.
    Curt's suggestion is a great option if you are looking for a more integrated option with the 64-bit version of Photoshop.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Blackberry Desktop Software will not Sync with Outlook

    I recently installed Blackberry Desktop Manager 7.1 for Windows on a PC and it will not allow me to sync with outlook calendar, memos and contacts.  It will however sync windows Contacts, if I try to select the option to sync with calendar or memos it gives me an error that now compatible software can be found and to visit blackberry.com/desktop/docs.  I am running Outlook 2010 32bit in Windows 7 with the latest Blackberry desktop software.  I am not to familiar with Blackberry so any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Well I believe I have figured out the answer to my own question, I ended up having to do a repair installation for Office 2010 and I was able to sync from outlook to the Blackberry.

    I am having the same problem I have reinstalled the software more times than I can count and now I cannot open the Icon on my desktop at all. This is beginning to be really frustrating can someone please help. I want to download my pictures from my phone to my computer unable to do that as well.

    Thanks for reaching out to me.
    This is correct you will not have the option to select Applications in BlackBerry Desktop Software.  You will still be able to create a backup if needed, or to access any files saved on the BlackBerry PlayBook.
    What kind of application management were you trying to do?  You can move or delete applications from the BlackBerry PlayBook.

  • BlackBerry Desktop Software does not recognize my device

    My problem is that when I plug my phone into my desktop computer by USB it will charge, but when I go to do anything to by means of BlackBerry Desktop Software the program does not recognize that my device is plugged in. This has been going on for months now that it will not sync, I just haven't desperately needed to sync my phone until now. I have tried pulling the battery and pulling the sim card. I have also tried other USB cords.

    I haven't knowingly changed my password for Blackberry Desktop Software, but it's not accepting it. I tried 9 times hoping to get the security question prompt but I didn't get it. I have only one more chance or it will wipe out my data. I don't have a data plan. I just use it as a phone, camera, etc.

    It should be the same password used to access your device. Make sure you're not mixing up numbers and letters. Many people make the mistake of thinking they're typing numbers on the device only to be typing letters and while you think you're pushing 1 2 3 4 on the device keyboard you're really pushing the letters w e r s.

    I have an HP 7515 All-in-One printer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the operating programs on my Dell XPS 8700 Win7 Pro several times and it says everything is working the way it should but when I click on the desktop icon, the program will not open.     I'd like to help get your Photosmart 7515 up and printing from your computer. I am not aware of an area in the printer software that is installed on the computer's Desktop that allows you to print an envelope, but I hope this helps get the icon working again.
