Are you on a BES?  If so, you need to contact your IT administrator.  That information from from them not from Verizon.

  • Exchange 2007 Environment with BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5

    Hi,
I am planning to migrate Exchange 2007 to 2013 DAG with BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5. For BlackBerry Users, How can I configure to work with Exchange 2013? Because Exchange 2007 works with MAPI for BES but 2013 with RPC/HTTPS.
Do I need to set up new BlackBerry Server? Please advise

Have a look in the Blackberry
    KB33413.
As stated in this blog this seems to be an "all or nothing for BB mailboxes". So if you plan to migrate slowly it would be the best to install
    another BB Server.

  • Curve 9300 Blackberry Enterprise not available

    Hi everyone,
I am currently using the Curve 9300 and I am not able to use my work email with the Blackberry Enterprise software. When I go to settings --> advanced system settings (which it says has enterprise activation) THERE IS NO ENTERPRISE ACTIVATION OPTION...
I also go to the set-up wizard and click email and my only options are yahoo, gmail, aol, windows live. There is no option for Blackberry enterprise.
    Please help!!! Thanks in advance

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Here is a KB that discusses that error:
KB10192 No Enterprise Activation icon is present on the BlackBerry smartphone
Hopefully it contains something useful! There also are multiple existing threads on this site that discuss that exact error...your review of those might prove useful, and a search of this site, using the error message, error code, or symptom, should reveal all applicable existing threads to you.

  • S/MIME Capabilities in Blackberry Z10 - Blackberry Enterprise Server

    Hello,
I haven't received any answers regarding my questions so I decided to repost it. Could someone from Blackberry explain why RIM chose to change a client-based solution like S/MIME and use as a server-based feature under Blackberry Enterprise Server?
Answers like "because we have been doing it all the time" is not what I am looking for and it should not be an answer from a security-conscious company like RIM.
    Thank you,

    Hello,
Given the wording of your question and thereby just to set your expectation...please review this information (which is at the top of every page on this site):
So, while you may get lucky with a response from a BlackBerry representative (from time to time, they do drop by), you should not be expecting a formal nor authoritative response via this site (the Ts and Cs also confirm that, even when a BB person does respond, it is not to be taken as BlackBerry authoritative).
    Good luck!

  • IPhone equivalent of Blackberry enterprise activation?

I have moved from blackberry to iphone. I was using Blackberry Enterprise Activation to sync all my emails etc. How do I set this up with iphone 4?

You can most certaily connect your E61-1 to a BES server as long as you use the Blackberry connect desktop application and PC suite together on the computer that has the MS-exchange e-mail accout setup on it in outlook. We have our onw Blackberry server and I have set it up on an E61 for a staff member with no problems at all using the software mentioned before.Message Edited by serenity on 06-Feb-2007

  • Get option back - "I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server"

    Hello,
I have a Virgin Mobile USA blackberry.  When I go into the Setup Wizard - Email setup the only option I get is "I want to create or add and email address".
How do I get the other option that says "I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server" back?  This option was there before I activated the phone but is gone now.  No email accounts have been setup yet.
I am trying to use this phone with a work account.  I have my Enterpise Activation Password but I have no place to enter it.
    Thanks
    Scott
    Solved!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
    Have you tried here:
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Enterprise Activation

Given this, I suspect actually that your account, from your carrier, does not include BES. If the above mentioned item is not in your menus, then that would likely confirm this. I suggest you contact your carrier to ensure you have a BES-level account from them.
    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Enterprise Cloud Services - MS Exchange Online Plan 2 - Support for Legacy 7.1 Devices and Costs?

    Hello.
All questions below relate to the MS Exchange Online Plan 2, and BlackBerry Enterprise Cloud Services (BBCS).
         -  How much does it cost to install the BBCS service?
         -  Is there support for legacy 7.1 BlackBerry devices?
I have searched online for these answers but I've been unsuccessful answering these two questions. I'm aware that BBCS is available
for the Exchange Online Plan 2 but I cannot confirm if there is a fee. Likewise, I've been unable to find out if legacy 7.1 OS BlackBerry devices are support on BBCS.
    Many thanks.

I recommend that you post this in the Exchange Online (Office 365) Forum:

    Hello ashishl,
Thank you for your question regarding obtaining the Facebook and Twitter applications.
All of the applications that BlackBerry makes are available via the BESC.
Here is the link for the site: www.blackberry.com/besc

  • IOS vs Blackberry - enterprise security comparison

I need some help on establishing the security of iOS devices in the enterprise compared with Blackberries.
Our security-conscious company uses Blackberries but is seeing increasing numbers of staff using 'unofficial' iPhones and iPads to access the Exchange 2010 server and other network assets - connecting to the office network using the same VPN connection made available for remote laptop access. There is currently some debate about whether this should be stamped out'. The powers that be opine that Blackberry is inherently safer and are inclined to ban iOS devices from accessing network assets, but my suspicion would be that both platforms are secure if deployed properly. Moreover, security is not an all-or-nothing concept but should be analysed in bits (e.g. can the connection be hacked, can data on the device be hacked if it is lost or stolen, can the device be remotely wiped, etc.).
The iPhone enterprise deployment guide should tell our systems folks everything they need to know about secure deployment, and my guess would be that we could make and enforce a policy that meets or exceeds the security available using our current Blackberry policy. Hoever, we're not yet at the stage that our systems folks are willing (or allowed) to support iOS. What I need first, therefore, is some objective discussion/comparison of the different security aspects of Blackberry vs iOS. Blackberry posts a 'white paper'  by 'J. Gold Associates' by (http://us.blackberry.com/business/leading/Choosing_an_enterprise-class_wireless_ operating_system.pdf), but it's from early 2009 and seems to be entirely pro-Blackberry. Can anybody suggest some sources?
    Many thanks,
    Jim

It has something to do with ios 6 and netgear, I know that for sure, ios 6 and netgear had problems pre 6.1.
I'm not sure what you mean by if it ever worked? Yes it did work, the iPad 2 on ios5 worked fine, and the other two still on ios 5 work as expected. The iPhone 4 worked the same, no problems until ios 6. Any other non-ios 6 device works as well.
I'm not sure if it is a router / firewall problem, I wouldn't rule it out, but it HAS to be something to do with ios 6, there's just no other explanation for it :S. If you also add in the fact that netgear and ios 6 had terrible problems, it makes sense, the problem is trying to solve it :S
I know that ios 6 works fine on other access points / routers, which is why I added netgear to the title, I'm particularly interested in any other people that have netgear wifi and had similar issues with ios 6.

  • MX 7 Enterprise configuration type

How can I find out what configuration was installed when the
CF MX7 Enterprise edition version was installed on the server that
    I am working on.
I want to set up multiple instances and from what I have read
this would require J2EE or the multiserver configuration. I have a
bad feeling that neither was installed, but I want to be sure.
My next question would be can I "reinstall" CF without having
to uninstall as the server is pretty well established and well
    used.
    Thanks

Please uninstall the CF(if installed). Then delete the CF
installation folder from physical drive. Reboot the system.
And try to install again. Hope this will do.
    Thanks
    Sankalan

  • Blackberry Enterprise Activation for Nokia devices

    Hello,
My company's policy for the activation of BlackBerry devices is to go through wireless Enterprise Activation.
This option does not seem to be available in the BlackBerry setup screens of the Nokia E70.
    1. Does anyone know if Enterprise Activation is supposed to be available on Nokia devices?
    2. If not, what should be done by our IT administrator (on either BES or Exchange) to allow the activation via the BlackBerry Connect Desktop application to work?
    Regards,
    Yata

You can most certaily connect your E61-1 to a BES server as long as you use the Blackberry connect desktop application and PC suite together on the computer that has the MS-exchange e-mail accout setup on it in outlook. We have our onw Blackberry server and I have set it up on an E61 for a staff member with no problems at all using the software mentioned before.Message Edited by serenity on 06-Feb-2007
