Blank Contact Sheets!

I'm an experienced user of Lightroom but am feeling pretty dumb - I've triple checked my settings but I can't get images to show in Lightroom contact sheets. The selected images show in Library, Develop, Slideshow, Book and Web but won't show in Lightroom 5.0. Upgrading to 5.3 doesn't help.
Please help!

Don't know what could affect that. But how about just making a new preset of your own? If that works, delete the LR one?
Hope this does it...
Cheers,
Tom

  • Automator Action 'New PDF Contact Sheet' returns a blank page

I'm running into some bugs with Automator again. Seems like with each major OS update, things in Automator gets fixed while other things break.
This time, the New PDF Contact Sheet action seems to have lost its functionality.
To recreate the issue, I created a new workflow that , tion input and feeds them right into the single action (new pdf contact sheet), which outputs them to the desktop as a PDF file.
Every time, the pdf file is just a single blank white page. Am I missing something here?
Why is such a basic thing getting borked?

It works for me.  Here's the workflow I setup:
If the application is open dropping a folder of photos on it won't work. I  get the blank doucment.  One has to use the File ➙ Open menu and select the folder of photos.

  • Blank pdf contact sheet using Image Capture

I have tried using image capture to create a .pdf contact sheet of 12 jpgs but when I open the file it is blank.
Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong please?

Try with a resolution of 75 or 150.
Also when printing there are options to "fit to 1 page". The recipient should do that.

  • OUTPUT tab is blank, it doesn't show options for creating contact sheet

Bridge CS5 on 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac running 10.6.8
The title says it all. When I go to the output tab to create a contact sheet. None of the options show up anymore.
I've reset preferences and the issue still persists.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?
    Thanks!

I am connected to a network but we don't share applications. CS5 Design Premium is installed on my machine.
    See screenshot below:
What is the relevance of this? We seem to have the same location for the output module file.
    Why does mine not work?
    See screenshot below:
The Adobe Output Module is in my Startup Scripts but it still doesn't work.

  • I want to create a contact sheet in Bridge CC and there isn't an output module..

I don't seem to have the Output Module for Bridge CC. I read how to copy and paste it into the Bridge Extensions folder. It did copy it, and it did add "output" to my menu bar but the content area is blank, so I cannot pick my PDF output options for a contact sheet. I even uninstalled Bridge CC and re-installed it. I was hoping the update included the Output Module, but it didn't. Any suggestions?

Does this help? Install Adobe Output Module

  • How can I make a contact sheet in Bridge CC?

I am working on a Mac OSX 10.9.1. I saw the output module did not ship with Bridge CC, and downloaded the files from Adobe to install it. When I finished and clicked on "output", the set up was blank. I followed the directions without success. I went back to the beginning, but now, cannot find "extensions" in the Bridge CC folder. Can anyone help me to create a contact sheet?

Read this one, has screenshots of directories where you should be.  http://forums.adobe.com/message/6032961#6032961?tstart=0#6032961

  • Automator: How to create a PDF contact sheet?

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a PDF from multiple images in automator. The PDF should contain:
First Page: A contact sheet with all images
Following pages: One page for each image
Any idea how to achieve this? I don't even get the contact sheet working – it always results in a blank PDF.
    Kind regards
    Jan

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the intructions in the link don't work (did it exactly like this -> result is an empty PDF). I learned now from other posts that this is a Mavericks specific issue, which seems to be unsolved.
Apart from this: Do you think my request is solvable at all? Because the output of the contact sheet module would be the contact sheet iteslf (if it worked). I can't use this to create the full sized PDF pages, right?

  • Snow Leopard contact sheet layout changes possible?

Unable to change contact sheet layout to suit my needs. E.g. I want 6 photos per page in two columns. The default option for two columns seems to be 2 or 4 photos/page. Ask for six and it creates two pages. The layout within the contact sheet seems to have lost some of the flexibility that OSX Leopard had. Is there something that I am overlooking?

    Thanks for your response.
This what I do without getting the results I would like for 8.5x11 paper:
    1. I select 6 photos
    2. Hit "Print"
    3. Select "Contact Sheet" - the 6 photos are shown at the top of the 'page' in two rows.
    4. Select "Customize"
    5. Select "2 columns" (in the hope of getting the 6 photos arranged on one sheet - with the sheet in portrait format. Instead I get 4 photos on one sheet and lots of blank space.
    6. Select "Layout" icon. I see a sheet with 12 rectangles and a "1" in the margin. I am unable to make changes to the layout as shown.
Hopefully I have described my situation well enough for you.
    Thanks
    Ken

  • Contact Sheet Problem

    Here is the scenario:
I start out with my standard contact sheet layout (saved)...6 columns, 6 rows, 8pt type, show file names, etc.
The file names are usually long and take up two lines. I adjust my vertical and horizontal spacing so that those file names are on two lines.
I update my contact sheet name with those perameters. But...when more than one page is required and I advance to the next page, I have to move my vertical and horizontal sliders to break the file name in to two lines. All this for every page. Even though all the specs for horizontal and vertical spacing are showing as being the same! I simply have to move each slider on every page just slightly...sometimes coming back to the same exact number that was there already! Is this a glitch???

Sorry -- missed your follow-up months ago  .
Let's either fix this or identify it as a bug.
Are you running the most recent version of Aperture?
Have you tried selecting another A4 setting?
Does it happen with another printer selected?
And -- although this is clear from your excellent description, I want to double-check -- the layout presented by Aperture is, for example, "7,8, blank, blank, 9, 10", and is not "7, 8, blank, blank, 11, 12"?  In other words, Aperture is laying out "n + b" photo locations where "n" equals the number of Images selected and "b" equals the number of blanks Aperture is adding?

  • Contact sheet title

    Working with iPhoto 4.0.3
I know how to print a contact sheet using iPhoto. Is it possible for iPhoto to add the title of the photo next to each image?
    Marc

This is not an ideal solution but in playing around with logos in the header, it occurred to me that you could adjust your logo to include the necessary blank space to move the Title to the right.
Still not perfect and it doesn't address the sizing, alignment issues but slightly better.

  • Printing Contact Sheet - Title Does Not Move With Margin

When printing a contact sheet (bloody thing won't save but that's already reported), I increase the left margin to 2cm to suit the folder that I use. If I have Title ticked in Page options, the Title remains in the same position which means it is obscured by the folder's border. The same thing happens with page numbers if you increase the right margin.
Is there any way to change the location of the Title and Page fields so that they can be aligned with the margins.
Also, it would be nice to change the fonts, alignments and sizes of these header items.

  • Contact Sheet II in Photoshop

Using PDFs exported from Indesign, i am trying to create a contact sheet via Bridge/Photoshop. The contact sheets continue to come up blank. I have tried PDFs, JPEGs, and TIFFs. Everything comes up blank. Can someone explain how i can make this happen?

And the same result happens with all file formats?
Could there be any objectionable letters in the files’ names?
As I can’t reproduce the issue I can only recommend generic trouble-shooting (starting with restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved):

  • Contact Sheet II "Upgrade"

Could someone please explain why Adobe took a perfectly good tool, Contact Sheet II, and made it more complicated and difficult to use, takes twice as long to get a final result, and then offers an unusable, optional plug in for those of us who were perfectly satisfied before they "improved" it in CS5? Did anyone ask a user before they "upgraded" this feature?

    demberadobe
I used my contact sheet II a little different. I have a psd template that I created for making jewel case thumbnail inserts. The template is 4.5x4.5", I make a contact sheet with 1 to 36 images sized to 4.5x4.5". Then, because it's a psd I simply drag and drop in onto my open template doc. I add the clients name and shoot date in a window at the top of the template. Make a print and slip it into the jewel case. Then just pitch the contact sheet and close my template without saving, so it's ready to go as a blank template for next time.
But this can no longer be done with the bridge contact sheet. I have to save the doc as a pdf, find it, open with... in CS5, select in the "crop to" drop down to "Trim box" (the default is Bounding box, so I have to change this every time I open a contact sheet) - (don't see a way to change the default). If I don't change the crop to setting, the default setting opens the pdf not at the same size it was created in bridge / contact sheet. You'd think that the default setting would open the pdf at the same size it was created???
Then I add one or more folder icons I made to indicated what is on the CD / DVD, example: a folder of e-mail jpegs, FPO's, etc.
Here is a sample of how I had used the old contact sheet II. With CS5.1 I have to jump thru several more hoops / steps to achieve the same thing.

  • Printing 20x30 Contact Sheet Poster

I'm trying to print a 20x30 contact sheet poster containing 98 images. I have a 300 dpi TIFF file imported into iPhoto 5 that comes in at 155 MB (6000x9000 dpi). However, when I try to order a 20x30 print from iPhoto, the dialog box tells me it's transferring a 10 MB file, nothing close to the 155 MB original. What am I doing wrong? I haven't let the order proceed yet because I'm sure a 10 MB file at poster size will look terrible.
    Thanks in advance. SJG.

    L,
Saving the TIFF file as a (minimum compression) JPEG reduces the filesize from 155 to about 40 MB. I can import this into iPhoto. But still, when I try to send the photo to iPhoto for printing it tells me it's transferring a 10 MB file. Is it converting the JPEG again to a higher compression version?
I've tried going to Kodak directly but for some reason when I try to upload my photo, Safari presents me with a blank page. So I'm stuck again.
I don't use an applet for making the poster. Is there one about? And yes, that should be 6000x9000 pixels. Sorry.
    Thanks in advance. SJG.

  • Questions: using Bridge CS3 to create ID contact sheets

I just discovered the powerful tool to create multi-page contact sheets from Bridge to InDesign.
By default, it will generate a 1 pt border color around the image as well as the caption text box. Also, there is no predefined text type and size. Photoshop contact sheets will let you choose the font type as well as the size.
Is there an extra script I need to download for InDesign or Bridge in order accomplish this or am I missing an option within one of these programs?

    1. I assume you are talking about thumbs for video files. I think it grabs the first frame of the video, which may be a blank screen. I have gotten around this by using snipping tool in Vista to make a jpeg shot to represent the video.
    2. Type in Metadata in Bridge Help and see if that answers your questions. Don't mix up the concept of metadata with keywords and ratings.
    3. It is always the best to back up you data to another hard drive or to CD's. A hard drive will fail at some point, usually when you have not backed up for a long time.
