Blank screen in iTunes after updating to iOS 6 on new iPad

I installed iOS 6 on my new iPad yesterday. When I open iTunes, it opens as blank white with black bar at top and rest white blank. My WiFi and everything else is working perfectly including Siri. I have tried rebooting the iPad (using both the normal shutdown and re-start method as well as pressing Home and Sleep buttons together for 10 seconds till Apple logo appears and then it shuts down). I am able to use App Store perfectly fine and have also been able to download apps and them successfully. I have tried re-setting the router and switched off and on the WiFi. The problem still persists. I have also searched the web for a way to re-install iTunes, but haven't found anything. Does anyone know of a solution? Please help as I would like to use iTunes on iOS 6. I do not want to be stuck with a non-functional iTunes till the new version, ie iTunes 11 arrives in late October.

Hi all...I just got a solution to the problem. It's foolproof. Connect your iPad to your PC and re-install iOS 6. In case you would like to know how - Click on iPad in iTunes and then click on restore button. Then just follow the steps from there on. It worked for me. I know this is a "not-the-desired" solution, but it will fix your problem. For me it solved another problem - I had noticed a deterioration in speed when I had originally upgraded from 5 to 6. After doing this re-install, I can confirm, there is a noticeable difference in speed...across the board, including Siri responses. Thanks and best of luck.

    Restart your computer
    While your computer is restarting, clear all of the applications from the background on your iPhone. You can do this by pushing the home button twice and swiping the programs off the screen by pushing them upwards.
    After you are done doing that, restart your phone.

    A bit of advice for you as a new user. Please refrain from making assumptions and using hyperbole. Both get in the way of providing useful support. Not "everyone" has tried the basics, let alone know what they are. That's why they're here. These first steps in troubleshooting often fix the issue being asked.     It means that the iPad has gone into recovery mode (all software has bugs, operating system updates don't always go smoothly). You will need to connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes by its cable, and that should recognise the iPad and let you reset it back to factory defaults - you can then restore to you backup, or just resent your content to it.

    Have you tried to reset it? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and see if that helps.
    You may need to restore your iPad. That's where you back it up, then restore it to factory defaults, then put your backup back on so you don't lose any data. Sometimes a fresh start clears out any glitches and can help.

    It may be that AutoFill is disabled in Safari, or that Private Browsing is on.
    Go to Settings > Safari > Passwords & AutoFill and make sure that Names and Passwords is on.
    Go to your Home screen and open Safari. If Safari is black or dark instead of white or gray, Private Browsing is on. Safari doesn't save account names and passwords when Private Browsing is on. To turn off Private Browsing:
    On iPad, tap the the plus icon in the upper-right corner of the Safari page, then tap Private in the lower-left corner.
    On iPhone and iPod touch, tap  in the lower-right corner of the Safari page, then tap Private in the lower-left corner.

    I am having trouble viewing a web page through safari after updating to ios 8 on my ipad.  On the left side of my screen is a list of my favorites leaving only 3/4 of the screen to view a web page.  Before the ios 8 update when I clicked on the safari icon it took me to a full screen view of my favorites with icons.

    Same issue here, seems to be fine on text based websites, but any with images on struggle to load.
    im on 100mb fibre, and all sites work fone on other devices, just my iPad since upgrading
    its loads the site slowly, displays about 3/4 of the page once loaded

    I don't know if I'm repeating my question. I can't restore my ipad after updating to latest ios. The battery went low, I had to eject and plug in to charge.  The set up will not complete without resoring from icloud or itunes (i backed up to computer using itunes) or setting up the ipad as a New ipad.  I want to restore all my stuff but the message I get in itune says "Find my ipad must be turned off before 'ipad' can be restored".  Go to icloud settings on your ipad and turn off Find My iPad before restoring your iPad.".  I cant' get to this setting on my ipad because the set up is not complete!!!  I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm afraid if I set up the ipad as new it will backup the new ipad over my previous backup and then I will loose all my photos, songs, aps, notes,......

    I have the same problem and we can't simply just restore from the backup. It says that I have to set up my iPad through restoring. So I tried restoring it in iTunes but it won't restore until I have to turn off this **** "Find My iPad" crap but I couldn't because the set up's not complete and it won't let me go to my settings unless I set it up. So basically it's asking me to go to my settings but before I could go to it I have to restore, and in order to restore I have to go to settings. Get where I'm at?
    Please, Apple Tech people! Help this 14 year old girl on her period, PMS-ing, thinking about how I want  to strangle however made this mistake of a set up, updating her iPad in 3 am in the morning cursing the day she even thought of updating.     Your device is in recovery mode.  All data on it are gone.
    Certainly you backed up your device before attempting something major like a software upgrade right?  If you didn't perfom this most basic of tasks, then your data are gone.

    Hey guys, so here is the thing. Yesterday, after two day struggle I finaly updated my iphone 4 to ios 7. Everything is pretty cool, i like it, except one thing, it doesnt ***** show in itunes anymore. Well during the update it crushed and got stuck to "connect to itunes screen" and wasnt recognized anymore, so i read somewhere that you need to use a different pc to update, so I wen to my friends house, and update went through, and then bam, I get back home, and it still doesnt show in iTunes anymore.     Thanks.  Helpful, but there are still two issues.  Home Screens are just images.  What I REALLY want to do is re-arrange the apps on the screens, which I used to be able to do by dragging and dropping.  I don't seem to be able to do that now. 
    Also, while the page tells me I have 83 apps, it still lists only one (Chrome).

    Try waiting about 30 - 60 minutes to make sure that it isn't just the software being installed. After that, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for 10 - 20 seconds until the apple logo appears.
