Blinking attributes for custom bitmap buttons

Hi Everyone,
I have a number of custom buttons that have custom bitmaps. I'd like to make
them blink, but the blinking attribute just seems to change the forground
and background colors for the applicable controls, and doesn't seem to do
the sme for a customized (in this manner). Am I missing something simple,
anyone know of a INI file switch or something that will just flash the
outline of my control in the blinking color?
As a temporary (I hope) workaround I have superimposed a few of the buttons
over invisible regular buttons, which I then blink fine, but this is rapidly
going to clutter up my diagram, or push me into subVIs. KISS would be
preferable

I'm getting flack from internal QA folks about the custom toolbar buttons not having the same "selected" color as the default buttons (Contents, Index). I've copied the background color info from the <btnselected></btnselected> section for the built-in Contents to the <btnselected></btnselected> section for a custom toolbar button, but RH is ignoring it.
Any hints?

You could try using the raw converter. Open one file and edit it (File>Open, pick the image and choose Camera Raw as the format before you click Open). Then open the next image and click the little four-lined square on the upper right side of the ACR window and choose Previous Conversion from the flyout menu.

MM06E005 - how to set screen attributes for custom fields?

Hi all,
I have implemented enhancement MM06E005. I have added my custom fields to CI_EKPODB. I have created and activated all the dynpros. I modified subscreen 0111 (items) to contain my new custom fields. I have activated the function exits (016,017,018) for the item screens. I am able to save data using the new custom fields on subscreen 0111.
What I am having trouble with is modifying the screen attributes for the new custom fields that I placed on subscreen 0111. I know it should be in exit 016(PBO) and I need to check the action type. I tried a "loop at screen" but my fields were not there.
How do I modify the screen attributes? Also, can I change the "Tab" text from "Customer Data" to be something else?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
In the PBO of the screen 0111, create a module. And in that module you can do LOOP AT SCREEN..where the screen elements will be available..

Javascript for custom Exit button on Saba LMS with SCORM 2004 v3 requirements.

What should I add to the javascript panel on a custom exit button in Captivate to properly exit a course uploaded to a Saba LMS with SCORM 2004 requirements?

I can confirm that the approach recommended by georgeyp worked for me with Captivate 5.5 and Saba. After publishing in Captivate, I opened the SCORM zip package and edited the imsmanifest to remove the masteryscore line. It seems that the LMS has nothing to compare to the 0 score value passed by Captivate and so it does not move the incomplete course to the Transcript and mark it ‘Unsuccessful’.
I did not have an issue with the course getting stuck on the first screen and just showing the LMS initialization text.
Note that I also tried the additional code (suggested but not guaranteed by Saba) and it did not solve the problem. I also tried using the 'SendTrackingDataAtEnd' SCORM template available in Captivate under Preferences > Quiz > Reporting. It did not solve the problem either.

Has the options for custom command buttons and scripts been removed from speedgrade?

I run alot of framecyclerDI machines and am looking to upgrade them but i cant seem to find any method of adding command bars and buttons like you could in the iridas versions of speedgrade i also cant see a way of executing any external scripts which for me is a big issue as i have a hell of alot of pipeline scripts that the artist could execute.... any ideas or have i just missed somthing ?.......(would love it if they added a python sdk)

Its actually more the other way getting speed grade to control outher things.
i.e
take the in and out points and send the track to a dcp creator
rendering and sending anotated frames directly into my databases notes system
taking the shotname and seeing if theres is a new version avaliable and pull it from the server to the local machine drive/cache
Theres a load more..but you get the idea .. using the buttons to execute these commands in the interface made these functions editor friendly...
I can get round some of the issues by reading from the autosave.ircp and setting up a PYQT GUI but that seems like a bit of a hack.
I understand the reasons to keep the UI uniform (editors dont like it when you move buttons) but Im suprised these options got removed as intergrating software into pre-existing pipelines would seem to be a selling point for any software..
Are there any plans in the roadmap for speedgrade that would help me in the future?

Is there a way to add Paypal code for custom donate buttons?

My website tracks donations for 4 separate programs via the item structured in the PayPal button. Each button has its own graphic and, therefore, requires the <form action ... code from PayPal. Needless to say the standard PayPal widget is not useful. In addition, all of the 4 buttons are on the header on the Master pages (Main, Interior 1, and Interior 1). Is there a way to incorporate the code from Paypal into the css pages?

Custom Exit Button not working..looks for required input field on screen?

I defined this EXIT button as type E in Menu Painter.
I am using "MODULE At EXIT-COMMAND" in my PAI.
SAP message still asks for the required input field when I select the function EXIT button?
The logic still will not break into the At EXIT-COMMAND of my PAI?

Which is the sense to create a button for exit-command and doesn't allow the exit if the input field is empty?
In SE41 I entered "Back" over the back button, "EXIT" over the exit button, and "CANCEL" over the cancel button.
I selected each one, and got a popup to enter "E" for each type. As I said they appear, but do nothing?
Did I need to set a status for these?
No you don't, it's only important to define a functional having the attribute for EXIT-COMMAND

Initial Load for marketing Attributes & Attribute sets in Cloud for customer 1405 version

Hi All,
I am working on Cloud for Customer Implementation with integration using Netweaver PI. SAP has just upgraded the CfC to 1405 version. In the latest integration guide & scenarios, there is provision to integrate marketing attributes & attribute sets as well.
I am following the latest integration guide (1405 version) but could not find any provision or template report for initial load of marketing attributes. Can anyone please assist in the initial load for marketing attributes?

as the marketing attributes ar now supported in release 1502 i would like to ask you if there is now a way to perform an initila load for matketing attributes (Attribute Set, Attributes and Attribute assignemnt). This would be very helpful for all integration projects including marketing attributes.

Why is VO getter not called for custom VO attributes?

The requirement is to add couple of fields on a OAF page. Here is what I did:
- Created custom VO by extending the standard VO
- Added fields to the page via personalization.
The issue is that the values for the custom fields on the page were not showing up. On investigation, I found the VORowImpl getter getAttrInvokeAccessor was not being called for my custom attribute. I tried to check the difference between the attributes for which the getter was called and for which it was not called. I couldn't find any and I'm totally left clueless as to what determines the getter to be called.
Really appreciate your help to move ahead.

Hi Anil,
First of all, Could you please make sure that Extended VO is being picked up during the execution of the page . Ensure that extended VO is substituted
If the VO is substituted then try Steps below
1. Enable the diagnostics .. show log on page statements
2. Search for your custom VO name .
If you can find your extended VO here, then substitution is right and page is picking up the extended VO.

Custom ribbon button does not show for a Tasks list

I created a simple app using Visual Studio 2012 to add a custom ribbon button for a tasks list. After deploying the app to the SharePoint online, the button does not appear on the ribbon. The exact same button gets displayed properly
when added to the ribbon for a custom list. The elements file with the location of the button gets generated, so I can't imagine it would be wrong, but just in case, this is what I have:

<CommandUIDefinition Location="Ribbon.ListItem.Actions.Controls._children">...
Any help is greatly appreciated.
One more thing, if I add this button using SharePoint Designer 2013, the button does not get displayed either. I have a feeling it might be problem with the Tasks list?

The button needs to be displayed only for one specific list. And as I mentioned, the elements file for the ribbon button was generated by VS, here is the content:

I usually used to implement numerical multiple value attributes for my customers, such as phone number by having a separate table, as below:-
•     >>Desc customer (PK)
Customer_ID
Customer_Fname
•     >>Desc Customer_Phone
Customer_ID
Phone_number
Phone_Type
Where both PK (Customer_ID & Phone_number)
But now i want to have a varchar multiple value attribute called preferences (such as reading, shopping, swimming, etc)
So here should i design my Customer_Favorite as
Desc customer_favourite Favourite_desc
Cusomet_ID (FK)
Having PK (Favourite_desc & Cusomet_ID)
Or
Desc customer_favourite
Favorite_ID
Favourite_desc
Cusomet_ID
Having Favourite_ID as PK, TO AVOID HAVING A VARCHAR FIELD IN MY pk as in the first approach.

Custom Attributes for Scheduled Transactions (Background Jobs)

Hi,
I am trying to fetch the custom attributes for scheduled background jobs. Since we are not using the XAcute Queries to run the automatic jobs, we can't use the AUTOBIND property for custom attributes and hence can't fetch them in the scheduled transactions. Is there any way to retrieve the attributes while scheduling a transaction ?

Hi Amit,
a way that works: inside your transaction you can call a XML query that reads out the property list for a given user. In the URL of the XML query you can add the user by using the IllumLoginName parameter.
- create a XML query with the following URL:
http://<server>:<port>/XMII/PropertyAccessServlet?mode=list&Content-Type=text/xml&IllumLoginName=<User>&IllumLoginPassword=<Password>
- in your transaction, call the query. You can retrieve the value of the attribute with a XPath expression like this:
XML_propertyAccessServlet_0.Results{/Rowsets/Rowset/Row[Name='MyAttribute']/Value}
Interestingly, adding a User / Password in the Scheduler Editor of the job does not work (MII 12.0.2). Maybe this would be also an option for you to try.

Can i create more than one attributes for the custom class created using java API

You can create a new class and define all of the Attributes at the time the class is created - this is the preferred way of creating classes. Use the addAttributeDefinition() method on ClassObjectDefinition. If you need to add attributes to existing classes, you can only add them one at a time (using the addAttribute() method on ClassObject).

Tooltips for custom buttons

To represent roads on a map as mouse-overable, clickable buttons, I extended JComponent, added the instances to a layer in JLayeredPane, and registered each instance as a Mouse- and MouseMotionListener on an invisible JPanel ("mousePanel") which resides at the top level of the JLayeredPane. There are some other layers above the road layer (but below the mousePanel).
What's the best (simplest?) way to implement Tool Tips for the road-buttons. Each button's bounds, and the bounds of components in the higher layers are set to the bounds of the JLayeredPane, so the ToolTipManager can't "hear" mouseEvents from the buttons themselves--they're blocked.
I don't think I can extend the ToolTipManager (e.g., to have it also listen to the mousePanel) without messing up its behavior elsewhere in the UI, where there are other conventional components that also use tooltips, since the ToolTipManager is a singleton.
I tried firing new mouseEntered and mouseExited events from the mouseEntered/mouseExited methods in the road buttons, but the ToolTipManager didn't respond to those either. Here are the key pieces, cleaned up for simplicity:

Just wondering if it would be possible to register a MouseMotionListener on your mousePanel that, on mouseMoved, could search the components below it for the top-most button and then set the mousePanel's own toolTipText to match the button's toolTipText. Perhaps SwingUtilities.getDeepestComponentAt() (or something similar) would help. Maybe have a look through the RootPane tutorial (especially the section on the GlassPane) for a similar situation.
