If the email provider is Google, try going to the gmail web portal, (log on from a computer or your iPad using safari), and manually delete the contents of your junk and trash.
I did this today, and the reappearing junk has not (as of yet) reappeared. Knocking on wood.

It goes on to tell me to search the App Store , choose an application, or cancel.

Hello. My iPad2 shows a message of iCloud Setup "Ingnore or Settings". When I press on either, it doesn't do anything. Screen is totally frozen. I have turned it OFF and ON and the message keeps coming back. Any ideas of what to do? Thanks

You are still under warranty. Call Apple Care. Make sure you get a case number as all repairs have an additional 90 days of warranty.

I have Firefox 3.6.10, desktop, Vista. Recently tried to upgrade to 3.6.11 and was told there was an error that could not be corrected and I must download the entire Firefox. How?

I've never had a problem with Firefox before (although I've had trouble with flash player). When I was notified a few days ago that the upgrade to 3.6.11 was available I downloaded it, or thought I did. Now I recall seeing a message several times of an unknown software error, but I didn't copy down the error number, didn't know what software had the problem, and ignored it because I wasn't having any problem that I was aware of. Then I received a message to upgrade to 3.6.11 again, and when I did, it stopped the upgrade at 95% and said "The update could not be installed (patch apply failed). I dread the thought of uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. If so, will everything be lost?

How to delete unwanted databases that keep coming back?

Hi,
Besides the usual Google mail database I have somehow acquired 2 other databases that I want to get rid off because I don't trust them.
The first is the one a lot of other people seem to have as well RLDGUID and the other one is from a blog I visited. It's called sql-evercookie.
I know how to delete the databases but when i do that they just pop back up. I have tried a lot of things, there isn't much you can do, I delete all my cookies, cache and history, rebooted the iPad. Nothing works. There must be a way to get rid of them right?
I especially upset about the sql one. It's from a friend's blog who hired a company to design her a ' professional' blog. Why that has to include putiing databases on people's devices I don't know but I sure will ask. In the mean time I want it gone.
Anyone has any ideas?

How can I eject a virtual disk that keeps coming back?

For my MBP, with OS 10.6, I bought a WD eternal hard drive which comes with back-up software, "WD SmartWare." I use the Time Machine, and don't need other back-up software (I assume). A virtual disk holds the "SmartWare", and it shows on the desktop whenever the hard drive is connected.
Here's the problem: If I try to eject the virtual disk and the partitions that I've put on the drive, and put my MBP to sleep to move to another location, the virtual disk icon immediately reappears - it will not stay ejected. If I simply pull out the USB of the drive, pick up MBP and go about my business elsewhere, when I return and reconnect the drive I get a warning that I've disconnected the drive incorrectly and could lose data, hence "don't do that!"
So, so far the only way I can avoid the warning is to shut down the MBP and then disconnect the drive and leave. Then, the drive is happy.
Question: is there a way to eject the virtual drive so that it stays ejected, so I can disconnect the WD hard drive to allow me a change of physical location using sleep mode and not shut-down for the Mac?

if you use disk utility to delete all partitions on that drive and create a new partition and format it with mac os journalled your problem will be solved

how do you eliminate mail that has been read? Delete does not get rid of it; edit/move to trash doesn't get rid of it. It is re-counted as Mail when it is old stuff.

In the settings for that email account, go to "Advanced" and be sure that "Delete from server" has "When Removed From Inbox" checked. It sounds like your emails are not getting deleted from the email server.

Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

How do I delete old email so it does not keep coming back into my inbox?

I am having so much trouble with my email on the iPad. I cannot delete it. It comes right back and floods my inbox. I have now gone to webmail and removed it from the serve and it STILL comes back. All the companies that I identified as SPAM with my server and do not come into my iMac inbox all come into my iPad inbox. It is horrible. I've tried everything...changing settings, etc. and the problem continues. The way it is now, the email function is almost useless on my iPad and it really should not be. I should be able to delete mail and have it stay deleted.

I've talked to Cox (my ISP) and they say this is the only way it can be set up. Two different people at the Apple store in this area have said that Cox has an old server and that is causing the problem. Cox says none of this is their problem, and they do not deal with the iPad email, only the iMac email.
I just noticed that the trash on my iPad was filled with the mail that keeps coming back. I deleted it...which I had never done because I didn't even know it was there. Nothing more has come back into the inbox (this could be purely accident, but it is the first time I've had an inbox with fewer than 24 old emails). Should I be deleting the mail from the iPad trash every day? Is there a setting for it to empty automatically..or does this not have anything to do with the problem?
I also did change the settings to add the 'west' but that probably doesn't matter.

I am having this issue as well. Here are the steps I have taken and it is still going on:
Deleted my ME account from all of my devices
Deleted undesired emails from icloud
Emptied iCloud junk and trash folders
Checked all my iCloud email settings to make sure trash gets emptied etc.
About 5-15 minutes later there are about 11 emails that keep coming back. This is getting old and if not fixed in a few days will be closing all of my iCloud accounts for good.
