Blu-ray play error, hp pavilion

==================================================================
Some blu-ray discs like Fantasia and Scott Pilgrim do not play with HP MediaSmart DVD saying every few seconds  "content is protected. content is not allowed to play in current display mode". win 7-64 bit, hp pavilion elite hpe-361c dvi or hdmi cable. Same discs play fine on hp pavilion m9457c with vista 64 bit
Some discs do play, like Karate Kid and Expendables. Strangely, Expendables played fine, reinserted and displayed the error, reinserted and played fine!
hp tech support in India spent a few hours of my life uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and software to no avail. hp tech support US, level 2 suggested googgling for codecs!?
This is an expensive, top-of-the-line desktop bought at Costco a few months ago. The next one will NOT be HP!

how to connect my sony blue ray play to wifi via my airport utility?

The airport utility has nothing whatever to do with the sony bluray player.
The airport utility is to setup wireless in the airport.. once you setup wireless then you use the sony setup for wireless in the player as per its manual.
Please do keep the wireless names short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
As well as pure alphanumeric passwords if you want to do this successfully.

Blu-ray: "fatal error", Code: "6"; "Note:"
That's the error I got when Encore CS3 started to actually write to the bluray burner.
It's worked many other times but this time it did everything except the burn.
If I reboot or change blanks it doesn't seem to matter. When it gets to the stage of starting to write to the disc, I get the message above.
    Real helpful, right?
Hope there some "real" help here.

I can't seem to get any response here so I'm wondering if there is any list of Encore errors on the Adobe site? Errors like this are pretty meaningless unless you have a list of explanations. Any cluses who might have one?

  • How do I add a second dvd burner (blue ray) to a HP Pavilion 500-023w?

I have a fairly new Pioneer dvd blue ray burner that I would like to install in my HP Pavilion 500-023w. It is currently residing in my old XP machine, also a HP Pavilion. I guess that there is a different front panel that will acept a disk drive ?? The plastic front plate just below the installed drive is very large and will have to be completely removed to install any thing. I know this pc only has a 300 watt power supply, but I will only be using one drive at a time anyway. (Worked well in my old Pavilion...also a 300 watt supply!)
Any one know how to get a drive into this machine? The drive is a Pioneer BDR-S07XLT. It has a SATA interface. I will probably need updated drivers for the drive as it says that it works in Windows 7, XP and Vista.

Thuis video is of some use:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXk5sPvSdD8
You only have one 5.25 inch optical drive bay so you are going to have to remove the existing drive and replace it with the one you want.
    Specs
The video shows how to add a pci-e card but does show opening up the unit. It looks like you need to remove the power supply, unbolt the optical drive and slide it back and out of the case. Replace it with the Blu-Ray drive. You will not need drivers but you will need software to play Blu-Ray movies. You can actually modify VLC media Player for free to play Blu-Rays. Just google a bit and you will find out how.
    Good luck.

  • Share Blu-ray Qmaster Error

Hi, I'm trying to export my first Blu-Ray today and I'm getting an error.
It says, " Share Failure: HOST (............local) Final Cut Pro generated an error or unexpectedly quit.
It has also said, "Share Failure. An Internal error occurred: Apple Qmaster File Agent not found." I've seen other similar post on using this feature but none about exporting and burning to BluRay DVD.

If you have a Quad or Octo core MacPro then here's how to set up a cluster:
    http://www.fcsoutlet.com/home/StudioOutlet/Entries/2008/9/1_Virtual_Clusters_-Compressor.html
However the weird thing is I did my Blu-ray on a new MacBook Pro and the cluster was already set up - I didn't think you could cluster with just two cores.
It worked so I didn't look too closely into it.
Make sure you send rather than share.

  • Encore CS6 Blu-Ray "fatal error" during build

I have an external ble-ray drive that I just bought from OWC for my MacBook Pro. I have created a project for a wedding that has 3 sequences. Everything looks good, and the building/burning process gets about 90% done and I get this:
Blu-ray Error: "fatal error", Code: "6", Note: "Video buffer underflows. Total bitrate is too high near time = 0.0000000 seconds - Failed to multiplex with maximum IG PTS: 54900000 (in 90kHz).
I am new with Adobe, especially Encore. This is my third try with the same message. I tried building to Blu-Ray disc as well as Blu-Ray image. I have several couples waiting on a Blu-Ray disc for their wedding video, and I can't produce one! So frustrated!
    Any help is MUCH appreciated!

This is actually a very interesting error message. There are 4 blu-ray authoring programs that can display a error message that contains "video buffer underflows" when authoring a Blu-Ray with H.264.
These 4 blu-ray authoring programs are: Sony DVD Architect Studio, Sony DVD Architect Pro, Adobe Encore and Sonic Senarist BD.
Another interesting thing is also that the complete error message that is displayed by both Sony DVD Architect Studio and Sony DVD Architect Pro is exactly identical, word for word, with the error message that is displayed by Sonic Senarist BD.

  • Blu-Ray: fatal error

I'm getting an error when trying burning a Blu-Ray Disc.
    Error:
Blu-ray Error: "Fatal Error", Code: "6", Note:"
using Tyan S2696A2NRF with LG GBW-H10N and Pioneer BDR-202
    Any idea?

I'm having the problem again, and I even repair installed msxml 6.0. I think the problem may be related to the use of 29.97i format this time. My successful build last month was a 24p video.
I am taking 30p video and rendering it as 29.97i for Blu-print. I also am using one simple menu. Maybe I'll drop the menu and see if the build will complete. Could be a problem with the menu or the video being interlaced.

  • Blu-ray Fatal Error Code 6: Video Bitrate too High?

So I get this error every time I try to encode my Blu-ray disc. I am assuming that the bit rate I used to encode from Premiere was too high. Am I correct? If so, does this mean that I need to re-encode all of my assets at a lower bit rate before bringing them into Encore? Or is it some other issue? I did read all previous posts on this topic and couldn't really find an answer.
    Thanks for any help.

    Stan,
I don't fully understand either of your questions, but I am sure I can provide an answer that you will understand so here goes.
My audio files in Encore are actually wav files, but in my the root project folder they are ac3. Is ac3 an audio codec or something? I don't understand this. I guess they are session files, whatever that is... And why does this matter?
And what do you mean that Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder should not allow any peaks. Do you mean bit rate peaks?
And my only worry with making a modest drop in the bit rate is the fact that I have to render out almost 20 files before I can test out my Bluray burn again. This obviously takes some time to do and if it ends up not working it can be quite frustrating.
Thanks again for all of the help Stan. Hopefully I can fix it by just adjusting the bit rate.

  • Blue ray Export error code 2

Try Save As and rename the file. Can you export the file now as a different format?
I'm guessing it's a corrupt file or it's written on bad blocks on your drive resulting in problems.
    Run Repair Permissions:
    1. Open Disk Utility in your Applications/Utility folder.
    2. Click on the First Aid tab and select Repair Permissions
    3. Click on the icon for your boot volume.
    4. Click the repair permissions button.
To Repair your drive, you have to boot from another device.
Option 1) If you have your Install CD for Snow Leopard you can boot from the CD to run Repair Drive.
Option 2)  If you have a clone backup, you can boot from the clone and run Repair Drive.

  • Blu ray burn error "please check boot volume space"

Hi, every time I use Compressor 3.5.3 to burn a BD (on LaCie BD drive), I get the error "Finishing: could not create the DVD (Please check to see if your boot volume has sufficient space)". However, my boot harddisk has over 200 GB free space.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi
I have had exactly the same issue. I have got a work around (below) but have not got a fix if anyone can shed any light on it.
It seems to be something to do with the preferences getting messed up but for us it's only is an issue if we try to burn to a dual layer blu-ray. From what I understand when you start the share process it determines the capacity of the output media (blu-ray disk) and updates the preferences accordingly, the dual layer disk MUST be in the drive ready before starting the share process otherwise FC assumes it's a single layer. What seems to happen is FC doesn't update the preferences to dual layer which causes the burn process to bomb out as described. The workaround we have found is to nuke the preferences before we try and run a dual layer share.

  • PE11 Blu-ray play problem, etc.

I just created my first video in PE11 and burned a Blu-ray disc. I made it as an auto play instead of with menus.
When I played it in my Blu-ray player, it would play but functions such as fast forward and rewind were not available.
Any ideas about what would cause this?
Also, I'm somewhat confused about the best method of creating a Blu-ray disc image to burn multiple discs rather than
waiting for each burn to render. It doesn't seem to have this function in PE for Blu-ray although it is available for DVD.
However, I noticed that there are multiple choices for saving as an HD file. Would any of these work?
Also, I have Roxio Toast 11. Would it be better to burn the first disc in PE and then copy the disc in Toast as a disc image?
This would seem to make sense, but I'm wondering if it is the best way.
I'm using a recent model Macbook Pro.
    Thanks for any help offered.

Unlike the Publish+Share/Disc DVD and AVCHD, Blu-ray has never had a burn to folder option, just burn to Blu-ray disc.
Many have used the Phantom Burner in conjunction with Premiere Elements to create a disc image for the Blu-ray. I have written about it in several places. Here is the latest.
    http://www.atr935.blogspot.com/2013/11/pe12-disc-imagephantom-burner-pe.html
The above is applicable to Premiere Elements 11 Windows.
You wrote for your autoplay Premiere Elements Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc...
When I played it in my Blu-ray player, it would play but functions such as fast forward and rewind were not available.
Any ideas about what would cause this?
This would seem to me to be a function of your player and its remote, not Premiere Elements. For comparative purposes, have you looked at "fast forward" and your player with an autoplay disc as well as a disc with menus in this instance? Are you using a BD-R or BD-RE Blu-ray disc? What do the instructions for your player say about it fast forward function and Blu-ray discs?
    You may not be alone.

  • Blu Ray playing software

Hey I know this has been battled a lot but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me.
I have an external blu ray player that sis recognized by my Mac, I can see the Blu Ray drive and the Blu Ray disc information but I cannot play the video itself. One third party software that kind of works is the macgo Mac Bluray Player but it only plays the video itself it doesn't let you access the menus or anything. Does anybody know of any third party software that allows you to watch Blu Rays?

  • DVD/CD/Blu-Ray Drive on HP Pavilion DV6 not working....

    HP Pavilion DV6 with Blu-Ray
The DVD/CD/Blu-Ray drive suddenly stopped popping open or being recognized. I need to double check that there is nothing else I need to try to fix before having to buy a replacement part.
    I've already tried....
    1. reseting my computer back to factory settings (I know I had a virus or malware and then when it died I just decided to set the whole thing, but it didn't fix the dvd drive)
    2. Removed cd. (I had to remove the drive to get the cd out. It was a library cd so I thought that the security strip on it might have caused a problem.)
After these two things it still isn't working. Everything else is fine. I just want to make sure there is nothing else I need to try or check before buying a replacement part.

    Hi RavenMidnight,
For the DVD/CD/Blu-Ray drive no longer ejecting, there is not much troubleshooting that you can do to resolve the issue. I have included the document 'Opening a Stuck CD or DVD Drive Tray (Windows 7, Vista, XP)'. This document will show you two ways as a work around for opening the drive. When you do have the drive open, double check to make sure that there are no obstructions in the path of the tray.
If there are not obstructions, and the tray is still not functioning properly. I have included the document for 'Steps for Removing and Replacing the CD or DVD Drive'.
Please let me know if any of these steps have resolved the issue, thank you.

  • Blu-Ray "device error"code 3 note

Im getting this error on almost every progect I do I
Remove the all the files from
    /Volumes/Mac HD1/Adobe Encore Projects/BD/AuthorScriptHDMVSessions/
And sometimes this works this time it is not.Ive been searching the web on this and its been going on since CS3
1.How do I get this to work?
2.Why has this error been going on for so long (3 versions) ?
IM using Encore CS5 Mac Pro
    Thanks
This photo is from a different post that had the same issue

The Error code 3 comes mainly in two scenarios:
    1. When the AuthorScriptHDMVSessions files gets corrupted and
    2. When either your Blu ray disc or the burner is damaged.
This device error is most probabily because of your damaged disc.
    Try using new BD.
    Best of luck.
    Thanks,
    Ramesh.
