Bluetooth Disappears in Windows 7

Hello.  I have recently noticed that bluetooth is no longer available in Windows 7.  When I first installed Windows 2 months ago everything was working perfectly.  However, now bluetooth is no longer available in the bottom right corner of the desktop, in devices, and in device manager.  This happened once before and the only way I could fix it was to delete my Boot Camp partition and start over.  I have tried reinstalling the Boot Camp drivers from the Mac OS X Install Disc that came with my Macbook Pro (the computer I am having trouble with).  Everything still works as it should under Lion.  Thank you so much, your help will be greatly appreciated.

i'm getting a different problem with my bluetooth.
currently running Windows 7 on Sony Vaio NS30e, and I can pair the phone...the usb dongle works, however, when transferring music files wirelessly it stops at anything under 30%. I have tried uninstalling the bluetooth drivers and installing others but to no avail...i get the same hanging problem.
I can transfer photos no problem, click to send via bluetooth on laptop, set the phone to receive but no luck with music files.
any help is much appreciated. (also posted in Curve 8900 section)

    Download and install this update combo. This update combo for Snow Leopard can bring any version of Snow Leo up to 10.6.8 with the lastest version of App Store for Snow Leo.

  • Unable to update Thinkpad Bluetooth SW on Windows 7, 6.2.1.1401 update dated 22 June 2010

    Can anyone help me update my Bluetooth SW for Windows 7 32-bit? I tried to load Lenovo's latest software update from their website and receive a Windows 7 1935 error message: an error occurred during installation of assembly. Phone support is Atlanta was not able to help stating the two options I have are the Lenovo download that did not work, or using my ThinkVantange System Update Tool that will not update to this version. My current bluetooth SW driver version is for 2008 when I had Vista OS. I basically am trying to get a bluetooth headset (Motorola H17txt) to work with my computer. It pairs, but does not even function as a headset. The bluetooth headset functions properly on my other laptop using Windows XP. Thanks, Jeff

    What version of Bluetooth software do you currently have installed?
    Did you try uninstalling the Bluetooth software before installing the newer version?

    Hi @iamvinod34 ,
    Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Pavilion g6-1318ax Notebook and needing help with Bluetooth. Here is a link to fixing Bluetooth issues.
    If that does not help try looking at the section in this document Labeled: Make sure that wireless communication is turned on. Sometimes just turning on and off the Bluetooth helps.
    Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system. If an updated is needed this could cause this issue.
    Hope this helps.

  • Bluetooth disappearing

    I know there are numerous posts on the solution to this issue. It ranges from resetting your firmware, to resetting your power management to rebooting and removing your battery for a few minutes. My own bluetooth unavailable issue is solved by merely a reboot.
    What I am deeply concerned about is the wide spread nature of this issue. After perusing the posts on this board, I can conclude many people have this issue and it isn't limited to powerbooks, but exist also on Mini's, iMacs etc.
    The second concern with this problem is the frequency it occurs at. Personally, I've had it happen to me twice already since I purchased my Powerbook a mere 2 weeks ago.
    I find it unacceptle to have my Bluetooth disappear on me every few days forcing a reboot. I was hoping Apple knows about this issue, and there is a plan for a fix.

    I tried the Apple help desk to get their help with this problem with a Plantronics 2500 headset. ('Headset? What's a headset?,' asked the help desk.) They said they supported only mice and keyboards. Sorry. Go ask Plantronics what to do.
    Apple should get more involved with their products. I guess this is the downside of success, either that or Steve is having so much fun with the iPod he cant get interested in his bread and butter product line....

  • Bluetooth quality in Windows 7

    I bought a Plantronics Voyager 835 bluetooth headset to use with Skype.
    In OS X 10.6 the sound quality is quite good. In Windows 7 (latest updates) it's terrible.
    The Windows control panel is showing the device driver as CSR plc 5.0.14.0.
    Is there a different driver I should try? Any other advice on how to improve the sound quality>
    Thanks.

  • Bluetooth connection to Windows Vista

    I tried to connect the iphone 3 G S via bluetooth to my windows Vista Laptop, for wireless sync. On the driver install, one bluetooth part>> bluetooth periphal device << can not be installed<<<. No update is avaialable from Windows. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    The iPhone does not support anything higher than A2DP headset protocol (cellular to headset). It does not support BT<->PC protocol or BT<->Car/GPS Device Bluetooth Protocols.
    Some phones do have this protocol from more popular brands like Sony Erricson or Motorola cellulars. You can use TomTom's "What phones can be supported with my GPS device?" section that has a list of phones that can do traffic report data streaming and phone contact lookup with voice control.

  • TS3927 My summary tab has disappeared in windows 8 now it asks me where to open eg file manager?

    My summary tab in Itunes has disappeared in windows 8 when I open ITunes.  It keeps asking me where to open now eg file manager.  Totally frustrated.  Can anyone help?

    What you're trying to do now is:
    EFI->kernel (EFI stub)
    This is appealingly direct, but it's tricky to get working. What the wiki now recommends is:
    EFI->gummiboot->kernel (EFI stub)
    ...or...
    EFI->GRUB->kernel
    These approaches are less direct, but they're easier to configure. The trouble is that both the EFI's built-in boot manager and the EFI stub loader are tricky to configure. For a newbie to get them both configured correctly on a first attempt at installing Arch is very difficult. Getting the EFI to launch gummiboot or GRUB is easier because these programs don't require the complex parameters that the EFI stub loader requires. Those parameters can instead be specified in the gummiboot or GRUB configuration file, which is easier to manage for quite a few reasons.
    If you want to pursue using the EFI stub loader directly, you certainly can. I've learned from experience, though, that it's not worth my time to try to help with users who want to do this. Using an intermediary program is easier to get working. IMHO, the direct approach has no real benefits except that it gives you bragging rights that you've done it. Your system won't boot any faster or more reliably in the more direct approach. (Well, technically it will be faster, by only by a matter of milliseconds, assuming you use a 0 timeout value in gummiboot.) In fact, it will be less reliable, because gummiboot, GRUB, and rEFInd all offer ways to adjust boot options on a boot-by-boot basis, which is very helpful when fixing problems. You can't do this with the direct approach.

  • Problems Connecting Apple Bluetooth Devices in Windows using BootCamp

    People are having trouble connecting bluetooth devices in windows 7 while using bootcamp. I solved the problem by clicking on bluetooth>ADD A DEVICE once windows has detected the bluetooth device you want to add. Now, right click on the device you are adding (make sure it's  "inside the add bluetooth
    Device window "see below" ) it will say "select your device". Then tick the box beside "drivers for Keyboard, Mice etc.," under "Bluetooth Services" (see below) and it will search the internet for your drivers and automatically install them. If you have any problems post a message. Good Luck

    Not sure if you can help me, but I can't add my phone or some bt speakers to my MBA2011 in bootcamp.  Drivers can't be found...and this is usually a problem of the bt controller drivers, not the device.
    It does seem the apple bt drivers are gimped in bootcamp.

  • [Guide] Bluetooth mouse in Windows 7

    Issue:
    Mouse will pair, however, the device will lose it's connectivity after 20 seconds of the mouse being in active. The user will have to click the mouse button to wake it up.
    *How to solve?*
    Go to Device Manager -> Bluetooth Radios - > Apple Built-in Bluetooth -> Power Management, untick the option to "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
    Hope that helps everyone
