Blurry/Fuzzy Videos
My exported work is turning out very blurry/fuzzy. For the web, I was advised to use the export settings
Format: h.264
Preset: PAL DV Widescreen High Quality
This is just to find out if there is a similar or an equivalent kind of setting when exporting to tape for TV for a sharper quality videos.
Yes, these are DV-AVI's
The blurry/Fuzzy is as seen on TV when broadcast by the TV channel, even though the picture quality is fine when I play it on TV via the camcorder at work.
Initially I thought the blurry pictures were from the channel/station until I realised my cameras (Sony HVR-Z5 Camcorder), though not the best for broadcast is of better quality than that of some of the other programmers who don't seem to be having this issue.
I'm wondering if there is something more I could do.

Video looks Blocky, Blurry, Fuzzy in AE (1280X720 29.97fps)
Im trying to make a montage of gameplay I have recorded of myself playing PS3 the files are .m2ts, so im using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 to cut the video into clips so I could then export them into AE (After Effects).
So it can make it esier to work with other than cuting the video in After Effects this way I have all my clips organized the way I want.
The way im doing that is by going over to Export --> Media --> with these settings Format: QuickTime Video Codec: Photo - JPEG Quality: 100
Now I open the rendered .MOV file using Windows Media Player and everything looks flawless nice video quality is not gone.
So then comes the AE part now my clips are ready to be mastered and added effects to so I go into Import --> File --> and choose my .MOV file which I have exported from Premiere Pro
But for some reason my video looks Blocky, Blurry, Fuzzy real low quality which is not what I want I have it set on Full and yet it looks horrible.
It looks like AE is having trouble opening the video properly or something in the settings is wrong but from my point of view the composition matches everything from the clips: 1280X720 29.97fps
Here is the picture of how my video looks on After Effects as you can see the text is wierd looking and in the settings you can see I have it on 100% and Full
This next picture below is how it looks on my Windows Media Player as you can see everything looks way nicer
Now this last image is the settings that come up on AE so that you can see my video has the right settings
If anyone can help me out with this I would really appreciate it I know there has to be a solution out there!

Cs6 3D axis widget showing up blurry/fuzzy
My 3D axis widget was showing fine( solid, clear, and visible in front of the mesh I was working on), but now It has started to switch between normal and Blurry/Fuzzy( as if it is sitting behind the mesh and the whole scene). It is very difficult to see sometimes and even more s to access it. Does anyone know of this problem, and if so, how t correct it? Also any troubleshooting advice would be helpful too.

Installed TWAIN devices: NONEYou probably have updated/ changed something in the driver. Undo those changes and everything will be back to normal. Otehr than that you could be working at a document size you haven't worked before or invoked some setting or tool you never used before that may trigger the behavior because it's beyond your graphics chip's limited capabilities...

What can I do to improve a blurry Quicktime video that was SMS' texted to me? I think it was taken on an Iphone and it was sent to me as a 1.24MB .mov file and I have Quicktime Pro if that helps. I REALLY need to make this as clear as possible, the audio is good, video is blurry. Here is some additional data:
anything I can even try? Sender is off the grid? I don't need a production ready copy just viewable?
You can rescale (stretch) the size of the display but this will only make it blurier and/or introduce pixellation. When the file was encoded at a lower resolution much of the original data was thrown away to make the file smaller. This data is gone/missing and cannot be recreated from what is left. What you've got is all you have to work with. Any filters you can apply will require re-compressing the file again which will likely introduce more artifacts and increase the size of the file without really improving its overasll quality. -
I need help I tried to use cloud backup on my iPhone 5.0.1 and after all my camera roll pictures are blurry and videos canot be played messege says URL not on this server ! Please help!!

Blurry/fuzzy fonts on external display (Dell 2209WA)
Hi, I recently bought a Dell 2209WA and I'm not too happy with how the fonts are displayed on it. All the fonts seems blurry/fuzzy/jagged.
I have tried to change the sharpness of the display as well as the font smoothing style(I get best results on Medium) in OSX. It gets a little bit better with these settings than with the defaults but far from good.
I'm running the display on a black MacBook through DVI, native resolution 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz.
Anybody else with this problem?I'm not sure if my problem is related, but I'm also connecting my MacBook to a Dell LCD panel via the mini DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter and I'm getting weird on-screen artifacts and intermittent flickering.
There's a known problem if you're using the mini DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter and Apple has provided a firmware update to fix the problem. If you're using that (and connecting to your Dell monitor via an additional VGA-to-DVI dongle, then you might want to grab the update.
But as far as I know, there doesn't seem to be a solution for the DVI adapter. -
Hi everyone,
I recently installed Windows 8 and i noticed that the screen puts a lot of strain on my eyes compared to Windows 7. It seems like the screen/text is blurry/fuzzy a bit putting strain on my eyes. It is not as crisp as it was in Windows 7. Almost too powerful?
Anyone else experiencing this issue?I bought an Asus laptop with a 1920 x 1080 resolution 15.6" screen and windows 8 and I find the screen is tiring. The laptop has an i7-4700HQ cpu with onboard gpu and a separate nVidia gpu for higher demand games and applications.
There is some Eye strain with this laptop. I have suspected:
1) the small text as I am entering presbyopia world at 44 this year, or;
2) perhaps it is the pwm way that led backlights are controlled in lcd screens.
3) I've heard windows 8 and newer text is problematic.
I do change the scaling of the text in windows on the laptop, and in apps like Google Chrome and IE, but that does not worsen anything. Scaling isn't worse, it only makes things bigger and easier to read, which seems to help, but I still get tired looking at
the laptop screen. I have Clear Type on and without it, things look worse. I have tried various brightness levels. The text on the laptop seemed to look nice at first. I thought it looked "smooth", perhaps because of the high resolution of the screen
(it is non-reflective matte). I suppose that is because of the higher resolution. In reality though, I find I am straining to focus on it. It seems oddly soft.
What I don't understand, is why is it when I connect my older 17" lcd monitor to the laptop and use that as the only display, the text in windows 8 on that monitor is also blurry, and worse than it was when I used the 17" lcd display with my AMD64 desktop with
XP Pro.
Is it the display card or windows 8? Not sure what to do. -
Do i need to worry? Today my imac desktop went all blurry/fuzzy. After i managed to shut it down and turn it on again everything was fine. What should i do ?

Premier Elements 13 I get fuzzy video after title
I have just installed PE13 and I am getting a few frames of fuzzy video just after a title.

Thanks for the update. Sorry that the news was not better.
I had hoped that the uninstall/ccleaner/reinstall would have had some impact on the issues. Taking the computer back to factory settings and Premiere Elements install might resolve the problem, but I do not think that you want to go that far.
You could try creating a new user account with administrative privileges and installing and trying to run Premiere Elements 13/13.1 from there. All the indicators seem to me to be pointing to the video card/graphics card situation.
But, would you consider this. Contact Adobe Chat to determine if you can get Adobe Staff support on this issue? The Adobe Chat support has been limited even for latest version 13, but you could try. If you want to try this, please click on the following link

My isight is very very blurry compared to earlier shots i've taken, I've cleaned the surface of the lense and it appears clear. However the pictures i'm now taking are much blurrier than previous. I'm wonderin if it's possible to clean the inside of the lense.

Unless you are an Apple-Authorized Service Provider (AASP), you cannot clean inside your MacBook Pro without endangering your warranty. There are no user-serviceable parts of iSight. Contact Apple or your local AASP if you think your problem is internal.
You can try the relevant suggestion for built-in iSight in Apple's How to Troubleshoot iSight first if you like.
One other possibility is that you are trying to take very different pictures. Built-in iSight is a fixed focus camera. If the pictures you consider "Blurry/Fuzzy" are of much closer or much more distant subjects than the acceptable images you made, you may be outside the limits of your iSight's Depth of Field or Hyperfocal Distance. Some techniques, such as adding more light, can help in certain circumstances. We may be able to offer other suggestions if you post details of how current and previous subjects differ.

Why do i get blurry fuzzy prints of PDF forms on my Deskjet 3050 since i moved to Win 8.1 (i didnt happen with Win *, so it seems a software prob)? I see that it is a recurrent problem for various users but nothing is done by HP nor Adobe to find a true software solution. I tried their ideas: reloading ALL software, usin "print image", turning on and off, e-print and regular... all of this to no avail. I now think of getting Canon or Epson

Do you face the same issue printing the forms on any other printer as well?
Try printing to Adobe PDF printer first and then print the generated pdf to the regular printer and check.

What is it you are trying to do? Restore an iCloud backup? Back up to iCloud?

I open Adobe premiere 9 and when i import my video into it, and put the video onto my timeline it becomes very fuzzy. I am using an Everio Camcord. The videos are fine on imovie, but not in premiere? any help- Mac osx 10.9.2

No matter how many tutorials you read, you are still going to know basic information about what you are importing into the project, how you are editing, and how you are exporting it.
The start should be to know and use the properties of what you are importing into the project. As I asked before:
What are the properties of your source media
Video compression
Audio compression
Frame Size
Frame Rate
Interlaced or Progressive
File Extension
Pixel Aspect Ratio
If you do not know, a start would be to tell us the brand/model/camera settings of the camera used to record the video and/or photos.
If it got more complicated than that and be needed deeper information, you could download and install video properties readout programs such as MediaInfo http://mediainfo-mac.en.softonic.com/mac
But, it may not need to get to that. We will do one step at a time.
But please understand, since you come with a problem involving fuzzy video, there are all important aspects of trying to get to the core of the problem.
After we determine the properties of the videos that you want to edit, we assure that you are using the right project settings. Those settings should match the properties of the video. So, here we are back at wanting to know the properties of the source video.
If you hve the right project settings and you follow with import of your video, then we go into the next phase of troubleshooting in the Edit area. That will involved rendered vs unrendered content and what the playback of that content looks like in the Edit area monitor.
But, for now, I would like to confine your focus to the source media and getting it into your Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 project with the right project preset. So put on hold thoughts of the Editing area.
Please review and then let us know if you are OK with the details and goals. Once we have this basic information, I will customize a step by step for you on how to get through a project that you want to do.

IChat 4 incoming video blurry / fuzzy / out of focus
I am having an issue with iChat video that I cannot seem to find an answer to.
The outgoing video from my computer is clear to me and the user on the other end, the incoming video is clear to the other user, but unclear to me. I am having any connection or sound issues, the problem is simply the incoming video is out of focus.
I have try all the different settings of the Bandwidth limit, but it has produced no change. I have adjusted the streaming video settings in quicktime, but that also did not produce any difference.
I am on a wireless, and the other user is on a wired connection.
I am at a loss..if my outgoing video is clear to the other user, but my incoming video is fuzzy...then it can't be the internet connection. The only explanation that I can come up with is that it would be due to the settings on my computer, however there really are not any settings...so I don't know what to do.
I have a newer macbook: 2.2 ghz intel core 2 duo with 4 gb of ram.
I am chatting with someone that has an iMac with 2gb of RAM but almost the same processor speed.

What Road Runner and Comcast do is play with the Data stream rate in a effort to stop people using Peer-to-Peer file sharing apps.
They do this by slowing things to a speed the makes them virtually unusable.
But it effects other people that have more legitimate reasons for streaming large amount of data in a constant fashion.
Setting the Speed in Quickitme may help.
It does seem though that people have better success if that set Quickitme as High as is it can be (The LAN /Intranet setting does not work for iChat 3 in Tiger so we tend to say 1.5Mbps to everybody)
Then in iChat use the Bandwidth Limit in the Video section of the iChat Preferences to cap the speed there to try and stabilise what you are getting.
As the figure he is getting is between two of the setting try the 200kbps one. this should be fast enough for a 1-1 Video chat and stop him bumping into the Max speed that is possible.

Many ISPs have what they call a "Fair Use Policy" which in many imply that at busy times they may not be able to maintain the speeds advertised.
I know of one Comcast customer who regularly reboots her modem on the basis that if she looks like a new customer it seems to happen less. I have no further info as to whether this works or she just happens to live in an area that is less effected by this issue.

Hello. I am trying to build a safe file for my home videos from Sony AVCHD camcorder. When imported to imovie 11, the movies lose quality. Interestingly, when I imported my old movies from a dv cassete recorder, the movies look excelent.
By searching the web, I learnt the problem is that the modern cameras compress the files, so that after importing we lose quality.
My question to the forum is how can I store the files? Is there a solution? Can Final Cut Pro help me?
I am not a professional, just trying to safeguard these videos.
