For some reason my Bonjour address on my iPhone keeps changing. Anyone know why that could be?

Multicast IP address keep changing on music on hold

I am trying to set up multicast for music on hold on the cucm 9.
on the cucm, I enable multicast audio sources on MOH server, using base IP 239.1.1.1, and set increment multicast on " ip address"
however the multicast IP address keep changing, sometimes its 239.1.1.1, then after a while it suddenly change to 239.1.1.2 etc..
here is the config on our srst router ( which specify the multicast ip is 239.1.1.1):
is there any way that the multicast ip do not keep changing as its affecting the MOH at the moment.

I was thinking to put a few more multicast IP,. but it only allow you to put one ( while the cucm set the IP address as increment)

If the Increment Multicast on radio button is set to IP address, each MOH audio source and codec combination is multicast to different IP addresses but uses the same port number. If it is set to Port Number, each MOH audio source and codec combination is multicast to the same IP address but uses different destination port numbers.

Hmmm, is Network set to using DHCP?
Go to System Preferences
Click Network
Highlight AirPort and click Configure...
Choose “By default, join: Preferred networks”
Select your access point and Remove your access point with the minus button.
Launch your keychain access in Utilities and delete your access point keychain entry.
Reboot
Go back to the “By default, join:” page and click the plus this time to add your access point. Enter the correct password, save, reboot.
Instead of joining your network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed

IP Address keeps changing so I can't access my hom...

I've recently had CCTV installed and when i'm overseas or out and about I cannot access the unit because the IP address has changed on my home hub.
Is there anyway I can prevent this from happening? i.e. Can I have a Static IP for my home hub?

IP Address Keeps Changing

I have the wrt350n router with two computers wired to it. I have winxp home on both systems.
When I do the cmd command and then IPconfig it will give me the router ip and the ending numbers are usually .100 and .101.
Recently these number have been switching. One week my main computer will be 100 and a week or so later it will be 101.
This messes up my port forwarding setup, so I keep having to modify those settings.
My question is, what causes this and is there a setting I can put on my computers that will not allow this number to change?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You use automatic IP addresses on your computers. When you start your computer it obtains an IP address from the DHCP server on the router. The DHCP server leases the IP address to the computer for 24 hours or until you shutdown the computer. The DHCP server usually picks the first available IP address starting at .100. Thus whichever computer comes first gets .100.
The computer which requires the port forwarding should never be assign dynamic IP addresses. You cannot configure the Linksys DHCP server to assign fixed IP addresses thus you have to set a static IP address on the computer like this.
Important: do not choose a static IP address inside the DHCP server address pool. By default the pool is 192.168.1.100-149. Choose any IP address outside this range. Otherwise you may end up with occasional IP address conflicts.

How can I block spam e-mail when the "from address" keeps changing?

How can I block a spam mail sender when that spamer uses a different e-mail address everytime! I have set up a rule with the spamers name (which does not change) and setting the rule to "is equal to" but it is not working.

i Have a yahoo and Gmail and use separate apps for this reason.

Your IP is asigned from the routers DHCP and has a lease time. If your lease is up and another PC requests a IP before your PC does then the IP can change. If you need to keep that PC to a IP you should access your router and set that PC up on a static IP. If you are hosting a FTP, Game Server, Web host, you should set the PC to a static IP to avoid the IP changing on you. Other then that if the IP does change it should not matter unless you loose your internet connection.

well i have had this router for a while now and for some odd reason my ip address keeps changing without me doing anything. No one in this house knows anything about routers and its password protected so i really doubt anyone knows how to get into the router.
Starting yesterday my ip address changed from 192.168.1.101 to 192.168.16.2 for no apparent reasons causing me to portforward everything i have, and now once i finished portforwarding, i am being forced to change it again because my ip went from 192.168.16.2 to 192.168.1.101
is there any way to stop this from happening because i get tired of portforwarding all my applications

I changed my email address and password. However the old address keeps popping up whenever I go to update my apps. How can I change it?

you cannot update apps that were purchased through your old email account without logging on to them because they were purchased through that one. It will only recognize the old one..... I have the same problem and have a new account but can't update all my original apps....very frustrating! I cannot remember the password and they want to mail it to a non existing email account..

Let's set a static IP address for the printer:
- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
- Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS.
- Click 'Apply'.
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

Works fine on computer but My phone is still asking me to sign in with old apple id. I can not figure out how to change apple id on my phone. I have sync'd my phone twice and still hasnt changed account info on phone. Any Ideas on what I need to do?

Start with the Settings app
Settings > iTunes and App Store > tap on your Apple ID and then tap on Sign Out
Then sign in with your correct Apple ID and password.

Name of computer keeps changing to My ***** (2)

I have changed the name of my computer 8 times today in settings/sharing to remove the (2) after the computer name. The last time I changed it and before I could do anything the name changed! After putting the name back, the computer will again show up in the shared computer area of the finder
There are some apps that won't sync unless the computer name is correct.
What is causing the computer name to keep changing? It used to happen occasionally, this many times times in one day is absurd! It just changed again while I was typing this question.

There are several possible causes for this behavior.
1. Two (or more) computers on the local network have the same Bonjour name, such as "X's-MacBook-Pro.local". Resolve the name conflict by renaming one or more of them in the Sharing preference pane.
2. You have two simultaneous connections to the same local network: probably Ethernet and Wi-Fi. If applicable, disconnect the Ethernet cable or turn off Wi-Fi.
3. A Mac wakes from sleep due to network traffic. This is a bug in OS X that may only affect some models. You can avoid it as follows:
Open the Energy Saver pane in System Preferences and unlock the settings, if necessary. Select the Power Adapter tab, if there is one. Uncheck the box marked
          Wake for Wi-Fi network access
if it's checked.
4. A device that gets its network address from the router wakes from sleep, and the address it was using before has been assigned to another device.
5. A third-party wireless router has incompatible settings or firmware. In that case, refer to the manufacturer or ISP for support. Restarting the router may help, temporarily.
6. If the router is an Apple device, it may need to be restarted.
7. A third-party Bonjour device on the network is malfunctioning. Finding out which is a process of elimination.
8. There is more than one DHCP server on the network. Typically, there would be two or more wireless access points configured to act as routers.

10. Back up all data. Make notes of your settings in the Network preference pane.
