Bookmarks Links Goes to Wrong Direction (Page)

Hi,
I just added bookmarks to pages title. by following right click on title of page Interactive-New Bookmark.
I had totaly 9 pages first and I done about 7 bookmarks for pages. first all of them was fine. but after I have added 4 extra pages after last page, my some of the bookmarks is begining to go last page!
I did delete them and insert aganin, allways goto last page.
Where can I edit that?
thanks.

Which version of InDesign are you using? (On Windows: Help > About InDesign, on Mac OS: InDesign > About InDesign).
I tried to see if I could replicate the issue you are seeing, but the Bookmarks panel definitely points to the correct page numbers, even when I move pages around – this is in InDesign CC 2014.2 Release  /  Build 102..0.69
I'm not entirely sure what's happening but the following might be of help:
When you select an object and right-click Interactive > Bookmark, the bookmark you create references a page, NOT the object you had select as far as I'm aware. In my version of InDesign, if I move the pages around, after creating the bookmark, the bookmark page number reference automatically updates to reflect the new page. You can check that by selecting the bookmark in the Bookmarks panel and waiting for the tool tip to appear (or just hover the cursor over the bookmark you want to check)
If you move the content you had selected when you added the bookmark to another page. For example by selecting a text frame and moving it to another page, the bookmark will still point to the previous page.
Try this as a workaround:
Instead of creating Page bookmarks, create the bookmarks more content aware: Highlight the page title text with the Type Tool and choose New Bookmark from the Bookmarks panel (Window > Interactive > Bookmarks).
If you're still having troubles, see if you can provide us some screenshots of what is going on, hopefully they'll help clarify the issue.

  • Hyper links going to wrong destination - Murray, please help

Please take a look at http://greenpwwhh.com/secrets%20of%20a%20millionaire%20mind.html
The first question is what are these "%20%20of%20a%20"  I never put them there.
The real important question however is what would make the links below go to a mp4 file instead of to the pages with the video?  Thanks as usual for your expertise

Secrets of a millionaire mind 2
Secrets of a millionaire mind 3

Secrets of a millionaire mind 6

okay i'm not murray, but will plow on anyway...
The %20 's are the spaces you have in yoru filenames.  Spaces are bad.  I'd say most often used instead are underscores, like for example: this_is_a_filename.htm but hypens are common as well  Some use CamelCase instead, as in: thisIsAFilename.htm
what would make the links below go to a mp4 file instead of to the pages with the video?
Well, that's becuase your links are actually pointing to the mp4 and flv files, not an htm page:
    <a href="video%20secrets%20of%20a%20millionaire%20mind%204.flv">Secrets of a millionaire mind 4</a>
    <a href="video%20secrets%20of%20a%20millionaire%20mind%205.mp4">Secrets of a millionaire mind 5</a>
See that the hrefs end in .flv and .mp4?
You will need to change those Links - using the Property Inspector if you like - so they are pointing to whatever htm file you intended.

  • Links going to wrong place

I have created a simple photography slideshow website to showcase some of my photography.
Unfortunately I have run into a problem with my link bar at the top of my website, in the mobile and tablet version  this menu bar works fine but in my desktop version the weddings tab takes you to the home screen.
I have exported to html and the weddings.html doesn't exist, which is the problem.
I have tried using a menu bar from the widgets but this hasn't worked either, I have also tried to delete and redo the page but this hasn't worked either.
Any help on this would be much appreciated as I am starting to lose faith in what is otherwise a brilliant product.
A new issue is that the index.html file doesn't have any styling but if you link to the other pages they are fine and if you preview in browser it is also ok.
    the site is a http://seansshots.businesscatalyst.com/index.html
    Thanks,
    Sean

Please make sure index.html (Home page) has a Master page associated to it. There is no weddings.html that physically exists, make sure you don't have the "Export Page" option unchecked in page's context menu in Plan mode. Also, it appears that you're simply using a block of links acting as a menu and hence have incorrectly linked "Weddings" to index.html. You might want to use the Menu widget for the purpose of creating a navigation menu that mirrors the structure of your site in Plan view and automatically assigns and maintains all the page names and links for menus and submenus.
If the above doesn't fully resolve the issue, do an upload of all pages from Publish Options (and not just modified).
    Thanks,
    Vinayak

Please launch the System Preferences application. There should be a preference pane called Network, or maybe Internet. Open that, and look through the settings for the addresses of your DNS servers. Also check to see whether a web proxy is configured. I can't be more specific because I don't remember how those settings were laid out in 10.4.
Also look at your router's settings to see what DNS servers it uses.
This is the best information I've been able to locate on DNS Trojans First Look: Trojan Horse warning: What you need to know. It's very old and has been updated, but it may not apply to later versions.
MacScan has a free DNSChanger Trojan Removal Tool for Mac OS X which hasn't been updated since 2008 and the site may be blocked by the Trojan.

  • XE database home page link goes to APEX home page after 3.2 upgrade

Hi - I had Oracle XE running on Win XP all OK.
Taking the Database home page link took me to http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/f?p=4550: etc etc BUT it took me to the XE login page which we use for system administration - all good so far.
I then upgraded (sucessfully) the installed APEX (V2.1) which comes with XE to the new V3.2 version.
All went well BUT the url above takes me to APEX login page and I can't get to XE adminstration.
Any ideas or clues how I should upgrade to keep both login pages available ?
    Regards Dave Lee

I've been using JavaFX 2.1 since the early betas and I love watching JavaFX improve. Congratulations to the JavaFX team. You've done a great job in getting a solid update out of the door.
Now, for us bleeding edge users ... 2.2b06 is available as an early development build, but the link to download it takes you to a 404 error page.
    Keep up the good work!

  • # in link goes to Portal home page??!!

    Hi,
We have developed a page template with a drop-down menu. In this menu we have a <A> tag that is not supposed to be linked anywhere. We have therefore written a # in the href. ex: <a href="#....."></a>. In Portal this # takes us to the Portal Home page. Is there a way to avoid this?
We need the <A> tag because we use javascript events.
    Regards,
    Anniken & Lene

    Hi
anchors (#) doesn't work because Portal puts a <bas href="path"> in the <head> section and this href is usually .../pls/portal
So when you want to go to your anchor x further down on the page the browser thinks you want to go to .../pls/portal#x an´d that ends you up on the portal home page.
There is a javascript fix for this. Search "HTML Anchor" in this forum (that is the title of the thread).
    Kind regards

  • Creating a PDF from Word, endnote links jump to wrong page

I have a Word file with a large number of endnotes.  In Acrobat 9.5.5 the endnote links jumped to the correct page.  In Acrobat XI, which I just upgraded to, all endnotes jump to the wrong page.  Somehow when converting the Word to PDF the calculation of what page to jump to is calculated incorrectly.  Is this a known problem?  I see other discussions on problems with endnotes but they are for different problems.  How can I resolve this.  I don't want to have to revert to Acrobat 9, but it worked.

Well I tried that.  I set the printer driver to Adobe PDF.  I then selected all text and hit F9 to refresh all links and saved the file and then went to the Acrobat tab to create the PDF version.  Using the application and importing the file to create a PDF causes the same result.  I can now see a pattern of what is happening.  This has a large number of endnotes, 525.  There are probably 30+ endnotes links per page.  I noticed that all the endnotes links for the first page that has the links all point to the second page of endnotes in the endnote section (strange that it starts with the second page and not the first), then all the endnote links of the next page point to the third page of endnotes and it continues that way until the end.
Another way to describe this is that the first page of endnote links should point to endnote pages 1 through 4 but they all point to page 2.
I checked and all the links in the Work doc are linking correctly.
I wonder if version XI has been rewritten since version 9 and my case is too extreme for this version and it chokes.  I'm trying to rebuild part of the file from scratch and see if the problem goes away since there is a lot of history to this file and it started at least at Word 2007.  I'm using Word 2013 now and have converted the format to the 2013 level.
I've sent in a bug report but have not heard anything and talked to customer service over chat but they don't seem to care enough to pass this to development even though it's easily reproducible.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Bookmark link on Dashboard page (11g)

    Experts,
We have Placed the Create Bookmark link below the reports i.e. we did the below
Action link -> Edit Action link - Text as Create Bookmark Link in Link Text -> Action -> Navigate to BI Content (Dashboard page from Shared folder) -> click OK ->
Check enable the Add to Briefing Book -> Click OK.
For the above it will directly open the dashboard page, but we need to create Prompted bookmark link i.e. where we'll give the prompts values and create the prompted bookmark link, it should open the dashboard page with filtered data.
*(We know the option is available in Edit Dashboard - Create Prompted link, this option should come below the report)*
    Thanks,
    Balaa...

    Kavitha,
Add a Action link -> Edit Action link - give text like Create Bookmark Link in Link Text -> Action
Select the Dashboard page from Shared folder -> click OK -> Check enable the Add to Briefing Book -> Click OK.
    Thanks,

  • Why does Firefox always block any link I try to open going to a web page when I don't have pop up blocker on?

Why does Firefox always block any link I try to open going to a web page when I don't have pop up blocker on? First off they are not even pop ups....your crap blocks everything and don't save user names &/or passwords when you have it checked. Also in your tutorials about solving this issue says it has the word "OPTION" .......no, it never says option to allow you to bypass it and etc. Only thing is says is "ALLOW" . That would be nice , but the problem is it will not allow it from then on. It only allows it right then and then you have to refresh...after that to open again it blocks it again.....HOW STUPID?!!!!!
It always say that this is preventing this page from automatically redirecting to another page. THIS IS WHAT I AM TRYING TO DO...GO TO ANOTHER PAGE........I DON'T NEED YOUr BROWSERS PERMISSION TO DO THAT. THAT IS WHAT A *%#$&*(&*%$$%% BROWSER IS FOR TO GO TO OTHER PAGES......THEY ARE NOT POP UPS!!!!!
YOU STUPID BROWSER ACTUALLY BLOCKS EVERYTHING AND THAT SUX!!!
    HELP!!

Since no window shows up asking where to download, etc as happens in other browsers (Opera) and in previous versions of Firefox, no able to click on a web site link to download a PDF file. Just goes to a blank page.

I use Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010, when clicking a link in Outlook I always get a box stating
General Failure. The URL was "http:// etc etc".The system cannot find the file specified.
Yet it still goes to the specified page. Any ideas on how to resolve this

I am having the exact same problem with Windows 7 Professional. Out of the blue, this issue just started a few months ago when running my monthly Windows Backup where I have used a USB drive for the last 3 years, and never ever had this issue before. Most
of the solutions listed on the Microsoft websites and answers deal with
    "Restore" functions, not the
"Backup" itself. I have 3 folders being skipped during the backup.
So I went and changed the Backup from "let Microsoft choose files, directories, etc" to "Let me choose". I included the files and folders that were being skipped, and ran the "Backup" again, and got the same error message,
but the files that were skipped the first time were "Backed up" finally. This issue is somehow related to my "Libraries"?
    The 3 backup problems are:
Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\My Audio Books\Audio Book Recordings. Error:(The system cannot find the path specified. (0x80070003))
Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\My Audio Books\Audio Book CD Label-Cover Art. Error:(The system cannot find the path specified. (0x80070003))
Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\My Audio Books\Audio Book MP3 Tag Art. Error:(The system cannot find the path specified. (0x80070003))
Did a "checkdisk" - no problems. Ran a program to fix registry - no problems. All updates up to date. I guess I could eliminate these folders from the Backup folders in the
Library, and just choose them under the "Users" locations, and be done with it. But I really want to understand this, and fix it. This is within Windows 7 and may be related to Windows Media Player or
    some recent Windows update.  Thanks.
