Bookmarks toolbar - site icons have appeared in FF4 - how to remove the icons?

I can find the option to disable all toolbar icons BUT specifically website icons have appeared in V4 in the bookmarks toolbar.
This is annoying as the icons take up so much space - I can only fit half as many toolbar bookmarks.
How can I disable the bookmarks toolbar website icons?

Hi Malkit,
You can check Icon in Thing Type like COD_Account__TT screen.
Once you are in TT screen just go to "Controller" and select "Thing Type Data" from left side pan.
But how to remove it I don't have any idea.

Hello, I am using an iphone 4s and when I tap on the Safari icon, the screen shows sites I have visited, how to I delete these icons. I have tried soft close - top button and home button together, in settings>safari tapped on Clear Cookies and Data - to no avail. Settings>safari>advanced and under website data I was able to delete each one, but the icon continues to appear on the screen when I tapped on the Safari app. I was also unable to type into the search box, the app closed. Hope someone out there can help.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my query. When I tap the bookmark at the bottom of the screen, it opens a screen with Allowed Sites and History when I tap either of them there is no option to delete, also there is no Favourites to tap after tapping the bookmark icon. Hi! I was the unlucky recipient of the Troj/JSDldr-V "iTunes" trojan (turns itunes German, for starters). It arrived via a FedEx email that was in my Spam folder and somehow unleashed when I moved Spam to trash. (I saw a fake itunes update, clicked the red circle to close which might have been the trigger). Anyhoo, I am perplexed as to how to remove. My Sophos found it and isolated it afterwards, but has been unable to remove it as iTunes is already compromised - and everything being in German or faux German, I'm not about to enter any info as it cleverly prompts for admin user name and password. Sneaky buggers! I have perused forums and found it is likely spyware, but have been unsuccessful at finding how to remove for Mac (Sophos found threat, can't remove it). Running a 2011 late model Macbook Pro, 10.9.5. Any support would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm broke (as in homeless broke) and even if I had money, the nearest Apple store is a five hour drive away - a tad inconvenient and inaccessible. :-( Karma points for helping, though! And I always pay it forward!

You can disable/hide this icon from Menu Bar View> Picker's Display> Translational Fields Untick this option.
Also check this View> Indicators's Display> Translational Fields Deactivate this option.
Infact you can hide CFls, FMS Glass also from this Path.......

If you remove the names then you may have a problem with organizing or searching for bookmarks.<br />
If you do not want to use the extension then you can achieve the same effect with code in userChrome.css<br />
That is what I would do.
Add code to userChrome.css below the @namespace line.

After a recent Windows Update my Bookmarks Toolbar no longer automatically appears when I open a new window. How do I reset this?

Windows automatically updated my computer a few days ago and now when I open a Firefox window my Bookmarks Toolbar does not automatically appear at the top of the window. I can get it to appear there manually but I have to do it each time I open a window. Is there a way to reset it so that my Bookmarks Toolbar appears automatically at the top of the window every time I open a new window?

Is there a userchrome code to remove the icon of the folder (left) and the sideways triangle (right) on a bookmark folder? Not the Toolbar

I try to customize my firefox as much as possible and with that being said I am stuck trying to figure out if there is a way to take a new folder in the bookmark menu and take off the icon of the folder to the left of the folder and then on the right there is a little sideways triangle that basically opens up to another folder or link within.
Curious if I can take that out as I already know there is folders/links in there it would just look better.
If there is a way to take out the sideways triangle will it still work the same way just without the arrow? I have subfolders in there just do not see the point in having a triangle there to tell me.

Not the toolbar, When you go to file, edit, view, history, bookmarks then drop that down all your folders are within that. Trying to remove the icon and right sideways arrow when you make new folders. The icon on left of a pic of a folder and then to the right the >.

Firefox doesn't store the bookmarks as separate files in a folder, but uses a sqlite database file with the name places.sqlite.
You will have to export those favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in Firefox.
Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML : "From File"

Firefox 4 places logo's before the titles in my bookmarks toolbar. I filled the toolbar with very small, abbreviated titles like grewhe, bank, bbclive, ns, hh, hhraw etc.
Have no need for logo's, on the contrary, they cause trouble because they use space.
How to remove the logo's.
