BootCamp 4.0 Doesn't work with anything other than windows 7!?

This can't be right, so you're telling me I now can't install an OS like ubuntu or even Windows XP?!! If so apple will be losing a customer very soon.

That is quite right, Apple's bootcamp only supports Windows 7. It no longer supports XP or Vista. VMWare does support XP and even Ubuntu I think.

if you look at the Desktop Software page on the blackberry.com website, there is a section called "requirements" and in that section you have a paragraph with the list of PC software against which you can do a synchronization.
apart from PC software, you can also synchronize with GMail Contacts, Google Calendar, Yahoo!Mail and probably some other like facebook contacts, facebook events.
The search box on top-right of this page is your true friend, and the public Knowledge Base too:

APEX 4.2.2 - ORA-6502 when logging in to application with anything other than Firefox!

If I try to log into my application through anything other than Firefox I get the following message on the screen:
Error
Error processing request.
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error
OK
If I try to access the APEX Builder through a browser other than Firefox, I get no HTML returned.
Last night I upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2.2 and ran the patch that dealt with missing developer toolbars...
Of course, I only ever use Firefox, but my users are using IE...
Any ideas?

EMET doesn't work with common software in Windows 7

I installed EMET 5.0, and began to have problems with EMET shutting down Acrobat Reader, Flash, Java, Internet Explorer, and browser linkage to .PDF files. Also, I could not load a .PDF file directly either. (No way to view the PDF docs
for EMET!)
Error messages included "simexecflow", EAF mitigation and need to turn off "Deep Hooks", and others.
I installed EMET about a month ago, didn't notice immediate problems, but a large set of Windows updates happened soon afterward (installed 11/8/14). Soon after this I first noticed the problems. I can't say for sure they weren't there before,
since the time between was short.
I (I think) managed to stop the Java and Flash problems with settings, but could not get others fixed. I finally had to uninstall EMET to fix ALL the problems !
We also have a Vista and an 8.1 machine, no problems with EMET (so far!).
I know that EMET may have problems with some applications, but it seems to me that there should NEVER be problems with these very common and essential applications.
Please either fix the problems with EMET, or tell me specifically what's needed to make these apps work with Windows 7 and EMET.
This machine has been thoroughly checked for all manner of malware, including rootkits. All clear.

Microsoft released EMET 5.1 on November 10th which fixes compatibility issues with those programs under EMET 5. Here's the information on the fixes:

Does Video Effects work with cameras other than iSight or Built-in cameras?

I am using Leopard with iChat 4.0. I recently purchased a Logitech QuickCam Deluxe for Notebooks. It works great with Photobooth, however I cannot get Video Effects to work with iChat. Is there a solution for this?

There's the answer. iChat video effects require an Intel processor or a multiprocessor PowerPC computer. Your only solution to get Video Effects to work with your iChat is to trade computers.

Can you load songs with anything other than iTunes?

I'm trying to re-install itunes after my PC collapse, but I can't and I really want to upload new music to my ipod, but I can't, can I use any other software other than iTunes? Cuz seriously, I don't know what's the problem with iTunes, but I can't install it.

There is a lot of software for iPods that allow you to transfer music and more.
There are things like anapod (http://www.redchairsoftware.com/anapod/featpw.php), ephpod (http://www.ephpod.com/), podplus(http://www.ipodsoft.com/index.php?/software/podplus),and even a winamp extension (http://www.mlipod.com/).
They aren't hard to find, just search.

well, it also will not upload anything from Pages etc to iCloud in Mavericks either! if true, this is worse than the 8.0.1, bending, and every other debacle Apple has had in the last couple of weeks. why bother with iCloud if you can't use it? Microsoft used to force you to buy new programs, OS's etc every time they did an upgrade...

CSV link doesn't work with popup created using window.showModalDialog

From a data maintenance page, I allow users to view an audit trail of changes in a window which pops up using the window.showModalDialog method.
In the popup page I have a download to CSV file link. When the link is clicked nothing happens.
If I change the method to window.open the CSV link works fine.
Any ideas?

I selected Convert RoboHelp Edited topics to HTML in both projects and recompiled them.
I tested with Firefox 3.6 and 5.0.1 with the same maddening result: None of the linked topics popped up. Text pop-ups and See Also links continue to work. Everything works in Internet Explorer.
The errors continue to be the same ones: "Permission dennied to access property 'whname'" and "Permission denied to access property 'document'".
My next step is to test it from a server, but that, of course, requires others to assist.
Have you heard of such a problem before? Do you have any other suggestions?

BBLink doesn't work with my new Laptop Windows 8

I have a new laptop running Windows 8.1 and installed BBLink. However, it is not syncing with my Q10 device.
I removed the device from BBLink on my old laptop, but it is still not working. Getting an error that says "MAPI login failed. Run outlook with the profile 'outlook' and try again. My profile is 'outlook' though, so I'm not sure why I am getting this error. I also tried resetting my Q10 to factory settings and starting again with BBLink, but am getting the same error.
Has anyone encountered this problem? Do you have any suggestions for how I can get my contacts and calendar synced?

Look for your exact version to see if it is compatible, if not compatible you will have to remove it to resolve your issue.
You have Windows Defender which is a VIRUS PROGRAM installed in your computer and should be disabled when using Norton, check that !
If you remove Norton you can enable Windows Defender but you must UPDATE it !

My ctrl button doesn't work with many other keys

Hello: I am unable to use the ctrl+t (open new tab), ctrl+c or ctrl+v (copy/paste) among other ctrl commands while using firefox. I know that the ctrl key itself is not broken as I am able to use the ctrl+backspace and ctrl+forward (return to last page viewed) functions.
Many of the help sites I've seen focus on uninstalling the ask.com toolbar. I uninstalled ask.com toolbar once, and the ctrl key started working again. The problem came back within a week, however, and ask.com is not a factor anymore as it has already been uninstalled. What else can I do to fix this problem? Any advice would be appreciated.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Can I sync calendar with anything other than Outlook?

I have a PC running Windows XP, and Microsoft Office 2000, with no desire to upgrade since I infrequently use it. But as I understand it, iPhone does not sync with Office 2000. So I can't sync my calendar with Outlook on my computer. Is there anything else (an app?) that I can use. I have heard about Google calendar, but I understand that syncing there would erase what is currently in my iPhone calendar, which I don't want to do.

Importing DVD Movies into iMovie with anything OTHER than a camcorder

I tried to look around the discussion board for my questions but 643 pages is a lot. This question has probably been asked 8,000,000 times but I will be 8,000,001.
I recorded some video footage on to a DVD-R disc. I tried to insert this disc into my Mac Mini and I cannot import the video footage into iMovie. I called Apple Support and they told me that once its in a format where other DVD devices can read it, I cannot import it into any Apple Software.
My question is, how can I use my DVD footage in iMovie? Is there additional software that I need to buy? (SUCH AS:)
* DVDxDV (free trial, 25$, Pro: 90$)
* Apple mpeg2 plugin (20$) + Streamclip (free)
* Cinematize >60$
* Mpeg2Works >25$ + Apple plug-in
* Toast6/7 allows converting to dv/insert dvd, hit apple-k
* connect a miniDV Camcorder with analogue input to a DVD-player and transfer disk to tape/use as converter
I have no idea what these programs do and I would appreciate it if someone can direct me to the correct one if one of these can help.
Can I convert this footage into some sort of file (Quicktime or something) that will be accepted in iMovie?

Does iCloud calendar synch with anything other than MS Outlook?

I am a mixed user (Apple and PC) but do not have MS Outlook available. Is there another calendar available on a PC to connect to iCloud?

tried both, downloaded the trial. When I input those accounts in EM Client, it says syncing contacts, then nothing shows up, just says no contacts. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if my icloud is not setup properly.
I will try again tomorrow. I've been at this for a while now and my head hurts!

I switched because honestly sprint sucked. I was debating another android but figured I've heard great things about the iphone so I would try it out. I love the phone, but this integration/backup is no where near as simple as my android was to sync with google.

Okay, here's an update: the DVI to ADC adapter does work with the Apple displays that I have tried, but it won't work with the Formac. I have tried multiple time to contact them, but to no avail... they don't even respond to threats of posting my opinion of them, which is this:
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM FORMAC! They make quality products, but their customer service is a big time joke! They won't take care of you.
