  • After overlaying Air SDK 3.6, iOS projects show a blank screen after startup.

    Hi,
I recently overlaid Air 3.6 in Flash Builder 4.7.  My projects are using stage3D via Starling.  Using the 3.4 SDK that comes installed with FB 4.7, my projects compiled and run fine with both debug and release builds.  After overlaying the 3.6 SDK, the projects work fine in the simulator and on Android but when I run the projects on iOS I get a blank screen.  I reverted to the 3.4 SDK and my projects work fine on iOS.  But, I'd like to be able to have access to the features of 3.6, any and all suggestions would be very much appreciated.
    Thank you for you time.
    Chris

Did you follow these exact directions?
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/overlay-air-sdk-flash-builder.html
(They changed recently and are updated for Flash Builder 4.7)
For step 4, all you have to do is create the blank strip folder - don't need to copy the other files with 4.7 and AIR SDK 3.6.

  • Blank Screens After Startup and Wake From Sleep

About half the time I startup my Mac Pro or wake it up from sleep, the screen will go blank, usually about 20-30 seconds after video appears on the screen. The system seems to be running, you just can't see anything.
I have had the screen go completely white, black or blue and occasionally, there will be a solid color with vertical lines throughout the screen. The only thing that will get display back is a forced restart of the entire computer.
I've zapped PRAM and run run hardware test with no issues reported but the problem keeps coming back.
I'm driving a Dell 2407 on my ATI 1900XT. Dell supplied a single-link DVI cable, could that cause issues with a dual-link port on the video card?
Mac Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   ATI 1900XT, 2GB RAM

Intel Macs, especially MacBook Pros seem to be notorious for sleep issues...either not sleeping when supposed to, or not waking up from sleep properly.
My MacBook Pro has come out of the brief case hot as heck with a dead battery often enough, even with all the updates appled. If you listen to the MacBreak Weekly podcast, that's a common complaint of Merlin Mann, who can't figure it out with his machine, and he's no dummy when it comes to Macs. Not very encouraging, is it?
Still, what I would try is reinstalling the OS X 10.4.9 update. I've often read/heard on podcasts that it's better to manually install the larger Combo version of the updates. That seems to have fixed problems for me in the past.
Get the Intel 10.4.9 Combo Update here: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx1049comboupdateintel.html
    Good luck.

  • G4 titanium blank screen after startup - gig htz

Screen is very dim but comes on for split second if I restart or if I change monitor settings.

Hi, baziliver. Your PB's inverter board, which provides power to the backlight, may be failing.
Disconnect all peripherals from the computer, make sure the F1 key isn't stuck in the depressed position, and verify that adjusting the brightness upward using the F2 key has no effect on the problem. Restart the computer to see whether the problem still occurs after rebooting. If it does, you'll need to make sure the inverter and video cable connections inside the computer are secure. If disconnecting and firmly reconnecting those doesn't do the trick, replacing the inverter is the next step.

  • Blank screen after startup. bios corrupted

    Hello,
I could really use some help I have a massive project due in a week and cannot access MATLAB anywhere but my laptop. Today windows decided to do its own thing like always and update itself which never seems to work right. But when restarting HP's terrible software also decided to attempt to update my bios. Like usual it failed and proceeded to corrupt my bios for the second time. Unfortunately this time I am out of warranty so they will no longer assist me even though this has been a recurring problem. Could anyone help me figure out how to get this working again? I have been searching Google, but nothing has worked for me I have an ho envy 15" which I believe model jt-1500. I really don't have anymore time to spend on scouring the internet with work and school and really need my laptop to just work again. I can also tell you I'll never buy an HP laptop again unless they can get their software figured out because I am afraid to ever update anything on my computer now.
Thanks for the help in advance

    Hi,
As I dont have the computer infront of my I am limited in things I can do to fix the problem please try the following two things below to see if they fix your problem if they dont your only option will be take your laptop in for repair howerver you dont have to take to HP you can take it anywhere.
First thing I would like you to try is a power drain to do this remove the AC adapter from your pc and remove the battery, once you have done this press and hold the power button for 20 seconds once this is complete reinsert battery and AC adapter and try the computer again.
The next thing you could attempt is updating the bios this hopefully will install successfully this time, to do this press and hold down the windows key and the letter b on the keyboard then power on the computer still holding down the two keys it will attempt to update the bios.
    Hope this helps,
    James

hello. my phone screen goes blank and after a minute or so goes back to home screen. why? any help please?

    Howdy mbaeguasu,
It sounds like your iPhone may be restarting unexpectedly while you’re using it. Take a look at the article linked below and, if you haven't already, try installing the latest version of iOS on your device.

  • Blank  screen after signing in

I'm stuck in a blank screen after signing in.  The options to sign in or sleep function, but nothing else. And when I sign in the screen is blank.

  • Long blank screen on startup

I have a 2012 Mac Mini i7 with 10.9.2.  This morning when I rebooted, it did not work right and I just saw static on my monitor.  I manually turned off the Mac Mini then restarted it.  It boots fine now but now I have a long blank screen after the chime and before it asks for my password.  I reset my SMC and PRAM a few times but no change.  I reselected my Macintosh HD in the Startup disk too.  It is like it is timing out looking for something and then after about two minutes it goes to my Macintosh HD for the password.  So it boots up fine now except for this new long pause.  Before it would go to the password almost immediately after the chime.
Any other thoughts on what I should do?  Thanks.
    Doug

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Select the messages logged after the boot, during the time something abnormal was happening. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
For example, if the problem is a slow startup taking three minutes, post the messages timestamped within three minutes  after the boot time, not before. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the beginning of the log extract.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post any other kind of diagnostic report, such as hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    Release the power button.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    PRAM RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.

  • Blank Screen after Hibernate

    Hi,
On my DV6-3085 I sometimes power up by opening the lid and get a blank screen after a few seconds.
The screen will say Starting Windows, flash and then go blank. At this point the finger print scanner is still working and responds but you cannot obliviously see anything.
I fairly suspicious this happens after the laptop has not been used for a little while (overnight) after a lid close, so the Sleep light has stopped flashing and the laptop is in hibernate mode.
My guess is it is something to do with switching graphics adapters. I've not yet decided if plugging the power in first does or does not make a difference or being on battery or AC when the lid was closed.
I've got the latest drivers according to the HP driver update utility.
Anyone with the same problem or have a solutions?
    Thanks,
    Dean.

I'm not 100% sure of the model though (appologies). What do i need to do??
