Bottom center part of screen boundary gets warm

Hi,
The bottom center part of the screen boundary of Lenovo 3000 N100 gets warm, both front (screen) and backside (cover). I noticed that backside of that area has a crack.
What is the solution, do I need to change the screen or cover or just need to close the crack with tape.

The heat is from the lcd inverter.
This is a component that converts dc voltage to ac voltage
to power the lamp in the display.
Some heat is normal.
If it gets Very warm, it may be failing.
If it fails, the screen will most likely go dark.
Fairly easy and low cost replacement, in most areas.
Due to the age of the laptop, I would just wait and see.

I can still receive calls etc and can see a 'backlight' come on behind the black screen when buttons are pressed, but I can not see anything on the screen. I have tried restoring the phone from recovery mode in iTunes but this does not fix the problem. If it were the screen that needs replacing then would the phone get warm?

Look in the dock and see if you can see any scaly blue-ish stuff. Look in the headphone jack under bright light - can you see anything pink?
Take it to an Apple store. They can help you with a repair. If you take it anywhere else, Apple will not repair your phone if anything goes wrong.

Bottom-left part of screen loose, also no longer connects to Wi-Fi

First, the whole bottom-left of the screen of my brand-new 32gb iPod Touch is loose, and can easily be pushed in. There is also a bleeding effect of light from behind the screen. Will this be a problem? I've only had it since Christmas, so would I be able to get it replaced(for the money spent on this, there shouldn't be any problems like this)? I can't bring it to any apple store either, as there are none for thousands of kilometers.
Also, yesterday I connected my iPod to the computer to charge it, and now it no longer connects to my network. What gives?
So far, I've had more headaches than enjoyment from this...

Why have i got a solid red circle on the phone icon at the bottom of my home screen

I have a solid red circle on the phone icon at the bottom of my home screen.I Get a notification message come up on my home screen telling me that i have a new voicemail mesage.
When i dial into voicemail it tells me there are no messages.I Have rang my network provider(3) they did a restore on my phone using itunes on my computer(remotely)but the circle is still there.I took it to my local Apple store(Milton Keynes) when he took the sim card out with the phone still switched on it dissapeared.But when he reinserted the sim it came back. Just wondered if any one else has had this problem.Could it be the sim card?

Phoned up 3 they still had my problem on file.told me to go to my local 3 store and ask for a replacement sim.Got the sim the assistant inserted it hay presto no red dot,just waiting for the new sim to be activated.

Such symptoms bode serious hardware issues and you shouldn't think about fixing it yourself when you are still in waranty. Get to an Apple Store, like the other poster suggests.

After what seems to be a normal upgrade to the new Lion OS. My computer counted down to restart and left a white screen with only a file folder in the center of the screen with a ? in it. How do I get my screen back to normal? Jim L.

After what seems to be a normal upgrade to the new Mountain Lion OS X on my early 2008, 24" iMac. My iMac counted down to restart but did not turn all the way off. At the end of the count down the screen went white with a small file folder flashing on and off in the center of the screen. Also there is a ?, question mark in the miaale of the file folder. The screen responds to no keyboard or mouse commands. Request help.

My computer was doing the same as yours hinikuru but now there is a change. I turned my iMac off by the button on the back and left it off for about an hour. When I just turned it on the center Apple logo was back and soon the loading logo for the new Mountain Lion program came up. On the bottom of the logo there is a horizontal sliding bar that says the program will take 34 minutes to load. Time will tell. I have two iMacs and if this goes we'll I will install the new Mountain Lion tomorrow. Hinikuru, I was about to follow the information in one of the side bar blocks titled "More like this" on the right side of this screen when my iMac seemed to fix itself! Good luck. I think not all is lost.

How do I get alerts to remain in the center of the screen after unlocking my iPhone in iOS 7?

The whole point of alerts, according to Apple, is to let you know about important events by remaining in the center of the screen until you acknowledge them. So why, when my iPhone 4s is locked and I receive an alert, does absolutely nothing appear when I unlock my phone? I use OmniFocus2 for everything, but the app isn't useful to me without forcing me to acknowledge the alerts I've set up for my to-do's. I've messed with all the notification options (like removing from lock screen), but I simply cannot believe that the only way Apple would allow their alerts to work properly is by forcing me to keep my phone from auto-locking indefinitely.
Can anyone help?

I just came from using a BlackBerry Z10 and just got a iphone 5S. I have to say that this is the most ridiculous issue i am having to deal with as well. I use a password for my lock screen and if im not constantly on my phone i will miss a text msg. theres nothing from the lock screen to show you of a missed text or etc and also i dont care that i can look at notifications pull down. that is useless for the common person who doesn't live on the phone. There's no led to help this issue another major negative for me and this issue as well. So pretty much if i dont check my phone periodically i will miss something for sure. Cant believe this phone is considered the flagship of phones, there are SIMPLE issues with iphones that many other company's have fixed YEARS ago. Seriously would a LED light really hurt that bad to put on?! Get a clue apple!

I've dropped my phone quite often, and the back of the phone is cracked, but I haven't bothered to fix it. I dropped my phone again today, and a tiny bit chipped off near the top edge of my phone. Later when i got home, I couldn't unlock my phone except when I slid my finger across the very top of the arrow and it JUST opened. but I can't use the bottom now, so on the keyboard, I can't type with the space bar and anything else at the very bottom of the touch screen.

At Apple Store for $149 you can get a replacement iPhone 4 which will be just like New. Everything will work perfect and the there will be no chips or cracks. New battery and buttons too. Make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple.

Can't get rid of Perian software update window in the center of my screen.

When I woke up my computer this morning, there was a Perian software update window right in the center of my screen. I cannot get rid of it and don't want to install it. No matter what I push...it won't budge. My choices are Skip this version, remind me later or install update...as I said I don't want to install it...how do I get rid of it ?

If that doesn't get rid of it, hold the power button down until the MacBook shuts down. Then start up again.

Then proceed to repair your QuickTime on Control Panel>Add n Remove Programs >highlight QuickTime, click CHANGE button, then REPAIR.

Try to reset the device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
