Use iTunes menu File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from ....
to transfer your purchased ringtone to computer iTunes.

Drap and drop the tones from iTunes onto the phone. Select the contact you wish you add the tone to. Click edit and select ringtone.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Iphoto diet & iphoto 6 error!! would appreciate any help/feedback

I recently installed iPhoto 6.0.6. and since then, when I run iPhoto Diet (3.1) an apple script error message comes up.
It says: File alias Macintosh HD:Users:michellechin:Pictures:iPhoto Library:Modified: wasn't found. (-43)
HELP! what does this mean? and how can I make iPhoto Diet run properly again?
Would appreciate any help very very very much.

It means that the application cannot find the Modified folder, which should be in your iPhoto Library Folder (inside your Pictures Folder).
Have you contacted the developers of iPhoto Diet?

I am having a problem with adding selected numbers in a column. When I select "sum" the whole column is added, not just the selected cells. I would appreciate any help how to rectify? Many thanks. Francis Anthony

I don't know if this is the best way but it's pretty easy.
1.) Select the cell you want the sum in.
2.) Select the sum function
3.) In the line where you see =sum(B2:B8) using your finger tap the B2:B8
4.) Use the backspace key to delete the B2:B8 and it will then show "value"
5.) You can now tap any cell you want in the sum
6.) When finished tap the green check mark button at the end of the sum line.
That pretty much sums it up.

Shut down Safari by going to the Home screen, double-click the Home button, touch and hold the Safari icon at the bottom of the screen and touch the red "-" sign that appears. Go to Settings->Safari and clear Cookies and Data.
Restart Safari.

I have a huge mess I would appreciate any help possible with Itunes!

I've had Itunes forever now and it's been fine. With this last upgrade, it's created some problems. Half of my new playlists created have disappeared. The music is still there in the library, just the playlists are gone which was enough to fill a 60 gb ipod. Itunes now reads at the bottom I have 1022 GB of music - my hard drive is 250gb so that's obviously incorrect. My iphone will not recognize my calendar or my contacts in Office 2003 with all updates - so basically it's hosed. Someone had given me a link to uninstall it which I did. I restarted. Then I uninstalled apple mobile something or other and restarted. Then I deleted the itunes folder from program files emptied recycle bin and then restarted. I then proceeded to re-download and install itunes. I went through the hour process of uninstall and restart then install. I get everything finished and open itunes expecting to see a fresh clean slate and it's exactly the same. Hello- Well, the phone is new so I have an awful lot to learn about it. I know my phone works or goes through Google (Gmail)???? which I have always had a Gmail email. I wanted to sync my PC to my new phone. I downloaded Firefox Sync to my PC. It asked for my email and to create a password, which I did. And that was all I did. I glanced at my phone minutes later and realized that new emails weren't appearing anymore after downloading Sync to my PC. Yet, on my PC, new emails were appearing in my Gmail account. Also, right away I noticed a problem with my network on my phone.
I don't know if I should have downloaded FireFox to my cell phone first before syncing.
When I downloaded Sync to my PC and it asked me for my email address and to create a password, I created a NEW password (which then changed my Gmail password), which my cell phone does not know this new password.
Anyway, today I 'Deactivated' my Sync, I think. Lol. But still have all the same phone issues. I'm guessing now that the problem may be because I changed passwords when I created the Sync?

When updating to IOS5 restore did not complete and now it is asking for a password to carry on restoring back up and I can't remember password! Would appreciate any help?

Whilst updating to IOS5 on my iphone 4 it was interrupted whilst restoring the contents of my iphone!!! Now when I try and restore it asks for a password to unlock my iphone backups - I have tried several but it states password is incorrect and accordingly I cannot restore backups and have lost loads of important information!!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. Some glitch occured and you have to restore/erse the iPod. Y will have to restore from an existing backup if y ohave one.

I am using opensuse 11.3, I download and execute firefox from sh file. But it cannot find libflashplayer.so. All my other browsers have flash player (usr/lib/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so). But firefox cannot see that file. What must I do?

You have the latest version of iTunes on your computer (on a PC 'Help > Check For Updates' ; on a Mac 'iTunes > Check For Updates') ? You could also try ejecting the iPad and rebooting your PC and the iPad : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If you still get the same error then check whether it has actually deleted the backup (if you have other devices that you backup to that computer then they will also have backups) - they are stored under :
Mac:~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, and choose Run. Type %appdata% and click OK.

Maverick has messed up my computer. Slow scrolling in I photo. Bookmark icons are blue all the time and not marked with the company symbols. I cannot find out how to solve this.

I switched to Mavericks two weeks ago and have had nothing but troubles. Scrolling in I photo is slow and very inaccurate. When I click and drag a photo the ones above it all flicker, making it hard to find where to put it. My bookmarks bar Icons are all blue. Before they used to show the symbol for the company they represented. Now I click on one, it changes to what I want, then a few minutes of hour later, it goes back to the blue ball, which I hate. My font size is different with every page and I have to click Zoom in all the time. I tried adjusting it in Preferences in Advance settings on the right, but this does not solve the problem permanetly. I have one web page, a hockey one, which tries to load, then I get either a black page or a white one. Driving me nuts. I need some help. Been to Apple at the store, talked to them on the phone for four hours last week. Rebuilt the I photo library with no luck. Would appreciate any help. Please Thanks. I even keep a fan behind my computer to keep it cool, that is how much I look after this baby. Some say it might be Safari? Not sure. I have little computer experience, so please it you are kind enough to reply, do not use tech talk or short forms as I will not understand any of it.

I have a few of your issues as well: 1) Safari popular icons are all bue making them very hard to distinguish from each other. 2) My font size is also different with each page / window. What I have been able to find out is that in the Maverick OS - Apple removed one size of display resolution 2048 x 1152. Whether this is the cause of my 27" screen clarity & font size issues, I do not know - but it seems like a contributing factor. Maybe help is on the way - maybe not. Cheers
