Bounding box bug CS6 (Creative Cloud)

Anyone else have the bounding box occassionally stick to an object? I can select other objects but the bounding box will extend across the artboard from the new object and group the older object with it. I can't click off of the object either. I think it's mainly a text box problem, I can't recall having this problem with shapes or path drawn objects. I just fixed it by isolating it then immediately jumping out of that isolation, it was suddenly unselected. Anyway, just checking in with other users, wanted to catalog this at least.
EDIT: Just had this happen with a photo in illustrator, as well as a circle I just clicked off from creating. The only hinderance it brings is that scaling, rotating, etc. is directly correlated to both selected objects rather than the one I intend to scale or rotate, etc.

I've seen this happen on and off since the original CS. On both Mac and Windows systems across several OS versions. Sad to hear it's still with us in CC. I've seen it blamed on all sorts of things; text objects, clipping masks, imbedded / non-imbedded objects, a particular OS, etc. None of which have ever held true in all cases.
Anyway, one way that (sometimes) solves it is to;
Create another object, even a small square.
Align the new object with the 'stuck' one - use any alignment at all. If another object moves, you can immediately undo.
In any case, once you deselect and delete your dummy object after the align (or align and undo), four times out of five the stuck bounding box is gone (for a while, anyway).
good luck.

In this log file I can see you are getting Error : U44M1P7 while updating the software
This Error comes where language packs for software are not installed properly on the machine.
I would suggest to update Adobe Application manager from
    Windows : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
    MAC: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
then try to install the update if still you are not able to update software and getting same error then uninstall all the Adobe software selecting remove prefernces.
After uninstalling the software run the Adobe Cleaner tool(http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and remove the leftovers.

  • Migrating settings, actions, plug-ins etc. from CS5 to CS6 (Creative Cloud)

    Hi,
I wondered if someone could help me with the transition from CS5 to CS6 (Creative Cloud). I'm on a Mac with Mountain Lion.
I would like to migrate as many settings (i.e. workspaces where relevant), personal Photoshop actions, plug-ins (i.e. Type DNA, FontShop [Photoshop], Scriptographer [Illustrator] and Blurb Template Creator [InDesign]) as possible from CS5 to CS6. What is the easiest and smoothest way to do this?
Some settings, actions and plug-ins might not work with CS6, I don't know. I can't find where my Photoshop actions are archived atm.
Can I import extensions from Adobe Extension Manager CS5 to Adobe Extension Manager CS6?
Should I uninstall all CS5 apps? I'd like to keep InDesign CS5 for backwards compatibility at least.
Does Audition completely replace Soundbooth? What about Flash Catalyst, Device Central and OnLocation?
Edit: I have already installed all the Creative Cloud applications btw. But I haven't uninstalled any CS5 apps yet.
    Thanks,
    Eivind

    Hi Elvind,
I would suggest keeping both CS5 and CS6 versions on the system until you are fully transitioned, longer if you want. When you launch Photoshop CS6 it will ask you if you want to import settings from the prior version. Third party plug-ins may or may not be compatible between versions so you might need to check with the manufacturer to find out. You would most likely need to reinstall any third party plug-ins that integrate into existing Adobe product installations though.
I found this document for Photoshop CS6
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/preset-migration-photoshop-cs6.htm l
For the PS actions, I normally open the actions panel, highlight the actions set (folder) I wanted to migrate, from the flyout menu of the panel choose the option to save the set, this creates the .atm file. There is another option for importing actions in the same menu.
I can't speak to migrating in relation to the other products. I would recommend posting in the respective product forums.

  • Problem updating CS6 Creative Cloud apps

Is there a central location to go to update CS6 Creative Cloud applications?

All updates are handled through the application manager and if that is not centralized enough, then I'm not sure what you are asking.

  • Trial period has expired for legit CS6 Creative Cloud subscription??

Last night Adobe Application Manager upgraded itself.  All well and good.  It showed correctly what CS6 apps I had downloaded and installed previously.
I am a CS6 Creative Cloud subscriber with nine months to go.
Subsequently when I tried to start Dreamweaver or for that matter any other creative CS6 application, like Photoshop - I get the following error:
    Your trial period has expired!
I have been using all installed Creative Cloude appd for the last 3-4 months with no problems!  Why this now??
    StellaC

The creative cloud subscription is fine but the whole 'license expired' license this software, you have 5 days left of your trial or 'please enter your serial number' (what serial number for the cloud ??) that seems to pop up at alarming rate on both of my machines.
As soon as I re-log on with my adobe id (which never seems to be logged in however many times I log in and say 'remember') it then 'activates' my subscription .. but never remembers by the afternoon!
The whole thing is just not very slick. It is not very impressive that every two or three days I have to keep re-activating etc the subscription to the cloud, sometimes it takes quite a few run arounds with the logon before it finally says ... 'yes, you are activated / subscribed etc or whatever'.
Surely with creative cloud, perhaps the applications could be re-written to realize that there is a creative cloud and that the person using the app is not requiring to buy the product or stop using the trial etc. I wonder is this happening all the time for all the users of the cloud ??
I can understand the cloud / Adobe need to check that the person is running a legit version but it is not going to leave a good impression with all the users if dialogs pop up all the time with odd messages saying about trial versions or 4 days left of your trial.
Just a simple dialog ... if a cloud member, 'please connect to the web to check activation etc'... and then allow the user to continue with the product.

  • Can I download applications from CS6 Creative Cloud on a Mac OS X?

Can I download applications from CS6 Creative Cloud on a Mac OS X?

Copying from this forum thread (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4395631)
Can you install the creative cloud suite on the Mac and PC?
Yes you have two installs per subscription which can be installed on Mac and Windows, two Macs, or two Windows computers.

I have got Indesign CS6 (Creative Cloud subscription) but I also need Indesign CS5.5. Can I buy it?

Adobe CS 5.5 is not available for sale from any reliable source, including Adobe.
If you see offers for the product on other websites, BEWARE! It's highly likely that they are bogus software, which is not legally obtained or licensed.

  • ANN: $30/month for CS6 Creative Cloud

Adobe is offering a low introductory rate of US $29.99/month for the first year to CS6 Creative Cloud subscribers who upgrade from any CS3+ products.
    http://9to5mac.com/2012/04/23/adobe-officially-launches-cs6-suite-offe rs-30month-introductory-pricing-on-creative-cloud/
    $30 x 12 mos = $360 vs their regular annual rate of $600.
What is Creative Cloud?  See below for details.

I'm at a disadvantage  because I haven't upgraded  since CS2.  To purchase a la carte (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat & Dreamweaver), I'd have to spend $2845.
Design Standard suite plus Dreamweaver will cost me $1698.
If I join the Cloud at regular rates, I'll only spend $600/yr.  So yeah, I'm tempted.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 Creative Cloud & ProRes presets

I am using the Atamos Ninja 2 to capture footage from my Canon 5D Mark III. One of the options on the Ninja 2 is to capture using the ProRes HQ codec. I'd really like to be able to take the ProRes footage and use Premiere Pro CS6 (creative cloud) on my MacBook Pro (10.8.3). Is there any way to do this? I don't see ProRes presets available. I can import the footage, but can't drag and drop it into the timeline.

    Joe Bloe,
Thanks. Here's what's interesting that I don't understand. I did what you pointed out previously. That works from a functionality perspective...sort of.
I originally captured at 30 fps (drop frame 29.97) on the Ninja 2 because of what I understood here:
    http://atomos.activehosted.com/kb/article/codecfrres/when-should-i-use-24p
When I used the technique you described, the sequence settings were the same technically. But the editing mode listed is ARRI Cinema. There are still no presets I can see for ProRes. I'm not sure if the sequence that resulted from the steps you described are taking advaantage of the ProRes codec. And since I don't see any presets anywhere in PPro for ProRes, I'm still wondering how to get them in PPro.
    I've seen this too:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/VideoRoad/2011/08/a-prores-workflow-end-to-end.html
But I don;t understand how, in the above instructions, the option to select Apple ProRes in the Video Preview setting is available. Is this a difference in CS6 from earlier versions?
Btw, I have the latest version of Compressor (and Quicktime) installed so I should have the ProRes codecs available.
I also downloaded the folder of ProRes codecs for AME and imported them that was available here:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5411
This still doesn't make the presets available in PPRo.
    What am I missing?

You can skip this step by hitting 'Cancel', import your media,
then do this to create a Sequence that matches your footage:
Or, select a media file, right-click and select "New Sequence From Clip".

  • Where are the default libraries for Encore CS6 Creative Cloud?

Where are the default libraries for Encore CS6 Creative Cloud?  I just installed, opened a new project and don't see any like I had with previous versions.  Is there a separate install for this, was it removed from CS6 or was it removed from CS6 Creative Cloud?

go read this and tell me what you think:

  • CS6 Creative Cloud

I currently have CS4 Web Premimum and I an interested in upgrading to the CS6 Creative Cloud.  How many computers can I use my subscription for?  Currently it is two, but I want to make sure this will still be the case for CS6.  Also would my CS4 applications run on alternate computers if I installed it?

One of the Adobe videos notes that a merit of the software is that you can mix and match users. For example if you have a freelancer who needs a copy of CS6 to fit in with your workflow then you can buy a month on month subscription. I imagine this would apply to a yearly subscription if you need to share it about within the licensing constraints. From what I've read you can only have one instance of CS6 "as long as they are not running at the same time". This is the wording of the terms "install them on your primary computer and one backup computer".

  • Is there a difference between Creative Suite CS6 & Creative Cloud?

Is there a difference between Creative Suite CS6 & Creative Cloud?

Poorly executed? May be. No native and still learning.
Not living in the country, where it´s easy to become a company owner.
So, keep cool... There will be the day I learned. I try my best.
The terrible syntax is mostly based on google translate..
    Narrow minded? Hm, may be.
The difference between file access AFTER subscription only my problem?
    Hm, hm, hm?
My business dependent on Adobes layers? Did I say/write that?
    Upps.
And you think, I don´t have to care about these (my) layers? Hm.
And on the other hand telling me about Quality (which is better than quantity)?
May be I did something wrong till today.
And I have to be glad, that there still are clients...
    Thank God.
If someone has a legitimate question...
And the answer has to come from professionals...
Sorry, I just thought, the staff-answer didn´t describe the differences between CS and CC completely. Thought, there is missing a bit & want to help.
But if you think it wasn´t necessary... And the difference between the both was perfectly and completely given, in a professional way, like you want,...
    Then Sorry, ... excuse.
I don´t want to confuse with useless information...

  • Remove Bounding Box (Photoshop CS6)

    Hey
since Photoshop CS5 (Mac), there is always shown a grey bounding box around the content of the selected layer, when I move it. For CS5 there exists a plugin, that removes this terrible box, but it doesn't work anymore with CS6.
Can anyone help me to get rid of this awful "feature"?
    Thanks a lot
    Philip
    Example:

I don't know if this is a more recent addition to CS6, but at least now there's another way to get rid of that bounding box. Select the move tool, and there should be a check box to "show transform controls", which ought to do the trick.
The original post was about a different kind of "bounding box" that was showing up as a lazy non-tracking grey annoyance as you dragged layers around in the first iteration of PSCS6. Adobe provided a plugin to deal with it (mentioned above) and that worked. The latest version (13.0.4) doesn't seem to have this bug anymore and the plugin appears to be no longer neccessary.
The Transform Control "bounding box/handles" element has been around for quite some time. Two different things. However,  your post prompted me to check the plugin fix. I removed it and discovering it was no longer needed. Leaving in place does no harm either.

  • I am currently using CS6 Creative Cloud, why can't I upgrade to CS2014 using the same membership?

I pay a monthly fee of $29.99 for Creative Cloud membership.  The version I have been using is CS6.  When I try to upgrade to the newest version, it tells me I have a 30 day free trial.  When I try to activate, it asks for a redemption code, which I don't have.  All I want to do is keep my membership but access the latest versions of the software.
